The Shocking Connection

When you think of Jeff Bezos, the billionaire founder of Amazon, you picture one of the most powerful figures in the business world. His engagement to his glamorous fiancée had already captured headlines, but no one saw this twist coming. It turns out, she shares a child with a Chiefs star who not only shines on the football field but also has a professional role within Amazon.

This revelation broke through a series of viral posts from NFL fans, who expressed disbelief and curiosity. The connection between a tech mogul, a football star, and a high-profile fiancée reads like something straight out of a Hollywood script.

How the Story Unfolded

Rumors started swirling after photos surfaced from an NFL game where Jeff Bezos and his fiancée were seen interacting warmly with a Chiefs player. Internet detectives quickly pieced together clues, leading to the shocking discovery. Confirmations from credible sources soon followed, solidifying what many thought was just gossip.

Social media erupted. NFL fans flooded platforms with reactions, ranging from astonishment to speculation about how this dynamic might affect personal and professional relationships. Some fans joked about Bezos having “connections on and off the field,” while others pondered the complexities of co-parenting in such high-profile circumstances.

The Amazon-NFL Crossover

What adds another layer of intrigue is the Chiefs star’s role with Amazon. As part of Amazon’s growing involvement in sports broadcasting and tech partnerships with the NFL, this player had been working on projects related to streaming and athletic tech innovations. His dual career paths make this revelation even more compelling, intertwining the worlds of sports, technology, and personal relationships.

This connection raises questions about how personal relationships can influence professional dynamics, especially when high-stakes companies like Amazon are involved. Could this affect Amazon’s ongoing partnerships with the NFL? Will it lead to new collaborations, or cause tensions within these elite circles?

NFL Fans React

The fan reactions have been nothing short of explosive. Hashtags like #BezosNFLDrama and #ChiefsShock trended within hours of the news breaking. Some NFL fans expressed sympathy for all parties involved, while others couldn’t resist making memes that blended football humor with corporate satire.

One viral tweet read, “Jeff Bezos’ fiancée co-parenting with a Chiefs star who works for Amazon? This is the crossover episode we never knew we needed!” The combination of disbelief and amusement has kept this story at the forefront of sports and entertainment news.

The Bigger Picture

While the personal lives of celebrities often become public fodder, this situation touches on broader themes. It highlights the increasingly blurred lines between personal relationships and professional networks, especially among the elite. Jeff Bezos, as the founder of one of the world’s most influential companies, is no stranger to media scrutiny. But this story adds an unexpected twist to his already fascinating life narrative.

Additionally, the involvement of an NFL star who juggles a sports career with a corporate role at Amazon showcases the evolving nature of athlete careers beyond the field. It’s a reminder that today’s athletes are not just sports figures; they are entrepreneurs, influencers, and, in this case, key players in a real-life drama that has captivated millions.

Final Thoughts

The revelation that Jeff Bezos’ fiancée has a child with a Chiefs star who also works for Amazon is more than just a juicy headline. It’s a fascinating intersection of sports, business, and personal life that has caught the attention of fans and media worldwide. As the story continues to unfold, it will be interesting to see how it impacts both the personal dynamics involved and the professional landscapes of the NFL and Amazon.

Elon Musk Drops a Design Bomb: No Stainless Steel in Future Teslas!

In a surprising turn of events, Elon Musk drops a design bomb: no stainless steel in future Teslas! This announcement has sent shockwaves through the automotive industry, especially among Tesla enthusiasts who admired the bold, futuristic design of the Cybertruck. The decision marks a significant shift in Tesla’s design philosophy and raises questions about the company’s future vehicle aesthetics and materials strategy.

Elon Musk Drops a Design Bomb: No Stainless Steel in Future Teslas!

Why Tesla Is Moving Away from Stainless Steel

The decision to abandon stainless steel in future Tesla models was not made lightly. While the Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton garnered massive attention for its durability and distinctive look, it also presented several challenges:

Manufacturing Complexity: Stainless steel is notoriously difficult to work with. Its rigidity makes it hard to mold, requiring specialized equipment that increases production costs and slows down the manufacturing process.

Weight Issues: Although stainless steel offers superior strength, it adds significant weight to the vehicle, potentially affecting efficiency and range—two critical factors for electric vehicles.

Cost Considerations: The price of stainless steel fluctuates with global markets, making it less predictable for large-scale production compared to traditional automotive materials like aluminum.

The Impact on Tesla’s Future Models

With Elon Musk dropping a design bomb: no stainless steel in future Teslas!, what can we expect from upcoming models? Tesla is likely to focus on materials that balance durability, efficiency, and aesthetic appeal. Here are some possibilities:

Advanced Aluminum Alloys: Lightweight and easier to work with, aluminum allows for sleek designs without compromising strength.

Carbon Fiber Composites: Though more expensive, carbon fiber offers unmatched strength-to-weight ratios, ideal for high-performance models.

Sustainable Materials: Reflecting Tesla’s commitment to sustainability, future designs might incorporate eco-friendly materials without sacrificing quality.

What This Means for the Cybertruck

While future Teslas will move away from stainless steel, the Cybertruck remains an iconic symbol of Tesla’s boldness. Its rugged design and stainless steel exoskeleton will continue to attract a niche market that values durability over conventional aesthetics. However, this could also mean the Cybertruck will be one of a kind, adding to its appeal as a collector’s item in the future.

Reactions from the Automotive Industry

The automotive community has mixed reactions to this bold move. Some praise the decision, noting that it allows Tesla to innovate with more advanced materials. Others express disappointment, believing that the Cybertruck’s stainless steel exoskeleton was a defining feature that set Tesla apart.

Industry experts believe this shift could influence other automakers as well. If Tesla, a leader in automotive innovation, moves away from stainless steel, competitors might reconsider their own materials strategy, focusing more on lightweight composites and sustainable options.

Elon Musk’s Vision Moving Forward

As always, Elon Musk drops a design bomb: no stainless steel in future Teslas! with a strategic vision in mind. Musk has consistently pushed the boundaries of what’s possible in automotive design and engineering. This latest decision reflects Tesla’s ongoing mission to improve vehicle performance, reduce production costs, and promote sustainability.

Mom found pushing daughter’s decomposing body around in wheelchair a year after she died

In a deeply unsettling incident that has left the community in shock, 77-year-old Joan Kathleen Turnell was found pushing her deceased daughter, Tracey Turnell, through the 17 & Central shopping centre in Walthamstow, England.

The discovery, made on November 7, 2023, revealed that Tracey’s body had been kept in their shared Leyton flat for over a year before this tragic revelation, the Daily Mail reports.

Neighbors had long complained about “horrendous smells” and a persistent fly infestation emanating from the Turnell residence. Housing association staff, responding to these concerns, attempted to inspect the property but were denied entry by Joan.

Determined to assess the situation, they decided to follow her to the High Street. In an attempt to convince them that her daughter was still alive, Joan wrapped Tracey’s remains in a red coat and wheeled her out in a wheelchair.

However, staff noticed a “vile smell” as she passed and promptly alerted the police.

Upon interception outside the shopping centre, authorities discovered Tracey’s “heavily decomposed body.”

An inquest at East London Coroner’s Court revealed that Joan suffered from severe mental health issues, including prolonged grief disorder, and had been sectioned under the Mental Health Act.

She was also diagnosed with a brain tumor. In a statement to the coroner, Joan expressed her profound attachment to her daughter, stating, “I kept Tracey with me because I couldn’t bear to part with her. I loved her too much.”

Tracey Turnell, born in October 1971, faced numerous health challenges throughout her life, including a curved spine, a damaged knee, and deformed arms.

She led a reclusive life, having no friends or romantic partners, and did not own a phone. Authorities were unable to find a photograph of her, and she had to be identified through DNA analysis.

Joan recounted that on the day of Tracey’s death, they had been watching a film together. When it ended, she attempted to speak to her daughter but received no response.

Joan could not recall the exact date of Tracey’s passing but believed it occurred around September 2022.

Due to the advanced state of decomposition, a pathologist was unable to determine the exact cause of Tracey’s death. Joan was not prosecuted for preventing the lawful burial of her daughter’s body.

Senior coroner Graeme Irvine acknowledged Joan’s severe mental health conditions and found it inhumane to summon her for live evidence, stating, “I don’t think the nature and quality of her evidence would have assisted me.”

This tragic case underscores the profound impact of mental health issues and the depths of a mother’s grief. It also highlights the importance of community awareness and intervention in preventing such heartbreaking outcomes.

As the community grapples with the emotional aftermath, support services have been made available for those affected. Authorities continue to urge anyone with additional information to come forward.

Olivia Ancelet, a one-year-old girl from Australia, was locked in the back of the vehicle as the temperature soared to 86°F.

Her father, Etienne Ancelet, arrived at a childcare center on Marana Rd in Earlwood around 5:30PM on Tuesday (February 4) to pick up his little girl, only to be told she had never been dropped off that morning, News.com.au reported.

It was at that moment he made the horrifying discovery that she was in fact still strapped in the car seat.

Emergency services raced to the scene following reports of a baby found unresponsive in a vehicle. Tragically, Olivia was pronounced dead.

In a joint statement to the publication, Ancelet and Olivia’s mother, Kim Visconti, described their daughter as the “light of our lives” and a “sweet and beautiful baby”.

“We are humbled and grateful for the time we had her. We are devastated by what has unfolded,” they said. “We do not wish this on any parent. We will always cherish our time with our beautiful girl. She was loved by all that knew her… It is an unimaginable time of sorrow for us.”

Roy Gomes, a neighbor who rushed to help, recalled hearing Ancelet’s agonizing screams before realizing what had happened.

“My neighbor came across and he said, ‘Can you hear that screaming?’ so I turned the lawnmower off,” Gomes told Newswire. “When I got there, I saw [Ancelet] with the baby in [his] arms, and he was just panicking.

“We didn’t know what to do. I said, ‘Let’s try and give her CPR, do our best,’” he said, sharing the devastating words the father screamed as the reality sank in: “[Ancelet] was screaming, poor guy, he kept screaming, ‘I’ve killed my daughter.'”

Neighbors did everything they could, pouring water on Olivia to cool her down, but it was too late.

“She was just floppy,” Gomes said. “I didn’t sleep much last night, just because I could see the little baby’s face all night, but it’s just something you do.”

New South Wales Police Superintendent Christine McDonald described Olivia’s death as “an absolute tragedy” and “a most traumatic event” when speaking to the media at a press conference.

She also emphasized the dangers of leaving a child in a vehicle, even for a short time. “Leaving a child in a vehicle at any time can be dangerous. Leaving a child inside a vehicle for an extended period of time can be deadly,” McDonald stated.

McDonald disclosed that all lines of inquiry were being investigated by detectives, and added that it was still not known when the baby was left in the car.

“The timeline of events – we need to seek that information from people that we’re currently speaking to or waiting to speak to,” she concluded.

According to Herald Sun, a male occupant of the vehicle, believed to be a relative of the child, is assisting police with their investigation.

Jeffrey Epstein’s surprising final prison visitor revealed

Jeffrey Epstein’s final visitor before he died by suicide has been revealed, and many have raised their eyebrows about who it was.

Epstein, 66, was booked into prison in July 2019 on federal charges of sex trafficking underage girls and conspiracy to engage in sex trafficking, with some of his victims as young as 14.

Shortly after going into custody, Epstein was segregated from the general population for his own safety, but he requested time for outdoor activities.

The New York Post reported that following the judge denying his bail on July 18, the 66-year-old’s mental health began to decline and he attempted to take his own life.

Following an initial unsuccessful attempt, he died by suicide a few days later in his cell and his death has since been the center of widespread debate.

The Daily Mail has recently revealed the final visitor that the disgraced financier had before he died, and it will come as a surprise to many that he was in a relationship.

Karyna Shuliak, a Belarusian dentist, was identified as Epstein’s girlfriend in 2020, but images show the pair together dating back to 2014.

She was also the last person that the financier had talked to on the phone the day before his death on August 10.

New records have revealed that 30-year-old Shuliak visited Epstein in person 11 days prior on July 30 at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan.

The couple reportedly had a “very serious relationship” dating back seven years, and Epstein was very affectionate when it came to Shuliak.

He reportedly ordered his lawyers to leave the room during his final phone call with her, and following a release of documents after a freedom of information request, Shuliak is confirmed to have seen Epstein at 05:15 PM on July 30, 2019.

As reported by the Daily Mail, a source revealed how excited Epstein was to speak to his girlfriend. “Everyone had to leave the room because he was so eager to get on the phone,” the source said.

They continued: “If he didn’t use the phone right then he would miss his window so the meeting ended abruptly and he went to use the phone and the lawyers all left.”

The call was recorded and although the contents have never been released, it is thought that nothing during the conversation led investigators to believe that Epstein was planning on taking his own life.

Shuliak is believed to have arrived in the US in 2009 and married Epstein associate Jennifer Kalin in what is rumored to have been a marriage that would allow her to remain in the country.

In the years that followed, the Belarusian remained with Epstein despite him having multiple sexual partners, and he in turn funded her mother’s expensive medical treatment and helped upscale their home.

Shuliak’s whereabouts are currently unknown.

Ripa and Consuelos first crossed paths in 1995 when the Riverdale star joined the cast of All My Children, where Ripa, now 54, played Hayley Vaughan.

A year later, in May 1996, the couple tied the knot and went on to welcome three children: Michael, 27, Lola, 23, and Joaquin, 21.

On Wednesday (February 5), during the latest episode of Live with Kelly and Mark, Consuelos shared heartbreaking news.

In addition to their kids, the couple have also been proud pet parents to two beloved dogs: four-year-old Lena and 17-year-old Chewie.

The 53-year-old announced on the show that the last 24 hours had been incredibly difficult for the couple, as Chewie had sadly passed away.

“We had to say goodbye to Chewie,” he told the audience, explaining that the family pet’s health had been declining in recent weeks.

“Chewie had stopped eating for a couple days and had been eating less and less for the past few weeks. She was extremely dehydrated and had some neurological stuff going on,” Consuelos shared, cited by Entertainment Weekly.

“You think, okay, I’m doing the right thing. This isn’t going to be easy, but it’s probably one of the toughest things we’ve had to do as a married couple. Thank God we haven’t had any tragedy befall us like that, but she was just a great part of our life,” he added.

Ripa, clearly overwhelmed with emotion, stayed mostly silent as her husband spoke about how much Chewy impacted their lives. But when he reminisced about adopting their beloved dog on the show and how she had “grown up with our kids,” Ripa couldn’t hold back her tears.

“I’m really sorry. I thought I got it all out, guys. I really thought I got it all out, and I apologize because I did not. This is not how I wanted this to go down. God, she gave us so much,” Ripa said, her voice cracking.

“We’re filled with gratitude for this dog. I apologize, I’m so sorry. She gave us so much. As each one of our kids left for college and then moved out on their own, Chewie remained right there like our steadfast companion,” she added.

Ripa took a moment to acknowledge how fortunate she and Consuelos have been, admitting she felt guilty crying when “there are much bigger problems in the world”

The talk show host found a bit of humor in the bittersweet moment, laughing through tears as she described the way friends, neighbors, and even their mail carrier stopped by to bid farewell to her precious pooch before she passed.

“She was very much like a cat, you know, in a lot of ways. She pet you when she wanted affection,” Ripa said, before breaking down again as she described her final moments with Chewie.

“She never let us kiss her face. She was very precious about her face. She was not that dog. And, after she passed away last night, I kissed her a thousand times on the face, I kissed her nose. I’d never kissed her nose before. And I know that she was like, somewhere in dog heaven, pissed! But, I didn’t care because it was just so nice to have that,” she shared.

As Ripa and the audience tried to compose themselves, Consuelos wrapped things up with a comforting message. “We’re going to get through it all together,” he assured his wife and the crew before continuing with the show.

Second tourist dies days after British influencer in Sri Lankan hostel as police look into 'possibility of toxic chemicals'

The Brit’s family said she died within a few hours of being rushed to hospital

Police are investigating the possibility of toxic chemicals after the death of a second tourist staying at a hostel in Sri Lanka.

British influencer Ebony McIntosh was taken to hospital in the capital Colombo on Saturday (1 February) as police say she was reportedly suffering with vomiting, nausea and breathing difficulties. The 24-year-old, from Derby, had a sudden death.

And German national Nadine Raguse has been named as the second person to day after staying at the Miracle Colombo City hostel. The 26-year-old also reportedly fell critically ill.

McIntosh’s cause of death has not yet been identified as a post-mortem examination will take place after her family arrive in the South Asian country on Monday (10 February).

The British Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office said: “We are supporting the family of a British woman who died in Sri Lanka, and are in contact with the local authorities.”

The digital marketing and social media manager was just days into the first week of her ‘dream holiday’ as tributes describe her as the ‘kindest, funniest, and most determined person’.

Sri Lanka Police spokesperson Buddhika Manatunga said that a room in the hostel had been fumigated to treat bed bugs before McIntosh and Raguse fell ill.

And officers are now investigating the possibility that the women’s deaths were a result of poisoning by noxious pesticides.

The Miracle Colombo City hostel has now been temporarily closed until the post-mortem takes place.

McIntosh’s younger sister, India, wrote in a tribute: “To my Ebony, my beautiful sister, thank you, thank you for being my older sister, one better than I could’ve ever asked for.

“I am truly heartbroken, I can’t believe I am writing this, it feels like some nightmare I haven’t woken up from yet. We will get justice for you, you had so much life left to live.”

Her family have since started a GoFundMe to help raise funds to be able to get over to Sri Lanka in order to ‘bring her back home’.

India wrote they are ‘absolutely heartbroken’ as they described it as ‘like a nightmare’.

Before her trip was ‘cruelly cut short’, she explained: “She was full of excitement for her adventures ahead, in typical Ebony style she had spent months researching and planning and drawing up schedules for the coming months.”

It’s added that she ‘sadly and tragically’ passed away ‘within a few hours’ of arriving at the hospital.

How remote tribe can swim underwater for five hours a day as incredible footage shows their ability

How remote tribe can swim underwater for five hours a day as incredible footage shows their ability

This lot have truly adapted to a life living off the sea

It felt like the biggest brag as a kid if you could hold your breath under water for 10 seconds.

You and your mates would be having competitions at the pool to see who could last the longest before a teacher or lifeguard, or just any sense-talking adult would have a go and tell you to put a stop to it. But despite how long you would show off about swimming underwater for, it has nothing on this lot.

As the remote tribe of the Bajau people can swim underwater for five hours a day with incredible footage showing their amazing ability:

But while you might think it’s because of them having whopper lung capacity, it’s something else that’s the key reason for them being able to do this.

Living across Indonesia, Malaysia and the Philippines they are actually better endowed in the spleen department.

A study found they have a ‘mutated gene’ in the form of PDE10A, which correlates with a larger spleen size, helping them stay underwater for longer.

The Bajau can spend hours each day swimming underwater, able to hold their breath for several minutes at a time while also being able to dive down to incredible depths.

The University of Copenhagen’s Melissa Ilardo, one of the authors of the study of the Bajau, told the BBC’s Inside Science programme: “For possibly thousands of years, [they] have been living on house boats, travelling from place to place in the waters of South-East Asia and visiting land only occasionally. So everything they need, they get from the sea.

Bigger spleens means better diving. (BBC Global/YouTube)

Bigger spleens means better diving. (BBC Global/YouTube)

“When they’re diving in the traditional way, they dive repeatedly for about eight hours a day, spending about 60 percent of their time underwater. So this could be anything from 30 seconds to several minutes, but they’re diving to depths of over 70m.”

In case you’re confused, let’s clear up why having a larger spleen helps in this department.

When you hold your breath and submerge yourself in water it triggers a dive response which slows down your heart rate and makes the blood vessels in your extremities smaller in order to preserve supply for your vital organs.

The spleen then contracts due to the dive response, with Ilardo describing it like ‘a reservoir for oxygenated red blood cells’ that functions ‘like a biological scuba tank’.

In fact, her study of the Bajau found that they had spleens that were about 50 percent larger than their neighbours.

However, a life so closely connected to the sea also means they’ve been among the most affected by climate change and ecological devastation of the oceans, as they’re often the first to suffer from things going wrong in the sea.

Damaged coral reefs have affected their way of life and they’ve seen significantly fewer fish in the sea, which is a major danger to people who for centuries have cultivated the ocean’s bounty.

There are also concerns that their culture is suffering in other ways due to the pollution of plastic.

Santarawi Lalisan, an elder statesman of the tribe, told Giuseppe from Project Happiness that their culture is now dying due to Western ways.

He said: “A lot of plastic has arrived here because today the Badjao go to the supermarket and here they use plastic and no longer paper. In the past, the Badjao only used paper when they were buying something.”

Gino D'Acampo faces 'multiple allegations of sexually inappropriate behaviour'

Gino D’Acampo has been accused of inappropriate and intimidating behaviour

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo has been accused of ‘inappropriate and intimidating behaviour’ from dozens of people over the past 12 years, according to an ITV News investigation.

ITV News has reported that ‘at least one production company was aware of multiple concerns’ made by crew members, ‘but continued to work with him’.

D’Acampo firmly denies the allegations.

A woman named Hannah told the outlet that D’Acampo allegedly made highly inappropriate, sexual comments to her during a magazine shoot in 2011, in front of the whole crew.

She said the comments made her feel ‘very, very, very small… I felt like Gino, in that moment, was very entitled and he felt very safe’.

“He did not think that was an inappropriate thing to say to me,” Hannah added as the people besides her at the time allegedly ‘looked nervously into their cups of tea’.

Gino D’Acampo’s legal team said of this accusation: “This allegation from almost 15 years ago has never, until now via a media request for comment, been raised or put to Mr D’Acampo.

“He does not recall it, nor accept that this happened. Mr D’Acampo is horrified to be accused of ‘power play’ and an ‘aggressive act’. He emphatically and unequivocally denies these allegations.”

Another woman, in which the outlet is calling ‘Natalie’, has opened up about an alleged incident during a location TV shoot.

“He opened the door in his boxer shorts, nothing else. And jumped on the bed and was sort of – leg up,” she said. “I think he feels he’s in a position of power and he can say and do what he wants. I see it all as quite aggressive, really. I didn’t want to do it anymore. Didn’t want to do the production, didn’t want to be anywhere near him.”

D’Acampo’s legal team has also denied these accusations.

“Mr D’Acampo categorically denies these allegations of inappropriate sexual behaviour,” they said.

“To his knowledge no such allegations have been made against him in relation to his time on Gino’s Italian Express and this is the first time, six years later, he has been informed of these alleged incidents, and he does not accept them, not least because some of this is considered by Mr D’Acampo to be a fabricated work of fiction.”

LADbible Group has contacted Gino D’Acampo’s representatives for additional comment.

ITV provided a statement to LADbible, which reads: “ITV is completely committed to creating an environment where everyone is treated with respect and feels able to give of their best. Our promise to those we work with is that where a complaint is made, or serious concern raised, we will always investigate and if we find that something inappropriate has happened, we will take action.

“The same standards are expected of all production companies who make programmes on ITV’s behalf. It is production companies who have the primary responsibility for the duty of care of everyone they work with, both on and off screen, when making shows. We make clear our expectations of producers and have robust and comprehensive policies which we implement contractually.

“We have strengthened these policies in the last 5 years and have set up a dedicated Complaints Handling Unit in 2024 to manage any complaints we receive about on screen presenters and ensure ITV has a centralised view across different productions.

“The standards of behaviour that ITV expects are very clear. Everyone working with ITV is subject to ITV’s Code of Ethics and Conduct. At ITV we treat everyone with courtesy, fairness, dignity and respect and do not tolerate abusive behaviour of any form in the workplace. We have also reiterated our expectations of our on screen presenters’ behaviour through our Conduct and Standards Guidelines for On Screen Personalities issued in 2024. All of the concerns and complaints raised by those who have spoken to ITN describe behaviour which is inappropriate and unacceptable.

“Most of them were not reported to ITV at the time. Where issues have been raised with ITV action has been taken. We can only act where we know that concerns have been raised, and will now be following up on those that had not previously been reported to us.

“If anyone has experienced or witnessed inappropriate behaviour while working on an ITV show, we encourage them to raise their concerns with us either directly or through our confidential speaking up hotline Safecall (www.safecall.co.uk/report).”

Death row inmate's chilling last words as wife held up dog to watch before execution

Steven Lawayne Nelson, 37, was pronounced dead 24 minutes after the lethal injection was administered

The wife of a death row inmate who was put to death on Wednesday (5 February) held up their dog to watch his final moments.

Steven Lawayne Nelson was executed by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas, after spending 13 years locked up for the murder of a pastor.

He was put on death row after being convicted of beating, strangling and suffocating Reverend Clint Dobson, 28, during a robbery at the NorthPointe Baptist Church in 2011, while his secretary, Judy Elliot, was badly beaten but ended up surviving.

Nelson denied killing Dobson, however, saying he was at the church to be a lookout for the robbery, claiming that Dobson and Elliot were already on the floor when he arrived and were still breathing.

The 37-year-old had maintained his innocence despite being convicted by a jury in 2012, and each of his appeals were denied by state and federal courts.

Marking the second execution to take place in the US since the start of the year, Nelson was pronounced dead at 6.50pm local time on Wednesday evening.

The 37-year-old made a series of chilling remarks as the process got underway, most of which were in reference to his wife Helene Noa Dubois, who got married two weeks before his execution date, according to AP.

In his final moments, Nelson repeatedly told his spouse that he loved and appreciated her while she watched on through a window a short distance away.

Dubois had brought their white dog into the witness area, which she scooped up in her arms to watch the execution as Nelson said: “Give Monkey a hug for me.”

Addressing his wife, Nelson said: “It is what it is,” before encouraging her to ‘enjoy life’.

“I’m not scared, it’s cold s**t in here,” the killer added. “But I’m at peace, I’m ready to be at home. Let’s ride, Warden.”

As the lethal dose of pentobarbital was administered, Nelson reportedly told Dubois to ‘let him go to sleep’ before he was seen mouthing the word ‘love’.

AP reported that he then briefly began trembling as the drug took effect, before he was pronounced dead 24 minutes later.

Nelson’s ‘spiritual advisor’ Jeff Hood was also present at the execution and told USA Today: “It took them forever to declare that he had passed. He fought to the very end.”

Nelson was the first of four death row inmates who are set to be put to death in the States over the next three months.

He previously revealed that he had left it up to Dubois – who he connected with while in prison – to decide whether she wanted to witness his final moments.

Nelson explained his relationship with the French native began on a friendly basis, but as ‘the years progressed, the love and the feelings progressed more’, telling AFP: “I’ve never had human contact with her, it’s always been behind glass.

“When someone can love you behind glass and not touch you, or see what your scent smells like, none of that, and still love you deeply, unconditionally, that is something wonderful.”

Discussing her watching his execution, Nelson said: “I really don’t want her to see that, me getting pumped full of drugs and being overdosed with drugs to kill me, to make my heart stop.

“I think that would leave a bad impression. That would override the good memories we’ve had over the years, to always close her eyes and see that. But if she makes that choice to be there then that’s her choice.”

Nelson was also indicted over the death of another inmate who was murdered in 2012, however, he was never tried for this charge.
