A mum made a terrifying final phone call to authorities after shooting her children in her own house.

Tranyelle Harshman murdered three of her four daughters with a gun in a shooting at their Wyoming home on Monday 10 February, with her seven-year-old daughter, Olivia, currently fighting for her life.

She was taken to a hospital in Salt Lake City for treatment over a ‘severe traumatic brain injury’, according to family.

The mother is believed to have opened fire on her kids, with her nine-year-old and both two-year-olds succumbing to their gunshot wounds, as reported by KTVQ.

Harshman is then believed to have pointed the gun at herself.

The American mum called authorities after committing the heinous crimes, according to Big Horn County Sheriff’s Office.

It was reported in a press release on Tuesday that the status of the mother and her surviving daughter was unknown, though it has since been revealed that the mother died in hospital on Tuesday night from her injuries after shooting herself.

The 32-year-old’s sister, Savannah Rose, revealed to MTN that the daughter is being treated while sedated, responding to some touch.

It is further stated in the press release that the shooting happened around 1:30pm, before a 911 call was made by Harshman, who reported gunshots and that she thought her children were dead.

Speaking to the dispatcher, she said she planned to shoot herself in her upstairs bedroom, and despite the dispatcher ‘pleading’ with her to remain on the call until authorities arrived, the call was eventually disconnected.

Sheriff’s deputies and local law enforcement arrived at the house within minutes, according to the release, with officers discovering two children deceased with gunshot wounds to the head, while the other two children suffered wounds, but were still alive.

Unfortunately, the two-year-old would succumb ‘a very short time later due to the extent of her injuries’.

The surviving mother and daughter were taken to North Big Horn Hospital, though friends of Harshman explained to MTN that she suffered from mental health problems, including post-partum depression.

Briana Baker, a longtime friend of Harshman, said ‘you never know what someone is struggling with,’ explaining: “Tranyelle was not the monster this tragedy makes her seem to be.

“Her loved ones don’t want her to be remembered for her darkest moments.”

Describing her as ‘sweet, loving, and funny’, she pointed out that family was her main focus in life.

A former high school class mate of Harshman, Safe Miears, highlighted: “If she was really battling post-partum depression, that’s a serious thing. People needed to be there for her.”
