Identical twins shared huge impact after one used botox for 20 years and other didn’t

Botox can have long lasting impacts

A set of identical twins shared the huge impact after just one of them used Botox for 20 years.

The pair of sisters were part of a scientific study that saw one of them undergoing a series of injections across the two decades. Known medically as botulinum toxin, Botox is a prescription drug that can also be used for cosmetic procedures.

It might get a bit of bad rep from those who don’t quite understand what it is (or aren’t sure of the differences between plastic surgery, Botox and filler) but it can make a big difference to people’s lives.

As well as reducing wrinkles and fine lines, the injections can be used to treat thing like muscle stiffness and spasms, migraines and excessive sweating. And those physical differences can be very distinct – as a doctor found when she injected only one half of her face.

This is what the twins looked like at the start of the study (American Medical Association)

The set of twins were followed for nearly two decades, with the ‘Botox twin’ undergoing injections in her forehead and between her eyebrows two to three times a year since the age of 25.

She also had some injections in her crow’s feet (those little lines that form on the outer corners of the eyes).

With Dr William Binder being behind the injections, the first resulting photos were taken in 2006, when the women were 38. And they showed that the Botox twin had more smoothness on her skin with less wrinkles compared to her sister’s more prominent crow’s feet when she smiled as well as lines on her forehead.

But a much bigger visible difference came six years later in a follow-up.

The non-Botox twin had a noticeably wider jaw, as well as a puffier visage, though it was unknown if this was related to the prescription drug.

Both women stated during that that they used sunscreen which helps to eliminate the possibility of wrinkles being caused by exposure to the sun’s UV rays over long periods of time.

It’s also noted that they both had healthy lifestyles and hadn’t been using retinols for their wrinkles but they did live in different countries.

The non-Botox woman lived in Munich while her twin lived in Los Angeles with a higher UV index.

Dr Binder wrote in the study that long-term Botox treatment can help to prevent the development of wrinkles, ‘not only by inhibiting the patient’s ability to contract the target muscle but also perhaps through behavioural modification’.

The study concluded: “Long-term treatment with Botox can prevent the development of imprinted facial lines that are visible at rest. Botox treatment can also reduce crow’s feet.

“Treatment is well tolerated, with no adverse events reported during 13 years of regular treatment in this study.”

Dr Bita Farrell decided to be a bit of a ‘lab rat’ to show just how much difference Botox can make.

With over 20 years of injecting experience, the board-certified physician injected the lower muscles on the right side of her face.

Dr Farrell explained she had targeted the DAO muscle, which pulls down the corners of the mouth, and the platysma muscle, which contributes to facial expressions and mouth movements.

“Now for you, two weeks later, I present my results as I try and contract my lower face muscles,” the California-based content creator told social media users.

She could clearly be seen struggling to get any movement out of the right side of her face, while the left side was far more expressive.

“You can see that the platysma muscle on this [left] side is really contracting and pulling my jawline down, and so is my DAO, pulling the corner of my mouth down,” Dr Farrell said.

Referring to her right side, which she injected with Botox a fortnight earlier, she added: “I’m really trying to pull this side!”

Speaking of the difference between each side, she said of the injected area: “See that this cheek rides a bit higher, this nasal labial fold seems softer and so does my shadow at the marionette on this side.”

She explained just how this has an impact: “Muscles of the face either pull up or pull down. When the muscles that pull the lower face down (platysma and DAO) are injected and relaxed with a Neuromodulator such as Botox, the muscle that pulls the mid face up (zygomaticus or cheek muscle) dominates and pulls the face up!

“This can help reduce the appearance of marionette lines, jowls, frown (rbf, or sad face), and the nasolabial folds. It also lifts the neck and can sharpen the jawline and make the cheeks appear a bit fuller and more lifted.”

The woman’s mom is calling for the law to be changed.

Family gives update on baby after brain dead woman was kept alive to give birth due to abortion law

Family gives update on baby after brain dead woman was kept alive to give birth due to abortion law

The woman’s mother has previously described how ‘torturous’ it was to watch her daughter on life support

The mother of Adriana Smith, an Atlanta woman who was declared brain dead whilst pregnant, has given an update on the newborn months after its mother’s life support was switched off.

Smith was a registered nurse and mom-to-be when she suffered a medical emergency in February 2025. Doctors at Emory University Hospital later declared her brain-dead.

However, the experts felt they were legally obligated to keep Smith on life support after she was found to be around nine weeks pregnant.

This was due to the so-called ‘heartbeat bill’ that Gov. Brian Kemp signed into law in 2019 to prevent abortions from being performed once fetal cardiac activity is detected, which typically occurs at about six weeks’ gestation.

Smith eventually gave birth to a son, and her life support was shut off four days later, on June 17.

In a new update, the woman’s family have said that the newborn continues to fight for his life.

According to reports, the child, who has since been named Chance, weighed just 1 lb. 13 oz. when he was born via emergency cesarean section on June 13.

Smith’s mother, April Newkirk, has recently revealed that Chance now weighs under 5lbs.

It’s understood he will potentially be able to leave medical care at the end of September or at the beginning of October.

“His weight is gradually picking up, but the breathing is what we’re concerned with,” Newkirk said on Wednesday (August 27), as reported by PEOPLE magazine.

“So, he’s making a little bit of progress, but still some things to do.”

Newkirk previously said that the family ‘just want prayers’ for Chance so he can become healthy and strong.

Newkirk has said it has been ‘hard’ to deal with Smith’s death over the last couple of months.

She confessed to 11Alive: “Something’s been taken away from us, it’s hard. You know, I think about her every day, all the time.

The bereaved mother has previously been vocal regarding the decision to keep her child alive throughout her pregnancy, remarking it was ‘torture’ to watch her suffer.

“She’s been breathing through machines for more than 90 days,” she once explained.

“It’s torture for me. I see my daughter breathing, but she’s not there. And her son — I bring him to see her.”

Why was Adriana Smith kept alive?

The Life Act, ushered in following the 2022 overturn of Roe v. Wade, states that ‘no abortion shall be performed’ in the state of Georgia six weeks after gestation.

The legislation only becomes void if the pregnant woman suffers ‘a medical emergency or medically futile pregnancy’.

Despite suffering her own medical emergency, doctors at Emory University Hospital believed switching off Smith’s life support would violate these laws.

They therefore kept the woman alive until her baby was born, causing experts and Smiths’ family to debate the ethical implications of the heartbeat bill.

“I want them to know that this didn’t have to happen,” said Newkirk of the medical experts’ decision.

“I want them to know that the law needs to be changed. It doesn’t need to be altered. It doesn’t need to be in effect at all. Women have rights; it’s their body,” she added.

Previously, Emory Healthcare has said that its staff makes medical recommendations for patients using many factors.

“The top priorities at Emory Healthcare continue to be the safety and wellbeing of the patients and families we serve,” a spokesperson told ABC News.

“Emory Healthcare uses consensus from clinical experts, medical literature and legal guidance to support our providers as they make medical recommendations.

“Emory Healthcare is legally required to maintain the confidentiality of the protected health information of our patients, which is why we are unable to comment on individual matters and circumstances.”

They’ve said he was trapped in the 5,000-degree blaze.

Family sues Elon Musk’s Tesla after alleging Cybertruck owner’s bones disintegrated in inferno after crash

Michael Sheehan, 47, became trapped inside his Cybertruck when the battery burst into flames

The family of a man who died in a Tesla vehicle are suing Elon Musk’s company after he was allegedly trapped in an inferno.

Michael Sheehan, 47, became trapped inside his Cybertruck when the battery burst into flames. His family allege that the 5,000 degree inferno caused his bones to disintegrate.

Now, a wrongful death lawsuit has been filed by Sheehan’s family following his tragic passing.

The incident took place when Sheehan’s vehicle swerved off the road and hit a culvert in Texas.

It’s reported that the vehicle’s ‘hyper volatile’ battery system went into ‘thermal runaway’, which is a chain reaction of short-circuits ultimately resulting in uncontrollable temperature escalation.

“He was eight inches shorter in length than he was before he burned,” attorney S. Scott West told The Independent. “That’s thermal fracture.”

The suit claims the Tesla vehicle was ‘defectively designed’ and should not have ‘trapped’ Sheehan inside.

It also claims that the truck’s electronic doors are difficult to open once the power is cut, adding that the manual handles are ‘unreasonably difficult to locate in an emergency’.

“This was a single-vehicle crash,” the petition states.

“The crash forces were survivable… except for the fire, ergonomic shortcomings, and deficient crashworthiness.”

West added: “It is the most excruciating and longest torture of any death. Whether it’s steam or fire or electrical, the nerves are literally exposed to everything.

“It’s horrific. If you’ve ever been to a hospital burn unit, you’ll hear patients begging the doctors to let them die because the pain is so bad.

“Michael was a Mensa-level guy, very, very smart.

“But when Tesla delivered this [Cybertruck] to him, the instructions they gave him were woefully inadequate to handle a situation like this.”

In an obituary for Sheehan, he is remembered as a ‘brilliant’ man.

It reads: “Michael was absolutely brilliant, and admired by many. He had an amazing career in healthcare, progressing from a RN, to RNFA, and FNP. The majority of his career was the care of patients in Aortic Surgery and Aortic Reconstruction, Urology, and Cardiothoracic Transplantation and Circulatory Support.

“He was an excellent cook. He loved cooking for his wife and friends. There wasn’t a recipe he wouldn’t attempt, and he became quite a food critic. He had a love for animals, and they were drawn to his gentle spirit.

“Michael enjoyed hiking, snow boarding, being around and in water, boating, camping, and Zombie movies.

“Michael was an amazing husband, son, sibling and friend. Words cannot express the deep sorrow and devastation we feel in losing him.”

These 20 Celebs Had Their Breast Implants Removed—Before And After Photos Revealed

Breast implants are practically a Hollywood accessory in our day and age, right up on the list with chihuahua dogs and green juice from Erewhon.

But while going under the knife was once considered the ultimate upgrade, a growing number of celebs are now doing a full 180 and saying bye to their implants over various problems.

Whether it’s for health reasons, body image shifts, or just a craving for something a little more natural, these stars are reclaiming their bodies, one explant at a time.

Below, we look at 20 stars who decided to flip the script on the Hollywood beauty playbook—from Victoria Beckham to Pamela Anderson.

#1

Victoria Beckham

For Victoria Beckham, breast implants reportedly became a barrier on the runway to fashion royalty. According to The House of Beckham, a juicy new biography by Tom Bower, none other than Anna Wintour herself advised Beckham to “fix” her implants if she wanted to be taken seriously in the high-fashion world.

The Vogue editor, known for her razor-sharp style instincts and even sharper tongue, is said to have made the remark during the early days of Victoria’s fashion career, suggesting that “b**b jobs and hotpants” screamed Essex, not East Side chic.

Though a Vogue spokesperson has strongly denied the claims, Beckham did have her implants removed in 2014—a move that, intentional or not, lined up with her transition from pop icon to respected designer. In a 2023 interview, Posh Spice also admitted that she regretted having had breast implants, saying, “If I’m honest, I wish I’d never [gotten implants].”

#2

Clare Crawley

For Bachelorette star Clare Crawley, getting breast implants felt like a confidence booster at first. But health problems followed soon after as Crawley began experiencing unexplained autoimmune symptoms, strange rashes, chronic inflammation, and swollen lymph nodes, all of which left doctors wondering.

“I was having crazy health problems with no answers,” Crawley shared on Instagram stories. Doctors eventually discovered elevated white blood cell counts and fluid behind her implants, making her realize just how much her body was fighting back.

Removing the implants after five challenging years was pretty upsetting, but Crawley shared that she quickly found relief. Just days after the surgery, she reported feeling “really good,” pain-free, and finally herself again.

#3

Kimberly Holland

When former Playboy model Kimberly Holland upgraded to silicone ‘gummy bear’ breast implants, she thought she was enhancing her figure. But within weeks, Holland felt like her body was “on fire,” was breaking out in mysterious viral rashes, experiencing chronic dental infections, and developing Raynaud’s disease, which left her extremities painfully cold and discolored.

After researching her bizarre symptoms, Holland stumbled upon a growing community of women describing similar experiences: breast implant illness. Determined to reclaim her health, she had her implants removed, immediately sensing relief, at least mentally.

“I didn’t want to waste any more of my time or my health,” Holland confessed in an interview with Daily Mail. “I have a son who’s a toddler, I need to be around and be healthy.”

#4

Pamela Anderson

Pamela Anderson’s famous curves defined an entire era, but the actress now admits she regrets her breast implants. Opening up in a candid interview with W Magazine, Pamela pointed directly to her chest when asked if she regretted any decisions made “in the name of beauty.”

Her reflection comes from a newfound appreciation for natural beauty and inner confidence. “I know it sounds like a cliché, but happiness has a lot to do with beauty,” she explained.

For the Baywatch star, aging gracefully means feeling calm and peaceful rather than constantly chasing youthful perfection.

#5

Chrissy Teigen

Side-by-side photos of a celebrity pre- and post-breast implant removal, in orange dress and gray blazer outfits.

Chrissy Teigen is known for keeping things real, and proving she had her breast implants removed was no exception. After some fans doubted her decision, the Cravings cookbook author took matters into her own hands, sharing a candid, and censored, behind-the-scenes photo from the surgery itself. “Trust me lol,” she jokingly captioned the snap.

Chrissy first got implants at the age of 20 to advance her swimsuit modeling career. But years later, motherhood changed her perspective. “You have babies and they fill up with milk and deflate, and now I am screwed,” she joked about her breasts in an interview with Glamour.

In June 2020, Chrissy underwent explant surgery, saying she was ready to zip her dresses comfortably and lie on her stomach again. Friends even threw her a cheeky farewell party for the implants, complete with a tombstone-themed cake reading “RIP 2006-2020.”

#6

Mena Suvari

Mena Suvari tapped into global stardom after American Beauty, but behind the scenes, she struggled with body image and self-worth, which led her to get breast implants.

As she reveals in her memoir The Great Peace, the decision was fueled by insecurity, driven by a constant need to fit external expectations rather than her own. Due to health concerns and her desire to start a family, Suvari underwent explant surgery in 2019.

“I remember waking up and seeing the implants on a side table. It was wild. I put those in there,” she told People in a 2021 interview. “I just got to this place where I’m ready to just be me,” she added.

#7

Danica Patrick

Two photos of a woman, indoors in a gym and outdoors on a beach, showcasing breast implant removal.

Having broken barriers on the track during her peak in NASCAR, racing legend Danica Patrick’s journey took a painful detour when the breast implants she got began wreaking havoc on her health.

Danica Patrick got breast implants in 2014, seeking the “whole package,” but years later, they left her battling fatigue, hair loss, hormone issues, and gut problems. After both implants hardened, she discovered she might have breast implant illness.

She had them removed in April 2022 and felt relief almost immediately. “I look more like myself again,” she shared in an interview with People.

#8

SZA

Grammy-winning star SZA learned the hard way that implants aren’t always the perk they seem. After discovering she had a staggering 53% lifetime risk of breast cancer due to her family history, SZA’s decision to get breast implants took a painful turn. The Kill Bill singer opened up on the S.H.E. MD podcast, revealing she developed severe fibrosis—a thick, painful scarring around implants—which ultimately forced her to have them removed.

“I got way too much scar tissue because my breasts are too dense, and I’m not supposed to have breast implants,” she said.

Despite warnings, she initially went ahead with surgery anyway, only to find herself in chronic pain and facing serious health complications.

#9

Crystal Hefner

For Crystal Hefner, breast implants came with a side of years of unexplained illness. The former Playboy model revealed in a Facebook post that she had her implants removed in 2016 after suffering from chronic fatigue, brain fog, pain, and thyroid issues that left her bedridden.

Initially diagnosed by doctors with Lyme disease, Crystal later discovered breast implant illness through online support groups. After her explant surgery, the relief was immediate: “My neck and shoulder pain was gone, and I could breathe much better.” Though recovery would take time, she finally felt her body was on the path to healing.

#10

Ashley Tisdale

Ashley Tisdale’s breast implants may have started as a confidence booster, but they eventually became the source of some serious health struggles. The High School Musical star got candid on Instagram, revealing she had her implants removed after suffering from a string of mysterious ailments—including gut issues, food sensitivities, and a general sense that something just wasn’t right.

“I constantly felt my body was less than,” she confessed, explaining that she’d initially turned to implants hoping they’d help her feel more secure. But what began as a quick self-esteem fix turned into a decade-long lesson in self-discovery and acceptance.

In an honest post, Ashley said goodbye to her implants and hello to a happier, healthier life.

#11

Genevieve Padalecki

Two photos of a person, before and after breast implant removal, in different outfits.

When Genevieve Padalecki decided to get breast implants, she initially loved the results. However, just months after her surgery, Genevieve found herself experiencing intense joint pain, constant fatigue, and baffling inflammation that left the once-active mom unable to run more than a few miles without exhaustion.

“I couldn’t run. It was super weird,” she admitted on the Bathroom Chronicles podcast. “I’d jog two or three miles and my body would just be like, ‘No, we’re done.’”

After discovering her lymph nodes were severely inflamed, the mother of three, married to Supernatural star Jared Padalecki, realized her implants could be the culprit. Though initially hesitant due to conflicting medical opinions, Padalecki had them removed.

The impact was immediate in two weeks. “My body is not inflamed. I feel normal,” Genevieve shared. “It was definitely the right decision.”

#12

Tamra Judge

Real Housewives of Orange County star Tamra Judge removed her breast implants not once but twice. Tamra previously told People that she had had five different breast surgeries since her 20s.

After years of dealing with thyroid issues, joint pain, and chronic inflammation, she revealed she underwent explant surgery due to autoimmune concerns.

“I woke up today with rosy cheeks, no sinus congestion, and happy thoughts,” she shared on Instagram. “Tired of being tired and inflamed,” she wrote.

#13

Adrienne Bailon

Side-by-side photo of a celebrity before and after breast implant removal, wearing a patterned dress and silver top.

Adrienne Bailon got real on the daytime show The Real when she opened up about her decision to remove her breast implants, revealing the whole thing was about her confidence.

After starring in The Cheetah Girls, a then teenage Adrienne thought her career had peaked and chose to get double Ds in a bid to feel “s**y and womanly.” But instead of boosting her self-esteem, the implants only brought the Disney star a new wave of insecurity.

“I went from one insecurity to another,” Adrienne admitted. The exaggerated look not only clashed with her image in family-friendly roles, but it also made her feel more self-conscious than ever. “I looked crazy,” she said. “I was more embarrassed that people knew I was so insecure that I went and got breast implants in the first place.”

#14

Rhylee Gerber

Side-by-side of a celebrity before and after breast implant removal, showcasing personal transformation.

Rhylee Gerber is no stranger to rough seas, but the Below Deck star wasn’t prepared for the storm inside of her own body. After nearly 12 years with breast implants, Rhylee discovered one of them had silently ruptured, leaking arsenic and other dangerous toxins into her system.

“I’m tired of inflammation, random sharp pains, feeling exhausted, and bloating for no reason,” she candidly told her Instagram followers before undergoing explant surgery.

Post-surgery, the reality star revealed even more shocking details. Unbeknownst to her, the ruptured implant was “full of bacteria and toxins,” encased in “gnarly” scar tissue that fortunately contained the damage from spreading further.

#15

Ayesha Curry

Side-by-side photo of a celebrity before and after breast implant removal, in shimmering and black outfits.

Ayesha Curry might be known for her cookbooks and candor, but even she wasn’t prepared for the aftermath of what she calls a “rash” decision to get breast surgery after giving birth to her second child in 2015.

In an honest interview with Working Mother, the entrepreneur revealed that lingering postpartum struggles and body-image issues pushed her toward a cosmetic procedure she now regrets.

“The intention was just to have them lifted,” she explained. “But I came out with these bigger b**bs I didn’t want. I got the most botched b**b job on the face of the planet.”

At the time, Ayesha said she didn’t realize she was experiencing postpartum depression, which showed up in how she felt about her body. Though she now laughs about it, admitting on The Rachael Ray Show that she “totally did” get her breasts done, the reality wasn’t so amusing. “They’re worse now than they were before,” she admitted.

#16

Emily Simpson

Celebrity in side-by-side photos before and after breast implant removal, wearing black outfits.

Emily Simpson traded her breast implants for better health. The Real Housewives of Orange County star recently had her silicone implants removed after noticing a worrying increase in arthritis and joint pain, conditions she believes were triggered by breast implant illness.

Following her explant surgery, Simpson shared on Instagram, “I literally feel like a truck just ran over my body.” But despite the pain, she celebrated her decision by proudly debuting her implant-free chest, “That’s my real tatas. No implants anymore.”

Initially, Simpson considered swapping silicone for saline implants, but soon learned even saline implants have a silicone shell. To fully eliminate silicone from her body, explanting was the only option.

#17

Heather Morris

Two side-by-side photos of a celebrity who had breast implants removed, showing changes in appearance.

Heather Morris’s breast implants lasted about as well as your average Hollywood romance: brief, dramatic, and ending with serious regrets. Initially brushing off speculation by crediting better bras for her suddenly boosted curves, the Glee star finally came clean: she did go under the knife, but quickly realized bigger definitely wasn’t better (at least not for her dance moves).

“It was hard being active with them,” Heather told Fitness Magazine in a 2011 interview, adding bluntly, “My chest was always sore. It hurt a lot, and I didn’t like being in pain—so they had to go!”

#18

Melissa Rycroft Strickland

The Bachelor alum Melissa Rycroft is embracing her natural self after saying goodbye to her breast implants. “My body was telling me they didn’t want these implants in,” she shared on Instagram, revealing that one implant never settled properly, even after reconstruction.

Now, Melissa is happily back to basics, joking she’s officially rejoined the “Itty Bitty Titty Committee.”

Despite some post-op aches, she said she’s recovering well and feeling good about her decision.

#19

Yolanda Hadid

Side-by-side photo of a celebrity before and after breast implant removal, wearing a purple dress and red suit.

Yolanda Hadid turned back time by letting go of cosmetic procedures. To mark her 55th birthday, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star shared an Instagram post celebrating her return to a fully natural self.

“Living in a body free of breast implants, fillers, botox, extensions and all the bulls**t I thought I needed…” she wrote. The decision came after years of struggling with Lyme disease, which led her to think about her health and the beauty standards that pushed her to change her appearance in the first place.

The mother of Gigi and Bella Hadid had her silicone breast implants removed back in 2016 after learning that the material had leaked into her body. And she’s not holding back about the toll it all took. “Beauty has no meaning without your health,” she reminded her followers.

#20

Karen McDougal

Side-by-side photos of a celebrity before and after breast implant removal, wearing a black top and pink dress.

When your career involves gracing the pages of Playboy, breast implants might feel like part of the uniform. But for former Playmate Karen McDougal, implants turned out to be a nightmare she never signed up for.

Karen told People that she initially got her implants to feel “more womanly,” but quickly discovered the painful downside. Over the years, her implants were linked to mysterious and debilitating health issues, including thyroid problems, allergies, chronic illness, blackouts, migraines, and panic attacks.

Eventually, the model was practically bedridden, convinced she would pass away. Removing her implants turned out to be a life-changing move.

“My health is so much more important than breasts,” Karen said, finally free from symptoms she suffered for nearly two decades.

Family awarded almost $1,000,000,000 after disturbing details of how hospital handled baby’s delivery revealed

Family awarded almost $1,000,000,000 after disturbing details of how hospital handled baby’s delivery revealed

5-year-old Azaylee will have a lifetime of disabilities

A family have been awarded nearly $1 billion after details of how a hospital handled their baby’s delivery were revealed.

Azaylee, 5, is likely to suffer a lifetime of disabilities due to the hospital’s negligence, according to a new report.

Remarkably, Third District Judge Patrick Corum in Salt Lake County said in his decision that mum Anyssa Zancanella ‘would have been better off delivering this baby at the bathroom of a gas station, or in a hut somewhere’ than in the usual safe space of a hospital.

Zancanella and the baby’s father Danniel McMichael were in Salt Lake City on vacation in October 2019 when Azaylee decided she wanted to come into the world.

The mother was forced to have her baby at the local hospital, where she was met with nurses who had only just finished their training the day she was admitted.

The ‘inexperienced’ nurses were accused of failing to react to signs that the baby was in distress on top of giving Zancanella ‘excessive’ doses of the labour-inducing drug Pitocin.

A lawsuit issued by the family claimed that while the nurses did call for a more experienced doctor about the baby’s concerning blood pressure and the woman’s fever, the on-call doctor decided to go back to sleep in a room next door.

Experts believe the baby was deprived of oxygen and suffered brain damage after staff performed a cesarean section delivery.

The damage is so bad that Azaylee will be disabled for life.

Azaylee had a ‘misshapen head’, ‘swollen’ face and bruising once she was delivered via the c-section.

The young child now needs care 24//7 due to regular seizures, while lawyers claim she doesn’t have the cognitive or executive function others do at her age.

And health experts think she will never be able to attend work, drive a car or go to school/college for her education.

Health experts have detailed the impact of the delivery (Facebook/Anyssa Zancanella)

“She is trapped. I know that my daughter is in there, but she can’t come out and I think of that every day,” Zancanella said.

Judge Corum awarded the family $951 million earlier this month following their terrible ordeal, after they found Steward Health Care liable.

“The person [Azaylee] was to be, the person she deserved to be, is trapped inside a brain-damaged child,” Corum said. “I cannot think of anything more profound, total or complete than that loss.”

The family may find it tricky collecting the money however as the hospital chain is bankrupt. Their lawyers said they were hoping to recoup half of the amount awarded to them.

Man sacked for doing Michael Jackson 'hee-hee' noises to colleague is given £10,000 payout

A judge ruled that Lucasz Zawadzski had been unfairly dismissed by the Co-operative Group and forced the employer to pay more than £10,000

A man who was sacked from his job in a warehouse after allegedly impersonating Michael Jackson was unfairly dismissed, a court has ruled.

Lucasz Zawadzski lost his job at the Co-operative warehouse in Manchester last year after a colleague, who is black, accused him of making Michael Jackson ‘hee-hee’ noises, towards him. The co-worker, known only as SM, also claimed Zawadzski ‘made monkey noises’ towards him, so reported the issue to his manager as bullying in December 2023.

In court, Zawadzski confessed his behaviour had been ’embarrassing and juvenile’ but insisted it was not racially motivated. He also admitted making ‘grunting and moaning’ sounds with another colleague and agreed that they could be described ‘orgasmic’ and were ‘not appropriate’ in the workplace.

The former Co-operative employee said a colleague had commented on his ‘high-pitched laugh’ but denied he was impersonating Michael Jackson and rebuffed claims he’d been making monkey sounds insisting he had no intentions to ‘bully or hurt someone,’ as per the BBC.

Zawadzski had been suspended from his role in the warehouse after ‘an alleged breach of the bullying, harassment and discrimination policy, specifically making inappropriate comments to a colleague causing hurt and distress.’

However, on hearing the case at a tribunal in Manchester, Employment Judge Carol Porter decided the man had been unfairly dismissed after finding no evidence that his behaviour had caused his colleague distress.

“In essence the misconduct of the claimant was inappropriate and juvenile conduct in the workplace,” she said in her judgement.

“There was no satisfactory evidence before the dismissing officer that that particular admitted conduct was offensive to SM, or caused him distress.

“There was no satisfactory evidence before the dismissing officer that the claimant had, by making those noises, engaged in bullying or harassment.

“The claimant gave clear evidence, which was not contradicted, that he had worked with SM for a long time and SM had never told him that he found this inappropriate and juvenile behaviour offensive.”

Judge Porter went on to say that ‘the claimant was not aware of the company’s zero-tolerance policy in relation to inappropriate and juvenile behaviour in the work place’ and had not ‘received any warnings that such behaviour was unacceptable.’

As a result, the Co-operative Group were forced to pay Zawadzki more than £10,000 in compensation for unfair dismissal.

"We're married under the eyes of God." 😲

Keanu Reeves Says He And Winona Ryder Have Been ‘Married’ For 30 Years

Keanu Reeves says he's been 'married' to Winona Ryder for 30 years.

Actor Keanu Reeves says he’s been ‘married’ to Winona Ryder for 30 years.

Reeves is a Canadian actor and musician best known for his roles in the Matrix series and John Wick franchise.

He’s worked alongside American actress Ryder, who rose to prominence with her role in Beetlejuice, on numerous occasions.

But Reeves shocked fans when he claimed he and Ryder had accidentally been ‘married’ for the past 30 years.

Reeves and Ryder have worked together on several occasions, including DraculaA Scanner DarklyThe Private Lives of Pippa Lee, and Destination Wedding.

Although both stars have had relationships, neither has ever married.

Reeves is in a relationship with visual artist Alexandra Grant while Ryder has been dating fashion designer Scott Mackinlay Hahn since 2011.

Previously, fans wondered whether the two stars would enter a serious relationship – after all, they have spoken admiringly of each other over the years.

Ryder told People magazine Reeves is ‘one of the most special people’ she’s ever met, while rhe actress has described Ryder as ‘a remarkable human being.’

They also admitted that occasionally, they’ve had ‘big, healthy’ crushes on one another.

Although the pair have never taken their feelings further, it’s now been revealed that they may have unintentionally made an important vow to one another.

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, Ryder discussed working on the 1992 movie Bram Stoker’s Dracula, directed by Francis Ford Coppola, and revealed that real priests were used instead of a staged wedding.

She insisted: “We actually got married in Dracula. No, I swear to god I think we’re married in real life.

“In that scene, Francis used a real Romanian priest. We shot the master and he did the whole thing. So, I think we’re married.”

Coppola told The Guardian: “This is pretty authentic and I think very beautiful because we actually did the ceremony and had the priest do the ceremony.

“So in a sense, when we were all done, we realized that Keanu and Winona really are married as a result of this scene and this ceremony.”

In an interview with Esquire, Reeves elaborated: “We did a whole take of a marriage ceremony with real priests.

“Winona says we are. Coppola (the film’s director) says we are. So, I guess we’re married under the eyes of God.”

Although the accidental marriage may be a fun anecdote for fans of the actor and actress, whether it has any legal standing remains a question.

The scene was filmed for a movie, so it’s unlikely that any legal paperwork was filed.

Whether or not Reeves and Ryder are married, the pair continue to work together and support each other’s careers.

Jenna Ortega, 22, has finally addressed the rumors she’s dating 62-year-old Johnny Depp

Ortega has just appeared in Beetlejuice Beetlejuice, directed by Depp’s frequent collaborator Tim Burton.

Before its release, reports suggested the Pirates of the Caribbean star could make a surprise appearance in the sequel of the 1988 classic.

Amid this, fans speculated Ortega and Depp could be an item.

Now, Ortega has decided to address the rumors once and for all.

The actress has previously opened up about her experiences with ‘toxic’ and ‘manipulative’ trolls on social media and how she deals with them.

As part of Variety’s Actors on Actors series, Ortega told Maleficent actress Elle Fanning: “Social media, what it does to anyone our age, it’s such a comparing game.

“It influences bandwagon mentality. It’s very manipulative.”

She also explained how after her fame rose due to Wednesday, the amount of trolls she experienced on social media became more prominent.

“They see your vulnerability and twist it in a way that you don’t always expect,” an emotional Ortega continued.

“It’s so strange. Sorry, I didn’t mean to do this. It’s such a hard thing to balance. Because how do you be honest without jeopardizing your own health and safety? It’s very easy to feel almost out of control.”

Now it’s Ortega’s relationship status dominating the headlines – particularly those Johnny Depp rumors.

Rumors about the pair began swirling after gossip blog Deuxmoi posted that Depp and Ortega had allegedly been spotted together while working on the Beetlejuice sequel.

Previously, Ortega has been quoted as allegedly saying: “This is so ridiculous I can’t even laugh. I have never met or worked with Johnny Depp in my life. Please stop spreading lies and leave us alone,” however, she has now indicated this previous quote was false.

In a BuzzFeed interview, she said: “It’s so insane to me. I never spoke on that. I never said anything like that. Articles really do just make up their own quotes, but I thought that that was pretty hilarious.”

She added that the rumor was so widespread that even her co-star Richard E. Grant asked her about it on set.

“He came up to me and he just said, ‘Oh, so you and Johnny?’” she recalled. “I laughed because I don’t know that person.”

Along with Ortega, a representative for the Edward Scissorhands actor has also squashed the reports.

Speaking to NME, the rep said: “Mr. Depp has no personal or professional relationship with Ms. Ortega whatsoever. He has never met her or spoken to her.

“He is not involved in any project with her, nor does he intend to be. He is appalled by these baseless and malicious rumors that are intended to harm his reputation and career.”

So that’s put those rumors to bed.

Shipwreck survivor who watched her friend get eaten by a shark recall the horrifying moment it all went wrong

Tamara Ennis was 21 at the time of the shark attack

A woman who survived a shipwreck revealed how she escaped the sharks that ate her friend.

Tamara Ennis lived through something most people could only experience in their nightmares.

It began when the 21-year-old sailed a mile from the shore of Ormond Beach, Florida, in August 1981 with friends, Randy Cohen, Christy Wapniarski and Daniel Perrin, the boat’s owner.

All four were on a 17-foot catamaran, when Tamara revealed to A&E on its YouTube survivor series that she noticed dark clouds and lightning closing in on them.

Having decided that they were ‘too late’ to leave the situation, the group endeavoured to stay and ‘wait it out’.

However, not fifteen minutes later, a pontoon filled with water and the boat flipped over.

Thankfully, they were all able to climb onto the hull and draw their knees up, saving their bathing suit-clad bodies from the shark-infested water.

Tamara said of that moment that the coast guard didn’t spot them floating in the sea and left them sitting alone and in need of saving: “The reality hit us, and we were just quiet. And Christy who was sitting in front of me, she was very quiet, and I could tell also that she was just making peace, and I had a sense that she knew she was gonna die.”

After dawn broke, Tamara told the group that the best chance they had was to start swimming, and as Christy was the only person who could not swim, she told her that salt water would allow her to float when things became difficult.

Tamara then led the group into the water, but an hour into the swim, Christy was attacked by a shark.

She told A&E: “I was up in front and it was only probably about an hour into the swim that I looked back and I heard, um, Christy screaming and yelling for Randy to come get her.”

Tamara believed she was drowning at first, until the telltale sign of a shark throwing her out of the water before dragging her back underneath the surface became apparent.

She continued: “I realised I saw her thrashing about in the water. And then she went straight up, just like in the movie, in the Jaws movie, when she went straight up and straight back into the water. And I knew she’d been hit by a shark.

“So I yelled to Randy that it was a shark, and he thought she was drowning. So he was yelling back to her, and you know, calling her name, and she was just screaming ‘come and get me now’ and she went up again and down.

She continued: “And he was swimming while this happened and he didn’t see that it was a shark. He just thought she was drowning. So the last time I saw her go up and down she just went face down into the water. I knew that, you know, I knew she was dead. She was completely pale,

Tamara decided she would not go back, for fear of being the shark’s next victim, and she instead continued to swim.

However, soon after, something bumped against her and she was horrified to realize it was a shark.

She said: “I just had a split second vision of Christy and me saying, ‘That’s not how I wanna go. There is no way I can die like this’.”

To combat her fear, she said she began to think like a fish, telling herself she had as much right to be in the water as the shark did.

After five hours of swimming, Tamara could no longer see Randy and Daniel and had to navigate the currents after seeing sharks ahead in a ‘feeding frenzy’.

She also battled against a rip-tide which separated her from the shore.

Thankfully, swimming sideways allowed her to break the tide, which is when a lifeguard saw her.

She said: “I just told him instinctively – ‘I’ve just swam about nine miles, there’s a boat out there, one person’s dead. And there are a couple of guys and I don’t know if they are dead or alive’.”

Thankfully, both men were rescued and all three were sent to the hospital for treatment, as dehydration, exposure and hypothermia took hold of members of the group.

The body of Christy was never found.

Despite her nightmare out at sea, Tamara has since decided to work on boats in the Bahamas.

She said: “I still to this day won’t go in dark water but surviving that also gives you a whole new outlook on life.

“Dying wasn’t an option for me during that time so I just had to keep good thoughts and say, ‘Ok, I’ve made it another minute, I made it another five minutes, I made it another hour.’ And just keep going and thinking about, you know, your family, or your future, and not giving in to the negative thoughts is how I survived.”

She was a young single mom, barely 24, raising her baby boy while working two jobs.

Single Mom Vanished in Everglades, 1 Year Later a Python Is Found With a Strange Bulge…

Single Mom Vanished in Everglades, 1 Year Later a Python Is Found With a Strange Bulge…

The day Sarah Whitmore disappeared was the kind of Florida afternoon where the sky hung heavy with heat. She had packed a small cooler, strapped her ten-month-old son Oliver into his car seat, and headed toward the fringes of the Everglades. Friends said she needed the air, the space, and maybe just a break from the four walls of her tiny apartment. She was 24, exhausted but determined, balancing waitressing shifts at night with classes during the day. Her dream was to become a nurse—something steady, something that would keep Oliver safe.

She never came back.

When Sarah’s car was found abandoned near a trailhead, panic rippled through her small community. The driver’s door was ajar, the baby’s blanket still in the backseat. Search parties scoured the swamps for days, helicopters roared above, volunteers waded through waist-high water, their eyes darting nervously toward the shadows. The Everglades were no place to vanish—it was a place where vanishing meant being swallowed.

Authorities found no trace. Weeks turned into months, and whispers grew louder. Some suspected foul play. Others said Sarah, overwhelmed, had simply walked away from her life. But those who knew her—the way she carried Oliver pressed against her chest like a second heartbeat—refused to believe it.

Then the story faded, as stories like hers too often do.

Almost exactly one year later, in the sticky summer dusk, wildlife officers captured a massive Burmese python near the same trailhead. It was nearly twenty feet long, its body bloated with a grotesque bulge. Such finds weren’t uncommon—the Everglades were overrun with invasive pythons—but something about this one stirred unease.

The news spread fast: Could this be the answer?

Neighbors winced at the thought. Reporters camped outside Sarah’s mother’s home, asking if she feared the worst. “My daughter didn’t get eaten by no snake,” her mother snapped through tears. “She’s out there. She’s alive.”

When wildlife biologists carefully examined the python, they prepared for horror. Cameras rolled, communities braced. But inside, they did not find remains. They found something else entirely: scraps of fabric, a baby’s shoe, and—most astonishingly—a hand-stitched leather pouch containing Sarah’s ID, tucked in like a message in a bottle.

The Everglades had offered not closure, but a question.

With the python’s discovery, search efforts reignited. This time, they looked differently—following smaller paths, scanning deeper into mangroves. One ranger remembered an old, half-collapsed airboat shack miles into the swamp. He swore he’d once seen signs of someone living there: smoke, clothes hanging. They dismissed him at the time. Now, they listened.

And that’s where they found her.

Sarah was thinner, her hair sun-bleached and tangled, but her eyes—wild and bright—were unmistakable. Oliver, now toddling beside her, clung to her leg as if the world outside the shack might swallow him. When rescuers rushed forward, Sarah staggered back, clutching her son. Only when she saw the ranger’s uniform did her body fold with relief.

Through tears, she explained: The day she disappeared, she had wandered off-trail, chasing Oliver’s dropped toy. The ground beneath her gave way, and she slipped into the swamp. She fought to keep Oliver above water, clinging to roots until she hauled them both out. Drenched and disoriented, she kept walking, deeper and deeper, until she stumbled upon the shack.

Her phone had drowned. Her car was miles away. And soon she realized—no one was coming.

For months, she survived on rainwater, fishing with makeshift tools, and fruit she learned to identify. She stitched scraps into bags, one of which carried her ID and a few baby items—a token of identity, proof that she was real. When a python had slithered too close one night, she struck it with everything she had. Terrified but desperate, she defended Oliver, eventually killing it. That python, bloated not with flesh but with her meager belongings, would later become the clue that led rescuers back.

The community that had once mourned her now stood at the roadside to welcome her home. Cameras captured the moment Sarah stepped out of the rescue van, Oliver clutched to her chest, both blinking at the flood of light and voices. Reporters shouted questions: “How did you survive?” “Did you give up hope?”

Sarah only said one thing: “A mother doesn’t get to give up.”

Her words rippled across social media. People reposted her photo—the young mom with sun-browned skin and fierce eyes—and wrote captions about strength, love, and miracles in the swamp. Some called it divine intervention. Others called it human grit. But everyone agreed: Sarah had not just survived—she had kept hope alive.

Recovery was not easy. Sarah flinched at the sound of helicopters, Oliver cried at the sight of too many strangers. But with time, therapy, and the steady hands of her community, they began to heal. Donations poured in, enough for Sarah to return to school without juggling night shifts. She spoke at local events about resilience and the importance of not underestimating a mother’s love.

When Oliver turned two, Sarah threw him a birthday party in her mother’s backyard. Balloons bobbed against the sky, laughter replaced the hush of swamp winds, and Sarah whispered a silent thank you—to the swamp that tested her, to the python that became her strange messenger, and to the love that refused to let her vanish.

People still drive by that trailhead, staring at the place where she disappeared. Some point to the swamp and shake their heads. Others smile, remembering that sometimes the wild swallows us not to end us, but to teach us what we carry inside. For Sarah, it was simple: love deeper than fear, and a belief that miracles can crawl out of the darkest places.

Because sometimes, what vanishes does come back.

And when it does, it comes back stronger.
