How do I get rid of blackheads safely?

People should avoid popping, squeezing, or picking blackheads. Instead, safe removal of blackheads often involves topical treatments or extraction by a healthcare provider.

Acne is a very common inflammatory skin condition, which commonly starts at the time of puberty and can continue through life. It most commonly affects the face, as well as the back, shoulders, upper arms, and chest. There are several types of acne, one of which is blackheads.

Blackheads are one of the most misunderstood types of acne, as people tend to confuse them with dirt under the skin. As a result, they are often clearing blackheads in the wrong way. This not only fails to remove the blackheads, but it can also make them worse, and they can escalate into different skin infections.

While blackheads do not cause serious problems on their own, they cause psychological differences such as depression, anxiety, and poor self-image.

This article will advise how to remove blackheads. Medical News Today has also sourced a range of video content to help you regain smooth, clear skin.

Fast facts on blackhead removal:

Here are some key points about acne.

  • According to the American Academy of Dermatology, acne affects as many as 50 million people in the United States (U.S.) each year.
  • Girls aged 14 to 17 years and boys aged 16 to 19 years are most commonly affected by acne, though it can occur at any age.
  • People should avoid popping, squeezing, or picking at blackheads.
  • Gentle cleansing with dedicated chemical soaps or lotions is the most effective way to clear blackheads.
What are blackheads?

There are many gels, lotions, and cleansing pads available to treat blackheads.

Often misunderstood as trapped dirt, blackheads are actually small deposits of melanin, the pigment that darkens skin. They are also known as comedones.

The pigment has turned brown due to being exposed to oxygen. This happenes as a result of open pores in the skin.

Making the distinction between trapped dirt and blackheads is the first step to removing them.

Blackhead removal

People with blackheads should avoid popping, squeezing, rubbing, touching, or picking at affected areas.

Not all acne is treated in the same way. To treat blackheads, a healthcare provider may recommend over-the-counter (OTC) or prescription medications depending on a particular situation. These can be applied topically, or directly to the skin.

Topically applied therapy for people affected by mild acne and blackheads may include the use of:

  • benzoyl peroxide
  • antibiotics
  • retinoids
  • salicylic acid
  • sulfur

Remedies may be purchased in the form of gels, lotions, cream, soaps, or pads.

In some cases, a healthcare provider may recommend extraction, in which they will manually remove blackheads with special tools called comedone extractors.

Here is a video of Dr. Lisa Benest, a dermatologist based in Los Angeles, demonstrating how a comedone extractor works.

For some women, the use of oral contraceptives, low-dose corticosteroids, or spironolactone may improve hormonally driven acne, even in mild cases.
Steps for washing the face

Washing the face correctly can spare a person with blackheads the need to visit a dermatologist.

It is often the case that cleaning the skin at home is the best first-line treatment for acne and blackheads. Good skin hygiene can help to keep the pores unclogged.

However, over-scrubbing can do more harm than good. Here are the steps for washing your face in a way that will not encourage the development of more blackheads and further skin infections.

To prepare for cleanse, make sure you have:

  • hand soap
  • makeup removal solution for those who wear makeup
  • a cream with moisturizing capabilities for people with dry skin
  • mild cleanser that is marked soap-free
  • foaming cleanser containing alpha-hydroxy acid (AHA) for individuals with oily skin
  • a cleansing solution that contains salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide for acne-prone skin
  • a face towel

Once you have the products tailored to your skin type, take the following steps each night:

  1. Wash your hands to keep them free of bacteria.
  2. Remove any makeup you may be wearing using makeup remover or wipes.
  3. Make sure water temperature is warm but moderate.
  4. Apply the type of cleanser best suited to your skin. Gently massage the cleanser in a circular motion and be sure to rotate your hands outwards from the center of your face for at least one minute.
  5. Focus on the nose and forehead, as these areas of the face are particularly prone to sebum, or oil, production.
  6. Be sure to cleanse the jawline and hairline.
  7. Rinse the cleanser from your face by splashing your face with warm water.
  8. Dab the face with a clean hand towel, patting the skin dry and being sure not to rub or push down too hard.
  9. Apply any prescribed or OTC lotions, creams or gels after this cleaning process.
  10. Repeat this process twice daily for the best results.

This helpful video from physician’s assistant Erin Jensen demonstrates the above steps.

What to avoid

There are many ways to clean blackheads incorrectly. People often do not consider these steps when cleansing the face.

Be sure to avoid:

  • vigorous cleaning and scrubbing of the skin
  • very hot or very cold water when washing
  • the use of toners, exfoliants, astringents, strong soaps, or scrubbing pads, unless told otherwise
  • popping, squeezing, rubbing, touching, or picking at affected areas
  • sunburn or tanning
  • the use of pore-clogging skin care products
Other preventive measures

A gentle and well-considered facial cleansing process is not the only way to keep blackheads at bay or reduce them if they appear.

The following measures can also help to preserve clear and healthful skin:

  • Shampoo the hair frequently.
  • Remove all make-up in the evening before going to bed.
  • Consider using oil-free skin care products, including sunscreen.
  • For people with dry skin, fragrance-free, water-based emollients are recommended.
  • Take care when shaving.

Speak with a healthcare provider to be sure you are using products suitable for your particular skin type.

Risk factors for developing acne

Blackheads can develop into more severe acne as a result of the following factors:

A woman is squeezing a pimple.Share on Pinterest
Squeezing or picking blackheads can make the acne worse.
  • overactive oil glands
  • genes
  • hormonal status
  • menstruation
  • psychological issues such as stress
  • certain medications
  • pore-clogging skin care products
  • pressure from sports helmets, sports equipment, tight-fitted collars, and other sources of rubbing
  • exposure to pollution or humid temperature conditions
  • sweating
  • squeezing or picking at skin lesions
  • excessive or hard skin scrubbing

Bear these factors in mind when trying to remove blackheads. If the cause is a factor such as stress, dealing with that cause can often be the best way to clear blackheads.

Blackheads do not cause serious health problems, but they can affect confidence and self-image. Cleaning them in the right way can also prevent the development of more severe skin infections.

How to Pop Blackheads: A Step-by-Step Guide

It’s best to avoid popping blackheads, as this can cause scarring and increase your risk of infection. If you do need to pop one, be sure to wash your hands first and use a gentle cleanser on the area afterward.

how to pop blackheadsShare on Pinterest

Unless you’re blessed with genetically perfect skin that’s never been exposed to grime and oil, chances are you’ve had a close encounter with a blackhead or two.

Blackheads are a mild form of acne caused by clogged hair follicles in your skin.

When you see a blackhead, it’s tempting to want to squeeze out the blockage in your pore and move on with your life.

In most cases, though, squeezing a blackhead opens up a Pandora’s box of possibilities for other problems.

Identifying a blackhead

The little black dots you see on the bridge of your nose or the sides of your cheeks might not be blackheads. While blackheads do involve your hair follicles, sometimes pores and follicles that appear to be blocked are simply more visible because of oil buildup.

If oil buildup is indeed the issue at hand, you risk damaging your skin if you try to pop a blockage that isn’t there. Popping a blackhead that’s really just oil buildup won’t solve anything, as the oil will typically come right back.

When you try to force a blockage out of a pore, you’re risking skin damage and infection. But unlike popping other kinds of pimples, blackheads are open pores, which makes them less risky to pop.

If you’re sure you’re dealing with a blocked hair follicle, and you’re convinced you can’t avoid popping it, there are safer ways to go about it. This article will cover how to pop a blackhead safely.

How to extract a blackhead

Before removing a blackhead, spend some time in a warm shower or bath. Steam can help your pores relax, and the clog in your pore will start to loosen on its own.

Once you’re ready to set your pore free, follow these steps:

  1. Wash your hands. This is absolutely critical to preventing the spread of infection on your dermis, the layer of your skin where bacteria can be easily trapped. You might want to put on plastic or latex gloves if you have them.
  2. Apply pressure around the clogged pore. You can use a tissue or clean cotton gauze as a barrier between your hands and the blackhead itself, if needed.
  3. Rock your fingers back and forth around the clogged pore. Remember that you’re trying to pop out an intact blockage made of dried oil and dead skin cells. You may need to experiment with different levels of pressure and different finger positions. Don’t press so hard that you cut or bruise your skin.
  4. Feel the clog pop out. If you’re not able to remove the clog via these steps, you may need to give your skin some time to recover before trying again.
  5. Cleanse the area with a mild astringent or toner. This will kill harmful bacteria and help keep your pores free of debris that caused your blackhead.
When to leave it alone

You can typically feel if a blockage in your pore is close to the surface of your skin or not.

Oil blockages in your pores turn black when they’re exposed to oxygen — that’s how they get their color in the first place. Most blackheads are close enough to the skin’s surface to attempt safe removal.

If you’ve tried to remove a blackhead and the blockage won’t come out, leave it alone for a day or two. In most cases, your skin will clear the blockage on its own if you give it time.

Products that can help

You might also want to try using over-the-counter products, such as pore-clearing strips, retinoids, and cleansers that contain salicylic acid.

However, using pore strips may also remove natural oils from the skin, which can lead to irritation and dryness.

Be aware that most blackheads are caused by overproduction of natural oils in your skin. Even if you find a product that helps you remove blackheads, they’ll keep coming back unless you address the underlying cause.

For stubborn blackheads, consider see an aesthetician or a dermatologist for an extraction. Some aestheticians offer extraction-only facials that last about 30 minutes.

Find blackhead-clearing products online.

What to know about extractors

Tools called comedone extractors can be used to remove blackheads. These tools are typically made of stainless steel and have a small circle at the end. You’ll need some practice with comedone extractors to remove blackheads easily.

Removing a blackhead yourself with a comedone extractor is no safer than any other way of doing it yourself. It’s safest to have an aesthetician do it for you.

What to do after removal?

After you remove a blackhead, your pore will appear smaller. That’s because the dirt and oil have been removed. Swipe a toner, such as witch hazel, over the area to kill any bacteria you may have spread and to condition your pores.

You may want to avoid directly touching the area while your skin heals. Introducing dirt or any irritant to the area can result in another blackhead.

Buy witch hazel online.

How to prevent blackheads

Being proactive about blackhead prevention and skin care can help you avoid having to try to extract blackheads yourself. Consider these ways to treat and prevent blackheads.

If you have sensitive skin, or dry skin that’s prone to flaking:

  • Exfoliate your skin gently each day using a cleansing scrub or a dry brush. Skin flakes can block your pores and create an environment that causes blackheads to form.
  • Keep your skin hydrated with a fragrance-free moisturizing cream.
  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day for healthier skin.
  • Make sure to cleanse your skin properly of excess makeup and products every night. A gentle cleansing agent like micellar water or cucumber-based makeup-removing wipes can add moisture while cleansing.

Find a dry brush, micellar water, and makeup remover wipes online.

If you have oil-prone skin:

  • Try a clay mask to absorb excess oils in your skin and achieve a more matte look.
  • Try introducing salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide products into your skin care routine. These ingredients can dissolve oil plugs before they clog your pores.
  • Make your own baking soda scrub to absorb oils and condition your pores.
  • Use a retinoid cream or serum to condition your skin. Be aware that this ingredient can make your skin more prone to damage from the sun, so always pair it with a light SPF when you venture outside.

Find salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, and retinoid products online.

The bottom line

Removing a blackhead once in a while is safe for most people, but it’s important not to make a habit out of removing them yourself.

If you have recurring blackheads, make an appointment with a dermatologist who can help you address them with more permanent treatment options.

Family of Illinois woman demands answers as she dies after her freezing body was found on hospital roof

New details have emerged about the tragic death of Chelsea Adolphus.

The 28-year-old woman tragically died hours after being discovered on the roof of Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Illinois, ABC 7 reports.

According to Lake County Coroner Jennifer Banek, preliminary autopsy results indicate Adolphus died from hypothermia, as a result of cold exposure.

Multiple investigations are underway to determine how she ended up on the hospital roof in such a vulnerable state.

Hospital personnel found Adolphus on the second-floor roof around 9:00AM last Thursday, Banek confirmed. Surveillance footage shows she left her hospital room at approximately 2:00AM, wearing only a hospital gown.

Seven hours later, she was found on the roof with a body temperature of about 50 degrees (10°C).

Despite the hospital staff’s efforts to resuscitate her over the course of 14 hours, Adolphus was pronounced dead at around 11:00PM.

Her family is grappling with the devastating loss and seeking clarity on how such a tragedy could occur.

“We want to know exactly what happened from when my sister set foot in that facility,” her brother, Paul Adolphus, said during a press conference at the Lake County Coroner’s Office.

Adolphus had reportedly visited the hospital for a minor medical issue and was expected to be discharged soon. Relatives say they are baffled by how she accessed the roof, which investigators noted had a door that locked from the outside.

Hospital Faces ScrutinyCoroner Banek, a former employee of the hospital, has raised concerns about Vista Medical Center’s ability to provide adequate care.

“American Healthcare Systems must be held accountable to provide safe, quality healthcare to Waukegan and its surrounding communities,” Banek said, referencing the hospital’s loss of its trauma designation last year and citing ongoing financial issues.

She highlighted that the hospital owes $1 million in back taxes and has failed to meet obligations to vendors, clinical providers, and even the city of Waukegan for its water bills.

Banek further revealed that the Waukegan Police Department had not been notified of the incident until her office made them aware. She has issued a preservation letter to the hospital, instructing them to secure all evidence related to the case, including video footage and digital records.

Heartbroken Family Speaks OutPaul Adolphus expressed anger and disbelief over the hospital’s handling of his sister’s death.

“My sister didn’t deserve this,” he said. “She was young and changing her life around to be an amazing person to travel the world through real estate.”

Paul also questioned the hospital’s security and monitoring systems: “Where is the surveillance team? Where’s the camera? Where’s the, ‘Hey, where’s the doctors?’ We want to know exactly what happened.”

He added: “I don’t think it’s fair that my sister came to a facility that is supposed to be safe, and they end up being the one causing the death of my sister.”

Hospital RespondsAmerican Healthcare Systems, which operates Vista Medical Center, issued a statement offering condolences to Adolphus’ family but declined to provide specific details about the incident, citing HIPAA regulations.

“We deeply regret the incident that occurred at Vista Medical Center on January 23, 2025,” the statement read. “We are conducting our own internal investigation, which is ongoing. Additionally, we have reported the incident to state and federal regulatory agencies, and we are cooperating fully with them and with local law enforcement.”

A hospital spokesperson confirmed that an internal investigation is underway.

Meanwhile, the family has retained an attorney, who is reportedly considering filing a civil lawsuit.

As investigations continue, Adolphus’ loved ones remain determined to uncover the full truth behind her untimely death.

Dad who claimed he accidentally stabbed his teen daughter to death during ‘play fight’ is found guilty of murder

A man who claimed he accidentally stabbed his teenage daughter to death while they were play-fighting has been found guilty of murder.

On Monday (January 27), Simon Vickers, 50, was convicted at Teesside Crown Court in Northern England for the fatal stabbing of his daughter Scarlett Vickers on July 5, 2024.

The verdict followed a trial that dismantled the British man’s claims of innocence, according to a news release by the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS).

During the trial, Vickers maintained that his daughter’s death was an unfortunate accident that occurred while they were “messing around together in the kitchen, in a normal playful way,” cited by Sky News.

He alleged they had been jokingly throwing items at each other when he accidentally swiped a kitchen knife, which fatally struck the teen in the chest.

The CPS release described how paramedics arrived at the scene to find Scarlett on the kitchen floor with a severe stab wound. Despite their best efforts, she died from her injuries shortly afterward, People reported.

According to the BBC, forensic pathologist Jennifer Bolton testified in court that it was “practically impossible” for the fatal wound – a 4-inch deep stab wound to Scarlett’s chest – to have been caused accidentally during play.

Bolton explained that the knife would have needed to be firmly held and struck at a precise 90-degree angle to pierce Scarlett’s pajama top and cause such a deep wound.

“The account provided by Simon Vickers about how his daughter, Scarlett, sustained a fatal injury is wholly inconsistent with the forensic evidence in this case,” Anna Barker, a senior crown prosecutor with CPS North East, said.

“The nature of the wound sustained by Scarlett could only have been caused if the knife used had been firmly gripped as she was injured,” she continued.

“We have worked closely with Durham Police to meticulously piece together the tragic events which led to Scarlett’s death. Our thoughts remain with her family, for who this must remain a difficult time,” the prosecutor added.

Durham Constabulary revealed in a news release that Vickers had been drinking alcohol and smoking cannabis throughout the evening leading up to the heartbreaking event.

Scarlett’s mother, Sarah Hall, was initially arrested and charged with murder but the charges against her were dropped, and she faced no further action.

Detective Superintendent Craig Rudd of Durham Constabulary spoke about the devastating loss, saying: “Scarlett Vickers would have celebrated her 16th birthday this year. She had her whole life ahead of her. Yet it was cruelly cut short by her own father – a man who was meant to protect her.

“Sadly, today’s verdict will not bring Scarlett back, but he will now face the consequences of his actions. Our thoughts remain with those who cared about Scarlett,” he concluded.

Vickers is set to be sentenced on February 10 at Teesside Crown Court.

Elon Musk suggests new name for the English Channel following Trump’s ‘Gulf of America’ change

Elon Musk appears to have taken a page out of President Trump’s book as he’s suggested renaming another body of water – this time, the focus is on the English Channel.

During Donald Trump’s inauguration on January 20, he laid out a bizarre claim that left many people – including Hillary Clinton – laughing.

The new POTUS declared that his new administration would be renaming the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

And despite the skeptism from some social media users, Trump swiftly signed a number of executive orders, including one outlining the directive to rename the Gulf of Mexico to the Gulf of America.

The order argues for rebranding geographic features to “honor the contributions of visionary and patriotic Americans,” as reported by The Guardian.

In the executive order, the Gulf is described as “an integral asset to our once burgeoning Nation” and “a crucial artery for America’s early trade and global commerce”. As a result, Trump and other officials can now change the name of the Gulf on official US government documents – which they have been doing.

Now, it looks like his billionaire buddy Elon Musk wants in on the action, as he’s taken to X to share his thoughts on the English Channel.

For those who may not know, the English Channel is the strait that separates the southern coast of England from the northern coast of France.

Screenshot 2025-01-28 at 17.12.34.jpg

The English Channel. Credit: Google Earth

As well as connecting the southern part of the North Sea to the western end of the Atlantic Ocean, it remains one of the business shipping lanes in the world. It even boasts a 31-mile-long underground tunnel connecting England and France.

The name ‘English Channel’ dates back to the late 16th century, where it was referred to as “The Canal Between England and France” on Dutch sea atlases, per RGM. Over time, it became the accepted English name.

But Musk appears to want to change all that, as he shared a tweet with the caption: “New name for the water that separates England and France.”

The tweet included an image of the English Channel, but it had been renamed “The George Washington Channel”.

Screenshot 2025-01-28 at 16.54.22.jpg

Musk shared his idea on X. Credit: X

And, after the tweet received over 100 million views, there were thousands of replies – and it’s safe to say that people were divided.

“You’re gonna give Starmer a heart attack,” one person said, in reference to UK Prime Minister Sir Kier Starmer.

One person tentitively suggested: “Dear Americans, please respect countries with history and culture while you make America great again. You need allies, after all. And who are your allies in this world?”

Another asked: “What’s with this obsession now to change the names of geographical landmarks?”

Other replies ranged from the utterly bewildering to the downright bizarre.

Of course, despite the US Government pushing forward with the Gulf of America name change, not everybody is on board.

You see, Trump cannot force companies or other nations to follow suit and adopt the name change.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum rejected the change outright, stating: “For us, it is still the Gulf of Mexico, and for the entire world it is still the Gulf of Mexico.”

The UK government also confirmed it would not adopt the new name.

According to The Telegraph, the name will not change on British maps unless the term “Gulf of America” becomes the dominant usage in the English language.

A government source explained that the name “cannot be universally changed by a single country”.

The Mexican President has waved away the notion of renaming the body of water. Credit: Manuel Velasquez/Getty

The decision has also drawn criticism from those questioning its practicality and impact on international relations.

Pressure also mounted on technology companies like Google and Apple to update their mapping platforms to reflect the new name.

Google has since issued a statement this week saying: “We’ve received a few questions about naming within Google Maps. We have a longstanding practice of applying name changes when they have been updated in official government sources.”

Google said the changes – for both the Gulf of Mexico and Mount Denali – will be made “quickly” once the Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) is updated.

“When official names vary between countries, Maps users see their official local name,” the company said on Monday. “Everyone in the rest of the world sees both names. That applies here too.”

But something tells me that The George Washington Channel just isn’t going to take off…

Well, the harsh reality of using sunbeds too much or incorrectly has been outlined by an influencer who was recently left in agony and unable to sleep for days after deciding to switch up the way she used the bed.

Natalia Armstrong, 23, has spoken out about the horrific experience she had after lying down on a sunbed the wrong way in a bid to get a better tan.

It all happened on 18 January, when Natalia went on a 20-minute sunbed – something she’s done weekly for around two years.

But instead of lying down like she usually would, she put her face where her feet would normally go after being told by a friend that lying this way would give her a much better tan.

The influencer, from Doncaster in South Yorkshire, UK, explained: “One of my friends previously told me to try it. I just thought while I was down there I’ll give it a go because I had never heard anything bad.

“I didn’t know facial tanners were a lot less strong than the tubes so I did it. I laid for the full 20 minutes that way. I felt alright when I got off the sunbed, I didn’t even feel like I tanned.”

That night, she soon noticed her face was becoming red and over the next few days, Natalia watched on in horror as her skin grew tight and began to blister.

“All of a sudden that night my face started to go red,” Natalia said of the reaction. “I can’t even explain it. You know when you smile and your face is tight and you feel like it’s cracking.

“It tightened up then it blistered, then a really thick layer of skin started peeling off.”

Just days later when her fingers began to swell, she went to Montagu Hospital in Mexborough, South Yorkshire, where doctors cut off four of her rings and gave her antibiotics for her finger and cream for her face.

But the worst was far from over.

“I couldn’t sleep honestly,” Natalia said. “It was itchy, I had pains in my finger when my ring was off. I could not sleep for days and I’m not even exaggerating. I got cold sores all over my lips, I burnt all my lips.”

The NHS has long outlined the dangers of sunbeds, with the British Association of Dermatologists advising people against using them altogether.

They can be more dangerous than natural sunlight because they use a concentrated source of UV radiation, which can lead to health risks such as:

  • Skin cancer
  • Premature skin ageing
  • Sunburnt skin
  • Eye irritation

Despite Natalia being lucky enough to recover from her burns and being told her face will heal, doctors at the hospital warned her if she had waited much longer, she may have lost her finger.

She is now using her platform to raise awareness of the dangers of sunbeds, with her telling her 144,000 TikTok followers: “The moral of the story is, do not listen to f**king anyone’s advice.”

“I will never do that again,” she added. “I do regret it, I’ll never do that on a sunbed again.

“I’m glad it’s happened to me and not someone else, I actually am. That’s the kind of person I am. I wouldn’t wish that on my worst enemy, it’s very dangerous.

“I won’t be using sunbeds again any time soon. I can’t, I need to focus on my face and keep putting SPF on it.”

Natalia concluded: “It needs to be out there. I’ll never forgive myself if I let someone else do it and that happens to them.

“Do not do it honestly. Please do not lay where your feet should go because it’s very dangerous. It’s not worth the tan.”

Jake and Logan Paul leave fans with questions after sharing new ‘fight’ announcement

Jake and Logan Paul leave fans with questions after sharing new ‘fight’ announcement

The brothers’ latest announcement has caused a lot of confusion

Brothers Jake and Logan Paul appear to have made an announcement about their next ‘fight’ – and it’s left fans baffled.

The former YouTubers have made a successful pivot into combat sports in recent years, with Jake coming out on top against boxing legend Mike Tyson in a recent bout.

Ever since ‘The Problem Child’s’ victory over Tyson boxing fans have been speculating about who is next opponent may be – and it seems like the 28-year-old may have just ‘confirmed’ it.

Taking to social media, Jake shared a post which suggested he would be facing off against his very own brother in the ring.

“The moment you’ve waited a decade for… March 27th on @StreamOnMax,” he wrote on X, alongside a poster of himself and Logan.

The post featured few other details, leading many people to question whether or not the fight was real or just a wind-up to generate publicity.

“Is this a joke???” one person replied to the post, while a second commented: “This is a lie.”

“Will it be a real fight,” a third added.

Logan has since shared the same post and caption on his X page, with HBO also reposting both of the brothers’ announcements – which means, fight or not, something is definitely happening on 27 March.

Jake currently holds a boxing record of 11-1, with his only loss being against Tommy Fury in February 2023.

Jake has yet to step into the ring or even announce a new opponent since beating Tyson back in November, with many people online believing that Conor McGregor would be his next opponent.

Logan briefly pursued a career in boxing, fighting the likes of KSI and Floyd Mayweather Jr, before switching to wrestling. He joined WWE on part-time basis back in 2022, previously holding the United States Champion belt.

Fans were also keen to point out that Logan’s March announcement with HBO would clash with a prospective appearance at WrestleMania 41 in April, casting further doubt on whether or not this would be an actual fight.

The clashing schedules also didn’t go unnoticed by fans, with many speculating whether or not Logan would be able to take part in the hypothetical bout.

“WrestleMania is 3 weeks after this. No way WWE approves Logan to fight,” one user pointed out.

“Wait Logan Paul is going to be promoting Max, which hosts WWE’s biggest rivals? [AEW],” another added.

Fight or documentary then? Guess we’ll find out in March.
