Kendrick Lamar took to the stage to give us an eventful Super Bowl halftime show, and people think they’ve deciphered what it was about.

The Compton-born rapper electrified the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans with a powerful set, and there was lots to unpack.

One of the biggest shocks of the night came when tennis legend Serena Williams joined Lamar’s show. Fans quickly speculated about the significance of her presence.

A Twitter user pointed to a moment from Williams’ past, writing: “For those of y’all who weren’t outside, the media tore Serena to shreds for crip walking at Wimbledon.

“Her coming back to do a dance that references a culture she’s actually a part of, during a live performance criticizing someone for being a culture vulture is chef’s kiss.”

It also fuelled the beef between Kendrick and Drake due to Serena being an ex-girlfriend of the latter.

Drake recently filed a defamation lawsuit against his own record label, Universal Music Group, over the release of Not Like Us – a song widely seen as a diss track.

Though Kendrick was not directly named in the lawsuit, Universal responded, stating: “Not only are these claims untrue, but the notion that we would seek to harm the reputation of any artist – let alone Drake – is illogical.”

Some fans believe Kendrick alluded to the ongoing feud during his Super Bowl set.

“Kendrick with the a minor necklace is next level trolling and shithousery. I’m here for it,” one user posted.

Adding to the layers of symbolism, actor Samuel L. Jackson opened the halftime show dressed as Uncle Sam, declaring: “Salutations, it’s your uncle… Sam. And this is the great American game.”

One social media user broke down the potential meaning behind the choice, stating: “Uncle Sam dates back to the War of 1812, when slavery was still rampant & continued being a symbol of ‘Patriotism’ (Trump calls Americans ‘patriots’ which many feel is code) that people felt perpetuated the marginalization of Black People. Tonight, Uncle Sam was Black.

“America as it was portrayed on that stage was Black, during a time where diversity is actively being legally stripped away in many forms in this country. Kendrick Lamar sent a strong message right in front of the President that we built this country, no matter what you & yours may think. That is why this performance was powerful.”

Despite delivering a historic halftime show, Lamar won’t receive direct payment from the NFL. Like past Super Bowl headliners, he performed for free, with the league covering production costs. Instead, the real value comes from the global exposure, which typically translates into skyrocketing music sales and streaming numbers.

Past Super Bowl performers have seen massive benefits from their appearances:

  • Rihanna’s Spotify streams surged by 640% after her 2023 halftime show, earning an estimated $88.3 million in media impact value within 12 hours.
  • Lady Gaga’s 2017 performance boosted her album and song sales by 1,000%.
  • Jennifer Lopez gained 2.3 million new Instagram followers after her 2020 Super Bowl appearance.

Some artists have even invested their own money to elevate their performances – The Weeknd reportedly spent $7 million on his 2021 show, while Dr. Dre did the same in 2022.

Neal McDonough has revealed that he refuses to engage in any intimate scenes on-screen, even going as far as to say he won’t kiss anyone other than his wife.

The 58-year-old actor, best known for his roles in Band of Brothers and Desperate Housewives, has opened up about his unwavering commitment to his wife, Ruve Robertson – who is also the mother of his five kids.

For most actors, romantic scenes – including on-screen kisses – are just part of the job, but for McDonough, his lips belong to one woman only.

In an interview with Closer Weekly, the actor made his stance clear, sharing: “I won’t kiss any other woman because these lips are meant for one woman.”

The Homestead star’s personal rules have led him to turn down roles that require romantic scenes, and it hasn’t always been easy as he’s lost major opportunities because of it.

According to Page Six, the dad-of-five recalled a specific incident in 2010 when he lost an estimated $1 million gig on the set of ABC TV’s Scoundrels due to his refusal to participate in intimate scenes with actress Virginia Madsen.

He recounted the fallout, describing it as “horrible,” and adding: “After that, I couldn’t get a job because everybody thought I was this religious zealot. I am very religious. I put God and family first, and me second. That’s what I live by. It was hard for a few years.”

“But I was not going to lose the fight. And it worked. My career has been phenomenal,” he said.

But, despite the challenges, McDonough’s career has thrived, and he has taken on various roles that align with his values.

When he was cast as the husband of Nicollette Sheridan’s character on Desperate Housewives, he had a direct conversation with the show’s creator, Marc Cherry.

“I’m sure you know, but I won’t kiss anybody,” he told Cherry. Rather than pushing back, Cherry embraced the challenge: “All right, I’m just going to have to write better,” and the two went on to have a successful working relationship.

Beyond Hollywood, McDonough’s devotion to his wife is just as strong. He’s been married to Robertson – a former bikini model from South Africa – since 2003.

Their love story began on St. Patrick’s Day in 2001 when they quite literally bumped into each other on a London street.

“We literally bumped into each other on the street, locked eyes, and that was it,” McDonough recalled.”The next morning, I called the woman I was dating at the time and said, ‘I’m sorry, it’s not going to work out with us anymore—I just met the woman I’m going to marry.'”

Elsewhere in the interview, McDonough revealed that there was a time he nearly walked away from Hollywood altogether.

The Boomtown actor shared that before landing Band of Brothers, he was ready to quit acting and work at his parent’s motel – until one unexpected call changed everything.

“I was about to quit Hollywood when I got a call from Steven Spielberg. He wanted to see me for Band of Brothers, and it was off to the races,” he revealed.

Since then, McDonough has built a successful career on his own terms.

The haunting audio of the Titan submersible’s catastrophic implosion has been made public.

The Titan submersible disaster was one of the most horrific tragedies in deep-sea exploration.

On June 18, 2023, the OceanGate vessel set off on a dive to the Titanic wreck site with five passengers. Less than two hours into the descent, the sub lost communication with its mothership, sparking a frantic, massive four-day search.

Hopes of a rescue were shattered when debris from the Titan was discovered on the ocean floor – which confirmed that the sub had imploded under immense pressure and instantly killed everyone on board.

Now, for the first time, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) has released a chilling 20-second audio clip of the moment the doomed sub was destroyed.

The recording, published on Friday, captures the exact moment the Titan buckled under the crushing weight of the deep sea, just before reaching the Titanic wreck site in the North Atlantic.

It begins with staticky white noise, followed by a loud boom and reverb, before fading back into static.

The eerie recording was picked up by a moored passive acoustic recorder located about 900 miles away from the site of the disaster.

The U.S. Coast Guard later confirmed that the clip reveals “the suspected acoustic signature of the Titan submersible implosion”.

The ill-fated dive killed Stockton Rush, co-founder and CEO of OceanGate; Hamish Harding, a UK billionaire; Paul-Henry Nargeolet, a renowned French Titanic expert; and Shahzada Dawood, a wealthy Pakistani businessman, and his 19-year-old son, Suleman Dawood.

Following the tragedy, a Coast Guard investigation revealed that the Titan had multiple structural flaws and safety risks that had never been independently reviewed before embarking on its deep-sea mission.

Unlike other deep-diving vessels, the sub did not meet standard safety certifications, raising serious concerns about the company’s approach to extreme-depth exploration.

According to Metro, Karl Stanley, a submersible pilot and designer of the Roatan Institute of Deepsea Exploration, claimed at a court hearing that Stockton Rush was more concerned with leaving “his mark on history” than the safety of himself and the five passengers.

“He knew that eventually, it was going to end like this, and he wasn’t going to be held accountable, but he was going to be the most famous of all his famous relatives,” he said.

Stanley revealed that he emailed the OceanGate CEO with safety concerns on several occasions but was repeatedly dismissed.

“I felt also this exchange of emails strained our relationship from what it had been previously. I felt like I pushed things as far as I could without him telling me to shut up and never talk to him again,” he added.

On Tuesday (February 11), the 53-year-old tech mogul attended President Donald Trump’s Oval Office press conference at the White House with his four-year-old son, X Æ A-Xii.

Musk’s son, whose name is pronounced ‘X Ash A Twelve’, was seen picking his nose, mimicking his father, and whispering to Trump while standing near the Resolute Desk.

Despite his antics, the child watched on as the 78-year-old officially granted his father Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) broader powers to reshape the federal government.

The executive order, signed in real time, requires agencies to cooperate with Musk’s DOGE division, which has already made headlines for slashing nearly $1 billion in US Department of Education contracts, as revealed in an X post.

This marks the second time the billionaire has brought Lil X into the political spotlight – the first being Trump’s pre-inauguration victory rally on January 19, where the toddler jumped around on stage wearing a red sweater.

The Space X founder’s ex-partner, Grimes, who shares Lil X, Exa Dark Sideræl, and Techno Mechanicus with, was clearly unhappy about their four-year-old son’s surprise public appearance.

The 36-year-old musician took to social media to blast Musk a fan informed her of Lil X’s unexpected cameo at the event.

The user had initially praised the child’s behavior, posting: “Lil X was very polite today!… You raised him well… He was so cute when he told DJT ‘Please forgive me, I need to pee.'”

Grimes responded with concern: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

This isn’t the first time the ‘Genesis’ musician, whose real name is Claire Boucher, has publically criticized Musk on the social media platform.

Earlier this year, a user called Grimes out for not intervening when Musk publicly showcased their son, to which she openly expressed her frustration.

“I have made it clear I do not approve of that in every conceivable way I know I am. I am desperate to solve it. It is a personal tragedy to me. But currently, I don’t know how to do that,” she wrote on January 10.

While she’s not spoken too much about Musk’s role on Trump’s team, she addressed his “Nazi gesture” by mentioning that she was “happy to denounce Nazi-ism,” and saying that she needed to think “diplomatically” before saying anything further.

Just before commenting on Lil X’s Oval Office appearance, Grimes had praised New York Times journalist Ezra Klein on the social media platform.

She called him a “national treasure” for a recent podcast analyzing Trump’s first weeks back in office and the rise of MAGA.

“Ezra Klein is a national treasure. Brings a right-wing guy on with an opposing viewpoint and they calmly come to a rough consensus analysis of the current situation. Politics desperately needs more of this vibe right now, for everyone’s sanity,” she wrote.

Every US secret Donald Trump is going to declassify including Jeffrey Epstein’s ‘little black book’

Every US secret Donald Trump is going to declassify including Jeffrey Epstein's 'little black book'

From the assassination of JFK to the origin of Covid-19, Trump says he will reveal secrets we all want the answers to

President Donald Trump has acted fast after returning to the White House this year following on from his election win over former Vice President Kamala Harris.

And while a fair share of his policies and proposals have been somewhat controversial, as well as his reaction to tragic events under his second presidency, there is a universal sense of anticipation when it comes to one thing the 47th POTUS has promised.

It all comes down to Trump’s dedication to revealing state secrets that have not been released to the public. Some of these have remained classified secrets for decades, dating back to the 1960s.

Anna Paulina Luna is a member of the US Congress and following her appointment by President Trump to lead the declassification force, here is a run down of the biggest secrets we could soon know.

Jeffrey Epstein and his ‘client list’

Disgraced sex offender Jeffrey Epstein died at the age of 66.

This was while he was in prison serving sentences relating to allegations of sexually abusing children and sex trafficking minors. His suicide came while he was set to face trial over new child trafficking charges.

Since his death, conversation about just who he was supplying these heinous services to have been the topic of endless conversation.

Now, under Trump, Epstein’s so-called ‘client list’ will be revealed after being declassified by the federal government.

Trump himself was a known associate of Epstein before his sexual offence charges came to light. There is zero suggestion of any wrongdoing by the President.

Marsha Blackburn, a Republican senator for Tennessee, said: “I have been working on this for years, trying to get those records of who flew on Epstein’s plane and who helped him build this international human trafficking, sex trafficking ring.”

Kash Patel, Trump’s nominee for FBI director, said: “Child sex trafficking has no place in the United States of America, and I will do everything, if confirmed as FBI director, to make sure the American public knows the full weight of what happened in the past and how we are going to countermand missing children and exploited children going forward.”

Assassination of JFK

The assassination of President John F Kennedy sent shockwaves through America and the wider world when the POTUS was shot in the head and killed while in Dallas.

Happening back in 1963, it has arguably become the most famous conspiracy theory of all time despite the FBI ruling that Lee Harvey Oswald shot and killed the President himself from the a sixth-floor window of the Texas School Book Depository.

A US Marine veteran, Oswald said he was framed for the murder. He never faced trial, with 24-year-old murdered on live television in the basement of Dallas Police Headquarters. And it Oswald’s plea of innocence, combined with theories of FBI or CIA involvement, that has led to decades of conspiracy build up on the case.

Now, Trump could end that for good by releasing the JFK files to the public. Speaking to Joe Rogan before his re-election, Trump said: “I did partially open [the files]. I think I’ve opened 50 percent but I was asked not to do it, and I thought that was a reasonable ask.

“But now I’m going to do it I’m going to do it very soon there’s a lot of interest in it.”

Trump has appointed JFK’s nephew, Robert F Kennedy Jr (RFK Jr) as his nominee for Secretary of Health and Human Services.

Covid-19 origins

While fresh in our minds despite attempts to forget about those brutal years spent in lockdown and fighting the virus before vaccines were created, talk continues around where Covid-19 came from.

The first outbreak happened in Wuhan, China, with it very quickly spreading around the world.

Trump previously called it the ‘Chinese virus’, angering officials in Beijing. And despite US national intelligence saying in 2020 there was no evidence of it originating from a Chinese laboratory, Trump stood by this theory.

Former FBI director Christopher Wray echoed Trump in 2024, saying it ‘most likely’ originated from a ‘Chinese government-controlled lab’. Beijing once again hit back, accusing the US of ‘political manipulation’.

Trump is now set to release the federal files on the origins of Covid-19, which should make for interesting reading.

Aliens and UFOs

Trump previously spoke to Joe Rogan about declassifying files relating to unidentified flying objects (UFOs).

“There’s a lot of interest in the people coming from space. And I know you’re interested in that. It’s never been my thing. I have to be honest. I never have been a believer,” Trump told the UFC colour commentator.

Speaking about what others have seen, though, Trump said: “I interviewed jet pilots that were solid people, perfect – great pilots, great everything. And they said, ‘We saw things, sir, that were very strange. Like, a round ball but it wasn’t a comet or a meteor’.

“It was something and it was going four times faster than an F-22, which is a very fast plane, you know. And it was round, which isn’t, in theory, a great shape.”

This one is sure to get the attention of pretty much everyone.

The attack on the Twin Towers (Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

The attack on the Twin Towers (Spencer Platt/Getty Images)

9/11 terrorist attacks

On September 11, 2011, a number of coordinated attacks were carried out on the United States by al-Qaeda, destroying the Twin Towers in New York City and flying a plane in to the Pentagon.

A total of 2,977 people lost their lives, with it changing the course of history forever and seeing the USA wage its ‘war on terror’ that has dominated global politics for the two and a half decades since.

Alongside the awful real-world consequences of the attack, 9/11 conspiracy theories have become a social phenomenon.

From controlled demolitions of the Twin Towers to the Pentagon being attacked by the US military, not a separate plane, there are what feels like countless takes on what really happened.

All major theories have been rejected by independent reviews. Now, Trump looks set to release what the Government knows about 9/11 so that the public can get the full picture from what we already know.

Elon Musk’s ex-wife Grimes made her feelings around her son’s public appearance clear

Grimes has called out her ex-husband Elon Musk after he took their four-year-old son into the White House.

The SpaceX and Tesla CEO just can’t seem to stay out of the headlines at the moment.

Musk was the centre of controversy at President Donald Trump’s inauguration last month, as he was seen doing a ‘Nazi gesture’ up on stage, which Grimes also commented on.

The South African-born tech entrepreneur has been a huge supporter of the 47th US President, and he’s one of his closest allies, as he was part of an Oval Office press conference at the White House yesterday (11 February).

Musk wasn’t alone though, as he brought his son along.

X AE A-XII, better known as X, could be seen sitting atop Musk’s shoulders as the tech CEO was asked about the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

His son, whose name is pronounced ‘X Ash A Twelve’, could be seen looking bored and uninterested as his father answered a number of questions from reporters.

One of the questions Musk was asked about pertained to rumours that $50 million (£40.1 million) worth of condoms was being sent to Gaza in Palestine, though the reporter corrected this claim to be the Gaza Province in Mozambique.

The purpose of the move was to protect people from HIV, according to the reporter, but Musk stated that sending that many condoms anywhere wasn’t the best idea, adding: “That’s really an enormous number of condoms, if you think about it.”

While his answer garnered some laughs from the press on Tuesday, the mother of his son, Candian singer Grimes, was not happy with X’s public appearance.

Taking to social media platform X, she wrote: “He should not be in public like this. I did not see this, thank u for alerting me. But I’m glad he was polite. Sigh.”

The ‘Oblivion’ singer was responding to a post from a user that called him ‘polite’ and ‘cute’, as he told the President, ‘please forgive me, I need to pee’.

Grimes, whose real name is Claire Boucher, has so far not spoken too much about Musk’s role on Trump’s team, though she addressed his ‘Nazi gesture’ by mentioning that she was ‘happy to denounce Nazi-ism’, saying that she needed to think ‘diplomatically’ before saying anything further.

The 36-year-old previously said of Musk’s public display of their son: “I have made it very clear I do not approve of that in every conceivable way I know how,” adding that it’s a ‘personal tragedy of mine’.

Grimes also previously wrote online that she just doesn’t ‘wanna be deported haha – like literally’, when speaking about some of the new bills being put in place.

Musk and Trump were in the Oval Office on Tuesday for the President to sign an executive order aimed at scaling back the federal work force, making agencies employ ‘no more than one employee for every four employees’ that leave, report Semafor.

Trump stayed quiet as Musk answered questions from reporters for about 30 minutes.

Biggest great white shark ever recorded in Atlantic Ocean discovered off US coast

The absolute whopper of a shark is being tracked

There’s that standard list of creatures that you can pretty much guarantee people will be scared of at least one of. I’m talking spiders, snakes, rats, and, of course, sharks.

And while even the smaller sharks can be fairly creepy, it tends to be that the bigger the shark, the scarier it is.

So prepare for fear levels to be heightened as the ‘biggest great white shark’ ever recorded in the Atlantic Ocean has been discovered off the US coast.

Named ‘Contender’, the ‘powerful’ male shark is tipped as the ‘ultimate ocean warrior’. I know right, sounds like he’s about to take part in Gladiators, doesn’t he?

Contender is a whopper. (OCEARCH)

Contender is a whopper. (OCEARCH)

Global shark tracker, OCEARCH, had a first ping of Contender on 17 January off the coast of the Florida-Georgia border. And it then pinged again on Monday this week further south down the coast of Florida.

The absolute whopper measures in at 13.8 feet long and is estimated to weigh a hefty 749.79 kg.

OCEARCH say having an ‘SPOT’ tag deployed on Contender ‘will provide valuable real-time data for approximately five years’ and help to track his movements and understand his migration patterns.

It’s added that ‘important biological samples’ have also been collected, including ‘urogenital material’ which are now being analysed.

The shark tracker explained that the shark has been named in honour of Contender Boats, a long-time partner of OCEARCH, who provide boats for its research missions.

It also shared a video to Facebook as it caught Contender to track it. The caption reads: “Contender is the largest male white shark ever caught, SPOT tagged, released and now studied in the NW Atlantic white shark population!”

With the shark travelling 292 miles in 25 days, some users took issue with the shark being caught as it has been explained to be due to research purposes.

He's a big lad. (OCEARCH)

He’s a big lad. (OCEARCH)

The largest preserved female great white shark measured in at 19.1 feet in length and around 2,000 kg in weight.

Typically though, the males tend to measure in at about 11 to 13 feet and females 15 to 16 feet. A 2014 study found that the lifespan of these whoppers of the sea is estimated to be about 70 years or even longer. So this Contender could be knocking about in the waters for quite some time at its mega length and weight.

Comments on the Facebook video called the shark ‘beautiful’ and an ‘amazing creature’.

Stephen Graham branded 'one of best actors on planet' as 'physically scary' transformation turns him into beast

The new Disney series, featuring Graham as a boxer, drops later this month

When you think of some of Britain’s best acting talent, there’s plenty of names that come to mind, perhaps Ian McKellen or Judi Dench, maybe Daniel Kaluuya and Emma Thompson, or, of course, Stephen Graham.

And he might not just be one of the greatest of Brits, as Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight branded the Liverpudlian ‘one of the best actors on the planet’.

This comes as the pair team up again for the new Disney+ series, A Thousand Blows, with Graham making a ‘physically scary’ transformation to turn him into a beast for it.

Created by Knight and produced by the actor’s company with his wife Hannah Walters, Matriarch Productions, the show is inspired by true life stories in London’s East End in the 1880s.

It follows Hezekiah Moscow (Malachi Kirby) and best mate Alec Munroe (Francis Lovehall) as they arrive from Jamaica to find themselves in the criminal underbelly of the thriving bare-knuckle boxing scene. Here they come across Mary Carr (Erin Doherty), Queen of the all-female gang the Forty Elephants, and self-declared emperor of the East End boxing world, Sugar Goodson (Graham).

Releasing later this month, the star’s appearance as the boxer has already been wowing fans as he put in the ‘hard graft’ to change his body. The 51-year-old tells LADbible he ‘wanted to completely change his shape’ over the six months from the project being greenlit.

“First of all, I slimmed down, and then I bulked up. It was five meals a day, and lots of eggs, lots of chicken, lots of rice, broccoli, vegetables, vitamins, all that kind of stuff. It was tough,” he explains.

Graham ‘loved’ the process, working hard with a trainer and boxing coach to ‘try and make a brawler’. Well, bulked up he did, as trailers show him looking intimidatingly brawly as the Victorian boxer with tattoos across his chest.

“I’m only little, so I wanted to have a little bulldog kind of thing,” he adds. “So it was a cross between Mike Tyson and this Bare Knuckle fighter called Lenny McLean that we wanted to use.”

And the result was something that left his cast mates and crew stunned, with an ‘impressed’ Kirby admitting he felt ‘a little bit vulnerable’ knowing he’d have to fight Graham. While Doherty said it was ‘gorgeous’ as it’s a ‘physical representation’ of the impressive work Graham normally applies ‘internally’.

For creator Knight, it was ‘unbelievable’ to see but also a little bit ‘annoying’.

“You have to look at yourself like, ‘therefore, I could do that possibly, if I committed myself’,” he jokes. “And it makes you feel like ‘Why am I not doing that?’”

The writer says Graham produced a transformation that made him ‘scary’ but that also helped the storyline.

“The scariness physically is what is tempered by the emotion that he shows,” Knight explains. “He’s such a great actor that it means I was able to delay his appearance on screen for quite a long time, knowing that when we finally reach that destination, it won’t be a let-down, it won’t be disappointing.”

It’s Graham’s abilities as an actor that’s a key reason why Knight continues to work with him.

“He’s one of the best actors on the planet, to start with,” he says. “He’s great person, great person to work with. When he’s on a project, everybody else becomes better because they know they have to bring their best performance.”

With Graham having appeared in Knight’s Peaky Blinders series and set to appear in the film, the writer therefore names A Thousand Blows ‘a dream project’.

Seth Rogen finally responds to James Franco revealing the end of their friendship after 20 years

Franco previously revealed the pair no longer talk

Seth Rogen has responded after James Franco revealed that the pair’s friendship was truly ‘over’ after 20 years.

The stars were once the duo that made up many fans’ favourite comedy bromance, having worked together on the likes of The Interview, This Is the End and Pineapple Express.

However, after Franco faced accusations of sexual misconduct back in 2018, Rogen publicly cut himself off from the actor. And in a Variety interview towards the end of last year, the disgraced star revealed the pair no longer talk.

At the time of the allegations, Franco described them as ‘not accurate’ but added he didn’t want to ‘shut down’ those who ‘didn’t have a voice’.

The American agreed to pay out $2.23 million (£1.67 million) to settle a lawsuit brought by two former students of his now-defunct film school, Studio 4.

Following that, Franco was largely out of the spotlight and told Variety he had ‘changed his whole way of life’ before going into the changes of his relationship with Rogen.

“I haven’t talked to Seth,” the 127 Hours star said. “I love Seth, we had 20 great years together, but I guess it’s over. And not for lack of trying. I’ve told him how much he’s meant to me.”

Published yesterday (11 February), Rogen was asked in an Esquire profile how it felt ‘to have something so personal become so public’.

According to interviewer David Holmes, the 42-year-old was ‘clearly not surprised to get the question’ but was ‘just as clearly not happy about it’.

Referring to Franco’s comments, Rogen said: “Honestly, I absorb so little media that it really wasn’t on my radar.” And Holmes added: “That is all he wants to say about that.”

Well, fair enough to be honest. When Franco’s Variety interview went live, he was slammed as people accused him of ‘trying to make Seth look like the villain’.

As others added that ‘Seth did the right thing’ by ‘cutting off all ties’.

But while Franco had faced particularly serious allegations that were settled by the suit, there were still fans who called the pair’s partnership the ‘end of an era’ as one even claimed: “Real friends don’t drop you when you’re down.”

Rogen did also publicly speak out in 2021 when he told the Sunday Times about the stance he was taking on Franco.

“What I can say is that I despise abuse and harassment and I would never cover or conceal the actions of someone doing it, or knowingly put someone in a situation where they were around someone like that.” he said.

“I look back to that interview in 2018 where I comment that I would keep working with James, and the truth is that I have not and I do not plan to right now.

“I can say it, um, you know, it has changed many things in our relationship and our dynamic.”

Liam Payne’s ex-fiancée has spoken out about the death of the singer for the first time

Maya Henry and the former One Direction star officially started dating in August 2019 before he proposed that November. The pair then broke up in May 2022, and the singer dated Kate Cassidy until his sudden death in October 2024.

In a written statement for Rolling Stone Magazine, the 25-year-old said while she loved Payne ‘deeply’, he did things that ‘hurt’ her in ways she’ll ‘never fully understand’ and continued to do so after their split.

On 6 October, 2024, a week-and-a-half before the singer’s death, Henry shared a TikTok alleging Payne had been harassing her, her family and her friends. This was followed by her lawyer issuing a cease-and-desist order to the 31-year-old.

No public comment came on this from Payne before his death, which was caused by ‘polytrauma’ as he fell from the third-floor balcony of the Casa Sur Hotel in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 16 October 2024.

Henry explained that it was ‘the drug use and addictions’ that initially tore the pair apart.

“On drugs, he became someone unrecognisable — so different from his sober self,” she wrote. “I kept hoping each incident would be a wake-up call for him to get help, but it never was.”

The model said she convinced herself she ‘could fix things’ and believed ‘he would change’.

“I put myself in situations that were unsafe and harmful, ignoring every red flag because I didn’t want to give up on him,” she wrote. “I let myself believe that love could be stronger than addiction, that if I endured enough, if I sacrificed enough, he would see how much I cared and finally choose a different path.

“But that’s not how addiction works. No matter how much I tried to save him, I was drowning in the process.”

Henry went on to say that ‘he was struggling’ with parts of himself and it wasn’t the ‘betrayals or addiction’ that broke them up.

“It was the realisation that I had spent years in something that was never what I thought it was. I don’t fault him for his struggles,” she said.

She added that she ‘stood by him in his darkest moments’ and when it was over, she was ‘left with nothing but emptiness’.

Henry said: “I wasn’t just heartbroken; I felt defrauded, as so many women in my position would. But what I do know is this: It wasn’t about me or anything I did. It was about struggles beyond my control. And in the end, I had to choose myself. I had to walk away, no matter how much it hurt, because staying in his world meant losing myself.”

After Payne’s death, she says what hurts the most is she is ‘left with the aftermath of his actions that continue to unfold’.

“As I’ve uncovered the extent of his non-consensual image sharing — images he acquired during our engagement and shared without my knowledge or consent — I’m faced with the complexity of grieving for someone I cared so deeply about despite the pain they have caused me,” Henry concluded.
