Ethan Bramble, famously tattooed from head to toe, opens up about regrets and starts removing his face tattoos for his daughter’s well-being.
At just 11 years old, he started stretching his ears, which sparked a fascination with altering his appearance.
As he got older, his modifications became more extreme, including splitting his tongue and even surgically removing his belly button.
These choices made him a standout figure but also subjected him to criticism and judgment from others.
By the time he realized he might have taken things too far, his body was nearly covered in ink, and the idea of reversing those changes seemed overwhelming.
The cost of creating his striking appearance was significant, totaling around AUD 60,000 (approximately $39,000 USD).
This investment in his body also highlighted the scale of what he might need to undo if he chose to make a change.
Reflecting on his journey, he admitted, “I guess you could say I regret some tattoos. Not just regret; it’s more about wanting to be perceived differently.”
He also shared how public reactions, particularly the way people stared at him when he was with his young daughter, played a big role in his decision. “The face is a big thing,” he added.
Continuing his thoughts, he expressed, “It can lead to so many issues. I wouldn’t want my daughter to have to deal with those until she’s older. I wish I hadn’t gone so extreme with my face.”
This decision marked a significant step in addressing his feelings and reshaping his image for his daughter’s sake.
“I’ve been undergoing laser treatments for about 12 months now,” he explained.
“We do it in sections, and I’ve gone over the full area six or seven times.”
He added, “I’m happy with how I look, but I’m also happy knowing that in two years, my face tattoos will fade more and more. It’s like clearing the canvas.”
Bramble’s journey serves as a powerful reminder of the intersection between self-expression, societal perception, and personal growth.
His decision to make such a dramatic transformation for his daughter’s future has inspired many to think about the lasting impacts of their own choices.
