Mother-of-two Tess reckons your ‘best chance of overcoming this disease’ is by finding it early

A woman who had stage four colon cancer has revealed the alarming symptoms that she experienced ten months before she received a diagnosis.

Tess, better known online as @thegreenthumbmum, has urged people to pay close attention to their bodies as she believes ‘early detection is the best form of cure’.

The mother-of-two, from Australia, explained she first began noticing warning signs just under a year before doctors finally pinpointed what was wrong with her.

She was later informed that she had colon cancer (also known as bowel cancer), which is one of the most common types of the disease in the UK.

The number of cases are increasing amongst adults between 20 and 50, averaging to be up 7.3 per cent each year for in 30 to 39 year olds, Cancer Research UK has also reported.

According to the NHS, it can be found anywhere inside the large bowl, including the colon and rectum.

“How serious bowel cancer is depends on how big the cancer is, if the cancer has spread, and your general health,” it adds, explaining that screening can help detect it early which ‘may mean it’s easier to treat’.

Tess told her more than 15,000 followers on TikTok that she hoped that sharing the details of her symptoms could ‘help someone else’ out there who might be dealing with something similar.

“Your best chance of overcoming this disease is by finding it early,” the mother – who has two daughters aged 2 and 6 – said.

Tess told how she was left crippled by ‘extreme stomach cramping’ in the months before her diagnosis, which continued to worsen over time.

She explained that it was ‘mild’ at first, but later progressed ‘to the point where she would be on the floor in the fetal position’ because it was ‘so painful’.

The TikToker said the cramps felt similar to pain which someone with endometriosis might experience, adding that the source of her discomfort was always located ‘very low in her abdomen’.

Despite having blood tests, there wasn’t any cancer detected in Tess’ sample – however, the results did raise some other red flags.

“I had very low iron and I was also anaemic,” the social media user said, explaining that she didn’t consider this to be ‘worrisome’ at the time as she’s been dealing with those issues her ‘whole adult life’.

Another more obvious symptom that Tess had colon cancer was that she noticed blood in her stool, which is a common sign of the disease.

She urged people to check in with their doctor as soon as they can if they notice blood in the toilet bowl or on their tissue too – as the location of the stuff doesn’t really matter.

“People become very specific about where the blood was,” she continued. “It doesn’t matter if it’s on the paper, if it’s in the bowl, if it’s in the stool – it is a worry.

“Blood in stool or paper is never normal and it should always be investigated, so no matter where it is, you should still follow up on where that blood is coming from.”

Another symptom Tess experienced was a change in her bowel habits, which she said can often indicate that someone might have a blockage in their colon.

She recalled how her stools became ‘very thin’ and ‘small’ in the months before her diagnosis, seeing her tell the doctor that her two-year-old child was producing bigger ones than she was.

“And that for me was a big red flag,” Tess said. “A lot of these symptoms got put down to postpartum, I was 18 months postpartum when I started to go to the doctor about these symptoms.

“So that’s why a lot of it was kind of washed under the bridge,” she added, explaining that medics also pointed to dairy intolerance and celiac disease as reasons for Tess’ symptoms.

She reminded social media users that this wasn’t an exclusive list, but rather her individual experience – as unlike a lot of bowel cancer patients, she ‘never experienced bloating’.

“Please keep in mind that there are other symptoms as well,” she added. “It might present in each person differently.”

Tess urged anyone watching who has been experiencing similar stuff to check in with their GP and press for a colonoscopy if they suspect they might have bowel cancer.

She later took to the comment section of her video to explain further, adding that because she had haemorrhoids, her doctor didn’t perform a colonoscopy because they ‘assumed it was due to those’.

“It ended up being both,” Tess said. “My gastro told me I was ‘overreacting’ when I said I thought it might be cancer and that I was probably just constipated.

“He then did the colonoscopy and was pretty embarrassed. Keep seeing doctors until someone listens.”

Tess says she is currently cancer free and in remission, telling her followers she is ‘healthy and better than ever now.”

“But that was a tough time,” she added. “Doctors never said a ‘life expectancy’, as I won’t be dying from this disease and always had a good chance at overcoming it.”

Being in space will have quite an impact on your body

NASA astronauts Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore and Sunita ‘Suni’ Williams have safely returned to Earth after their eight day mission on board the International Space Station turned into a nine month stay in space.

While they could have returned at an earlier date if they so desired, it made the most sense for them to remain in space so the ISS could continue to be fully crewed, and the pair have been busy with hundreds of experiments during their extra time off-planet.

Nine months is a long time to spend in space and any period away from the planet is going to start having an impact on the body.

Images of the astronauts being stretchered away after splashing down safely in the sea yesterday (18 March) gave some indication of the changes that can occur to the human body in space.

Before they set off the pair were pictured in June 2024 ahead of what they had expected to be a trip of little over a week in space.

The ‘after’ images have shown some of what being in space does to the human body.

The astronauts were stretchered away, which is completely normal as they’ve been away from Earth’s gravity for a while and their bodies need time to readjust to being out of the weightlessness of space.

Unfortunately, space takes a toll on the human body and like former astronauts before them Wilmore and Williams will need a period of rehabilitation to recover from the effects of the cosmos.

A loss of bone density and muscle mass are two of the most pronounced effects of being in space, as for about every month spent in space an astronaut’s bone density drops by about one percent.

They didn’t think it was gonna be a long, long time till touchdown brought them round again, but the astronauts will be physically weaker and more fragile than they were when they left.

Some observers have noticed that the astronauts look a little more gaunt than when they left, which is understandable if they’ve been losing mass.

Suni Williams has also started showing some grey hair, though images of her on board the ISS from months past also showed this change in her so it can’t have been that stressful a splashdown.

The pair are nine months older and have just spent it in an environment which has a pronounced change on the human body, it’s only natural they’d look a little different to when they left.

However, the real changes are the ones you can’t see.

Their hearts will have become weaker as the internal organ hasn’t had to work as hard to pump blood around their bodies.

Various other fluids will have built up in their head and not drained thanks to gravity, so they may be feeling as though they’ve caught a cold in space but it’ll soon pass now they’re back on Earth.

Something they might really have to worry about is what space does to the shape of the human eye, reducing eyesight and weakening their vision.

Meanwhile, that exposure to cosmic radiation will have had an impact on their very DNA, but previous experiments indicate that most of the damage will be repaired within a few months.

He’d been talking about how his parents ‘supported me through everything’

Stephen Graham was brought to tears during a recent radio interview as he spoke about the support his dad gave him throughout his career.

The iconic actor has been gaining heaps of praise for his recent Netflix series Adolescence, where he plays a father whose son (Owen Cooper) is accused of murdering a classmate.

With four episodes each shot in one continuous take many viewers have found Adolescence absolutely gripping, as well as a disturbing introduction to the world of the ‘manosphere’, the terms they use and the worldview they induct men and boys into.

Graham was recently chatting to Capital Radio about the inspiration his dad gave to him, telling hosts Jordan North and Sian Welby that his dad used to get him movie posters for his wall including one of the Martin Scorsese film Taxi Driver.

The Adolescence star described the moment he got to tell his dad he’d be working with the director and the movie’s main star Robert De Niro on 2019’s The Irishman.

Welby said ‘it must have been the proudest moment’ as Graham recounted the emotional conversation with his dad.

He said: “I went, ‘Dad, you’ll never guess who I’m going to be working with’, and he’s like ‘Who?’ and I went, ‘Marty’s asked me to do a film again’.

“And he’s like, ‘That’s amazing son!’, and I went ‘Yeah’.”

At this point Graham started welling up with tears and told the studio ‘oh I’ve gone’, but ploughed on to describe how much his parents supported him throughout his life.

“You know, he proper backed me, and me mum. They supported me throughout everything. Do you know what I mean? All the struggles you go through and everything,” the celebrated actor said, before pausing to let his interviewers know ‘me contact lens has fallen out’.

“And he was, yeah, you can imagine it was unbelievable.”

Graham told the hosts his dad ‘was so proud’, while North apologised by saying ‘we didn’t want to make you cry today’.

“All it takes is one person doesn’t it? To help you achieve your goal, or to believe in the dream you have,” he said of his parents.

“It takes that one person and my dad was that person. And my mum.”

Graham and De Niro recently reunited on the sofa of The One Show during an episode last week (13 March) where he got a chance to personally tell his co-star from The Irishman what an inspiration he was.

The actor explained that when he was younger he told his father he wanted to properly get into acting, so his father rented The GodfatherTaxi Driver and The Deer Hunter to watch.

He said: “We went home and we watched these three films and we watched them all over the weekend.

“And, you know, it was just, you were the beginning of my whole love of favourite films, really.

“I don’t think I ever told you that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

This got a big grin from De Niro.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Insane Spending Habits: You Won’t Believe It!

Mark Zuckerberg’s Insane Spending Habits: You Won’t Believe It!

Mark Zuckerberg’s Insane Spending Habits: You Won’t Believe It!

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, is one of the most influential and wealthiest tech billionaires in the world. Since the birth of Facebook, Zuckerberg has not only built a social media empire but also amassed an enormous fortune that allows him to enjoy a lavish and powerful lifestyle. This article explores his massive wealth, luxurious assets, and the extravagant items he simply cannot live without.

The Tech Empire and His Massive Fortune

Mark Zuckerberg began his journey to billionaire status as a student at Harvard University. With a groundbreaking idea for a social networking platform, he and his team launched Facebook in 2004. The platform quickly gained popularity and fundamentally changed the way billions of people interact worldwide. As a result, Zuckerberg’s net worth skyrocketed. Today, his fortune is estimated at over 100 billion dollars, securing his place among the richest individuals on the planet.

Following the transformation of Facebook into Meta Platforms, Zuckerberg expanded his tech empire, acquiring Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. This strategic move increased his financial power, cementing his status as a dominant figure in the world of technology. He is not just a company founder but a symbol of modern wealth and influence.

Lavish Mansions and Exclusive Living Spaces

One of the most striking aspects of Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth is his collection of luxury real estate. In 2011, he purchased a multimillion-dollar mansion in Palo Alto, California, for 7 million dollars. Over time, he expanded and upgraded the property, turning it into a private sanctuary with state-of-the-art facilities such as a home gym, an infinity pool, and a private movie theater.

Beyond California, Zuckerberg owns an entire private island in Hawaii, valued at an astonishing 100 million dollars. The island offers complete privacy and breathtaking landscapes, making it the ultimate retreat for a billionaire lifestyle. The estate is equipped with top-tier security systems and a self-sustaining energy supply, ensuring Zuckerberg can live comfortably away from the public eye.

Luxury Cars: Symbols of Wealth and Power

Although Mark Zuckerberg is known for his minimalist fashion, his car collection is anything but simple. Among his most impressive vehicles is the Porsche 911, a high-performance sports car that represents both luxury and speed. Additionally, he owns a Tesla Model S, showcasing his commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Despite his vast fortune, Zuckerberg is not often seen in extravagant vehicles. Instead, he is known to drive relatively modest cars, such as the Honda Fit and the Volkswagen Golf GTI. This approach aligns with his public image, which portrays him as a focused tech entrepreneur rather than a flashy celebrity billionaire.

Yachts and Luxurious Getaways

As a person who enjoys traveling, Mark Zuckerberg does not hold back when it comes to extravagant vacations. One of his most prized possessions is a luxury yacht, fully equipped with a swimming pool, spa, and a private helipad. His yacht allows him to escape to some of the world’s most exclusive destinations, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean.

Besides his private yacht, Zuckerberg and his family frequently enjoy vacations at the world’s most prestigious resorts. These trips include stays at five-star hotels, private islands, and exclusive beach resorts. For Zuckerberg, these high-end retreats serve as a way to recharge while maintaining the balance between work and personal life.

Exclusive Watches and High-End Fashion

Although Zuckerberg is famous for his simple wardrobe, consisting mostly of gray t-shirts and jeans, he still owns a collection of luxury accessories. Among them is a Rolex watch worth millions of dollars. While he may not flaunt his fashion sense as much as other billionaires, his collection of luxury items demonstrates his appreciation for fine craftsmanship and exclusive brands.

Unlike other tech billionaires, Zuckerberg does not often appear in designer suits or extravagant red-carpet outfits. Instead, his approach to fashion is practical and consistent, reinforcing his image as a dedicated entrepreneur rather than a high-profile socialite. However, behind the scenes, his luxury collection speaks volumes about his status as a top-tier billionaire.

Private Jets and VIP Travel Experiences

Despite his preference for a low-profile lifestyle, Mark Zuckerberg spares no expense when it comes to private air travel. He reportedly owns or leases a private jet, ensuring that his business trips and vacations remain comfortable and efficient. With his vast wealth, he has access to some of the most elite flight services, including personalized cateringonboard entertainment systems, and top-tier security.

Having a private jet allows Zuckerberg to travel with maximum privacy and efficiency, avoiding the hassles of commercial airports. It also enables him to conduct business meetings across multiple continents without disruption, ensuring his tech empire continues to thrive.

A Billionaire Lifestyle with a Low-Key Approach

image_67d8d142cfcbb Mark Zuckerberg’s Insane Spending Habits: You Won’t Believe It!

Despite his immense wealth, Mark Zuckerberg maintains a surprisingly low-key lifestyle. He avoids extravagant celebrity parties and focuses more on business innovation and philanthropy. His everyday look—simple t-shirts, hoodies, and sneakers—suggests humility, but his financial empire tells a different story.

While Zuckerberg may not be as showy as some other billionaires, his vast collection of luxury properties, high-end vehicles, and exclusive assets places him among the world’s most powerful figures. He controls a social media empire that shapes how billions of people connect, communicate, and consume digital content.

The Ultimate Takeaway: Zuckerberg’s Wealth and Global Influence

Mark Zuckerberg is more than just a tech billionaire. He is a visionary entrepreneur who has built one of the most valuable companies in the world. His wealth allows him to indulge in luxurious properties, elite travel experiences, and high-end possessions, yet he remains focused on expanding his digital empire.

For those fascinated by the lives of the rich and powerful, Mark Zuckerberg serves as the perfect example of modern wealth, technological dominance, and strategic investments. His success story is a testament to how innovation, risk-taking, and business acumen can lead to extraordinary financial power.

Philanthropy: A Billionaire’s Commitment to Giving Back

Beyond his luxurious lifestyle, Mark Zuckerberg is also known for his philanthropic efforts. In 2015, he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, pledged to donate 99% of their Facebook shares—worth billions of dollars—to charitable causes through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. This organization focuses on education, healthcare, and scientific research, aiming to improve global living standards. His commitment to giving back reflects a deeper purpose beyond wealth, proving that his influence extends far beyond the world of technology. Despite his lavish assets, Zuckerberg’s impact on society remains one of his greatest legacies.

Thomas Turgoose previously said that ‘everyone involved in This is England is family to me’

The British actor may go down as one of the most talented in history, but he’s also known for his caring nature and support for others in the industry.

The 51-year-old is known to have supported actress Jodie Comer, also from Liverpool, early in her career, to the point where she thanked him in her BAFTA speech in 2019.

Graham, who is the star of new Netflix hit series Adolescence, had to wait for his career breakthrough, finding it in 2006 with his role as Combo in This Is England.

Following his role in the drama, he would go on to star in huge films such as The Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and The Irishman, among other notable titles.

But apart from starring in hit films and TV series, the actor is also known for developing strong relationships with cast members on his projects.

One of these actors was Thomas Turgoose, who played Shaun Fields in This Is England.

Aged just 13 at the time, he played a young boy that became involved in a gang of skinheads, of which Combo (Graham) was part of.

While he starts out by idolising the gang member, his violent and racist nature is eventually realised by the teenager.

Away from the screen though, Turgoose was undergoing a troubled time at home, as his mother Sharon passed away due to lung cancer.

As a result, the film was dedicated to her, as he recalled on a 2021 episode of the Private Parts podcast, adding: “Stephen Graham promised my mum he’d look out for me.

“Everyone involved in This is England are family to me.”

Following the tragic loss, he was set to move in with his estranged father, before Graham and Meadows offered to give him a home.

“When my mum died I moved in with my dad and I didn’t know him, so Shane Meadows and Stephen Graham were going to adopt me if things didn’t work out with my dad,” Turgoose explained.

Despite the rocky period, Turgoose went on to star in further instalments of the film series; This Is England ’86 in 2010, This Is England ’88 the year after, and This Is England ’90 in 2015.

But his life could have very nearly gone another way entirely.

Turgoose claimed that he was destined for prison before landing the role as Shaun, revealing: “I was destined for prison. Shoplifting things I didn’t need.

“There was a hardware store in Grimsby that I used to steal spray paint from for no reason.”

The actor eventually married his long-term partner Charlotte Revell in 2018, and invited several This Is England co-stars, including Graham.

In a post on Instagram, the 33-year-old shared a photo of himself and his bride with his co-stars, simply captioning it: “Family.”

What Sean 'Diddy' Combs said to Kanye West in phone call 'he didn't know was being recorded'

The two rappers enjoyed a conversation while Diddy awaits his criminal trial from behind bars.

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Kanye West have been shooting the s**t over the phone as the former awaits his sex trafficking and racketeering trial from prison.

It comes as the College Dropout rapper and his ex-wife Kim Kardashian continue their feud over a new track (titled ‘Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine’) featuring Combs and their 11-year-old daughter North West.

West, who sparked outrage with some Ku Klux Klan-style clothing earlier this month, is reportedly restricted from releasing the song as Kardashian has trademarked the child’s name.

In their conversation, which was recorded at an unknown date and allegedly without Combs’ knowledge, according to The New York Post, the 55-year-old had some strong opinions for West to digest.

A video obtained by The Shade Room sees Combs telling the 47-year-old: “When I get out there, man, I want to see you f*****g tear down the stadiums. I need to see you back on that stage, f*****g actually rapping and f*****g performing and everything. I be dreaming of that s**t.”

Combs was reportedly dialling in from the Metropolitan Detention Centre in Brooklyn, New York, where he is currently being detained.

The music mogul, 55, has been charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and transportation to engage in prostitution, and is currently scheduled to face trial in May 2025. He’s denied all of the charges brought against him and pleaded not guilty to the three felony charges.

“Tell you real from the frontline. This s**t is wicked, wicked, wicked, so you be careful. You can’t do nothing for just… I need you out there, you hear me?” Combs added in the call.

“I hear you, yes, sir,” replied West, as the disgraced music mogul reiterated: “And have some f*****g fun. Get behind the mic, have some fun. Chop up them samples, get back on your hit man vibe. Have some fun, get back to smiling!

“F**k these other motherf*****s. They are wasting your time. Wasting your motherf*****g time. So, put that love in your heart, man, and enjoy yourself.”

Inspired by this passionate call to arms, West noted it was ‘time for me just to grab the mic again and get back on’.

“I love music again,” he revealed.

“Jump into your bag. We gonna have years and decades to fight these motherf*****s. Right now, enjoy your life,” Combs encouraged him. “This is coming from me, from God to you. Enjoy your life. Fall back in love like when you was making the beats. Have a good time and say, ‘F**k the world and all the bulls**t’ man.”

Referring to his multiple criminal charges that could result in more than 15 years behind bars, Combs later moaned: “This s**t is f*****g sad. I’m Puff Daddy in jail. When I get out and I get that f*****g freedom, woo. I am not caring about nothing but motherf*****g being happy. And I want you to feel that.”

He then thanked West for taking care of his children in the aftermath of his arrest last September.

There were some explosive finds in the declassified JFK files

Declassified files in relation to the assassination of former president John F Kennedy have been released following an order from Donald Trump.

Kennedy was shot by a sniper while riding in a motorcade through Dealey Plaza on 22 November, 1963, in Dallas, Texas.

He was famously in a convertible limousine with his wife Jacqueline, Texas Governor John Connally, and Connally’s wife Nellie.

Shots were fired from the Texas School Book Depository building and Lee Harvey Oswald was arrested and taken into custody.

Two days before his trial, he was killed by nightclub owner Jack Ruby.

While some people reckon Trump’s batch of JFK files were a bit of a letdown, here’s what we do know from the archived material.

Amid the countless conspiracy theories surrounding Kennedy’s death, Trump has made good on his promise after releasing 1,100 files of 31,000 pages on the US National Archives and Records Administration’s website.

Although the vast majority of the National Archives’ collection has previously been released.

There may have been a second shooter

The most shocking find is the evidence which supports the long-standing theory of there being a second shooter involved.

It’s thought that Oswald fired three shots in 8.6 seconds, however, ballistic reports and testimonies in the files claim that a shot may have come from an elevated area ahead of the president’s motorcade.

House Select Committee on Assassinations (HSCA) said in 1979 that there was a ‘high probability’ of a second shooter based on acoustic evidence.

Theories have argued that the second shooter was located on the ‘grassy knoll’, which is the small, sloping hill in Dealey Plaza where Kennedy was assassinated.

CIA involvement

A memo from November 1963 which has now been declassified has revealed how a CIA officer expressed alarm over Oswald’s activities.

Oswald married a Russian lady in the Soviet Union, in 1961, and had also visited Soviet and Cuban embassies in Mexico City weeks before the assassination.

The gunman also happened to be a former Marine who defected to the Soviet Union before returning home to Texas.

According to the files, it has been suggested that higher-ups dismissed the concerns.

Mafia involvement

Wiretaps transcripts show the mob discussing the need to ‘take care of Kennedy’.

This comes after Michael Franzese, a former mafia captain, has long suggested their involvement.

“If I had to take a lie detector and swear to it – what I heard my entire life from people in the know – there was definitely mob involvement,” he said on Piers Morgan Uncensored.

He claimed that Oswald’s killer Jack Ruby ‘was totally mobbed up’ and that he had ‘cops on his payroll’.

Trump’s promise to release other files

“I have now determined that the continued redaction and withholding of information from records pertaining to the assassination of President John F. Kennedy is not consistent with the public interest and the release of these records is long overdue,” he said.

“And although no Act of Congress directs the release of information pertaining to the assassinations of Senator Robert F. Kennedy and the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., I have determined that the release of all records in the Federal Government’s possession pertaining to each of those assassinations is also in the public interest.”

'Last words' of death row killer executed using method banned on cats and dogs yesterday

Jessie Hoffman Jr died by nitrogen infusion on Tuesday (18 March).

Trigger warning: this article contains mentions of an execution and rape, which may distress some readers.

A murderer named Jessie Hoffman Jr met his maker in a controversial fashion this week after spending 27 years on Louisiana’s Death Row.

Convicted in 1998 for raping and killing Mary ‘Molly’ Elliott in the first-degree, he was finally put to death on Tuesday (18 March) via nitrogen hypoxia, a banned method for euthanising cats and dogs, as it’s said to cause severe distress.

The crime took place in New Orleans, with Hoffman Jr initially abducting his victim from a parking lot before assaulting and shooting her.

This was the first execution of its kind in the US state, although the criminal’s legal team had hoped to prevent it at the eleventh hour with the help of a court ruling. This claimed that nitrogen ‘substantially burdens’ a demonstration of Hoffman Jr’s Buddhist faith by denying him the chance to meditatively breathe as his last seconds of life ticked by.

Hoffman Jr’s case gets even more significant though, because his final words marked a rare moment in death row history.

The 46-year-old death row inmate is apparently a Buddhist now, and death by gas would interfere with his beliefs (Jessie Hoffman Legal Team)

The 46-year-old death row inmate is apparently a Buddhist now, and death by gas would interfere with his beliefs (Jessie Hoffman Legal Team)

Despite an almost three-decade incarceration, in which the inmate will have no doubt contemplated a life wasted, this resulted in precisely no final statement or food.

Commenting on her client’s unconventional punishment, attorney Cecelia Kappel noted: “Jessie no longer bore any resemblance to the 18-year-old who killed Molly Elliott. The State was able to execute him by pushing out a new protocol and setting execution dates to prevent careful judicial review and shrouding the process in secrecy.”

Meanwhile, his victim’s husband Andy Elliott shared: “There is relief that this long nightmare is finally over but also renewed grief for Molly and sadness for Mr. Hoffman’s family, whose nightmare began when mine did and who’ve also had to go through nearly 30 years of this gut-wrenching process through no fault of their own.”

According to eye-witnesses of the execution, Hoffman Jr began to experience ‘convulsive activity’ upon its commencement, yet they each concurred that nothing seemed out of the ordinary when scrutinised against the protocols.

Chief of Operations at the Louisiana Department of Public Safety and Corrections, Seth Smith, was present at the scene and went on to confirm Hoffman Jr’s spasms.

He perceived these convulsions to be an “involuntary response to dying”, with Hoffman Jr apparently unconscious at the time.

Hoffman Jr was pronounced dead at 6.50pm local time, with the gas flow taking 19 minutes to end his life.

J.K. Rowling appears to take huge swipe at Harry Potter stars in ongoing feud

The British author doesn’t seem to be a fan of the child stars’ later work

It appears that J.K. Rowling still holds a grudge against the stars of the Harry Potter franchise, if her latest tweet is anything to go by.

The author, 59, seemed to take a huge swipe at Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint in a savage post shared to X last night (18 March).

It’s no secret that Rowling no longer sees eye to eye with the trio who brought her Wizarding World to life in the eight Harry Potter films.

She told the child stars they ‘can save their apologies’ in April last year – suggesting there is no hope of them ever burying the hatchet – after they criticised her controversial views.

It all started back in June 2020 when Rowling shared several social media posts which a lot of people deemed as transphobic – including a host of Harry Potter actors.

In response, Radcliffe apologised for the ‘pain’ caused by the rhetoric and said he hoped it wouldn’t ‘taint’ the films for fans in an open letter for LGBTQ+ organisation, The Trevor Project.

“It’s clear that we need to do more to support transgender and non-binary people, not invalidate their identities,” the 35-year-old said, while adding that the fallout with Rowling was ‘really sad’.

However, Radcliffe said he didn’t ‘owe’ the author anything simply because she penned the books which inspired the Harry Potter films, explaining that he hadn’t spoke to her in several years.

Watson took to X to share her support for the trans community, telling her followers: “Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are.

“I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are.”

Grint also said in a statement at the time: “I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers. Trans women are women. Trans men are men.”

In an interview with the Times two years later, he added: “I liken JK Rowling to an auntie. I don’t necessarily agree with everything my auntie says, but she’s still my auntie. It’s a tricky one.”

Well, it turns out that aunt has still got a few more things to say, Grint.

Rowling appeared to reignite her feud with the Harry Potter actors yesterday with her response to a tweet which asked: “What actor/actress instantly ruins a movie for you?”

Quoting the original post, the author added: “Three guesses. Sorry, but that was irresistible,” alongside three laughing emojis.

Obviously it doesn’t take a genius to work out which threesome she was referring to, but social media users still filled in the blanks for anyone struggling.

A few even replied to the post with pictures of Radcliffe, Watson and Grint in their Hogwarts get-ups.

One person commented: “A cute girl, a boy with glasses, and a boy with red hair come to mind. Their names escape me, since I haven’t seen them in anything for quite some time.”

Another wrote: “Savage.”

A third added: “JK I had to read this four times to understand the shade.”

Readers all have same response after reading declassified JFK documents said to 'tell the truth' released by Trump

The President promised the latest batch of JFK files would be a real page-turner

A host of people who were looking forward to pouring over the latest declassified documents discussing JFK’s assassination have been left a bit disappointed.

President Donald Trump announced another 80,000 pages of material would be made public on Monday (17 March), but according to readers, it’s been a bit of an anticlimax.

The 78-year-old leader promised that the information would be ‘very interesting’, while claiming that no details in the docs would be redacted.

During his appearance at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts in Washington DC, Trump said: “We have a tremendous amount of paper. You got a lot of reading. I don’t believe we’re going to redact anything.

“They’ve been waiting for that for decades. And I said during the campaign I’d release them, and I’m a man of my word…so tomorrow you have the JFK files.”

Tomorrow has been and gone, and true to his word, the declassified documents were published by the National Archives last night (18 March).

Trump vowed to make information pertaining to three of the most high-profile assassinations on US soil – President John F. Kennedy, his brother Robert Kennedy, and Martin Luther King – public back in January.

He said it was an important step towards ‘restoring transparency and accountability to government’, telling Americans that ‘everything will be revealed’.

The murder of JFK has long been the subject of conspiracy theories, as not everyone is completely convinced by the official version of events.

The 35th President of the US was shot in the head by Lee Harvey Oswald on 22 November, 1963, as he drove through Dallas, Texas, in an open-topped car.

Oswald was then shot dead two days later by nightclub owner Jack Ruby – and people were hoping to find out some new information from the docs about the historic event.

But those who have had a flick through the 80,000 pages in the latest batch of JFK files reckon they were a bit of a letdown, difficult to read, and faded.

Despite Trump pretty much guaranteeing that the archives would be a real page-turner, people have all been sharing the same complaint online.

Taking to social media, one person said: “I’m quickly going through the JFK files to see if we would get everything unredacted like promised. We have not.”

Another added: “Most of these documents were marked ‘safe’ for declassification YEARS ago. There is nothing here. Where are the ‘exempt’ and ‘excluded’ JFK files?”

A third wrote: “Today, the final 80,000 JFK assassination documents were supposed to be declassified. Instead, we got a pathetic trickle – just over 1,000 files, most of them already known, heavily redacted, or long marked for release.

“A smokescreen of transparency, carefully curated to reveal nothing of substance.”

While a fourth commented: “I was told repeatedly these were going to be unredacted…”

Others were a bit more complimentary, including the likes of Republican congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, who led the task force to declassify the JFK files.

She shared a post on X explaining she was excited to read a ‘CIA IG report from whistleblowers alleging that the CIA hid information from Congress’ about the assassination.

Luna claimed that the information was concealed because ‘it implicated them’, adding: “We were given this as a tip and there is actually a document we are currently tracking down.”

Director of National Intelligence, Tulsi Gabbard, also praised the President for declassifying the files in a social media post.

She wrote: “President Trump is ushering in a new era of maximum transparency. Today, per his direction, previously redacted JFK Assassination Files are being released to the public with no redactions.

“Promises made, promises kept.”

People were quick to flood her replies with examples of the multiple redactions which are in the JFK files.

The documents include hand-written notes, typewritten reports, and photocopies – but historians don’t expect a host of new revelations to emerge.

But 80,000 pages is a lot to comb through, so the jury is still out on whether the document dump was worth it at the moment.
