Q. On which parts of the body can we get blackheads?

A. Blackheads are a type of acne that commonly appear on the face and nose. However, they can also appear on the chest, arms, back, and shoulders. You should keep a lookout for them, and every once in while indulge in an effective body treatment that will get rid of all the blackheads on your body. In addition, look into the treatments for whiteheads as well.

Q. Does squeezing them out cause any harm?

A. Squeezing any part of the skin is never a good idea since there is always a chance that you will harm your skin. Squeezing might also increase the chances of infection, and may leave a scar on the skin.

Q. Can we scrub blackheads out?

A. Blackheads cannot be scrubbed away. They are too deep in the pores to be removed by scrubbing. Rubbing or scrubbing hard only causes irritation. And this, in turn, can lead to increased sebum production.

To remove blackheads naturally at home, you can try several methods including steaming, using a baking soda and lemon juice paste, or applying a honey and cinnamon maskOther options include oatmeal and yogurt masks, green tea treatments, or using tea tree oil.

Effective Home Remedies for Blackhead Removal:
  • Boiling water and holding your face over the steam (covered with a towel) for 5-10 minutes can help soften the skin and open up pores, making it easier to remove blackheads.

  • Mix a tablespoon of baking soda with half a tablespoon of fresh lemon juice to form a paste. Apply it to blackhead-prone areas, let it dry, and then rinse with warm water.

  • Combine 1 tablespoon of honey with ½ teaspoon of cinnamon. Apply the mixture to your face, leave it for 15 minutes, and then rinse off.

  • Mix 2 tablespoons of oatmeal with 3 tablespoons of yogurt. Apply to your face, gently massage, and leave for 15 minutes before rinsing.

  • Brew green tea and let it cool. You can apply the cooled tea to your face or use the wet tea leaves as a scrub.

  • Apply a few drops of tea tree oil to a cotton applicator and gently rub it on your blackheads.

Additional Tips:
  • Exfoliate Regularly:

Use a gentle scrub (like a sugar or salt scrub) to remove dead skin cells and help dislodge blackheads.

  • Moisturize:

After any treatment, it’s important to moisturize your skin to prevent dryness.

  • Non-comedogenic Products:

Use skincare and makeup products that are labeled “non-comedogenic” to avoid clogging your pores.

  • Avoid Picking:
Picking at blackheads can lead to inflammation and scarring. It’s better to use gentle methods to remove them.

I was lucky enough to be among those able to attend his last journey along Broad Street in the city as fans gathered in respect to the Black Sabbath icon.

What stood out was the sheer love and adoration Ozzy had both in life and death. It was clear to see exactly what he meant to so many different types of people, which spanned far more than music. He was a reality TV master, becoming the very first to let cameras into his home and follow his life with wife Sharon and their kids. Ozzy became known for his personality just as much as his music, which certainly stands the test of time thanks to both Black Sabbath and his solo material.

WANDERING the grounds of his Buckinghamshire mansion, Ozzy Osbourne turned to his friend Dave Hogan and said: “Do you know what? I’d forgotten we even had this house.”

It was 2006, and the Black Sabbath frontman and his wife Sharon had spent so much time filming MTV reality show The Osbournes in LA, they hadn’t returned to the estate in Little Chalfont for several years.

Today, their pal — legendary Sun photographer Dave — reveals how Ozzy, who died on Tuesday aged 76, was one of the most down-to-earth, funny and welcoming celebrities he ever met in his long career.

The snapper, affectionately known in the showbiz world as Hogie, recalls: “That day, he really did make me laugh.

“I was taking his picture for The Sun, but he didn’t want the house shown as they’d been burgled there so didn’t want to feature the actual property.

“Instead, we went into the grounds. He suddenly stopped, looked around and said how he’d forgotten they even owned it.

“It was the kind of thing he would just come out with.” Dave added of Ozzy, who revealed in 2020 that he had Parkinson’s disease “He was great company, a lovely man.

“There was no filter, he was just honest. He spoke what he thought and that was it.”

Ozzy’s family announced the heavy metal legend had died “surrounded by love” at the Grade II listed mansion in Welders, Bucks, that they bought in 1993.

Recently, the Osbournes built a “rehab” wing on the sprawling estate, which included a health and welfare exercise studio, art studio room, pool house and spa.

Phil Collins health update

Speculation about Phil’s health in recent days and weeks had led to increased concern for the Another Day in Paradise singer.

Back in 2022, drumming legend Phil reportedly revealed he was “very sick” and retired from live performances. It was reported he could “barely hold a drumstick”.

Phil is said to have told Mojo magazine, following Genesis’s final concert at London’s O2 Arena, that he was no longer “hungry for it any more”.

He said at the time: “I keep thinking I should go downstairs to the studio and see what happens, but I’m not hungry for it any more. The thing is, I’ve been sick – I mean very sick.”

Phil Collins hospitalisation

Phil has also endured a series of other health challenges, including nerve damage from a spinal injury sustained in 2007. It’s believed the injury concerns the vertebrae in his upper neck.

Phil also has acute pancreatitis and also has ‘foot drop’, which means he wears orthopaedic shoes.

However, recent false reports have reportedly been dismissed with Phil’s spokesperson said to have emphasised the star is not in end-of-life care. Nonetheless, it has been reported that it is on the record that Phil was hospitalised for a knee op.

The Sun also reports how Phil previously admitted he believed he had “used up my air miles”. He is said to have made the comments in a documentary after he performed in a wheelchair for the final Genesis gig.

‘A shock’

The documentary also featured Phil addressing how decades of playing the drums had affected him physically.

It was noted how his hands, feet and body absorbed the effects of high-intensity performances across hundreds of performances across the world.

Phil said: “If I wake up one day and I can hold a pair of drumsticks, then I’ll have a crack of it. But I just feel like I’ve used up my air miles. It’s still kind of sinking in a bit.

I just feel like I’ve used up my air miles.

“I’ve spent all my life playing drums. To be suddenly not be able to do that is a shock. If I can’t do what I did as well as I did it, I’d rather relax and not do anything.”

Phil, who has been married three times, is also a father of five. His children include actor Joely, 52; drummer Simon, 48; Emily in Paris star Lily, 36; drummer Nic, 24; and soccer player Mathew, 20.

Jason Momoa has shaved his beard for the first time in six years to tell an important message

Many fans of Jason Momoa have been left in disbelief after seeing the Aquaman star shave off his beard for the first time in six years.

The 45-year-old has become known over the years for his signature beard, but taking to Instagram recently the actor revealed that was no more.

On Wednesday (July 30), Momoa shared a video of himself shaving his iconic beard for the first time in over half a decade in an important message about single-use plastic.

“Haven’t shaved in six years, and here we are again,” the actor wrote in the caption.

The Dune star then explained: “I launched @mananalu to help eliminate single-use plastic. Now, we’re taking it even further, partnering with our team at @Getboomerangwater to bring in a closed-loop system that sanitizes and bottles water onsite.

“That means even less waste, reduced shipping footprint, and our aluminum bottles get reused over and over.

“This is the future, and we’re starting in Hawaii. Let’s get rid of single-use plastic. For our children and for our planet. All my aloha, J.”

In the video, Momoa said: “Only for you, Denis,” as he referred to Dune filmmaker Denis Villeneuve.

“Goddamnit! I hate it,” the actor then said about his new look.

Momoa’s grooming regime has seemingly left many fans speechless online, with one person penning on Twitter: “Babe wake up Jason Mamoa has a bald face,” while a second added: “Jason Mamoa looks completely different!!”

Nakoa-Wolf, Momoa’s son, is playing the role of Timothee Chalamet and Zendaya’s on-screen child in the third Dune movie, that is set to hit screens in December 2026.

Momoa, who is also returning for the third Dune instalment as Duncan Idaho, has dismissed any speculation he helped his son get the acting role, insisting his teenage son did it on his own accord.

Speaking to Extra recently, Momoa joked: “He’s in for a rude awakening is what he’s in for. He’s into the workforce for the first time.”

And addressing those nepo baby claims, the Hollywood actor added: “It’s going to be good. He did it on his own. I don’t want to help him, and he’s done it all on his own, and good for him.

“You want your children to be better than you, and I really, actually believe he is. I couldn’t do what he’s doing at his age. There’s no way I could sit in a room with [Dune 3 director] Denis Villeneuve and hold my own. I was on Baywatch at 19. He’s 16 and holding s*** down with Denis Villeneuve.”

The movie is set to release in 2026, so we’ll see how much screen time Momoa and his son have together.

Hulk Hogan’s daughter, Brooke, has shared in her own words what happened between her and her father in the years prior to his death.

Wrestling legend Hogan, whose real name is Terry Bollea, passed away on 24 July at the age of 71, after first responders were called to a scene in Florida on reports of a cardiac arrest.

Hogan was taken to hospital, but was sadly pronounced dead.

His death came after he spent decades as an icon of WWE, having headlined the first WrestleMania event in 1985. He was known to have suffered a number of health issues in recent years, and now Brooke has explained how his health journey tied into her becoming more distant from her dad.

In a lengthy statement shared on Instagram, Brooke claimed the media has been ‘convoluting the narrative’ around her and her father, so she wanted to ‘clear a few things up’.

“We never had a ‘big fight.’ My father and I never ‘fought,'” she said, insisting they’d instead had a ‘series of private phone calls no one will ever hear, know, or understand’. Her statement comes after Brooke’s mom and Hogan’s ex-wife, Linda, claimed in March Brooke had a ‘huge fight’ with Hogan.

However, Brooke assured that Hogan was ‘confiding’ in her about issues he was experiencing and she ‘begged him to rest’, even moving down to Florida to be closer to him.

“We had been though almost 25 surgeries together, and then all of a sudden he didn’t want me at surgeries… everything started getting covered in a thick veil. It was like there was a force field around him that I couldn’t get through,” she said.

Brooke described feeling a ‘disconnect’ and said she and her father started having disagreements which took an ’emotional toll’.

“During the last two years, I had to step away to protect my heart,” she explained. “My husband stayed open, quietly reaching out to my dad without me knowing, trying to find a safe way back in for me. After my father passed, I read those messages, some answered, some ignored… but all of them broke my heart.”

Brooke expressed belief she ‘did everything [she] could’, adding: “He knew I would run through a burning building for him. And in many ways, along the path of life, I did. He knows how deeply, how hard and how purely I loved him. I am at peace knowing this.

“All I ever truly wanted from my father was love, honesty, and a deep connection. And for a few special years, I had that – with memories that will last a lifetime.”

Brooke admitted her life is ‘forever changed’, but noted her dad’s life will ‘always’ be one ‘worth celebrating’.

Blackheads, a type of mild acne, form when pores become clogged with dead skin cells and oil, which then oxidize and darken when exposed to airTo remove them, you can use over-the-counter products containing salicylic acid, exfoliate regularly, and avoid touching your face. For persistent or deep blackheads, a dermatologist can offer professional extraction or prescription medications like retinoids.

Here’s a more detailed look at the causes and treatments:
Causes of Blackheads:
  • Clogged Pores:

Blackheads form when hair follicles (pores) become blocked with dead skin cells and excess sebum (oil).

  • Oxidation:

The dark appearance of blackheads is due to the interaction of the trapped material with oxygen, causing it to oxidize.

  • Other Factors:

Hormonal changes, certain medications, and even some cosmetics can contribute to increased oil production and potentially lead to blackheads.

How to Remove Blackheads:
  1. 1. Over-the-counter treatments:
    • Salicylic Acid: This beta hydroxy acid (BHA) helps exfoliate the skin and unclog pores, says La Roche-Posay.
    • Benzoyl Peroxide: This helps kill bacteria and reduce inflammation, especially helpful if blackheads are turning into inflamed pimples.
    • Exfoliating Scrubs: Gentle scrubs can help remove dead skin cells, but avoid harsh scrubs as they can irritate the skin.
  2. 2. Professional Extraction:
    • Dermatologist: A dermatologist can safely extract blackheads using specialized tools and techniques.
    • Mechanical Extraction: This involves using a tool to gently push out the contents of the clogged pore, according to Medanta.
  3. 3. Other Treatments:
    • Retinoids: These prescription-strength vitamin A derivatives help to unclog pores and promote skin cell turnover, according to Medanta.
    • Chemical Peels: These peels use acids to exfoliate the skin and improve skin texture, which can help with blackheads.
    • Honey and Tea Tree Oil: These natural remedies have antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, according to Healthline.
Important Tips:
  • Avoid Squeezing:

Squeezing blackheads can lead to inflammation, scarring, and infection.

  • Gentle Cleansing:

Wash your face twice a day with a mild cleanser to remove excess oil and dirt.

  • Hydrate Skin:

Use oil-free moisturizers to maintain skin hydration without clogging pores.

  • Sun Protection:

Blackhead treatments can make skin more sensitive to the sun, so use sunscreen daily.

  • Consult a Dermatologist:
If you have persistent or severe blackheads, consult a dermatologist for appropriate treatment options.

Sharon and Ozzy’s relationship

A love story for the ages, Sharon and Ozzy met in the 70’s but it wasn’t until nine years later that sparks began to fly.

Things weren’t always plain sailing for the couple, but their love overcame it all. They welcomed three children together – Kelly, Jack and Aimee.

Over the years the Osbourne’s became a much-loved and iconic family. But before their TV show, Ozzy was even arrested for attempting to murder Sharon – however, she never pressed charges.

Their relationship was hit with affairs and a suicide attempt but, in 2017, the pair renewed their vows. And from then they remained stronger than ever.

But their journey came to a heartbreaking end when Ozzy died. Sharon has been seen for the first time since his death, at his funeral. And her grief was all too clear.

How was Sharon supported at funeral of Ozzy Osbourne?

After Ozzy’s hearse headed through Birmingham City Centre, Sharon and her children got out to look at the tributes left for the music icon.

The funeral procession played music from Black Sabbath and had pink flowers spelling out Ozzy’s name. But it was the tributes and cheers from fans that had Sharon Osbourne in tears at the funeral of Ozzy.

The 72 year old was physically held up by Kelly and Jack, after she nearly fell down looking at the tributes.

On numerous occasions Sharon stopped and just looked around her, taking in the world’s love for her husband.

But at one point it all seemed to get quite overwhelming as the crowd began to chant “Ozzy Ozzy Ozzy, oi oi oi”. At that moment, Sharon and her family looked out at the crowds and all did the rock sign to them. A beautiful nod to her husband’s legacy.

Sharon didn’t stay out too long, but it was long enough for the world to see how much pain she is in. And from the second she left the car, she was in tears.

It was a very emotional watch for everyone worldwide.
