A Thai influencer has sadly passed away after accepting a challenge for $875.

Thanakarn Kanthee, known on social media as ‘Bank Leicester,’ was only 21 when he collapsed and died on December 25 in Chanthaburi’s Tha Mai district, Thailand, as reported by the Bangkok Post.

The Bangkok native was reportedly hired to attend a birthday celebration, where he was paid to consume bottles of whiskey for money.

The Nation Thailand revealed Kanthee was compensated 30,000 baht for consuming two 350ml bottles as part of the challenge, equivalent to roughly $875.

Unfortunately, soon after completing the task, he seemed unwell.

After vomiting and losing consciousness, he was transported to Songpeenong Hospital, where he was declared deceased at 3.40am on December 26, just hours after reaching the event.

According to Thai Enquirer on Facebook, Thanakarn’s death has been listed as acute heart failure, though autopsy results have yet to ascertain if alcohol played a role or if there were other underlying health concerns.

Before this unfortunate incident, the influencer was a student at the Ritthiyawannalai School and was involved in selling garlands.

He initially gained fame on Facebook through his rap songs designed to attract buyers.

It is suggested that Thanakarn engaged in similar risky challenges to financially support his family and grandmother, as another video has emerged showing him consuming hand sanitizer.

A post on his Facebook page stated: “I am willing to be bullied and insulted to just get scraps of money from the rich people in order to provide for my family.”

A different Facebook post, made days prior to his death, read: “Nowadays, I don’t care who hates me, who doesn’t like me, I just ignore it and let it go because these days, I only care about the people around me.”

“If they don’t like me, that’s their problem, not my problem. My duty is to earn money and find happiness for myself, that’s enough.”

On Saturday, police officers arrested two other social media influencers, Ekachart “Em” Meephrom from Chanthaburi province and Theerawat Srirot from Pathum, in connection with Thanakarn’s death, as reported by The Independent.

If it is determined that the victim was paid to drink a lethal amount, those responsible could be charged under Section 291 of the Penal Code for causing death through negligence.

Those found guilty of this crime may face up to 10 years in prison and a fine of up to 20,000 baht ($580), or both.

Since this tragedy, tributes have poured in on his Facebook page, with friends remembering him as a ‘very good person’ who brought ‘smiles to everyone’.

Queen Camilla’s emotional state during a royal tour, which sparked comments of concern from netizens, happened during a colorful traditional ceremony.

The King and Queen of England recently bid farewell to Samoa after their four-day state visit to the island country. During their final day, King Charles III and a teary-eyed Queen Camilla were honored in a heartfelt farewell ceremony that captured the vibrant spirit of Samoan culture.

Rain poured down heavily as the couple arrived for the event. Shielded under umbrellas, King Charles III and Queen Camilla made their way along a damp red carpet to a stage that was decorated with colorful woven mats and fresh floral garlands.

During the farewell, the royals observed an “ava ceremony,” which is an ancient rite involving the preparation of a drink from the ava plant. In a solemn moment, the specially prepared concoction was presented to King Charles III in a polished coconut shell, which the senior royal graciously accepted and sipped from.

Amid these cultural exchanges, villagers braved the rain, performing for the royals in a series of dances and presentations.

One highlight of the farewell was a dynamic war dance demonstration, where dancers wielded flaming sticks — a sight that left the royals both captivated and amused.

He also noted his admiration for the locals who had gone out of their way to welcome them by decorating roadsides and leaving gifts at their hotel daily.

In another touching moment, a Samoan chief addressed the King directly and acknowledged the royal family’s legacy in Samoa by saying, “Your Papa Prince Philip was here, so were your brothers. So thank you for making the time. Your royal visit has lifted our house.”

According to reports, the heartfelt farewell also involved the exchange of gifts, which included a special embroidered mat and fly whisks.

When it was time to leave, the couple made their way to the Faleolo VIP Terminal in a motorcade, where they briefly greeted the Deputy Prime Minister of Samoa, the Minister of Environment, and the Police Commissioner.

Throughout their visit to Samoa, Queen Camilla and King Charles III experienced a warm and culturally rich itinerary, packed with events that highlighted the island’s traditions and natural beauty.

One of the notable affairs, aside from the farewell ceremony, was the royal dinner hosted for Commonwealth Heads of Government at the Robert Louis Stevenson Museum.

This exclusive gathering saw the involvement of both Samoan and British teams. Chefs, artisans, and officials collaborated to create a memorable evening in the gardens of the museum, which is dedicated to the famous late “Treasure Island” author.

Earlier in their stay, King Charles III demonstrated his dedication to environmental conservation by planting a tree in a new garden designed in his honor.

The tree, which is part of the island’s “Talafalu for Pepe a’e” scheme, was specifically chosen to help support the endangered Samoan swallowtail butterfly.

Reportedly, King Charles III asked local staff to monitor the tree’s growth and requested regular updates and photographs to witness it flourish under Samoa’s tropical climate.

Eerie messages Cybertruck bomber sent to ex-girlfriend days before detonating vehicle

The ex-girlfriend of the individual who caused an explosion with a Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas has revealed the text messages she received from him in the days leading up to the incident.

Authorities identified the man as 37-year-old Matthew Livelsberger, a decorated Army soldier from Colorado Springs. He was on approved leave when he traveled to the Trump hotel.

On January 1, Livelsberger shot himself just before the Tesla vehicle exploded, leading to minor injuries for seven people.

Clark County Sheriff Kevin McMahill suggested that the explosion was aimed at causing more harm to the hotel, but the building remained largely unaffected because the steel-sided truck caused the blast to vent ‘out and up’.

The explosive was described as ‘crudely built’. Kenny Cooper, a special agent in charge for the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, remarked: “The level of sophistication is not what we would expect from an individual with this type of military experience.”

In the days preceding the explosion, Livelsberger communicated via text with his ex-girlfriend, Alicia Arritt, a former Army nurse. Arritt later spoke to The Denver Gazette about their exchanges.

On December 29, at 9am, Livelsberger texted Arritt from Denver, saying: “I rented a Tesla Cybertruck. It’s the s***.”

The exchange was light-hearted, without any hint of what was to come. Livelsberger added: “I feel like Batman or halo.”

He continued texting Arritt until New Year’s Eve, sharing photos and videos of the vehicle.

Though Arritt was pleased to hear from him, she found it odd given their difficult breakup in 2021.

Livelsberger updated her on his life, saying: “I’m building drones in my new position. You would love it.”

Arritt inquired about the Cybertruck, particularly its speed.

Livelsberger responded: “Ungodly.”

As the investigation into the explosion continues, Arritt told The Denver Gazette that Livelsberger was ‘the kindest man’ she’d ever known.

“He got me through a difficult time,” she recalled, mentioning how Livelsberger had also bought a house for his mother when she fell ill.

She noted a change in his behavior towards isolation in 2019, after returning from the Middle East with a traumatic brain injury. Yet, she described Livelsberger as a patriotic man, which leaves her puzzled over the events on New Year’s Day.

At the time of his death, Livelsberger was married and had recently become a father.

Airline Passenger Furious After Being ‘Moved from Seat’ Due to Dog

An airline traveler was shocked when they were reportedly asked to give up their seat to make room for a dog.

The unhappy passenger shared their experience on Reddit, expressing frustration with the situation they encountered. They claimed that a service dog was ‘too large to fit on the floor’ and therefore was permitted to occupy their seat during a United Airlines flight from San Diego to Denver.

“I boarded a flight from SAN to DEN and an enormous ‘service’ dog was sitting on my seat,” the passenger stated.

“He was way too big to fit on the floor. The flight attendant was a few rows away and when asked if she saw the dog, she just shrugged.

“My husband and I tried to resolve it with the passenger but there was no way that dog could fit under his legs in his window seat. Since we were told that it was a completely full flight, and the dog was taking my seat, I thought I was going to get bumped off the flight by this dog.”

The passenger recounted that eventually a flight attendant managed to find them another seat, while the dog remained on their original seat, which they found ‘absurd’.

“A United staff member came onboard and spoke to the passenger but the dog remained,” they added.

“Finally, somehow they located another seat for me. The dog stayed on my seat for the whole flight. Totally absurd that an oversized dog can displace a paying passenger from their seat. United needs to crack down on passengers abusing the ‘service’ animal allowance.”

“How can someone be allowed onboard with a dog that big without buying an extra seat?

“United’s policy is that service dogs ‘can’t be in the aisle or the floor space of the travelers next to you’. Also it is nasty to have a dog outside of a carrier sitting on passengers’ seats with his butt on the armrests.

“The gate agents carefully check the size my carry-on, but apparently they don’t monitor the size of people’s ‘service’ dogs! WTH?!”

The incident sparked a lot of debate, with many people sharing their views in the comments.

One person remarked: “Service dogs are required to sit on the floor at the passenger’s feet. Not on a seat. This is for the animal’s safety since it can’t wear a proper seatbelt.”

Another individual commented: “As a disability lawyer, you need to start making mass complaints to the airline. They know that an SD has to be either: in the floor space and or under the seat in front of its handler, or the handler has to purchase a second seat. If the dog encroaches on another passenger’s foot space (or seat), the handler has to buy a second seat, and the dog can be IN the FOOT space of the their seat, and the 2nd seat. A non-lap dog can NOT be in the seat for takeoff & landing.”

A third commenter noted that the dog ‘should have been removed from the seat’ regardless of whether the passenger was relocated or not.

According to the United Airlines website: “Your dog should sit in the floor space in front of your seat. They can’t be in the aisle or the floor space of the travelers next to you.”

Terrifying simulation shows how an electric chair actually works

YouTuber Zack D Films has shared a simulation breaking down how the electric chair works as an execution method

A YouTube video has offered an insight into how the electric chair actually works.

You hope you’d never have to choose which execution method to die by, but in some cases, this decision has become a reality.

And a video has broken down what really happens to people who end up being executed by the method of the electric chair.

The electric chair execution method

The first electric chair was built in 1888 in New York, it being seen as a more humane method of execution when compared to hanging.

Since 1976, 163 executions have taken place using the electric chair method, Death Penalty Information reports.

The electric chair is authorized as an execution method by more than a handful of states, however, it’s viewed as a ‘cruel and unusual punishment’ by others, who’ve ruled it as violating their state constitutional prohibitions.

But how does it work?

You may've heard of the electric chair, but do you know how it actually works? ( Mike Simons/Getty Images)

You may’ve heard of the electric chair, but do you know how it actually works? ( Mike Simons/Getty Images)

How the electric chair works

Zack D Films is back at it again and this time the YouTuber isn’t sharing a simulation revealing how a woman was swallowed whole by a python or how shrunken heads are made.

Instead, the animator has revealed an educational insight into what it’s really like to die by the electric chair method.

The video explains: “If you’re strapped into an electric chair, saline soaked sponges are placed underneath electrodes all over your skin.

“Once the chair is activated, a powerful electric current flows through the electrodes and the sponges help focus this energy, ensuring that the current quickly passes through your body.

“Inside your body this powerful current causes an electrical surge, making your muscles contract violently and this makes your heart beat erratically until it finally stops altogether.”

And Death Penalty Info breaks this down even further.

It adds that, prior to the sponges and electrodes being placed on, the person being executed is ‘usually shaved’ and ‘strapped to a chair with belts that cross his chest, groin, legs, and arms’.

And why the sponges have to be moistened?

“A metal skullcap-shaped electrode is attached to the scalp and forehead over a sponge moistened with saline,” it continues.

“The sponge must not be too wet or the saline short-circuits the electric current, and not too dry, as it would then have a very high resistance. An additional electrode is moistened with conductive jelly (Electro-Creme) and attached to a portion of the prisoner’s leg that has been shaved to reduce resistance to electricity.”

The person is then typically ‘blindfolded’ and the team conducting the execution go back to an observation room to pull the handle and connect the power supply.

An electric current measuring ‘between 500 and 2000 volts’ is turned on for ‘about 30 seconds’ and the power is then turned off, the body ‘seen to relax,’ and doctors check to see if the person’s heart is still beating after a ‘few seconds’ of waiting for the ‘body to cool down’.

If the heart is still beating, the process is repeated until the prisoner is dead.

And after? Well, it notes: “The prisoner’s hands often grip the chair and there may be violent movement of the limbs which can result in dislocation or fractures. The tissues swell. Defecation occurs.”

Woman attempts popular music hack to combat insomnia and finds success in 45 minutes

A woman decided to experiment with a trending music technique claiming it helps alleviate insomnia, and she experienced positive effects in just 45 minutes.

With the arrival of the New Year, numerous viral trends are sweeping through social media, including ‘microretirement’ which is rapidly gaining popularity on TikTok.

Another trend that’s gaining attention online focuses on health and is purported to aid individuals struggling with insomnia, anxiety, and similar issues.

Tahira Ali shared her personal experience in the Daily Mirror, illustrating how a viral music technique has proven effective in tackling persistent insomnia.

She stated: “I’ve just moved to London and am feeling jangled by the busy pace of life. I’ve also suffered from insomnia for three years so when London fitness chain, Gymbox, started offering a binaural beats relaxation class, I jumped at the chance to try it. When it starts, however, I’m anything but relaxed.”

As she settled in and attempted to get comfortable, Tahira detailed her anticipation for the ‘effects of this neuroscience-approved brand of electronic music’ to manifest.

But what exactly makes this type of music conducive to falling asleep at night?

Neurologist Dr. Faye Beget explained to the Daily Express: “Binaural beats are an auditory phenomenon that occurs when two tones of slightly different frequencies are played in each ear.

“When each ear hears tones of different frequencies, the brain perceives the difference between the two frequencies as a third sound. For example, if a 300Hz tone is played in one ear and a 310Hz tone in the other, the brain perceives a 10Hz beat.”

Initially skeptical, Tahira experienced noticeable changes within just 45 minutes.

“My thoughts, while not silenced completely, are far quieter and I have a feeling of gratitude that wasn’t with me before,” she wrote.

Tahira reflected on feeling ‘more grounded’ after engaging with binaural beats at the gym, and the effects had left her feeling ‘more awake’.

She mentioned: “The buzzing tiredness of a morning headache has faded. I feel more present and positive: I was more generous when asked to give to charity, I helped two groups of tourists navigate the Tube, I bought casual gifts for my family. The most surprising result was that night when, for the first time in a long time, I had a solid eight hours of sleep.”

Would this new trend be something you’d consider trying?

Our Dad Asked the Whole Family to Buy Mom Kitchen Utensils for Christmas as She’s a ‘Horrible Cook’ — We Decided to Outplay Him

When my brother and I overheard Dad calling Mom “lazy” and mocking her cooking, we knew we couldn’t let it slide. What started as a Christmas gift list turned into a clever plot to teach him a lesson he’d never forget.

I never thought I’d say this, but my family’s Christmas this year felt straight out of a sitcom, except, you know, the kind that makes you grind your teeth first.

My name’s Stella, I’m fourteen, and my life’s a mix of biology homework, arguing with my sixteen-year-old brother Seth, and trying to keep my sneakers white in a house that’s spotless only because Mom makes sure of it.

My mom is the glue holding us together. She works full-time, does all the laundry and house-cleaning, and still finds the energy to help Seth with his physics projects that, let’s face it, are basically black holes with glitter glue.

Dad, on the other hand, considers himself the “man of the house,” which is just a fancy title for doing nothing and watching old action movies. I’m not saying I don’t love him—I do—but he’s a “feet-up, channel-surfing, and passing-commentary-on-everything” kind of guy.

But then Christmas happened, and now Seth and I can’t forget what we heard.

It was two weeks before Christmas, and Seth and I were sneaking through the hallway looking for Mom’s stash of wrapped presents.

Instead, we caught Dad on the phone with his brother, Uncle Nick. His voice was loud enough to carry through the closed door.

“What to get, Lily?” Dad said, laughing like he was sharing a joke. “Bro, only kitchen stuff. Mixers, blenders, utensils—you know, stuff that’ll make her actually useful in the kitchen. She’s soooo lazy in there.”

I felt my stomach twist. Lazy? Was he kidding? Mom barely sits down. Seth shot me a glance, his jaw clenched. He whispered, “Dad can’t be serious.”

But Dad wasn’t done. “I’m just saying, if she had better gadgets, maybe she wouldn’t be such a horrible cook. It’s not like she’s great at it anyway.”

It felt like the world had tilted sideways. Seth and I weren’t the type to agree on much, but in that moment, we didn’t need words. We had a plan before we even left the hallway.

On Christmas morning, the living room smelled like pine and cookies. Mom had been up since dawn baking, her hair tied in that messy bun she swore was “practical” but always looked perfect.

She kept refilling the coffee pot and handing out mugs while Dad lounged by the fire, sipping his hot chocolate like he hadn’t just insulted her existence two weeks ago.

The whole family of 12—grandparents, cousins, aunts, uncles—sat in a circle by the tree. Seth and I perched on the couch, biting our lips to keep from grinning too early. One by one, the gifts were unwrapped. The usual stuff: socks, gift cards, and ugly sweaters that no one wanted but everyone pretended to love.

Then it was Dad’s turn.

Aunt Patricia handed him the first box. “This one’s from me, Tanner,” she said with a sweet smile.

Dad tore off the paper and blinked. “Oh. A fishing rod. Nice.”

“It’s not just nice—it’s top of the line,” Aunt Patricia said, grinning widely “Thought you’d love it.”

Dad chuckled awkwardly. “Yeah… I do. Thanks.”

But then Seth passed him another box. “Here, Dad. From me.”

Another fishing rod. Dad frowned but forced a smile. “Uh… thanks, son. Really thoughtful.”

I handed him mine next. “Merry Christmas, Dad!” I chirped, sounding as innocent as possible.

He unwrapped it slowly, probably hoping for a wallet or something practical.

His face fell. “Another one?” He laughed nervously. “Wow. Three is a charm, huh?”

Uncle Nick was next, followed by Aunt Claire and even Grandpa. Each gift was the same: a fishing rod. By the time the fifth one was opened, Dad’s smile had turned into a twitching scowl.

“Wait a minute,” he said, his voice rising. “What the hell is this? Fishing rods? Who needs this many fishing rods?”

Meanwhile, Mom’s laughter echoed through the living room as she unwrapped the beautifully wrapped designer purse. Seth and I watched as her face lit up, glowing as brightly as the Christmas lights strung around the room.

“Oh my gosh, this purse is beautiful! How did you all know I wanted it?” she asked, running her fingers over the smooth leather.

Uncle Nick grinned from his spot near the fireplace. “We had help. The kids sent us a wishlist.”

Mom’s eyes widened, and for a moment, she looked like she might cry. “You two did this?” she whispered, glancing between me and Seth.

We nodded in unison, trying to keep our cool. Seth shrugged, but his grin gave him away. “You deserve it, Mom.”

Her voice broke a little. “Thank you. Both of you. This is the best Christmas I’ve had in years.”

I won’t lie, hearing her say that made every second of planning worth it.

Rewind to two weeks ago. Seth and I were furious after overhearing Dad call Mom “lazy” and a “horrible cook.” It was like a switch flipped inside us. That night, we stayed up in Seth’s room, sketching out what we called “Operation Outplay.”

“Okay,” I said, pacing his cluttered room. “First, we need to stop this kitchen gadget nonsense. Mom doesn’t even like cooking; she does it because she has to.”

Seth leaned back in his chair, arms crossed. “And then we make Dad eat his words. Literally, if we can.”

I smirked. “Let’s start with an email.”

Together, we drafted a message to every family member who had planned to join us for Christmas. The email was simple but clear:

“Hi, this is Stella and Seth. We need your help to make this Christmas special for Mom. Dad asked you to get her kitchen stuff, but we think she deserves better. Here’s a wishlist of gifts she’ll actually love and cherish…”

We listed things Mom had quietly admired but never bought for herself: that designer bag she had been longing to buy for as long as we could remember, a spa day gift card, her favorite skincare products, a personalized necklace with our names engraved, and the cozy reading chair she’d been eyeing for her tiny library.

We added one final touch. “Instead of getting Dad what he asked for, please buy him fishing rods. As many as possible. Trust us—it’s part of the plan.”

The responses rolled in almost immediately. Aunt Patricia wrote back, “Count me in! Lily works so hard, and I’m happy to help.” Grandpa added, “Fishing rod it is. This will be fun!” By the end of the week, every family member was on board.

***

Fast forward to Christmas morning. After Dad’s meltdown over the mountain of fishing rods, Mom’s gifts kept coming. The personalized necklace brought tears to her eyes. “It’s beautiful,” she said, clutching it to her chest. “Thank you, everyone.”

Seth handed her the next box, a spa day gift card. “You need a break, Mom. Go get pampered for once.”

She laughed through her tears. “You two are amazing.”

Meanwhile, Dad was fuming in his armchair, surrounded by his growing pile of fishing rods. His face was a blend of confusion and annoyance. “Will someone please tell me what this nonsense is? Fishing rods? Like, seriously? I don’t even fish!”

Uncle Nick leaned forward, grinning. “We thought you’d want to start, dear brother. You know, since Lily puts so much effort into cooking for you.”

That was the spark that lit the fire.

“This is ridiculous!” Dad snapped, his voice rising. “Where’s all the stuff I told you to get for Lily? The kitchen gadgets? She needs those!”

Mom froze, her smile fading. “You told everyone to get me kitchen stuff?” she asked, her tone sharp.

Seth crossed his arms. “Yeah, Dad said you were ‘lazy in the kitchen’ and needed gadgets to cook faster. We figured you deserved better.”

Dad’s face turned a deep shade of red. “You two—! That’s not what I meant!”

“Oh really, Dad?” Seth shot back. “Because it sure sounded like that when you were whining to Uncle Nick about how Mom’s ‘too tired to cook for you.'”

The room went silent. All eyes were on Dad.

Mom’s voice trembled, but it wasn’t from sadness, it was anger. “So, all this time, you’ve been complaining about me behind my back? And the kids had to step in because you couldn’t appreciate me? You’re impossible, Tanner!”

Dad stammered, “I—I was joking!”

“That’s funny,” Mom said, crossing her arms. “Because I’m not laughing.”

Seth leaned toward me and whispered, “Mom’s about to go nuclear.”

“Good,” I whispered back.

Mom stood, grabbed one of the fishing rods, and placed it firmly in Dad’s lap. “Here. You’ll have plenty of time to ‘joke’ while you’re learning to fish with your new toys.”

Dad opened his mouth to argue but thought better of it. He slumped back in his chair, defeated.

The rest of the day was perfect. Mom basked in the love and attention from everyone, while Dad sulked in the corner. That evening, as the chaos died down, Mom pulled Seth and me into a tight hug.

“You two have no idea how much this means to me,” she said softly. “I don’t need fancy things, but knowing you see how hard I work—it’s everything.”

“Of course we see it, Mom,” I said. “We just wanted you to know that we appreciate you. For everything that you’ve done for us.”

Mom laughed, wiping her eyes. “Gosh! I love you both so much! You are the best. And your plan? Genius. I’m so proud of you, Seth and Stella.”

And the fishing rods? Let’s just say they weren’t gifts; they were a lesson. One Dad wouldn’t forget anytime soon. For starters, he never dared call Mom “lazy” again. Safe to say, our plan worked better than we could’ve hoped, don’t you think?

Apple Invested $1 Billion Annually for a Decade on a Product That Won’t See Public Release

Apple is a global tech powerhouse, yet even they couldn’t get one of their ambitious products to succeed, leading to its abandonment.

For many, Apple is synonymous with technology. Their influence is pervasive, and they’ve long strived to dominate the smartphone sector.

However, Apple was working behind the scenes to enter a new market. Despite a decade of effort, they decided to abandon the project.

It’s not unusual for large tech companies to scrap projects regularly, but this particular endeavor was a costly one.

Over ten years, Apple invested $10 billion in attempting to launch this product, but it was ultimately not successful.

The project in question was their secretive car initiative, known as Titan, which they decided to discontinue.

Although the exact reasons for the project’s termination in early 2024 aren’t clear, Apple informed the 2,000 employees working on it that it was being shelved.

Originally, the project aimed to challenge Tesla by developing an electric car, later pivoting to focus on self-driving technology. Eventually, it reverted to being an electric vehicle contender against Tesla.

It’s easy to ponder the financial losses incurred while changing the project’s direction.

When Apple terminated the project in 2024, they shifted their focus to generative artificial intelligence, which resulted in 600 employees losing their jobs.

A post on Instagram highlighted Apple’s misstep, but sympathy for the company was limited despite the financial hit.

One user quipped: “They can afford it from all the money they annually collect from re-releasing the same phone.”

Another joked: “So this why y’all stop giving us a charger in the box?” while another speculated: “Imagine a car that starts glitching when the new model comes out.”

Someone else commented: “Billion dollars… I guess iPhones is about to cost us $10.00 more so they can make that money back up lol.”

Yet, another user offered a positive note: “He who is not courageous enough to take risks will accomplish nothing in life.”

It appeared as if the actress was sporting an engagement ring

Fans have been sent into a frenzy amid speculation that Zendaya and Tom Holland are engaged.

Zendaya and Tom have been dating for some years now, with many people (myself included) hoping that the celebrity pair will go on to tie the knot.

The Challengers star has previously sparked speculation that she and Tom were engaged back in 2023, but she was quick to shut down the reports.

Now, Zendaya has caused a stir once more after being seen wearing a ring on that finger at the Golden Globes.

Adding fuel to the fire, in a video that’s gone viral online, Zendaya, 28, seemed to show off to her ring to someone who approached her table.

Eagled-eyed fans also spotted that the actress seems to have a tiny ‘T’ tattoo on her ribs.

Both these things have sent the rumor mill wild.

“Zendaya has a tattoo and a huge fucking rock on her finger, it’s like she doesn’t care if I just knock all this sh*t over rn,” someone said.

Another person questioned: “ZENDAYA?????? ENGAGED???”

“Zendaya showing off a supposed engagement ring and a ‘t’ tattoo wasn’t on my golden globes bingo card but I’m loving it,” admitted a different social media user.

UNILAD have approached Zendaya’s rep for comment.

Squid Game enthusiasts notice ‘intriguing’ detail in latest series that ‘completely alters’ your view of the first episode

Attentive fans of Squid Game’s second season have uncovered an intriguing detail that alters the way you view the first episode.

The inaugural season of the popular South Korean series captivated Netflix audiences during the 2021 Covid pandemic.

The eagerly awaited second season of Squid Game was released on December 26, 2024, maintaining its intense action-packed plot.

Be advised: Spoilers for Squid Game season two follow.

The new season opens with Seong Gi-hun (Lee Jung-jae), fresh from his season one victory, as he embarks on a quest to find the salesman who first lured him into the perilous games.

Using his substantial earnings, Gi-hun sets out to track the recruiter, intending to infiltrate the games and confront the Front Man (Lee Byung-hun).

The previous Squid Game victor eventually catches sight of the recruiter involved in a game of Ddakji at a subway station. Does this ring a bell for anyone?

However, when Gi-hun chooses to pursue him, things take a turn for the worse for him and his companion, Choi Woo-seok (Jeon Seok-ho), as they are detected and compelled to partake in Squid Game once more.

The first game they are coerced into playing is Rock, Paper, Scissors, with the added tension of Russian Roulette.

The threat of death seems to escalate when more bullets are introduced into the game, but one observant viewer has noticed an ‘intriguing’ detail suggesting the game might not have been as lethal as it appeared.

A Reddit post pointed out: “Why’d the recruiter use dummy bullets in the Russian roulette scene?

“In the recruiter’s first Russian roulette game between the loan sharks, if you look closely you can see that the recruiter actually loaded a dummy bullet (you can tell by the ‘hole’, it’s caused by the primer already being hit by the firing pin).

“So there was actually a 0% chance of the gun firing at first.”

The viewer speculated further about the implications of the first episode, stating: “Then in the second game when they play with 5 bullets, the recruiter adds 3 more dummies and 1 real bullet (you can tell as it’s flat, so the primer hasn’t already been hit). So there was actually only a 1/6 chance of dying.

“Maybe he just enjoyed their suffering and wanted to make them panic even more by adding more bullets, making them think death was pretty much imminent, even if it was only 1/6.”

You can now watch Squid Game season two streaming on Netflix.
