Held at the Mattel toy store, the event was a dream come true for dozens of children who were given the opportunity to fill shopping carts with toys.

Prince was dressed casually, donning a white T-shirt emblazoned with the Heal Los Angeles logo which he paired with a dark-colored baseball cap that read “Neverland Valley Ranch.” His relaxed look, coupled with his warm smile and beard, gave him an approachable air.

“I come from a very rich family history, and those are some big shoes to fill,” he admitted. “I don’t know if I ever could, but I wear it with — it’s like a badge of honor. You know, my siblings and I, we each kind of got a piece of him in different ways,” added Prince, who was referring to his dad and the Jackson family.

As the founders graduated, their vision for Heal Los Angeles expanded. Transitioning into a non-profit organization allowed the foundation to take on a broader role in community development.

This has included partnerships with other organizations to amplify their reach and deliver innovative solutions tailored to the aspirations of the youth they serve.

Prince has long been vocal about the importance of honoring his father’s legacy. During a heartfelt discussion from 2021 with Good Morning Britain, Prince shared how deeply his father’s charitable and positive values resonate with him to this day.

“When we were growing up, my father would say, ‘We could have nothing, but you look around in this room, your brother, your sister, and me, that’s all you’ll ever have.’ And that always stuck with my siblings and I [sic], and we have such a close relationship,” disclosed Prince.

As the eldest, Prince felt a sense of responsibility to lead by example, a role his father encouraged him to embrace. “My father would always tell me, I have to make sure that the group is taken care of and that I have to kind of be the leader,” he revealed.

“At this point in our life, it doesn’t really feel like there’s that hierarchy of: I’m the older brother. It’s [sic] more, we’re all siblings and we’re kind of all on that same level where my sister has her strengths and my brother has his strengths, and where I’m not as strong in certain areas, they complement me in that way,” he explained.
