A couple have gone viral over their Shrek-themed wedding, where they painted themselves green for the ceremony and guests dressed up as their favourite fairytale character
A couple have become an internet sensation, thanks their extraordinary Shrek-themed wedding.
Amanda and Nathan Gibbs painted themselves green for the big day, while guests arrived dressed as various fairytale characters, including the Gingerbread Man, Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean, and Mickey Mouse.
Although the wedding took place in 2013, it recently captured hearts online after a video clip went viral, earning the title “iconic”.
In the footage, Nathan is seen embodying Shrek, and bride Amanda dons a ginger wig alongside Princess Fiona’s signature green velvet gown.
Instead of traditional wedding gifts, the couple requested donations to cancer charities, successfully raising £2,000. The clip, posted on @cineatomy’s Instagram, has amassed over 330,000 likes, with social media users praising the joyous occasion.
