A widowed man travels a long way to retrieve his newborn baby, but when he tries to return home with the child, he is refused entry into the plane.

Bob Hollis was running late. The 40-year-old had just received a call from a Florida hospital telling him a girl had just been born and he was listed as the father.

He would have discounted it as a prank, but he knew his wife was in Florida for a short holiday he organized for her while he renovated their home — it was a surprise.

The two had no kids of their own and had adopted three because adoption was something they both wanted to be involved in, so they needed to add more rooms to their house, which was why he was renovating.

Among the two, Bob was more particular about getting a foster child because he was one himself, and he had grown up promising himself to take in as many kids as he could.

“If I can help those kids grow up to be the best of themselves then I feel like I’ve made a huge difference,” he told his wife while they were discussing it.

Bob was also father to two grown kids whom he conceived while he was with his former wife, Ellen. The two went their separate ways after the woman decided to cheat with their pool boy, and she was caught.

He met his second wife, Mary, two years later, and after dating for several months, they got married. They tried to have kids but were unsuccessful, and this motivated them to look into adoption, but they never stopped trying to make babies.

One day, their persistence paid off, and Mary conceived a child. It was in preparation of the baby’s arrival that Bob decided to expand the house to include a nursery and an extra room.

After making the decision, he got Mary, who was due in two months, on a plane to Florida — a place she had always wanted to visit. But when she arrived in Florida, the woman immediately went into labor and was subsequently rushed to the hospital.

Unfortunately, she died during childbirth, so Bob was told that because the child was a newborn, it was necessary to fly out immediately. He packed his suitcases and flew to Florida to pick up her daughter.

When his plane landed, he rented a car and made his way to the hospital, where his wife had allegedly passed away.

The news of her death still ate at him, but he knew there would be time to grieve later, so he focused on bringing home their only child together.

When he arrived at the hospital, he met with the volunteer at the intensive care unit, a woman who was 82 years old and recently widowed.

Her name was Mrs. Sticks, and she had things to tell Bob. “What happened?” he asked her as soon as he entered her office.

“Have a seat Mr. Hollis,” she said calmly.

“I’m better off standing, he replied.

“I’m sorry for your loss Mr. Hollis, but your wife suffered some complications giving birth to your child.”

At that, Bob cried bitterly, and Mrs. Sticks quietly watched him, choosing to let him grieve. After a few minutes, she cleared her throat and spoke.

“As I understand you have come for the child, but I have to make sure that you have what it takes to care for one,” Mrs. Sticks said.

Bob let her know that he was already a father and Mrs. Meredith Sticks nodded appreciatively as if to say, “You’ll do,” but she still gave him her phone number.

“Call me if you need anything,” she said. The kind woman also offered her new acquaintance a ride to the airport on the day of departure.

Things went on smoothly for Bob until it was time to board the plane. When he got to the boarding gate, the woman at the counter refused to let him through.

“Is this your child sir?” she asked.

“Of course she is,” he said.

“I’m sorry but she seems too young to be on an airplane. How old is she?”

“She’s four days old. Now can I get through?” Bob said.

“I’m sorry sir, but you’ll have to present her birth certificate and wait till she is at least seven days old before traveling with her,” the woman said sternly.

“What’s this?” Bob asked angrily. “Are you saying I have to remain here for the next couple of days? I have no family here to stay with which is why I must get home today.”

“I’m sorry, it’s the policy,” the woman said and turned her attention to the next person in line.

Bob knew that it would take him quite some time to obtain the document but he also had nowhere to go in Florida and no one to ask for help.

He was preparing to spend the night at the airport when he remembered Mrs. Sticks, the kind woman from the medical center. He would rather not have bothered her, but he had no choice, and the night was quickly approaching.

“Hello Meredith,” he said. “I need your help.”

When Mrs. Sticks found out about Bob’s problem, she immediately promised to return to the airport and bring them to her home — it was an offer that astounded Bob, who knew he would most likely have refused to help if he was in her place.

“Compassion still thrives in this world,” he thought to himself.

Bob stayed at Mrs. Sticks’ house for more than a week before he returned to Texas. The woman didn’t just welcome Bob and his daughter into her home. She helped him cope with the newborn baby as well as the death of his wife by talking to him and comforting him. She even helped him arrange for the proper transportation of his wife’s body, making things easier for him.

The man could not believe how generous she was and would always call her a real angel — even his daughter seemed to love the woman because the girl would start to glow and giggle just from hearing the woman’s voice.

During his stay, Bob learned that the woman had four grown children, seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Together they looked after the baby, took relieving walks, and even went to honor the memory of Mrs. Sticks’ departed husband — activities that brought the two even closer.

The man saw in Mrs. Sticks his mother who had passed away a long time ago, and he knew he would miss her a lot when he flew home.

After receiving his daughter’s birth certificate, he was permitted to return home, but Bob continued to keep in touch with the old lady who had helped him.

He had no idea how things would have worked out without her, and he never forgot her kindness, so he visited her every year with his little daughter until she passed away a few years later.

A lawyer reached out to him at her funeral and told him that Mrs. Sticks had left him part of her inheritance, just like she did for her kids.

In honor of her kindness, Bob donated the money to a charity he founded together with her four kids, including her oldest daughter Shirley, whom he fell in love with due to constant exposure to her charms. Later, the two got married, and she became a mother to his six kids.

What did we gain from this story?

  • Kindness leaves a lasting impression. Bob could never forget Mrs. Sticks, who was there for him in his difficult times. Her heart inspired him to found the charity organization, which was a way to share more kindness around.
  • Imbibe the culture of giving back. Bob adopted three kids with his late wife because he was from a foster home himself and wanted to find a way to make the lives of kids in orphanages better. It is an act worthy of emulation.

Pamela Anderson was 'almost killed' on a plane after being mistaken for another A-list celebrity

The man who confronted the actress had to be handcuffed to a chair

Pamela Anderson has recalled a time she was mistaken for another celebrity and it could have ended badly for the actress.

It’s not uncommon for famous faces to be mistaken for another star, something Jesse Plemons knows first hand.

Last year, Civil War star Plemons said he was ‘flattered’ to be sometimes be mistaken for Matt Damon.

“There are worse things to be called, for sure,” Plemons said at the time.

“It’s definitely flattering. But yeah, throughout the course of my career, I’ve had various Matt Damon-associated nicknames and such.”

While Plemons was somewhat happy to mistaken for Damon, Pamela Anderson faced a scary situation when someone mistook her for another celebrity that had recently caused some controversy.

Chatting to Josh Horowitz on his Happy Sad Confused Podcast, the Baywatch favorite was asked if she’s ever been mistaken for another star.

She went on to recall: “This one time, I was on a flight and this guy came up to me and said, ‘Do you know what this country’s done for you?’

“And I was like, ‘Oh, my God. What have I done?’ I was like, ‘Oh God.’

“I looked back and he was [angry]. Then this stewardess had to handcuff him to the chair because he was trying to attack me.”

It turns out he thought Anderson was a Dixie Chick.

Anderson went on: “Remember that whole Dixie Chick thing? I almost got killed on a plane. I was scared to fly after that, a little bit.”

The ‘thing’ the Golden Globe nominee’s thought to be referring to is when Natalie Maines said her band were ashamed to be from Texas as it was the same place as then-President George W Bush.

In 2003, the singer said: “We do not want this war, this violence, and we’re ashamed that the President of the United States is from Texas.”

Maines made the remarks around the time the US had invaded Iraq.

Her comments had devastating consequences for the band and everything changed for them ‘overnight’.

Former Colombia Records president Don Ienner said to Billboard in 2022: “Home was selling millions of albums, the songs were all over country and pop radio, [they had a] sold-out arena tour.

“In one day, they’re off the air, and fans are burning their records.”

He went on: “It was literally overnight. I had never seen the venom or the hatred in the United States of America, where we’re supposed to have freedom of speech.”

While Maines went on to express her regret about the comments she made in 2003, she backtracked in a 2006 Time Magazine interview and said: “I don’t feel [Bush] is owed any respect whatsoever.”

After my boyfriend threw me and our son out, a kind stranger gave us a roof over our heads, no strings attached. Or so I thought. I wasn’t ready for the secrets hiding in the walls—or how they connected to my son’s absent father.

I never thought my life could flip so drastically in a single evening. One moment, I was trying to calm my boyfriend after one of his usual outbursts; the next, my five-year-old son, Carter and I were standing outside in the cold, with our belongings.

His voice still rang in my ears: “Get out! Take your crap and don’t come back!”

Carter clutched his teddy bear, his big brown eyes brimming with tears.

“Mom,” he whispered, his voice trembling, “Is Daddy angry because of me?”

My heart broke right there on the spot. I knelt, brushing a strand of his messy hair out of his face.

“No, sweetheart, no. It’s not your fault.”

Before I could say more, an unfamiliar voice cut through the tension. “No, young man, it’s definitely not your fault.”

Startled, I turned to see an older gentleman approaching from the sidewalk. He was tall, with a beige jacket that looked decades out of style. His brown eyes landed on Carter, softening as he crouched to his level. “Everything’s going to be okay, I promise,” he said, his tone gentle.

“Who—” I started, but he held up a hand.

“I’m Mr. Harrington,” he said, straightening and offering a small nod. “Your neighbor from a few streets over. Saw what happened and thought I’d check if you needed help.”

Help? I didn’t even know what that looked like anymore. “That’s very kind of you, but we’ll be okay,” I stammered, though I knew that wasn’t true.

Mr. Harrington didn’t seem convinced. “No offense, miss, but you don’t look okay. And this boy here deserves a roof over his head tonight. I think I’ve got just the thing.”

What followed was nothing short of surreal. A few hours later, Carter and I were standing in front of a sprawling, ivy-covered mansion. It looked straight out of a movie—massive columns, and ornate windows.

“Are you sure about this?” I asked as Mr. Harrington pressed a single, ancient-looking key into my palm.

He grinned. “Absolutely. What’s the harm? I’ve got more rooms than I know what to do with. You and the little one might as well make use of them.”

“For $1 a month?” I asked, skeptical.

“Exactly. One dollar.” He winked. “Consider it a neighborly gesture.”

It seemed like a miracle at the time. But miracles, I would soon learn, often come with a price.

The first time I noticed the cameras, I told myself I was overthinking it. “They’re just for security,” Mr. Harrington said with a wave of his hand when I asked about them nestled in the corners of nearly every room. His voice was calm, even reassuring, but something in his tone made my skin prickle.

“Why so many, though?” I pressed.

“It’s a big house,” he replied lightly, smiling like he’d rehearsed the answer. “Wouldn’t want anyone sneaking in, would we?”

It felt… off. But Carter loved the mansion, and the rent was nothing. I convinced myself I was being paranoid. Until the closet.

“Mom!” Carter’s voice rang out from his room, a mix of excitement and curiosity. “There’s a secret door!”

I hurried to him, finding him kneeling by the back wall of his closet. His tiny fingers had uncovered a latch hidden behind a loose panel. My heart pounded. “Carter, don’t touch that,” I said sharply, pulling him back.

“But I wanna see!” he protested.

Against my better judgment, I tugged the latch, and the wall creaked open to reveal a dimly lit room. Inside, a wave of stale air greeted me, along with the eerie sight of old toys neatly arranged on shelves.

There was a rocking horse in the corner, a stack of faded drawings, and a baby blanket draped over a chair.

My stomach churned. “What is this?” I whispered, stepping further in.

That’s when I saw them. Photos. Dozens of them, plastered on the walls. My breath caught in my throat as I moved closer. They were all of Carter—or so I thought.

The more I looked, the stranger it became. These weren’t places we’d been. These weren’t moments I recognized. And yet, the resemblance was undeniable. My hands shook as I ripped a photo off the wall.

“Mom, why are there pictures of me?” Carter asked, his small voice trembling.

“We’re leaving,” I said, the words spilling out in a panic. I grabbed Carter’s hand and began to pack frantically, stuffing clothes into bags as my mind raced.

That’s when Mr. Harrington appeared in the doorway. “Please don’t go,” he said, his voice heavy with something between sadness and desperation.

I froze. “You’ve got two seconds to explain, or I’m calling the police.”

He sighed deeply. “It’s not what you think. Those aren’t photos of your son, but of his father.”

“What?” The word barely escaped my lips.

Mr. Harrington stepped into the room, his eyes glistening. “Your boyfriend is my son. Those photos are of him when he was a child. That secret room? It was his. I built it for him when he was Carter’s age.”

I stared at him, my mind reeling. “You’re saying—”

“I’m saying Carter looks exactly like his father did at that age. And this house… it’s as much his as it is mine.”

Before I could respond, Carter tugged on my sleeve, his eyes wide. “Mom, is he my grandpa?”

Mr. Harrington sat heavily in the worn leather armchair in the corner of the room, his face lined with grief and regret as he began to tell me his story.

“My son…” Mr. Harrington began, his voice thick. “Carter’s father… he was always difficult. From the time he was a teenager, he didn’t care about school or responsibility. He’d disappear for months, come back when he needed money, and vanish again the moment he had it. We did everything we could to help him find his way, but he refused.”

I stared at him, my thoughts racing. My boyfriend—the man who had thrown us out like trash—had never once mentioned a father. Let alone one who was alive.

“Why didn’t I know about you?” I asked, my voice sharper than I intended. “Why didn’t he tell me? Why didn’t you—”

Mr. Harrington raised a hand. “Six years ago, his mother died.” His voice cracked. “I begged him to come to the funeral. To say goodbye. He didn’t show up. Not a call, not a letter. Nothing.”

My chest tightened. The man I’d loved, had been this heartless?

“After that,” Mr. Harrington continued, “I cut him off. No more money. I told him, ‘If you need to talk, I’ll be here. But don’t come around if all you want is cash.'” He sighed. “You can guess what happened next.”

“He cut ties?” I asked.

“Not just that,” Mr. Harrington said grimly. “He robbed me. Came into this house and took what he could carry. Jewelry. Cash. He left me with nothing but memories of what we once were. That’s why I installed the cameras.”

I felt like the air had been sucked out of the room. Everything was starting to make sense—the cameras, the hidden room, even the arguments my boyfriend and I had begun having when he suddenly had no money.

“This… this can’t be real,” I murmured, but deep down, I knew it was.

Mr. Harrington looked at Carter, his expression softening. “I didn’t know about him,” he said quietly. “If I had… things might’ve been different.”

Carter tugged on my sleeve, his voice small. “Mom, why didn’t Daddy tell us about Grandpa?”

Mr. Harrington leaned forward, his hands clasped tightly as he spoke. “I wasn’t trying to meddle,” he said. “I just… I missed my son. Even after everything, I couldn’t stop worrying about him.”

I stared at him, the weight of his words sinking in.

“What do you mean, ‘worrying?'” I asked, my voice tight.

Mr. Harrington sighed and looked at me with those tired, vulnerable eyes. “I drove to his house. Just to check if he was okay. I didn’t plan on speaking to him. I just… needed to know.”

I held my breath, bracing myself for what was coming next.

“That’s when I saw it,” he continued. “I saw you and Carter standing in the yard, your things scattered everywhere. I saw how he treated you.” His voice cracked, and he looked down at his hands. “I knew then he wasn’t coming back. And I knew I had to step in.”

My heart twisted, torn between anger at the man who abandoned us and something resembling gratitude for the one who took us in. Against my better judgment, I stayed. At first, I told myself it was just until I could get back on my feet. But as the days turned into weeks, I started to see Mr. Harrington in a new light.

He baked cookies with Carter, helped him build a model spaceship for school, and even taught him how to ride a bike. He told Carter stories of his father as a boy—adventures, and mischief that made my little boy giggle.

For the first time in months, I felt like we had something we’d lost: family.

Still, the shadow of my ex lingered. I’d heard whispers through mutual friends that he’d fled town, broke and angry, leaving behind nothing but debt. Part of me wanted closure, but a bigger part of me knew he’d made his choice.

One evening, as I tucked Carter into bed, he looked up at me with sleepy eyes. “Mom, do you think Grandpa’s lonely?”

I glanced toward the hallway, where Mr. Harrington sat in his armchair, staring at a photo of his late wife. My throat tightened. “Maybe a little, sweetie. But I think we’re helping with that.”

From the doorway, Mr. Harrington’s voice broke the quiet. “You’re doing more than you know.”

Some wrestling fans weren’t terribly pleased about the rapper smoking

Travis Scott has raised some eyebrows after appearing to smoke a joint live on Netflix’s WWE debut.

Yesterday (January 6), marked the the streamer’s first ever WWE Raw, which was attended by some of the biggest names in wrestling.

The Rock, John Cena, and the undisputed WWE champion ‘The American Nightmare’ Cody Rhodes were spotted at the highly anticipated event, as well as Bianca Belair and Logan Paul.

Netflix’s Raw marks the first time it’s been available to live stream in the show’s 31-year history. But it wasn’t the wrestling itself that got people talking on social media – it was Travis Scott’s cameo.

The ‘goosebumps’ rapper joined Jey ‘Yeet’ Uso for his ringwalk on Monday, and appeared to be smoking a joint.

It’s highly unlikely that smoking in the Intuit Dome is permitted – and I’m sure the same can be said for smoking weed on live TV.

WWE fans were quick to take to Twitter to air their grievances.

Someone fumed: “Nice family show with crapper Travis Scott smoking pot while escorting Jey Uso to the ring. Disgusting. That’ll make a great Make-A-Wish.”

A different person echoed: “This was bad. Travis Scott should be banned from WWE. Smoking shouldn’t be shown on TV. There are children watching.”

A third WWE fan added: “Rock drinking and driving and Travis Scott smoking a fat joint while blowing smoke over children is an interesting choice for @WWE.”

Hailing Scott’s smoking as ‘offensive’, another viewer wrote: “Why does WWE think its appropriate to show Travis Scott coming out and smoking a joint live while kids are around and also watching me and my children found this offensive and you should be ashamed.”

Not all Netflix viewers had an issue with Scott’s smoking though, and hailed his entrance with Uso as ‘the greatest wrestling entrance ever’.

The matter was addressed by Uso at a post-show press conference.

He said of Scott’s blunt: “I smelled it. He didn’t let me inhale it. I couldn’t. I had to go work. Yeet. Yeet. There were little kids over there, too. Ah sh*t.”

Elsewhere, Triple H said he was thankful that the wrestler said no to smoking the joint.

“I’d like to personally thank Jay Uso for just saying no,” the retired wrestler and chief content officer of WWE said. “On the entrance, that could have gone very differently. I’m thankful that it didn’t.”

He added that fans should ‘expect to see more things from Travis Scott’ when it comes to Netflix’s new WWE venture.

Demi Moore's daughter speaks out after video of mom 'snubbing' Kylie Jenner at Golden Globes goes viral

Demi Moore’s daughter speaks out after video of mom ‘snubbing’ Kylie Jenner at Golden Globes goes viral

Demi Moore’s daughter Tallulah Willis has addressed the Golden Globes award winner ‘snubbing’ Kylie Jenner in a story post to Instagram

Similarly to how Jodie Foster and Nicole Kidman’s conversation during the interval of the 82nd Awards ceremony has been overanalyzed, dramatized and made a mountain out of a mole hill out of, some social media users’ attention was in the completely wrong place when it came to Demi Moore’s evening, too.

Rather than focusing on Moore’s epic win for her role in The Substance marking her first award during her 45 years in the industry, some were more preoccupied by her apparent interaction – or rather lack of – with Kylie Jenner.

After receiving her award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Musical or Comedy, Moore was recorded going into the crowd and approaching a table where the likes of Elle Fanning, Jenner and Timothée Chalamet were sat.

Some social media users analyzed the recording and pointed out that Moore seemed to speak to those either side of Jenner but not the member of the Kardashian-Jenner family herself, with some viewers questioning whether Moore had ‘ignored’ the reality star.

Thankfully, the star’s youngest daughter Tallulah – who she shares with ex-husband Bruce Willis – has taken to Instagram to nip any speculation ‘straight in the bud’.

In a post shared to her story, Tallulah shared an article questioning whether Moore ‘snubbed’ Jenner, adding a caption addressing it.

She wrote: “Hi @everyone but really, press, NIPPING THIS STRAIGHT IN THE BUD. We spent New Year’s with Elle, so connecting with her after a win was a very organic thing to do, this angel was in total shock and delight and moving throughout a warm room of well wishers.

“There was no snub of any sort, had she seen KJ wanting to congratulate her, she would have fully given her the time and space.

“Literally, just give it all a break and let a gal enjoy her accomplishments!”

*Mic drop*

And what an accomplishment the award is for Moore, who gave an incredibly poignant acceptance speech after receiving the Golden Globe.

The Ghost actor said: “Thirty years ago, I had a producer tell me that I was a popcorn actress, and at that time, I made that mean that this [award] wasn’t something that I was allowed to have.

“[It meant] that I could do movies that were successful and that made a lot of money but that I couldn’t be acknowledged, and I believed that.

“That corroded me over time, to the point where I thought a few years ago that maybe this was it, maybe I was complete, maybe I had already done what I was supposed to do.”

However, when the ‘absolutely bonkers script’ for The Substance came across her desk, Moore said she felt like it was the universe telling her she wasn’t ‘done’.

She resolved: “I’ll just leave you with one thing that I think this movie is imparting. In those moments when we don’t think we’re smart enough or pretty enough or skinny enough or successful enough or basically just not enough – I had a woman say to me, just know, you will never be enough, but you can know the value of your worth if you just put down the measuring stick.

“So today I celebrate this as a marker of my wholeness and of the love that is driving me and for the gift of doing something I love and being reminded that I do belong.”

Savawna Bowen has been charged with one count of felony child neglect

Warning: This article contains discussion of child abuse which some readers may find distressing.

Authorities have revealed the horrifying search history of a mother arrested on suspicion of child neglect.

On January 3, Savawna Bowen and Daquan White from Oklahoma, US, were arrested in connection to the death of their four-month-old son nearly a year prior on January 11, 2024.

Bowen was charged with one count of felony child neglect, and White faces charges of child abuse and murder. Authorities are accusing Bowen of knowing her child was injured and failing to seek medical treatment soon enough, citing her alleged online search history.

Bowen reportedly left her children – a two-year-old and the four-month-old – in White’s care while visiting her boyfriend, an affidavit obtained by KOTV and cited by Law & Crime states.

When she returned on January 3, it’s alleged the 23-year-old noticed a red mark on her youngest child’s leg and when she questioned White about it, he said he’d picked the baby up and heard a ‘popping sound’.

Despite this, Bowen reportedly left her children in his care again and went to see friends, returning back eight hours later to find the four-month-old crying.

White reportedly admitted to putting his fingers in the child’s mouth and pressing down to stop him from crying, the affidavit claims.

It wasn’t until several days later Bowen took the four-month-old to the emergency room, and police later allegedly discovered an alarming search history on Bowen’s device.

On January 3, Bowen reportedly searched online for ‘popped leg’. The following day, she also is said to have searched for ‘baby’s femur is sticking out’, and on January 7, she allegedly searched for ‘baby not able to move mouth’ and ‘mouth swollen’.

On January 8, Bowen then took the four-month-old to hospital. It seems, unfortunately, this came too late for the boy, as police report the child was ascertained as having a broken femur, broken ribs, a broken jaw, and severe brain injury, and passed away on January 11.

Bowen has been posted on a $10,000 bail and remains in Tulsa County Jail.

If you’ve been affected by any of these issues or want to speak to someone in confidence regarding the welfare of a child, the Childhelp USA National Child Abuse Hotline (1-800-4-A-CHILD (1-800-422-4453) operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and receives calls from throughout the United States, Canada, US Virgin Islands, Guam and Puerto Rico.

Arrest made after teen missing for 26 days was found alive on boat by father

14-year-old Emmarae Gervasi was found on January 3

A man has been arrested in relation to the disappearance of a 14-year-old girl.

Emmarae Gervasi went missing on December 9, 2024, and wasn’t found until 26 days later.

By means of a miracle, the teenager’s father located her with the help of local law enforcement and anonymous tip-offs.

Emmarae was found safe on a boat in Islip, just over 10 miles from her home in East Patchogue, New York.

On the day of her disappearance, 14-year-old Emmarae had gone to retrieve some items from a car parked up outside of her house.

She was then seen getting into another vehicle without her shoes or jacket in the rain.

The following day, CCTV footage showed Emmarae knocking on doors in at a Bohemia motel.

Speaking to News 12 after eventually locating Emmarae almost a month later, her father, Frank Gervasi, said it was a ‘gift from God’.

“It was 26 days of hell seeing her alive in my arms,” he said of the moment they were reunited.

“It was a gift from God. I can’t describe the feeling I had when I grabbed her.”

Now a man has been arrested in connection to Emmarae’s disappearance and has been charged with rape, child endangerment, and kidnap, The Patch reports.

Speaking to the publication, Defense attorney,Danielle Marie Papa, of Hauppauge, said that online court records show that Francis Buckheit has been arrested and is being held without bail.

He’s said to have entered a non-guilty plea, which was filed on Monday (January 6).

As per The Patch, Buckheit is next due in court on Wednesday (January 8).

UNILAD has approached the Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney’s office for comment.

In light of an anonymous tip helping locate Emmarae, her father took to social media to thank people for their help.

“I’d like to thank the community for all the support you gave us,” Frank penned the day after Emmarae was found.

“Posting all the videos, pushing all the content, handing out flyers, donating your time to look for my missing girl. It is those things that are going to help bring other kids home.”

In regards to the person who tipped him off to Emmarae being on a boat in Islip, he said: “I want to thank that person for coming forward and giving me information about my daughter. The phone call that I received was that she was on a boat in Islip. I followed it up on my own and I went down there to check.

“I bust into the boat and recovered my daughter. She has been saved and is alive. I believe it was persistency that helped bring her home.”

Emmarae’s said to have been taken to hospital to be checked over after being found last week.

This year’s luxury gift bags went to all nominees and presenters at the Golden Globes

Some celebrities may have forgotten to read the small print when it came to their $1 million Golden Globe gift bags.

The Golden Globes on Sunday night (January 5) marked the first major awards night of the season, and saw the likes of Demi Moore, Kieran Culkin and Zoe Saldaña win their respective categories.

However, it wasn’t a total loss for the nominees that didn’t end up taking home an award as they, the winners and award presenters such as Vin Diesel will all have been gifted a jaw-dropping $1 million goody bag.

Quite the commiseration present, if you ask me.

The contents of the bags were curated by lifestyle publication Robb Report.

All 100 people who were eligible for the gift bag will have received:

  • Five-day luxury yacht charter throughout the Coral Triangle in Indonesia ($60,000)
  • One-night stay in a Beverly Hills suite ($1,500)
  • Five-night stay in a Grand Cayman resort ($55,000)
  • Beau Domaine The Fluid Cream ($209)
  • A choice of decadent organic-linen or cotton sateen sheets ($572 – $1,392)
  • A cutting-edge LED Light Therapy Face Mask Series 2 ($469)
  • Vitamin C Serum and COQ10 ($98)
  • A kit of flowery skin-care essentials ($290)
  • A bottle of The Hearach Single Malt Scotch Whisky and/or Isle of Harris Gin ($90 and $150)

Now, for any of you who could be bothered to do the math, you’ll know that these items don’t all add up to be a million dollars-worth of gifts, and that’s because some of the most luxury items were only available to a certain number of celebrities.

50 of the celebs could get their hands on a trip to the Maldives (JOALI BEING)

50 of the celebs could get their hands on a trip to the Maldives (JOALI BEING)

For example, a private flight and stay in Finland to see the Northern Lights worth $48,000 was only available to one recipient, and only nine people could go on the three-night stay in a beachfront villa in Turks and Caicos (worth over $500,000).

With the limited availability in mind, if a celebrity such as Ralph Fiennes – who was up for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama on Sunday night for Conclave – wanted the exclusive trip to Finland, he’d have to be the first person of the 100 eligible for the trip to put himself forward for it.

The same ‘first come, first served’ rule reportedly applied to the other freebies available to only a specific number of Hollywood stars, says The Guardian.

Personally I’d have been fighting tooth and nail for the three-night stay in a six-bedroom Caribbean estate villa…
