Lauren Sanchez was spotted ‘flirting’ with DiCaprio in 2021

Jeff Bezos has responded to the viral video of his fiancé meeting Leonardo DiCaprio.

The Amazon founder’s fiancé was once caught in 4K meeting the actor, and people went wild over it.

For those of you who never saw it (how did that happen?), the video was taken at a gala in Los Angeles back in 2021, which showed the former journalist seemingly fawning over the Oscar winner with Bezos, 61 today, (happy birthday!) right next to her.

She could be seen flashing a smile as she gazed up at DiCaprio.

Viewers on social media didn’t know how to act when they watched the clip, with many believing that she had her eyes set on him- even though they’re all close mates and DiCaprio had been dating his 24-year-old supermodel girlfriend Camila Morrone since 2017 at the time.

One person wrote: “She is clearly the one flirting. Leo looks uncomfortable. Get your girl in check.”

Another commented: “Bahahahahhahahaha. Leo likes his women young. So, Bezos has nothing to worry about. No one is gonna steal her bro.”

Someone else wrote: “Leo pointed his finger right in Bezos’ face. Not good. She was ready to rumble right there.”

Then, this month, the trio appeared to recreate the moment while standing outside together as Lauren Sanchez stared up at DiCaprio.

After the video (which more than 17.3 million people watched) made the circulation, Bezos joked that he planned to ‘off’ DiCaprio using a cliffside.

He responded to a video of the alleged flirting on X, formerly Twitter and fans went wild.

He posted a photo of himself standing next to a sign which read: “Danger! Steep Cliff. Fatal Drop.”

Then, in his caption he tagged the actor, writing: “Leo, come over here, I want to show you something.”

Of course, it’s all a bit of fun, and it’s not like the pair were actually flirting.

Commenters under Bezos’s post seemed to fully understand this was all light-hearted and played along with it in the comments.

A user replied: “Jeff, as someone who has lost many wives to handsome men, just remember: We are much wealthier and therefore, smarter than them.”

Another wrote: “the titanic didn’t get him, but uncle Jeff will.”

Someone else commented: “Now i think Leo’s packages will all arrive damaged from @amazon.”

In other news, did you know that Bezos used to have a different name?

It was discovered after his biological father realised that he was the dad of the billionaire.

Born Jeffrey Preston Jorgensen, Bezos’s mum, Jacklyn Gise and dad, Ted Jorgensen (a circus performer), divorced the year after he was born when he was 17 months old.

Then, in 1968, Gise went on to marry Mike Bezos and after asking Jorgensen to revoke his parental rights and allow the new husband to adopt Bezos.

At the time, he agreed as he thought it was ‘best’ for his son and the pair never reconnected again.

However, he realised that Bezos was his son after a journalist came to ask him questions about his son’s empire, and he admitted that he was proud of the life he had created for himself.

Pamela Anderson addresses current relationship with Tommy Lee almost 30 years after divorce

The Baywatch star revealed she isn’t on the best terms with her former husband at the minute

Pamela Anderson has opened up about where she stands with her ex-husband Tommy Lee these days.

At one point in time, the ridiculously cool pair were the pinnacle of rockstar relationships – although their love story was turbulent, to say the least.

There was so much drama between the duo that Hulu decided to make a series based on the couple’s chaotic romance in 2022, titled Pam & Tommy.

The show, which is available to stream on Disney+, delved into the details of the scandalous leak of their sex tape and their three-year marriage.

Anderson, 57, got hitched to the Mötley Crüe drummer in February 1995, just four days after they first met – but they ended up divorcing in 1998.

The Playboy pin-up previously spoke out about the demise of their relationship, referring to Lee as the ‘love of her life’.

“There was Tommy and then there was nobody else,” Anderson told People in 2015. “We had a wild and crazy beginning that was too much for both of us.

“I had beautiful children with him. My kids are grateful to be born out of true love. Everything else I was trying to piece together.”

But things are a lot different between the former couple these days, nearly three decades on from their divorce.

Anderson revealed that her and Lee – who she shares two sons, Brandon, 28, and Dylan, 27, with – aren’t on the best terms currently.

In a new interview with Andy Cohen on his SiriusXM show, the Baywatch star revealed there has been a lack of communication between them both.

And seen as though the pair are about to become grandparents for the first time, Anderson is hoping that their strained relationship will sort itself out soon.

Speaking of Lee, 62, she told the host: “We used to talk a lot more…not recently, unfortunately. But I wish we did have a better rapport right now.

“My youngest son is engaged and and we’re going to have grandkids together!”

But, ever the optimist, Anderson believes her and Lee will find their way back, as they have countless times before.

“It’ll be okay eventually,” the actress added. “It’s just kind of a moment right now.”

Elsewhere in the interview, Anderson discussed how proud she is of her and Lee’s two sons.

Discussing her eldest child, Brandon, she said: “He is such an amazing person…he’s the movie star! He loves business. He’s just a deal maker and he loves it.”

The 28-year-old followed in her footsteps and ventured into the entertainment industry, becoming an actor, model, and producer – who even had a role in the 2017 film Baywatch.

His younger brother Dylan embarked on a similar path, although he also inherited his dad’s musical genes.

“He’s a musician and also an entrepreneur,” Anderson gushed. “And they’re great.”

The star – who has taken a step back from Hollywood as well as ditching make-up in recent years – previously said that her boys had ‘saved her’.

“Brandon and Dylan are true miracles, considering their gene pool,” she wrote in her memoir Love, Pamela. “They have been through so much, yet they are not full of holes.

“They saved me. I don’t want to put that on my kids, but having children changed everything. I’ve loved every moment.”

The star believes the destruction of her Palisades home was foreseen

A TV host who had their house destroyed by the Los Angeles wildfires has shared a clip of a psychic ‘predicting’ fire just months before.

There are currently four blazes across the Californian area with others described as contained. At least 16 people have been killed so far with more missing and over 12,000 homes and other structures having been destroyed since Tuesday (7 January).

Ricki Lake is just one of the many stars and residents to have lost a property in the Palisades Fire which is currently spreading eastwards and triggering new evacuation orders.

The TV host revealed her Pacific Palisades home had been destroyed on Thursday and yesterday claimed it had been foreseen by a medium.

While theories circulate, officials say the possible causes of the wildfires are still be investigated by detectives as Los Angeles County Sheriff Robert Luna said: “Everything is absolutely on the table.”

Regardless of how it came about, Lake believes Tyler Henry predicted the loss of her home due to fire during an October 2024 episode of Live from The Other Side with Tyler Henry.

She wrote on Instagram: “The great @tylerhenrymedium called it! Less than three months ago, on Oct 15th, 2024 Ross and I were on Tyler’s show and guys, he SAW the fire.”

Lake then urged her followers to head to Netflix to watch the full episode with this ‘prediction’.

During the clip, Henry said: “If there was a loss of material objects from a fire and water, that’s the kind of weird distinction — it’s two separate things…

“So we’re going to end up finding there’s a story, where like, there was a house fire or something along those lines.”

Although, it does seem a little vague over just what he was seeing destroying Lake’s home as he added: “There’s just something about watching water seep into a place that it shouldn’t and damaging things.”

Lake looked visibly shook by Henry’s prediction in the clip as commenters say he truly ‘has a gift’ as they say they’re ‘sorry he was right’.

While some called it ‘unreal’, one did write: “I love Tyler but I don’t believe that’s what he was seeing. The California fires are a much bigger event, not just specific to Ricki. Plus he talked a lot about water being the main destructor which doesn’t fit.”

Either way, the LA wildfires are continuing to cause mass devastation and destruction across the area as more than 153,000 people are under evacuation orders in the county with 166,000 under evacuation warnings.

Private investigator issues 'major warning' about three things people do online that make them easy to be tracked

Are you guilty of making any of these mistakes?

A private investigator has issued a warning about the three things people do online that make it easy for them to be tracked.

The PI, named Cassie – who goes by @venusinvestigations on TikTok – has revealed just how easy it is to give away details about your life and location online.

And it’s pretty terrifying.

Stop adding unknown people to social media

First up, Cassie explains we absolutely have to stop adding people onto our social media profiles, who we don’t know IRL.

“Number one, stop accepting friend requests from people you don’t know,” she said.

“I get it, you’ve locked down your profile, you think you’re safe, but guess who can still see it? Anyone you’ve added over the years, whether you knew them or not.

“PIs have these fake accounts they use to research people, called sock puppets, go look at your list right now, if there’s anyone on there you don’t know, delete them.”

Don’t share your location online

Sharing our locations online is a huge no-no too, especially if we’re still at the place we’re posting from.

“Stop posting from a venue while you’re still there. Celebs know this one really well, if you post from the venue, while you’re having your entrée, I’ll be there following you before the bill comes,” she added.

Don’t post your ‘sold’ sign

Cassie pointed out that she’s recently noticed people sharing images of ‘sold’ signs outside their new homes, that they’ve recently bought.

But what they don’t realise is by doing this, they’re making themselves – and their addresses – easy to track.

“Stop posting those sold signs when you’ve bought a house,” she said.

“Yes, you’ve blurred out the address but all I need is the real estate agent’s details, I can work out what suburbs they cover, I know approximately when you bought the place from when you posted on Insta… I just look out for the cute red door or the pretty tree… bam, I’ve got your address.”

People were quick to comment on the video, with many agreeing.

One person wrote: “I’m not even a pi and the sold sign is so real. It’s so easy to.”

While another said: “The real estate one is way to easy. Can’t believe how many people do this.”

And a third added: “I never post whilst at a venue and only post my vacations after I’ve returned.”

Meanwhile a fourth admitted to using one of the techniques before, writing: “I found out my ex’s address by doing this exactly. We are about to spend over $1.5M on a property and I didn’t want to end up living anywhere near him. It was incredibly easy even without the address.”

Underwear brand explained true reason why men’s boxers have a hole in front of them

Underwear brand explained true reason why men’s boxers have a hole in front of them

You’ll never use your underwear the same way again

Ever put on your pair of boxers and wondered what the little gap in the front is for?

Even though I don’t have much experience with that type of underwear, half of the population use them daily.

So, it’s only natural to wonder what on Earth the gap is for.

Perhaps it’s a lipstick holder for your girlfriend, or a ventilation tactic the manufacturer created?

OK, so it’s neither of those things, but it does spark curiosity.

There's a reason for the gap in your boxers (Getty Stock Image/Fadyukhin)

There’s a reason for the gap in your boxers (Getty Stock Image/Fadyukhin)

As it turns out, the question is regularly asked on Google, Reddit and Quora – and many people are perplexed and curious about the origin of the little gap in the front.

While you might prefer to wear the tighty whities that have no holes in the front, a lot of brands continue to create them, so there must be a reason as to why it’s there.

So, does it serve a purpose or is it purely a stylistic decision?

Well, wonder no longer, as underwear brand Sheath has given us the answer: “The hole in your boxers is also called a fly.

“You’re free to call them whatever name you want, but the functional term is still fly.”

Fair enough. And what’s the point?

Well, according to Sheath: “The purpose of the fly is to make it easier for you to pee while wearing boxers.”

Despite this, the brand also states that 80 percent of men actually never use the hole in their underwear to pee.

Pulling them down is generally a whole lot easier.

In fact, some blokes on Reddit consider the hole a useless addition. One wrote: “Who actually uses it though? It seems so inconvenient.

“I hardly even undo my pants anymore, I just push em down and whip it out. Saves a lot of time when I have to wear a belt.”

Sheath’s website states: “Today’s modern underwear is nothing like what men wore even a few decades ago.

It's to pee (Getty Stock Image/Chris Collins)

It’s to pee (Getty Stock Image/Chris Collins)

“The actual pouch where the fly is located has also been changing drastically.

“In the past, this area used to be flat. This design does not give the man a natural way for his penis to be contoured. Thankfully, men today have a better option.

“New boxer briefs and men’s briefs have a design that actually has a roomier pouch.

“This new pouch design gives the man more definition, comfort, support, and freedom.”

So there you go – probably more information about boxers than you’ll ever need.

There are approximately two million people in England living with it in their homes

Now that the snow finally looks like it’s heading out, there might be another winter-related issue that needs addressing.

I don’t think many of us are enjoying the cold weather at the moment, as the UK has faced -10C in some places over the past week. With flu cases also on the rise, I think we’re all looking forward to seeing the back of January.

But during these winter months, the issue of household mould is something that should be looked at.

Mould can be dangerous if not treated (Getty Stock Images)

What is mould?

Mould is often fuzzy with black, white, or green patches, and comes with a musty smell.

There are approximately two million people in England living with it in their homes, and it can quickly exacerbate in the cold weather.

Respiratory illnesses, allergies, and asthma are just some of the symptoms that can arise, but in more serious cases, mould in homes can lead to death.

Because the microscopic fungus grows in damp places, it releases dangerous spores into the atmosphere.

How to deal with mould

Try taking shorter showers and ensuring your bathroom extractor fan is switched on during and after your shower to stop the steam from your shower turning into condensation.

It’s also recommended that you open your windows when cooking or drying washing indoors, as this can help let the moisture in the air escape, recommends the NHS.

If cooking, make sure your hob’s extractor fan is on a high setting and wipe down surfaces to stop moisture from pooling on windowsills and walls.

Also don’t forget to check for leaky pipes or gutters that can make problems worse.

You may need to get a professional to remove mould for you, but if it’s only a small amount, you may be able to remove it yourself.

Just remember to wear gloves and a face mask if you’re removing mould.

What types of mould are there?

It's a nightmare to have in your home (Getty stock photo)

It’s a nightmare to have in your home (Getty stock photo)

Black mould can trigger asthma attacks and cause allergic reactions such as skin rashes, a runny nose, and red eyes. Those with compromised immune systems, such as babies and the elderly, are more at risk to the symptoms.

The most common cause of mould in UK homes is condensation; often found in spaces of the home where there’s high moisture levels like bathrooms, kitchens and on and around windows.

If condensation is left to sit, the surface can become damp and create the breeding conditions needed for mould to grow.

Daily tasks such as cooking and drying washing indoors can also exacerbate the problem.

Edison International is under investigation over a possible link to one of the wildfires destroying LA

A billion dollar energy company is currently under investigation over possible link to one of the LA wildfires.

Southern California Edison, a subsidiary of energy giant Edison International, has admitted that its grid experienced a short circuit issue on Tuesday (7 January) evening.

This coincided with when the Hurst Fire broke out. Yet it remains unclear if the incident happened before or after the fire started.

The Hurst Fire has, so far, burned through 800 acres of land, with the company revealing that the conductor was found at the Eagle Rock Sylmar 220 kV circuit.

“On 10 January 10, Southern California Edison (SCE) filed an Electric Safety Incident Report (ESIR) related to the Hurst Fire once SCE learned fire agencies are investigating whether SCE equipment was involved in the ignition, which is a triggering event for reporting.” Edison International said in a press release.

“SCE noted that the fire was reported at approximately 10:10pm on 7 January, and preliminary information reflects the Eagle Rock – Sylmar 220 kV circuit experienced a relay at 10:11pm.

“A downed powerline was discovered at a tower associated with the Eagle Rock – Sylmar 220 kV circuit.

“SCE does not know whether the damage observed occurred before or after the start of the fire.”

In regard to the Eaton fire, Edison said SCE conducted analysis of the equipment in the area and found ‘no interruptions or operational/electrical anomalies in the 12 hours prior to the fire’s reported start time until more than one hour after the reported start time of the fire’.

Having taken a dip in the stock market, the company has announced that they will be providing a financial contribution of $1 million (£820,000) ‘to community-based organisations to support relief efforts and assist those affected by the wildfires’.

“We are proud to support nonprofits that provide critical services to our customers and employees, and we are grateful for the contributions from other Southern California companies who have stepped up to support our communities during this difficult time,” said Pedro J. Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International.

“Their collective efforts demonstrate the strength and resilience of our region, and we are honored to stand alongside them in providing aid and support to those in need.”

Since 7 January, the SCE said they have restored power of more than 500,000 customers, while 62,662 customers are still without power as of 5:30 am on 12 January.

“Severe equipment damage and access restrictions in areas impacted by wildfire may lead to restoration times taking longer than usual, from several days to, in some instances, weeks.” they added.

“Thousands of SCE employees and contractors are working alongside mutual assistance crews 24/7 to restore power.”

“We greatly appreciate the dedicated efforts of SCE’s employees and the mutual assistance colleagues who are working around the clock to support our communities during this challenging time,” said Steven D. Powell, president and CEO of SCE.

“Their unwavering commitment and hard work are truly commendable.”

The death toll from the LA wildfires, which is expected to go up, has so far risen to 24, with the Los Angeles County coroner’s office noting that eight of the deaths were attributed to the Palisades fire and 16 resulted from the Eaton fire.

Common symptoms of ‘brutal illness’ sweeping UK as NHS issues guidance of what to do if you have it

It feels like everyone’s off work with something at the moment

The sounds of sniffles and coughs echo round the office as your work bestie leaves you to do it alone because they’ve got one brutal illness or another.

And one of those things causing the string of sick days in bed is the usual culprit of norovirus as it sweeps the UK.

Findings reported by gov.uk show that the reported cases are thankfully getting a little lower over recent weeks, but in general has been hitting huge highs compared to the five-season average.

So, it’s worth keeping yourself aware of the symptoms and what the NHS say to do if you’re unlucky enough to be wiped out by it this winter.

It can absolutely wipe you out (Getty Stock)

Norovirus symptoms

Also called the ‘winter vomiting bug’, it’s essentially a stomach bug that causes vomiting and diarrhoea. Nice.

As listed by the NHS, the main symptoms of norovirus are experiencing nausea, having diarrhoea and being sick.

You might also get a high temperature, have a headache and experience aching arms and legs. Norovirus symptoms tend to come on suddenly within one to two days of being infected.

How norovirus spreads

Unfortunately, this brutal winter illness spreads pretty easily.

It can be caught from having close contact with someone who has it, touching surfaces or objects that have the virus on them and then touching your mouth or by eating food that’s been prepared or handled by someone with the illness.

You can stop the spreading by washing your hands frequently soap and water. However, alcohol hand gels cannot kill norovirus.

NHS guidance

Thankfully, you can usually treat norovirus at home and it tends to just go away by itself in around two days.

The NHS heavily encourages getting plenty of rest and to make sure you have lots of fluids to avoid becoming dehydrated.

Painkillers can also help to ease aches and pains, while it’s also advised to stick to plain foods and not eat too much at once in order to avoid upsetting your stomach.

Plus, you really shouldn’t try and tough it out and head to work or school as your peers certainly won’t thank you. Instead, the NHS say to stay off until you have not been sick or had diarrhoea for at least two days as this is when you’re most infectious.

And on that note, you shouldn’t visit hospitals or care homes during that time.

If your symptoms persist, get advice from 111.

Mike Black embarked on the ‘Million Dollar Comeback’ journey back in 2020

A man who went viral after making himself homeless during the Coronavirus pandemic has explained why he did it.

During Covid-19, people around the world were faced with terrifying uncertainty as the world around them shut down indefinitely. Aware that people around him were now struggling, businessman and YouTuber Mike Black decided to see if he would be able to rebuild his life from zero.

Embarking on a journey called ‘Million Dollar Comeback’, Black drained his bank account to zero, put his business on hold, and left his home to see whether or not he could make $1,000,000 (£802k) within a year – beginning with just a mobile phone and the clothes he was wearing.

“I wanted to do this to help people,” he later said of the project. “That was the goal of the entire project, not just tell people ‘here’s what I would do if I was starting over’, f**king do it. Show people with action.”

So, what happened?

Black’s project ended after just 10 months, with the business owner forced to cut his journey short after experiencing health issues. However, he was able to make around $64,000 (£52.7k) during the process after flipping furniture on Craigslist, reinvesting the money to get a laptop and securing various marketing gigs before making an e-commerce business of his own.

The business owner would also suffer numerous setbacks during the 10 months, including the devastating news that his father had been diagnosed with stage four cancer.

Why did Mike Black do the ‘Million Dollar Comeback’ challenge?

Black’s project would later resurface on the internet in 2024, after a thread claiming his experiment was to prove ‘anyone can make $1M in 12 months with just a phone’ went viral across social media.

Naturally Black went on to receive backlash online as his challenge reached more and more people, with many branding his actions insensitive to the challenges that homeless people face on a day-to-day basis.

The backlash led Black to make a follow-up video explaining why he decided to do the project and clarifying that it wasn’t a social experiment to see if anyone could go from being homeless to a millionaire.

“It had nothing to do with homelessness,” he said in the video, explaining that he wanted to prove it was possible for people to reinvent themselves.

Responding specifically to the comments that claimed that he’d said anyone could go from being homeless to a millionaire in a year, he added: “None of this is true. If you go through my content I don’t say things like ‘anyone can make a million dollars’… especially in 12 months. There’s a lot of inaccuracies here.”

You can catch Black’s full journey on his YouTube channel now.

How much it costs to charge a Tesla in the UK as driver shocks people with first 12 month bill

Roughly four percent of all cars on UK roads are electric

The cost of charging a Tesla in the UK has been revealed after a driver shocks people by showing their first 12 month bill.

At the end of last year, there were over 1.3 million electric vehicles (EV) on the roads, as more and more Brits make the switch.

And Tesla was the top ranking EV brand in the UK with the majority of the market share.

While car purists are against the idea of driving something that sounds like a nose trimmer, it seems we’re all going to have to move over eventually.

Over in the US, one Tesla owner took to X to share their surprisingly low electricity bill, which could explain why so many are getting themselves an EV.

“First time I’ve had a bill within the last 12 months. This sucks,” user @Tesla_GTownTX wrote, alongside a screenshot of a $2.37 (£1.89) bill.

Image

The EV owner said they managed to keep their bill low with the help of a Tesla Powerwall – costing between £5,000 to £10,000, which does sound a little counterproductive.

It’s basically a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that stores energy from solar or from the electricity grid.

“Powerwall gives you the ability to store energy for later use and works with solar to provide key energy security and financial benefits,” say Tesla.

“Each Powerwall system is equipped with energy monitoring, metering and smart controls for owner customisation using the Tesla app.”

Replying to the tweet, one person said: “How much did you pay for the solar panels and wall battery?”

While another added: “Post your statement for your power wall/solar panel payments.”

Vanarama, an AutoTrader company, have thankfully worked out how much it costs in the UK to charge a Tesla.

How much does it cost to charge a Tesla at home?

The cheapest way to charge your Tesla is by plugging your charger into a normal socket within and schedule it so the car charges between 12am and 5pm.

Energy providers like Octopus give very affordable rates at that time of night.

“£0.075 per kWh with octopus over night (or when they schedule smart charging based on when you tell them you want the car),” one person explained on Reddit.

“You can see supercharger rates on the app and they adjust according to time of day, it’s £0.36 now and was £0.45 at peak at my local.

“The Model 3 SR+ as an example has a 50kWh battery, so that’d be £3.75 for a full charge at home on the smart rate, but obviously you’d not be doing that in one go in practice.”

Model 3 Standard Range: £20.40 Per Home Charge

60 (battery size in kWh) x 0.34 (cost in pence per kW) = £20.40

Model 3 Long Range & Performance: £27.88 Per Home Charge

Model Y Standard Range: £20.40 Per Home Charge
