The 78-year-old music icon, best known for hit songs ‘Because The Night’ and ‘Dancing Barefoot,’ was performing at the Teatro Cultura Artística on Wednesday (January 29) night alongside Soundwalk Collective when she suddenly fainted.

Witnesses told Metropoles that the four-time Grammy nominee fell backward and hit her head on the stage.

Teatro Cultura Artística shared a statement on Instagram after the incident, revealing that Smith had been suffering from “severe migraines for the past few days”.

The venue assured concerned fans that she quickly rushed off stage in a wheelchair and “is being monitored by top doctors and staff”.

Despite medical recommendations to abandon the show, Smith returned to the stage and delivered a stunning performance of her classic hit ‘Because the Night’.

The crowd erupted in applause as she powered through another song. “It was a very memorable moment for everyone present,” the theater added in its statement.

The ‘Gloria’ singer is scheduled to perform again with Soundwalk Collective on Thursday (January 30) night at the same venue. Organizers have promised to keep fans updated on her condition.

“We thank Patti Smith and Soundwalk Collective for taking care of the audience, and everyone for their support during the event. As soon as we have information about tomorrow’s performance, we will share it on our channels. We count on everyone’s understanding,” the venue concluded.

The experimental group also shared their own statement on social media, telling fans Smith “is tremendously grateful for your patience and forgiveness and she sends her love to all who attended”.

This isn’t the first time the singer-songwriter has faced health concerns.

Back in December 2023, Smith was forced to cancel a show at Teatro Duse in Bologna, Italy, due to a medical issue.

She later shared her gratitude for the hospital staff and fans who supported her through the ordeal.

Posting a smiling photo alongside the medical team, she wrote: “This is thanking all at the hospital for their help and guidance. I am so sorry that we had to cancel concerts in Bologna and Venice. I will return to fulfill my happy obligations.”

She also took a moment to acknowledge healthcare workers worldwide, adding: “This is also to thank all the medical teams globally, who attend to the people’s needs, especially those altruistically serving under fire, all healers, physicians, nurses, and attendants.”

“Also, I want to thank everyone for sending messages of love and concern,” she continued. “I am resting, as the doctor ordered, grateful to have had such care, though being painfully aware that many are not so fortunate.”

The Bologna Health Authority later confirmed that she had been discharged in “good health”, sharing their own message of support: “We hope to be seeing you on stage soon after an appropriate period of rest!”

The London-born star found fame in the 1960s with the release of her single ‘As Tears Go By’, becoming one of the lead female artists during the British Invasion in the United States.

News of her death was confirmed by her spokesperson, who said in a statement on Thursday: “It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of the singer, songwriter, and actress Marianne Faithful.

“Marianne passed away peacefully in London today, in the company of her loving family. She will be dearly missed.”

Faithfull’s best-known hit, ‘As Tears Go By’, was written by the Rolling Stones’ Keith Richards and Mick Jagger, the latter of whom she was in a relationship with for several years.

Faithfull had met the Rolling Stones’ manager, Andrew Loog Oldham, who’d set her up with Jagger and Richards, starting her successful career with several Top 10 singles in the UK, which also charted in the US.

She married artist John Dunbar in 1965, with the couple going on to have a son, but left Dunbar for Jagger, dating him for four years before they split.

Jagger, 81, shared his heartbreak at the news of Faithfull’s death, writing on Instagram: “I am so saddened to hear of the death of Marianne Faithfull.

“She was so much part of my life for so long. She was a wonderful friend, a beautiful singer and a great actress. She will always be remembered.”

Richards also shared a photo of them together, sharing a toast in more recent years, writing: “My heartfelt condolences to Marianne’s family! I am so sad and will miss her!! Love, Keith.”

Faithfull was known as a muse for the band, reportedly inspiring the Rolling Stones’ song ‘Wild Horses’ after once telling Jagger: “Wild horses couldn’t drag me away.”

Her struggles with drug addiction were also said to be the inspiration for the songs ‘Dear Doctor’ and ‘You Can’t Always Get What You Want’.

Faithfull previously said: “I know they used me as a muse for those tough drug songs. I knew I was being used, but it was for a worthy cause.”

According to the Guardian, as Faithfull’s addiction to cocaine and heroin worsened, she was once found naked, wrapped in a fur rug alongside Jagger, Richards, and six other men by police in 1967, who’d raided Richards’ home.

She later said: “It destroyed me. To be a male drug addict and to act like that is always enhancing and glamorizing. A woman in that situation becomes a slut and a bad mother.”

By the early 1970s, Faithfull had broken up with Jagger, lost custody of her son, and found herself homeless and living on the streets of Soho, London, as she tried to get clean from drugs.

Faithfull revealed that this time in her life led her to see that she’d been living in a “very fake sort of world in the ’60s”, and showed her the kindness of ordinary people, as a local Chinese restaurant allowed her to wash her clothes there, while a man working on a tea stall gave her cups of tea.

She managed to turn her life around and returned to music with a country album in 1976 titled Dreamin’ My Dreams, before quitting drugs for good in 1985.

Faithfull continued to release music as well as acting, and went on to get married and divorced twice more, first to Ben Brierly of the punk band the Vibrators and then to actor Giorgio Della Terza.

In her later life, Faithfull lived in Paris and had undergone several health battles including a successful surgery for breast cancer in 2006. She also announced in 2007 that she had hepatitis C, having been diagnosed 12 years before.

Faithfull is survived by her son, Nicholas Dunbar.

Our thoughts remain with her family, friends, and fans at this heartbreaking time.

Chrissy, who has been open about her parenting journey, balances humor with vulnerability as she shares the highs and lows of raising her little ones.

But sadly, the family is mourning the loss of their cherished French bulldog, Penny, who passed away peacefully in her sleep.

Penny, born on the couple’s wedding day 11 years ago, was a constant presence through their life’s milestones. Teigen shared on Instagram, “Our beautiful little tripod queen, penny, passed on peacefully in her sleep today. Born the same day John and I got married, 11 years ago, she was there for us for every baby, every loss, every joy.”

“She loved nothing more than being loved, having her nub rubbed and destroying any ball she could get her paw on, even til her last weeks,” she added.

The model added: “Never forget that while every pup is just a few chapters in your long life, for them you are their entire book, their entire lives. Oh penny. We were so beyond lucky to have you. Say hi to Puddy and Pippa for us. You are all together again.”

Penny, affectionately known as the “tripod queen” due to her three-legged stature, was adopted by the couple in 2014. At that time, Teigen told PEOPLE, “She’s a little tripod. She has been abused, and we are so excited to welcome her to the family.”

Over the years, Penny became an integral part of their household, which also includes other pets like dogs, birds, a hamster, and a bearded dragon.

Penny’s passing comes shortly after the family faced another challenge. Earlier this month, they evacuated their home due to wildfires in Los Angeles, ensuring the safety of their four children and multiple pets.

People demand Kanye West’s wife be locked up after being spotted in McDonald’s with ‘no underwear’

People are outraged after Kanye West’s wife Bianca Censori was spotted in McDonald’s leaving as little to the imagination as she possibly could.

The rapper, 47, and Bianca, 29, were photographed ordering food at a McDonald’s in Tokyo, Japan, with the latter appearing not to wear any panties underneath her sheer spandex leggings.

She paired the revealing look with a strapless top and wore her signature dark locks slicked back. In contrast, her husband donned a green jacket with white pants.

The individual who spotted the pair wrote on X: “My friend just had a little chat with Kanye West at a McDonalds in Tokyo.”

Many have since taken to social media to express their disapproval, with one writing: “Something should be done it’s indecent exposure FFS.”

Another added: “I wonder if an ordinary unknown person did the same thing, will they not get done for public indecency or exposure or something. No-one wants to see private intimate parts in public.”

A third penned: “She needs locking up!…. And him!!”

Kanye recently revealed his net worth after taking sole ownership of his Yeezy brand after Adidas cut ties.

If you cast your mind back to 2022, Forbes announced that West was no longer a billionaire after the giant sporting brand parted ways with him.

West faced widespread backlash following a series of controversies, including wearing a “White Lives Matter” shirt at Paris Fashion Week and posting antisemitic remarks on X.

Among the tweets was a declaration that he would go “Death Con 3” on Jewish people, along with claims that rapper Diddy was being influenced by Jewish individuals.

The fallout was swift. High-profile brands, including Balenciaga, GAP, Vogue, Adidas, and others, cut ties with him following his remarks.

Adidas, whose partnership with West accounted for a substantial portion of his wealth, released a strongly worded statement after his remarks, saying: “Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and any other sort of hate speech.

“[West’s] recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful, and dangerous, and they violate the company’s values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect, and fairness.”

The company added: “After a thorough review, the company has taken the decision to terminate the partnership with [West] immediately, end production of Yeezy branded products, and stop all payments to [West] and his companies. Adidas will stop the Adidas Yeezy business with immediate effect.”

This decision caused a reported $1.4 billion loss in West’s net worth, effectively removing him from Forbes’ billionaire list. CNN Business estimated West’s remaining fortune at $400 million.

Well, it appears as if things have turned around for the controversial rapper.

West has unveiled his staggering net worth, credited to his music portfolio and sole ownership of the Yeezy brand. The revelation was shared with his 20.5 million Instagram followers on Friday, offering a glimpse into his financial resurgence.

Steve Irwin’s daughter Bindi shares heartbreaking health update: ‘I was tested for everything. Every tropical disease’

Bindi Irwin shared a heartbreaking health update and opened up about a moment that “broke [her] heart.”

The 26-year-old conservationist, who revealed her diagnosis last year, expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support from women who related to her experience.

Speaking to The Courier Mail, Bindi reflected on how her chronic pain was often misunderstood.

“Everyone thought I was becoming this flaky person because I would bow out of commitments at the last minute because I was in so much pain,” she said.

In August 2023, Bindi revealed the uphill battle she faced to receive a proper diagnosis, as many medical professionals initially dismissed her symptoms.

Once diagnosed, she found herself overwhelmed by the sheer number of women who reached out with similar stories.

“In some ways the response to telling my story was devastating because so many women came forward,” she said.

“It broke my heart. Some of their stories were identical to mine, some had taken even longer to get a diagnosis, and there was a plethora of women’s health issues shared with me, and with each other.”

Despite the difficulty, Bindi found comfort in the connections forged through shared experiences. “It was women supporting other women, and that part of it was beautiful,” she added.

Bindi has been vocal about how challenging it was to have her pain taken seriously. In an earlier interview with PEOPLE magazine, she described the years of uncertainty and invalidation she endured before receiving her diagnosis.

“I was tested for everything. Every tropical disease, Lyme disease, cancer, you name it. I had every blood test and scan imaginable,” she said.

Doctors often dismissed her pain as minor or psychological, suggesting it was “all in her head.” Bindi said she even began to question herself after countless failed attempts to find answers.

“You wind up in this strange space of self-doubt, fear, and insecurity,” she shared.

The turning point came when her condition worsened dramatically, culminating in an episode where she collapsed in a fetal position.

Endometriosis is a painful condition where tissue similar to the uterine lining grows outside the uterus. Symptoms can include abdominal, pelvic, and lower back pain, as well as painful menstruation, bloating, and nausea.

After years of misdiagnosis, Bindi finally found a doctor who took her concerns seriously. Earlier this year, she underwent a life-changing surgery that removed 37 lesions and a “chocolate cyst” from her ovary.

The procedure was performed at the Seckin Endometriosis Center in New York City. “I feel like I have a second chance at life,” Bindi said. “It’s not like a light switch, but every week I feel like I’m able to do a little bit more.”

In May 2023, Bindi reassured her fans that she was recovering well and expressed her gratitude for the medical care she received.

The 58-year-old actor, best known for portraying Ross Geller in Friends, was seen on Sunday evening (January 19) leaving Spago, an upscale Beverly Hills restaurant, alongside a much younger woman.

According to Daily Mail, the woman has been identified as 29-year-old Eliana Jolkovsky, a UCLA medical student and Jewish activist.

Schwimmer, dressed in dark clothing with a cap and light beard, kept a low profile as he accompanied Jolkovsky, who is part Korean, to an Uber – even holding the car door open for her. Meanwhile, the woman turned heads in chic white fold-over boots with a kitten heel.

Per the UCLA student’s social media, she performed cadaveric gut dissections during her medical studies, is passionate about Mizrahi history, attends Shabbat, and donates to support Holocaust survivors living in poverty.

Her Instagram also hints at her interest in fashion, where she frequently showcases stylish looks and full makeup.

Schwimmer hasn’t been linked to anyone romantically since his 2017 split from Zoe Buckman, who is 39.

The former couple, who were married for six years from 2010, share a daughter named Cleo Buckman Schwimmer.

The pair announced their separation in a joint statement, writing that they were taking “some time apart while we determine the future of our relationship”.

“Our priority is, of course, our daughter’s happiness and well-being during this challenging time, and so we ask for your support and respect for our privacy as we continue to raise her together and navigate this new chapter for our family,” they concluded, per News.com.au.

While his personal life garners attention, Schwimmer continues to reflect fondly on his iconic role on Friends.

In a recent appearance on Good Morning America, he shared that he remains “pretty close” with co-star Matt LeBlanc.

“LeBlanc and I are pretty close, even though I live in New York and he’s in LA,” he said, recalling a moment when his co-star surprised him with a hilarious clip from the beloved sitcom.

“He’ll send me a message with a clip from [Friends] – which, it’s always funny to relive something we shot, what, 25 years ago or more?” he added.

The actor also shared heartwarming stories from fans, telling the hosts: “When I meet people on the street from another country and they say, ‘Just have to say, I learned English watching your show,’ or a father stops me and says, ‘My kid was really, really ill and the one thing that kept them going in the hospital was just watching Friends.’

“It’s kind of the gift that keeps on giving,” Schwimmer remarked. “You feel really grateful and blessed to have done something that people find fun.”

Andie MacDowell reveals she has been diagnosed with Piriformis Syndrome

Andie MacDowell has opened up about her health, revealing that she has been diagnosed with Piriformis Syndrome.

The 66-year-old made the revelation during an appearance on The Drew Barrymore Show on January 23.

“I have piriformis syndrome, so it’s a muscle that kind of clamps down on my sciatic nerve, and it was shooting down my leg,” MacDowell told host Drew Barrymore, 49.

Initially concerned about needing surgery, MacDowell added, “I thought I was going to have to have hip replacement, thank God, my hips are fine.”

The actress explained how she has worked to improve her condition. “I have to work my tiny little bottom and my hips. I have to work the bottom and work my hip. I just do it every day,” she said, adding that the pain “doesn’t hurt anymore,” calling it “a miracle.”

Piriformis syndrome, according to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), is caused when the piriformis muscle in the buttocks presses on the sciatic nerve.

Symptoms often include tenderness, tingling, and pain while sitting, climbing stairs, walking, or running.

The condition is associated with sciatica and can result from damage, irritation, or overuse of the muscle.

MacDowell also spoke about embracing the aging process, an approach she has become known for in Hollywood, especially after deciding to go natural with her silver hair during the pandemic.

“I think as you age, lift weights, work with a [personal trainer] PT person to build your muscles,” MacDowell said while discussing the importance of fitness.

However, the journey hasn’t been without setbacks. She admitted to overdoing certain exercises, saying: “I’d been riding my indoor bike like a crazy person… It’s not appropriate for my body, and I ended up with bad knees and a bad hip. I thought I was literally falling apart.”

During the interview, MacDowell also shared how moving to South Carolina has brought her joy now that her children have grown up and moved out. The actress is a mother to three children: daughters Margaret Qualley, 30, and Rainey Qualley, 35, and son Justin Qualley, 39, whom she shares with her ex-husband, Paul Qualley.

“I’m happier now than I have been in a long time,” MacDowell said. “I moved to South Carolina, and I really, I’m taking good care of myself. It took me forever.”

The move came after a period of adjustment following her children leaving home. “Once my kids left, I felt this huge void in my life because they were so important to me.”

MacDowell credited her daughter Margaret for inspiring her to embrace her new phase of life.

“Margaret really was kinda telling me I was supposed to be having the time of my life, but I wasn’t,” she explained. “But now I am. I’m having the time of my life now. It’s really good.”
