Marilyn Manson: Unmasked contains serious claims about the musician

Warning: This article contains discussion of rape and sexual assault which some readers may find distressing.

A new documentary about the musician Marilyn Manson, real name Brian Warner, contains a plethora of serious claims and allegations.

Marilyn Manson: Unmasked is showing on Channel 4 and declares it follows the singer’s life ‘from his meteoric rise as the self-proclaimed ‘Antichrist Superstar’ to the chilling abuse allegations that have engulfed his career’.

Claiming it ‘dives deep into Manson’s world to separate fact from fiction’, the documentary speaks to his accusers, including his former partner Evan Rachel Wood, who started dating the singer when she was 18 and he was 37.

They got engaged in 2010, but their relationship ended soon afterwards, and in 2021, Wood made allegations claiming that Manson ‘started grooming me when I was a teenager and horrifically abused me for years’. She also previously told a congressional committee that she had been raped and abused, but didn’t name the alleged perpetrator.

Manson denied the claims and later sued Wood for defamation and emotional distress, though last year Deadline reported that he dropped the suit and paid her $327,000 (£267,000) in legal fees.

Among her allegations, Wood said that she had been told that in the music video for ‘Heart-Shaped Glasses’, a reference to the poster for the Stanley Kubrick film of Lolita, there would be a sex scene between her and Manson.

However, she alleged that she’d been told cameras and lighting would be set up to make it difficult to see anything, but when they got on set, she claimed that Manson ‘just started pulling my clothes off’.

She said: “From there, it just didn’t stop. They yelled cut. The next thing I knew, the entire crew walked on set. And I was sitting on the bed naked, just crying.

“I felt so f**king violated, but I didn’t call it rape for like, many many years.”

Also appearing in the documentary is Manson’s attorney Howard King, who said it was ‘demonstrably false that Brian Warner raped Evan Rachel Wood while filming a music video’, describing the claim as ‘completely fabricated’.

Marilyn Manson: Unmasked will cover these claims and allegations made by others, including former fan Jennifer Pavao, who told the documentary that when she was in high school, the singer once asked her to send him pictures of her through a hotline set up so fans could talk to the band.

Pavao claimed that the singer signed one of her lunchboxes: “To Jen, you cum-guzzling gutter-slut, love Marilyn.”

She also alleged that when they spoke over the phone, he told her to ‘call me daddy’ and said the first time she saw a man’s penis was during an alleged incident where Manson is claimed to have exposed himself on stage.

Dentist explains reason your teeth are yellow even though you 'always brush them'

Dentist explains reason your teeth are yellow even though you 'always brush them'

Dr Zainab Mackie shared some dental advice with social media users and it might not be what you expect

If you take good care of your teeth but still can’t achieve that pearly white shade, this dentist might be able to help with your dilemma.

Dr Zainab Mackie explained that a lot of people who think they do a good job of caring for their oral health are actually making major mistakes.

And as a result of this, your teeth might have that dreaded yellow hue rather than that lovely white colour we all want.

There are a few things we can do to keep our smile shining, such as brushing and flossing regularly, getting regular cleanings and avoiding consuming things which might stain our teeth.

But what if you’re already doing all of that stuff and still seem to have discolouration on your gnashers?

Well, according to Dr Mackie, you are probably committing one of these cardinal sins despite being under the illusion you’re an amateur oral health expert.

The dentist, from the US state of Michigan, shared a TikTok video responding to a concerned bloke who said he ‘brushes everyday’ but ‘still has yellow teeth’.

She kindly offered the social media user some advice, explaining there could be a few possible reasons for this.

What could be causing yellow teeth?

Brushing too hard

“You might be brushing too hard, stripping away that white enamel,” Dr Mackie said.

The hard outer layer which coats our teeth and protects them from damage can erode away over time, but you can really speed up the process if you’re being too enthusiastic with your toothbrush.

Aggressive brushing ‘can erode the tough enamel shield, letting dentin show through, making teeth appear yellow and increasing sensitivity’, according to Willow Tree Dental.

As well as this, you are putting yourself at risk of increased plaque buildup, more cavities and even tooth loss – so chill out a bit with your brushing.

Diet and lifestyle

Dr Mackie explained that your diet and lifestyle also has a lot to do with the colour of your teeth.

If you smoke, are on certain medications or are partial to drinks and snacks with staining-power, your gnashers might not be that white anymore.

“If you drink too much pop, that’s going to stain your teeth,” the dentist continued. “Acidic fruit juices are definitely a teeth stainer.”

Think twice before you shove anything vibrantly coloured, sugary or acidic in your mouth, as this could leave a mark on your teeth.

So, how do you avoid yellow teeth?

To keep a glittering smile, Dr Mackie advises avoiding over-brushing and sipping fizzy drinks and juice which can erode your enamel through a straw.

Social media users were grateful for the expert’s insight and flooded the comment section with their thoughts.

One said: “So I’ve been brushing too hard!!”

Another wrote: “Not me drinking orange juice literally after brushing my teeth.”

A third added: “Watching while drinking a whole bottle of coke.”

And a fourth wrote: “Ok, now how do you fix that…”

Expert reveals devastating way man suffered 'worst death imaginable' 15 years on from tragedy

A news report was broadcast 15 years on from the tragedy, explaining exactly what happened

An expert has explained the horrific way that explorer and spelunker John Edward Jones became stuck in the infamous Nutty Putty Cave, more than 15 years ago.

The American cave explorer liked to push himself while doing his hobby, but took it a step too far when he went to the Utah desert on 24 November 2009.

Accompanied by his fellow spelunking brother, Jones took a wrong turn while inside the cave, getting stuck in an unmapped passageway called ‘the birth canal’.

The father was stuck upside for more than 24 hours in the cave, and despite authorities being called to help, Jones would suffer the ‘worst death imaginable’.

After numerous attempts to free him, the decision was made to close the cave off and leave him inside.

Jones, 26, has been honoured with a plaque and wreath at the cave’s entrance, with the tragedy becoming so famous that a film was made about the incident.

‘The birth canal’, where he would eventually perish, was just 10 inches by 18 inches wide, located 400 ft from the cave’s entrance.

At six feet tall, Jones couldn’t be saved. Every method in the book was pulled out by rescue teams, but with every breath, the father’s chest would expand and wedge him further into the tight space.

Now, 15 years on, in November 2024, a news report for ABC4 Utah on the trainee doctor’s death was carried out, outlining exactly how Jones got stuck, and the efforts behind it.

Explaining that he got wedged in the small crevice, the news reporter added: “For over a day, search and rescue tried many methods to get John out, but they all failed.

“The fourth attempt to pull John out, the rope and pulley system used broke, dropping John back down into the cave, deeper than before.”

Speaking on the event’s 15-year anniversary, the reporter went on: “After laying upside down (for) more than 24 hours, the effect of gravity took a toll on John’s body. At midnight, Jones was declared dead.”

“Authorities determined it was too dangerous to recover Jones’s body and sealed the cave off as his final resting place. A plaque now sits at the entrance of the cave in John’s memory,” he concluded.

The report included archive footage of his brother Josh, who recalled what he saw: “The closest I could get basically was just seeing his two feet, kind of being eaten up by that little crevice, you know, I couldn’t see his body at all.”

Archive footage of Utah County Sheriff’s spokesperson, Sgt. Spencer Cannon, was also included in the report.

At the time of their rescue attempts, he spoke after the fourth attempt, which saw the rope and pulley system break.

“There’s an incredible sense of disappointment and discouragement about that having happened because they know that it was hard to get him to that point.

“Getting him back to that point again would be a real effort,” he stated in 2009.

Charlie Cox would love to do Kin season three as he opens up on possible return

There’s another role the Daredevil star would ‘love’ to return to

Charlie Cox has said he would ‘jump at the chance’ of filming a season three of Kin.

The actor played Michael Kinsella in the Irish crime drama but is, of course, best known for playing Marvel’s Matt Murdock – AKA, Daredevil.

With the Brit soon to return as the character for Daredevil: Born Again, he’s discussed being open to also return to his role in Kin – but that might not be quite as possible right now.

Despite being a hugely popular series, the future of the Dublin-set show seems to have been up in the air with star Emmett J Scanlan previously saying he loved working on the show but admitted there was a bit of a ‘bidding war’ for it.

And this feelings were echoed by Cox, who exclusively told LADbible it was ‘one of the greatest, greatest jobs’ he’s ever had.

He said: “Just being in Dublin, in and of itself was amazing. I hadn’t spent that much time in Ireland before. Just had such a beautiful time, amazing people, amazing city, amazing country.

“And, you know, we fought the shoot the first season during COVID as well. So we were so lucky just to kind of be working and, you know, with people and making, making the television show, being creative, making content.”

The star went on to call the writer and showrunner, Peter McKenna, an ‘utterly amazing talent’ as he was ‘blown away’ by every script, praising him for bringing the world to life in way that was both ‘so touching and so scary’.

“I found it to be really, really moving,” he added. “And when you do watch that show, it’s kind of amazing how you can feel so deeply for characters who are really kind of awful, and not people that you’d want to have relationships with in real life, in any way.”

Explaining he ‘would loved to do season three’, Cox admitted he doesn’t know if it’s possible.

“I know there are some issues, legal issues with the ownership of the show, or something like that. I have no idea,” he added. “But certainly if they were to come to me with the possibility of a third season, I would jump at that chance, because I loved making it.

“The actors in that show were just phenomenal. I felt very, very honoured to be, to be a part of it.”

Marvel’s new Daredevil series is finally coming (Netflix)

Well, while we may have to wait (with hope) to see Cox back on screen as Kinsella, there’s not so long to go until we see him as the one and only Daredevil.

The first trailer for the Marvel series releases today (15 January) ahead of the highly anticipated release, with Born Again coming after the star’s portrayal of the lead in Netflix’s previous Daredevil series.

This new show will follow Murdock fighting for justice through his bustling law firm, while his old mob boss Wilson Fisk (Vincent D’Onofrio) is running for mayor of New York City.

It’s a continuation of the last series, said to be about five years on and will explore the collision of the pair’s past identities.

The devastating Los Angeles wildfires have captured headlines for the lives lost and the communities left in ruins.

But even if you live nowhere near California, the fallout of this catastrophic disaster could affect you.

Firefighters continue to battle several raging wildfires, with the destruction already reaching staggering proportions.

At least 25 lives have been lost, and more than 12,000 homes, businesses, schools, and other structures have been reduced to ashes.

Two of the largest fires, the Palisades and Eaton fires, have burned almost 40,000 acres, turning entire neighborhoods into unrecognizable wastelands.

Preliminary estimates from AccuWeather suggest that the damage and economic losses from the blazes could fall between $135 billion and $150 billion, making this the costliest wildfire disaster in modern U.S. history.

“These fast-moving, wind-driven infernos have created one of the costliest wildfire disasters in modern U.S. history,” Jonathan Porter, chief meteorologist at AccuWeather, said. “Hurricane-force winds sent flames ripping through neighborhoods filled with multi-million-dollar homes. The devastation left behind is heartbreaking and the economic toll is staggering.”

To grasp the scale, Porter explained: “To put this into perspective, the total damage and economic loss from this wildfire disaster could reach nearly 4 percent of the annual GDP of the state of California.”

The financial toll extends far beyond the immediate destruction of homes and property.

AccuWeather’s estimates account for various factors, such as residential and commercial property damage, infrastructure and vehicle destruction, healthcare expenses for those affected, lost wages, and supply chain disruptions.

However, insurance won’t come close to covering the total losses. JPMorgan Chase revealed that insurance payouts are expected to amount to just $20 billion, leaving a staggering $115 billion in uncovered costs, per Daily Mail.

These uncovered expenses will likely be addressed through federal aid, personal savings, and charitable contributions – but that doesn’t mean everyday Americans won’t feel the strain.

For taxpayers and policyholders across the country, the wildfire’s financial fallout will have long-lasting effects as higher insurance premiums, limited coverage options, and increased disaster relief spending will have significant consequences.

Insurance broker Aon PLC has predicted that the wildfires will become the most expensive in U.S. history.

Meanwhile, Moody’s analysts issued a stark warning: “The scale and intensity of the blazes, combined with their geographic footprint, suggest a staggering price tag, both in terms of the human cost and the economic toll,” per ABC7.

Eve McCarthy, a 21-year-old from Ireland, fell to her death on Friday (January 10) after walking the infamous Caminito del Rey pathway, close to the village of El Chorro in Malaga, Spain.

According to The Sun, the student was hiking in an area known to rock climbers as the “Swiss sector” near the “Arabic Staircase” when she and her male friend strayed from the designated path.

Both McCarthy and her unnamed friend lost their balance and fell over the edge of the ravine. Her companion, who managed to grasp onto an outcropping of rock covered in bushes, survived the fall while she tragically died.

The victim’s body was recovered by emergency services after the alarm was raised just after 7PM. Her friend was said to be in a state of shock when rescued by officials, Daily Mail reported.

A spokesman for the force in Malaga said: “I can confirm the woman who died was an Irish 21-year-old,” per Irish Times.

The 21-year-old was a final-year student of physiology at University College Dublin. She previously attended Loreto Abbey School in Dalkey.

The King’s Inn bar in Dalkey, where McCarthy worked, announced her heartbreaking death in a post shared on Facebook, which read: “It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we inform you of the sad death of our colleague & friend Eve McCarthy.

“Eve was a big part of The King’s Inn family bringing so much joy and laughter with her fun-loving way of life,” they continued, adding: “Eve had great wit and was always so bubbly with a beautiful smile. We will miss Eve more than words can express. RIP Eve.”

People took to the comment section to share their condolences. “Heartbroken over this. She was such a nice and fun person. Condolences to Eve’s family and to you all at the Kings inn,” one person wrote.

A second said: “I will never forget her contagious smile and witty observations, it was an absolute pleasure to work with her. RIP Eve.”

A third added: “Such a lovely young person, with a wonderful curiosity for life and a willing smile for every customer. So so sad. Sincere condolences to her family, friends, and the Kings in family. RIP Eve.”

The ‘Material Girl’ star, 66, took to Instagram on Tuesday to share a series of photos, captioned: “So Good to be Home again.”

In the snaps, Madonna rocked a mesh top and black miniskirt, and calf-length patent boots as she reclined on a bed.

In some of the photos she was reading the book Bone by Yrsa Daley-Ward, as well as Pamela Anderson’s I Love You: Recipes From The Heart book.

Madonna gave the camera a series of seductive looks as she crawled and rolled around the bed, which was laden with soft toys including a Pikachu plushy.

Fans quickly flooded the comments with praise, even hailing her the “most beautiful woman in the world”.

They wrote: “how is it like to be the most beautiful woman in the world?”, and: “Stoooop these are stunning.”

Others added: “My gorgeous Queen!”, and: “One thing about Madonna is she doesn’t age at all and always look good.”

One fan commented: “Flawless Queen as always,” while another added: “You still got it baby! Not that you ever lost it, but … yup!”

Madonna’s post comes after she returned home after she kicked off 2025 with a trip to Japan.

She shared a highlight reel from her trip, telling her followers: “Thank you, Japan for The most Magical and Inspiring experience with the ones I love! A beautiful way to start the New Year!”

Prior to her trip, Madonna had celebrated Christmas and Hannukah with four of her children – Lourdes Leon, 28, Chifundo ‘Mercy’ James, 18, and 12-year-old twins Stella and Estere — as well as her boyfriend Akeem Morris, 28.

She and Morris had met in August 2022 but didn’t go official as a couple until almost two years later.

Madonna confirmed that she and the former college soccer player were official in July after she shared a post for Independence Day.

She wrote at the time: “Happy 4th of July! A year ago today, I had just come home from the hospital after surviving a life threatening illness, I could barely stand in my backyard holding one sparkler.

“I made a miraculous recovery and had an amazing year. Thank you God. Life is beautiful!”

Morris also joined Madonna in Italy the following month as she marked her 66th birthday.

The couple are rumored to have briefly broken up in October 2024, but got back together a couple of weeks later.

Breaking news: Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens Sign $400 Million Deal with CBS for Morning Show to Rival ‘The View’.

Breaking news: Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens Sign $400 Million Deal with CBS for Morning Show to Rival ‘The View’.

Breaking news: Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens Sign $400 Million Deal with CBS for Morning Show to Rival ‘The View’.

In a move that has left both fans and critics alike buzzing, Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens have reportedly inked a jaw-dropping $400 million deal with CBS to host a new morning show set to directly rival ABC’s The View. The deal, which is already being touted as one of the biggest in television history, marks a bold new chapter in daytime TV—one where conservative voices will take center stage and shake up the status quo.

According to insiders, the new show will be a direct counterbalance to The View, a daytime talk show that has long been a bastion of liberal opinions. Kelly and Owens, two of the most outspoken conservative voices in modern media, are preparing to take on the well-established left-leaning format and give viewers an alternative perspective that mainstream networks have largely ignored. With the stakes set so high, CBS is banking on the star power and controversy these two women bring to the table to generate massive ratings—and plenty of headlines.

The pairing of Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens is both surprising and strategic. Kelly, a veteran journalist with years of experience at Fox News and NBC, has long been a polarizing figure in the media world. After her high-profile departure from NBC following a controversy over her comments on blackface, Kelly retreated from the mainstream spotlight—only to stage a comeback on her own digital platform. Now, with this new CBS deal, she’s back on primetime television, and she’s ready to reclaim her role as a leading voice in conservative media.

Owens, on the other hand, is the brash, unfiltered commentator who has built her brand on rejecting political correctness and embracing controversial positions on everything from Black Lives Matter to feminism. Known for her sharp-tongued critiques of the left and her unapologetic defense of conservative values, Owens has amassed a massive following online. Pairing her with Kelly, who has a more traditional journalistic background, gives CBS the one-two punch they need to go head-to-head with The View.

Together, Kelly and Owens are poised to be an unstoppable force in daytime television, and it’s clear CBS is banking on their contrasting personalities and shared political ideology to resonate with an audience that feels underrepresented by shows like The View.

CBS’s investment in Kelly and Owens is staggering, and it signals the network’s commitment to creating a show that can rival The View in both viewership and cultural impact. The $400 million deal covers multiple seasons, giving the duo ample time to build their audience and develop the kind of chemistry that turns regular talk shows into must-watch TV.

But why such a massive price tag? According to media insiders, CBS sees an untapped market of conservative viewers who have been clamoring for a show that represents their views. While The View has dominated daytime television for decades with its progressive slant, there’s been little in the way of competition from the right. With Kelly and Owens leading the charge, CBS hopes to fill that void and capture the hearts and minds of viewers who feel alienated by The View’s increasingly liberal tone.

“This isn’t just a talk show—it’s a cultural shift,” said one CBS executive, speaking anonymously. “There are millions of viewers who feel like their voices aren’t being heard, and we’re giving them a platform. Kelly and Owens are two of the most powerful conservative voices out there, and we believe they can deliver the kind of ratings we’ve been missing.”

With this announcement, the rivalry between Kelly and Owens’ new show and The View has already begun to heat up. While The View has long prided itself on being a space for “diverse opinions,” critics have often accused the show of skewing heavily to the left. The addition of Kelly and Owens to the morning talk show landscape will offer a sharp contrast to The View’s progressive hosts, such as Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar, who often dominate the conversation.

Early reports suggest that Kelly and Owens are eager to engage in direct debates with The View hosts on everything from politics to culture to current events. “We’re not afraid of a fight,” Kelly said in a recent interview. “If The View wants to keep pushing their woke agenda, we’re ready to offer an alternative. People are tired of being told what to think by the same old liberal voices. Candace and I are here to shake things up.”

Owens, never one to mince words, echoed Kelly’s sentiment. “I’ve been waiting for this opportunity,” she said. “For too long, conservatives have been silenced or drowned out in the mainstream media. We’re going to change that. If The View wants a rival, they’ve got one now.”

It’s clear that CBS is positioning the show as more than just a talk show—it’s a statement. And with two of the most prominent conservative women in media at the helm, The View will no longer dominate the conversation unopposed.

So what can viewers expect from Kelly and Owens’ new show? While details are still being kept under wraps, insiders say the format will include a mix of political debate, cultural commentary, interviews with high-profile guests, and segments that delve into issues often ignored by the mainstream media. In contrast to The View’s panel of rotating hosts, Kelly and Owens are expected to be the primary voices, though there may be guest hosts or contributors added to the mix.

The show will also tackle hot-button issues such as free speech, cancel culture, and the role of the media in shaping public opinion—topics that have become central to Owens’ brand. Kelly, known for her no-nonsense interviewing style, is expected to bring her journalistic rigor to the table, making for lively discussions that are sure to spark controversy and conversation.

“We’re going to talk about the things that matter to real people,” Kelly said. “Not the curated, sanitized conversations you see on other shows. We’re going to challenge the narratives, push back against the mainstream media, and give people a show that isn’t afraid to speak the truth.”

With Kelly and Owens at the helm, controversy seems all but guaranteed. Both women are no strangers to public backlash—Kelly for her comments about race and her controversial exit from NBC, and Owens for her divisive takes on issues like race, gender, and politics. But for CBS, that’s exactly the point. The network is banking on the pair’s ability to spark conversation, generate headlines, and attract a loyal—and likely passionate—viewership.

Of course, not everyone is thrilled about the new show. Critics of the duo have already taken to social media to voice their concerns, with some accusing CBS of pandering to far-right audiences. Others worry that the show will only deepen the political divide in America.

But for Kelly and Owens, the criticism is nothing new. “We’re not here to make everyone happy,” Owens said. “We’re here to speak the truth, whether people like it or not.”

Whether you love them or hate them, it’s clear that Megyn Kelly and Candace Owens are about to change the landscape of daytime television. With their $400 million deal and a platform as big as CBS behind them, they have the potential to create a show that challenges the dominance of The View and offers a new voice in a space long dominated by liberal perspectives.

Only time will tell if the gamble pays off for CBS—but one thing’s for sure: daytime TV just got a lot more interesting.

HOT NEWS: Mark Cuban’s Mavericks Lose $200 Million in Sponsorships Due to Elon Musk’s Call for a Boycott.

Mark Cuban’s Dallas Mavericks have suffered a major financial setback, losing an estimated $200 million in sponsorships following a recent call from Elon Musk to boycott the team. The announcement has sent shockwaves through the business and sporting worlds, and has highlighted the powerful influence of Musk’s social media reach and the immediate impact it can have on brand partnerships.

The controversy began when Musk, the billionaire CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, expressed his opposition to certain business practices and actions tied to the Mavericks. Without offering specifics, Musk’s tweet encouraged his millions of followers to withdraw their support for the team, and many of his loyal fans, who are also prominent investors, followed suit. As a result, some of the Mavericks’ biggest corporate sponsors decided to cut ties with the team, unwilling to risk their public image by continuing to be associated with an entity Musk had put in his crosshairs.

The financial ramifications of Musk’s call for a boycott have been swift and severe. Corporate sponsorships, which play a crucial role in the revenue model of professional sports teams, make up a substantial portion of the Mavericks’ revenue. Losing such a large portion of sponsorship deals, especially amid a competitive sports landscape, is a blow that could take years to recover from. It also raises questions about the degree to which high-profile public figures can influence the financial ecosystem of sports franchises.

Mark Cuban, known for his bold business decisions and outspoken personality, has yet to comment publicly on the situation. However, his team is certainly in crisis management mode as it attempts to salvage relationships with existing sponsors and rebuild its partnerships. The Mavericks’ future sponsorship prospects may now depend largely on how Cuban and his leadership team deal with the fallout from Musk’s intervention.

Musk’s boycott has sparked broader debates about the power of social media in determining the fortunes of companies and sports organizations. It also highlights the growing tension between influential tech moguls and sports franchises, where off-pitch alliances and rivalries can now have a tangible impact on the bottom line. For the Mavericks, it’s a stark reminder of how quickly fortunes can change in an increasingly connected world, where public figures wield the power to influence not just consumer opinion but corporate decisions.

As the Mavericks look to recover from this financial blow, many are wondering whether Musk’s boycott will set a precedent for future relationships between athletes and teams in the age of social media. The episode serves as a warning to the sports industry, which may need to reconsider how it handles its connections to the influential tech world going forward.

Bruce Springsteen and Robert De Niro have announced their decision to relocate to Canada, citing a “lack of respect” as the driving force behind their move.

Springsteen, renowned for celebrating American working-class values through his music, expressed disappointment, stating he no longer recognizes the country he once revered. Similarly, De Niro, a vocal critic of U.S. political divisions, condemned the erosion of truth and mutual respect in the nation.
