Rocker Ozzy Osbourne died surrounded by his family aged 76 in recent weeks
Ozzy Osbourne‘s cause of death has been officially revealed as “acute myocardial infarction” and “out-of-hospital cardiac arrest”. His death certificate confirmed the rocker’s cause of death after he died on June 22 at the age of 76. The conditions were marked as joint causes. The document described his occupation as a “rock legend, songwriter and performer”. The revelation comes just weeks after his death at the age of 76 shocked the world, coming as it did just over a fortnight after his final ever performance at the Back To The Beginning show in Birmingham‘s Villa Park.
His family issued a statement confirming the sad news. “It is with more sadness than mere words can convey that we have to report that our beloved Ozzy Osbourne has passed away this morning. He was with his family and surrounded by love. We ask everyone to respect our family’s privacy at this time.” The touching words were signed off by his wife, Sharon, and children, Aimee, Kelly, Jack, and Louis.
He was buried in a low-key private burial service on Thursday, July 31, nine days after his death.
The star-studded service, with family and invited guests, followed his funeral procession on Wednesday, July 30, in front of a crowd of mourners, which Birmingham City Council said stretched for more than a mile and was made up of tens of thousands of people.
