The Stephen Graham led show has one massive question that will never be answered

The writer of Adolescence, Jack Thorne, has opened up about the biggest question which the hit Netflix show left unanswered.

The series, starring Stephen Graham, Owen Cooper, Ashley Walters, Christine Tremarco, and Erin Doherty, has been a massive success for Netflix.

While many questions – such as how they filmed some of the ‘impossible’ scenes or what the incel emoji terms really meant – have been answered, there is still one massive question that lies unanswered from the show.

The series centres around first time actor Owen Cooper as a young boy named Jamie who is arrested on suspicion of murder in episode one.

He is suspected of stabbing a young girl to death, with CCTV footage seemingly showing him in the act.

The series’ second episode, focused on Ashley Walters and his police partner played by Faye Marsay, sees the police head to the school in hopes of finding the knife, suspected to be the murder weapon.

Despite the various reveals and shocking moments in the show’s four hour long episodes, all shot in one take, the knife is never revealed and we never know if it is found.

Though many fans will be wondering whether it’s hidden in the show somewhere and they just need to look closer to find where Jamie hid the knife – the show’s writer has assured you, you won’t find out the answer.

Jack Thorne, who co-wrote the show with Stephen Graham, spoke in a new interview with Deadline about the hit series.

Within the interview, Thorne spoke about why they ‘cannot’ answer the question of where the knife is.

When discussing his feeling of the ‘joy of the incomplete’, he said: “For instance, episode two has a whole question going through it, of where is the knife? That’s why DI Luke Bascombe (played by Ashley Walters) is there.

“We cannot answer that. We don’t answer that. I could have tried to fit it into dialogue in episode three, but that would have felt inauthentic and wrong.”

The interviewer cheekily then asked outright ‘where is the murder weapon’, with Thorne responding: “I’m not going to answer that question because if I did, then that would spoil it.”

When asked if he had a working theory he added: “I have an answer because Stephen and I worked everything out. But the point is that we didn’t have to answer it, and by not answering it, we create a question, and that question hangs on.”

The series has been a massive success for Netflix, still sitting atop the top of their charts both globally and in the UK, with a real chance of being one of the streamer’s most successful British shows ever.

When asked about why he thinks the show has resonated with so many, Thorne told Deadline: “I hope what we’ve done is shine a light on an area which has been talked about but not looked at.

“This is an issue that everyone has been aware of, but discovering it through Jamie is something we’ve been set on capturing. That people are excited to watch and understand Jamie, and try to understand the issue through Jamie, is rewarding.”

CEO Jerry Murrell revealed what the fast food chain ‘bases prices on’

The furore surrounding the price of a burger and fries at Five Guys has kicked back up again – but do you know why it’s so expensive?

In life, you get what you pay for, and this statement even rings true when it comes to fast food joints.

But this didn’t stop one customer branding the prices ‘out of control’ after a meal for one person set them back £18.58 ($24.10).

Taking to X to vent their frustrations, the social media user explained they were left stunned by how much a Bacon Cheeseburger, small portion of fries and a regular soda had cost.

The burger made up the majority of the bill, coming in at £9.83 ($12.49), while the chips were £4.08 ($5.19) and the drink £2.27 ($2.89).

The disgruntled diner added: “I was expecting about $12 to $15 per person for Five Guys. $22 (without tip) just seems to cross a line. What is the right amount these days?”

There’s no denying that Five Guys is dear in comparison to other fast food restaurants, but CEO Jerry Murrell reckons the prices are justifiable.

His family business which is named after his five sons has been going since 1986, so his cost-analysis has got to be at least half right.

Five Guys now boasts nearly 1,700 branches across the world and there’s another 1,500 units in development, showing the success of Murrell’s sales strategy – even if it is controversial among customers.

The father-of-five earlier revealed the reasoning behind why a meal at Five Guys costs significantly more than its competitors.

“Our food prices fluctuate,” Murrell previously told Inc Magazine. “We do not base our price on anything but margins.

“We raise our prices to reflect whatever our food costs are. So, if the mayonnaise guy triples his price, we pay triple for the mayonnaise!

“And then we’ll increase the price of our product.”

There is some good news for Five Guys fans who are feeling the financial toll of eating there, though – those who live in the US might be able to take advantage of the ‘Classic Combo’ deal instead.

It was announced in January that the new meal would be trialled at 177 restaurants in the States, allowing customers to save a few quid while they snack.

The ‘Classic Combo’ is made up of a Little Burger or Little Cheeseburger, a Little Fry (regular or cajun), and a 16-ounce beverage.

The whole thing will set you back just over a tenner, which is $12.99 for our American friends.

Announcing the meal deal, Murrell said earlier this year: “Our loyal fans have requested a combo from us for a long time, and we are ready to give them this gift leading up to our 40th anniversary.

“By testing the concept now, we can gauge customer response and refine our offering before an official launch.”

You never know…if it performs well, the Classic Combo could come to our side of the pond too, which I’m sure would be music to the ears of Five Guys fans in the UK.

Murrell does make a point of taking customer feedback on board, as he believes the ‘best salesman is our customer’.

“Treat that person right, he’ll walk out the door and sell for you,” he also told Inc Magazine. “From the beginning, I wanted people to know that we put all our money into the food.

“That’s why the décor is so simple — red and white tiles. We don’t spend our money on décor. Or on guys in chicken suits. But we’ll go overboard on food.”

Her feud with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint continued this week

Another instalment has occurred in the seemingly never-ending feud between J.K. Rowling and the main actors behind the iconic Harry Potter movies that spawned out of her books.

Rowling took to Twitter to seemingly take a swipe at Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint, the three actors who played Harry Potter, Hermione Granger, and Ron Weasley in the film franchise.

The feud between the trio and Rowling dates back five years and includes several angry statements from the author about the actors who brought her most iconic characters to life.

Here’s how the feud got to the point it did now, in which Rowling will semi-regularly take digs at Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint.

J.K. Rowling begins commenting on the trans community

J.K. Rowling began expressing views she called ‘gender-critical’ back in 2019, with this exploding in 2020 when she began hitting out at people using the term ‘people who menstruate’.

The term is intended to be more inclusive of the transgender community, however, this led Rowling tweeting: “People who menstruate. I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”

She would follow this up by saying: “If sex isn’t real, there’s no same-sex attraction. If sex isn’t real, the lived reality of women globally is erased. I know and love trans people, but erasing the concept of sex removes the ability of many to meaningfully discuss their lives. It isn’t hate to speak the truth.”

Rowling’s tweets drew a great deal of criticism worldwide, with many pointing out that her ‘gender critical’ perspective denied detailed scientific research that demonstrates that gender is a spectrum, separate to the idea of ‘sex’.

Since then, the author has engaged in several attacks on the transgender community. This includes stating she would ‘rather go to prison’ than use a transgender person’s preferred pronouns, and deliberately misgendering India Willoughby, the UK’s first transgender national television newsreader.

2020 – Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint respond and defend the trans community

The trio all responded following the backlash surrounding this. Radcliffe was the first to address it, issuing a statement via The Trevor Project, an LGBTQIA+ suicide prevention nonprofit.

He said in his statement: “Transgender women are women. Any statement to the contrary erases the identity and dignity of transgender people and goes against all advice given by professional health care associations who have far more expertise on this subject matter than either Jo or I.”

This statement was affirmed by Watson, who tweeted: “Trans people are who they say they are and deserve to live their lives without being constantly questioned or told they aren’t who they say they are. I want my trans followers to know that I and so many other people around the world see you, respect you, and love you for who you are.”

Rupert Grint was similarly supportive, saying in a statement to the Sunday Times: “I firmly stand with the trans community and echo the sentiments expressed by many of my peers. Trans women are women. Trans men are men. We should all be entitled to live with love and without judgment.”

2024 – The Cass Report and J.K. Rowling’s public dig at Radcliffe and Watson

In 2024, a document commonly called the Cass Report was released, the full name of which was an ‘Independent Review of Gender Identity Services for Children and Young People’. These were recommendations made to NHS England by Dr Hilary Cass, an independent chair of the review.

The review advised against giving children and young people gender-affirming care. Though the report was welcomed by many, it received a great deal of criticism.

The World Professional Association for Transgender Health rejected the findings, releasing a strong criticism of the review.

Rowling was one of the many to praise the recommendations, however, saying: “Even if you don’t feel ashamed of cheerleading for what now looks like severe medical malpractice, even if you don’t want to accept that you might have been wrong, where’s your sense of self-preservation.”

This led one fan of Rowling to respond, stating they were waiting on apologies from Radcliffe and Watson to her ‘safe in the knowledge [Rowling] will forgive them’.

The Harry Potter author responded by saying: “Not safe, I’m afraid. Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.”

2025 – J.K. Rowling issues her latest dig at the Harry Potter actors

Rowling issued her latest swipe at the actors, however, this time seemed to include Rupert Grint amongst her ire. One fan asked her which actor/actress ‘instantly ruins a movie from her’, with Rowling responding saying: “Three guesses. Sorry but that was irresistible.”

Grint, Radcliffe, and Watson have yet to respond, but Radcliffe and Watson did respond to her earlier comments in 2024. Watson’s was the less direct of the pair, taking to Twitter simply to reaffirm her support for the Transgender community.

Radcliffe meanwhile stated that the split with Rowling was ‘sad’, however said; “I will continue to support the rights of all LGBTQ people, and have no further comment than that.”

How much NASA astronauts Butch Wilmore and Sunita Williams are paid following nine months of overtime in space

You’d expect a lot of overtime for nine extra months on the job

Here is how much NASA could be paying astronauts Butch Wilmore and Suni Williams for their nine months of overtime in space.

Yesterday (18 March) saw Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore and Sunita ‘Suni’ Williams land safely off the coast of Florida alongside fellow astronauts Nick Hague and Alexander Gorbunov, therefore bringing an end to one of the biggest space stories of the year.

They left Earth last June as test pilots for Boeing’s Starliner mission, however a series of technical issues meant that Butch and Suni had an unexpected lengthy stay on the International Space Station.

The pair were expected to spend around eight days in orbit for the mission but ended up staying in space for a whopping 286 days.

This would mean the pair spent an additional 278 (roughly nine months) in space.

So you’d imagine the pair have racked up a pretty hefty overtime bill.

How much will Butch and Suni be paid for their extra time in space?

NASA has not commented on how much the two astronauts will be paid for spending an additional nine months in space, which means we don’t know exactly how much extra Butch and Suni will be paid, however it may not be as much as you’d think.

According to former NASA employee Cady Coleman, astronauts receive ‘no overtime’ on top of their regular salary.

“There is some small amount of money per day for incidentals that they end up being legally obligated to pay you,” Coleman explained to the Washingtonian back in February, adding that for her incidental pay was about $4 (£3) a day.

Should Coleman’s figure still be accurate, then Butch and Suni would receive an additional $1,144 (£882) for their time in space alongside their regular salaries, reportedly around $125,133 (£96,513) and $162,672 (£125,466) a year.

These figures are, of course, not confirmed, but if true, it’s not quite the mega-payout many were expecting.

The suggested lack of a payout may also have to do with the fact that neither Butch or Suni were ‘stranded’ or ‘trapped’ on the ISS, which initially appeared to be the case.

NASA has repeatedly insisted that the pair weren’t abandoned but had instead joined the existing ISS crew mission. Astrophysicist Jonathan McDowell also explained to the outlet that two astronauts were pulled from a scheduled ISS mission in September, allowing Butch and Suni to replace the pair.

This also meant the pair wouldn’t be returning home any earlier than this month, as the station needs a certain amount of astronauts to function properly.

This is also backed up by retired Canadian astronaut Chris Hadfield, who recently explained to LADbible: “They were where they wanted to be, and they could come home if they needed to, every single day that they were there. Nobody’s stranded.”

If your financial and personal circumstances allow you to save, then listen up

Money Saving Expert Martin Lewis has issued a warning about cash ISAs and what options are available.

If your personal and financial circumstances allow you to keep ahold of your money, then it might be worth sticking those savings away in an ISA for tax purposes.

What is a cash ISA?

During a recent episode of The Martin Lewis Money Show Live on ITV, the finance guru explained that ‘a cash ISA is just a savings account where the interest is never taxed’.

“It’s no more complicated than that,” he said, clarifying that anyone over the age of 18 can put up to £20,000 in an ISA, each year.

£20,000 ISA allowance warning

Lewis says if you’re thinking about getting an ISA and using it to its full capacity, then make sure you do so by 5 April.

“You can put in £20,000 per tax year, in a cash ISA or in ISAs in general. Go quickly though as if you need to fill this year’s while as the deadline is 5 April. In practice many of the product providers close early for admin reasons,” he added.

“The important thing to understand is once your money’s in a cash ISA it’s tax free year after year. So you could put, if you were lucky enough to have the money, you could put, if you haven’t used your ISA this year, £20,000 in now.”

On the major long term benefit, Lewis said: “Then on 6 April you get another £20,000 that you could put in. Now you’ve got £40,000 in. If things don’t change the year after you could put another £20,000 in.”

Different types of ISAs

On Lewis’ Money Saving Expert website, it recommends to pick either an easy access ISA, which allow withdrawals, or a fixed-rate ISA.

Easy access ISA

• Trading 212 – 5.25 percent (for three months)

• Tembo – 4.8 percent (top straight rate)

• Post Office – 4.4 percent (top ‘big name’)

Fixed-rate ISAs (with access)

• Shawbrook Bank – 4.5 percent for one year

• Close Brothers – 4.41 percent for two years

There are different types of ISAs (Getty Stock Images)

You can open and pay into multiple cash ISAs at a time

If you wanted, you could pay into an easy access account and a fixed rate account at the same time over the course of each tax year. This includes with two different providers.

However, the total amount across all your ISAs can’t go over the £20,000 allowance.

Chancellor Rachel Reeves’ rumours to cut the ISA allowance to £4,000

There have been rumours circulating around that Chancellor Rachel Reeves is allegedly planning a cash ISA limit cut from £20,000 to £4,000.

But The Guardian reported last week that no ISA price cuts are set to be announced in the spring statement this month.

Lewis added: “The only rumour I’ve heard is dropping the future allowance from £20,000 to £4,000. Apparently it’s not coming in the Spring Statement – I don’t have that confirmed that’s other people’s reports.

“But it might come in the Autumn Budget. It’s still being considered no decisions been made. If that’s right let’s just make it plain for everyone. Some people are saying ‘take money out of cash ISAs’ that would be bonkers – bonkers.”

Netflix answers questions everyone has about Adolescence due to extreme demand

They addressed how a camera travelled through glass without any cuts in one episode

Netflix have once again taken to social media to give a Q&A after rabid Adolescence fans have bombarded the streamers with questions.

The show, which is currently the number one series both worldwide and in the UK, centres around a young boy, Jamie, who is arrested on suspicion of murder.

All four episodes of Adolescence are shot in one single take, a technical marvel which led many viewers full of questions of how they did it.

While many questions have been answered – and one that won’t be answered – Netflix have answered several of the burning questions viewers still had.

Warning: Minor spoilers lie ahead for all four episodes of Adolescence

How they got a camera to go through glass in episode two

The scene happens in episode 2 of Adolescence (Netflix)

In episode two of the show, Ashley Walters’ character goes to investigate Jamie’s school.

At one point, one of the students runs away the second he enters their classroom, jumping out a nearby window.

When the camera follows the pair in their chase, the camera goes through the window, seemingly travelling through glass.

This led many online to wonder how they achieved this without cutting once, which Netflix answered in their new Q&A.

They said: “There wasn’t actually a window there. It was taken

out and put back in using VFX. One of the camera operators was in the

classroom, then when Ryan jumped out of the window, the other operator – who

was crouching on the other side – took the camera and continued the chase.”

Van questions from episode four

His day is ruined after kids paint, and slightly misspell, the word nonce on his van (Netflix)

His day is ruined after kids paint, and slightly misspell, the word nonce on his van (Netflix)

The show’s finale for much of the episode follows Stephen Graham’s character and his family on his birthday. The birthday, however, is ruined when someone paints the word ‘nonce’ on the side of his work van, leading him to drive to an off-brand made up version of B&Q.

Much of the episode is filmed inside the van, whilst he is driving and acting simultaneously. When asked how they filmed this, and why you can’t see a camera rig, Netflix said: “There were two vans! The first one is the one you see at the start of the episode when Eddie is trying to get the graffiti off.

“When they go back inside the house, the crew swapped out the vans for one that has a camera rig on the front. As they come back out of the house and get in the van, the shot stays on them as the camera is attached to the rig on the front.”

This isn’t the only van question, however, as some fans were curious whether Stephen Graham threw paint over his van (in an enraged attempt to cover up the ‘nonce’) every take. Netflix confirmed that he actually did as they used a special paint that could be stuck to the van and taken off after every take.

How they found Jamie, whether they rammed in the door in episode one every time, and how much ad-libbing there was

The Q&A also answered a number of miscellaneous other questions, some of which are fascinating.

Though it has been discussed in great detail by Graham and the show’s director, Philip Barantini, they gave even more insight into how they found Owen Cooper. The show’s star was a first time actor, having only done weekly acting classes prior to the series, with the one hour long takes of episode three being his first time ever on a film set.

Netflix said: “Owen was one of hundreds of potential Jamies seen by casting director Shaheen Baig – he was first spotted after sending in a self-taped improv scene. After a few more callbacks and workshops, Owen had a chemistry read with Stephen Graham. Guess that must have gone pretty well!”

They also added that the actor’s interchange with Erin Doherty in episode three where he yawns and she asks if he’s boring her was entirely ad-libbed.

Finally, the show opens with police raiding Jamie’s house – and Netflix confirmed that they rammed the door in every single time. Even though they ended up using just the second take of episode one, Netflix confirmed that the door was rammed in 12 different times.

Woman with stage four colon cancer shares symptom doctor dismissed 10 months before diagnosis

Mother-of-two Tess reckons your ‘best chance of overcoming this disease’ is by finding it early

A woman who had stage four colon cancer has revealed the alarming symptoms that she experienced ten months before she received a diagnosis.

Tess, better known online as @thegreenthumbmum, has urged people to pay close attention to their bodies as she believes ‘early detection is the best form of cure’.

The mother-of-two, from Australia, explained she first began noticing warning signs just under a year before doctors finally pinpointed what was wrong with her.

She was later informed that she had colon cancer (also known as bowel cancer), which is one of the most common types of the disease in the UK.

The number of cases are increasing amongst adults between 20 and 50, averaging to be up 7.3 per cent each year for in 30 to 39 year olds, Cancer Research UK has also reported.

According to the NHS, it can be found anywhere inside the large bowl, including the colon and rectum.

“How serious bowel cancer is depends on how big the cancer is, if the cancer has spread, and your general health,” it adds, explaining that screening can help detect it early which ‘may mean it’s easier to treat’.

Tess told her more than 15,000 followers on TikTok that she hoped that sharing the details of her symptoms could ‘help someone else’ out there who might be dealing with something similar.

“Your best chance of overcoming this disease is by finding it early,” the mother – who has two daughters aged 2 and 6 – said.

Tess told how she was left crippled by ‘extreme stomach cramping’ in the months before her diagnosis, which continued to worsen over time.

She explained that it was ‘mild’ at first, but later progressed ‘to the point where she would be on the floor in the fetal position’ because it was ‘so painful’.

The TikToker said the cramps felt similar to pain which someone with endometriosis might experience, adding that the source of her discomfort was always located ‘very low in her abdomen’.

Despite having blood tests, there wasn’t any cancer detected in Tess’ sample – however, the results did raise some other red flags.

“I had very low iron and I was also anaemic,” the social media user said, explaining that she didn’t consider this to be ‘worrisome’ at the time as she’s been dealing with those issues her ‘whole adult life’.

Another more obvious symptom that Tess had colon cancer was that she noticed blood in her stool, which is a common sign of the disease.

She urged people to check in with their doctor as soon as they can if they notice blood in the toilet bowl or on their tissue too – as the location of the stuff doesn’t really matter.

“People become very specific about where the blood was,” she continued. “It doesn’t matter if it’s on the paper, if it’s in the bowl, if it’s in the stool – it is a worry.

“Blood in stool or paper is never normal and it should always be investigated, so no matter where it is, you should still follow up on where that blood is coming from.”

Another symptom Tess experienced was a change in her bowel habits, which she said can often indicate that someone might have a blockage in their colon.

She recalled how her stools became ‘very thin’ and ‘small’ in the months before her diagnosis, seeing her tell the doctor that her two-year-old child was producing bigger ones than she was.

“And that for me was a big red flag,” Tess said. “A lot of these symptoms got put down to postpartum, I was 18 months postpartum when I started to go to the doctor about these symptoms.

“So that’s why a lot of it was kind of washed under the bridge,” she added, explaining that medics also pointed to dairy intolerance and celiac disease as reasons for Tess’ symptoms.

She reminded social media users that this wasn’t an exclusive list, but rather her individual experience – as unlike a lot of bowel cancer patients, she ‘never experienced bloating’.

“Please keep in mind that there are other symptoms as well,” she added. “It might present in each person differently.”

Tess urged anyone watching who has been experiencing similar stuff to check in with their GP and press for a colonoscopy if they suspect they might have bowel cancer.

She later took to the comment section of her video to explain further, adding that because she had haemorrhoids, her doctor didn’t perform a colonoscopy because they ‘assumed it was due to those’.

“It ended up being both,” Tess said. “My gastro told me I was ‘overreacting’ when I said I thought it might be cancer and that I was probably just constipated.

“He then did the colonoscopy and was pretty embarrassed. Keep seeing doctors until someone listens.”

Tess says she is currently cancer free and in remission, telling her followers she is ‘healthy and better than ever now.”

“But that was a tough time,” she added. “Doctors never said a ‘life expectancy’, as I won’t be dying from this disease and always had a good chance at overcoming it.”

Being in space will have quite an impact on your body

NASA astronauts Barry ‘Butch’ Wilmore and Sunita ‘Suni’ Williams have safely returned to Earth after their eight day mission on board the International Space Station turned into a nine month stay in space.

While they could have returned at an earlier date if they so desired, it made the most sense for them to remain in space so the ISS could continue to be fully crewed, and the pair have been busy with hundreds of experiments during their extra time off-planet.

Nine months is a long time to spend in space and any period away from the planet is going to start having an impact on the body.

Images of the astronauts being stretchered away after splashing down safely in the sea yesterday (18 March) gave some indication of the changes that can occur to the human body in space.

Before they set off the pair were pictured in June 2024 ahead of what they had expected to be a trip of little over a week in space.

The ‘after’ images have shown some of what being in space does to the human body.

The astronauts were stretchered away, which is completely normal as they’ve been away from Earth’s gravity for a while and their bodies need time to readjust to being out of the weightlessness of space.

Unfortunately, space takes a toll on the human body and like former astronauts before them Wilmore and Williams will need a period of rehabilitation to recover from the effects of the cosmos.

A loss of bone density and muscle mass are two of the most pronounced effects of being in space, as for about every month spent in space an astronaut’s bone density drops by about one percent.

They didn’t think it was gonna be a long, long time till touchdown brought them round again, but the astronauts will be physically weaker and more fragile than they were when they left.

Some observers have noticed that the astronauts look a little more gaunt than when they left, which is understandable if they’ve been losing mass.

Suni Williams has also started showing some grey hair, though images of her on board the ISS from months past also showed this change in her so it can’t have been that stressful a splashdown.

The pair are nine months older and have just spent it in an environment which has a pronounced change on the human body, it’s only natural they’d look a little different to when they left.

However, the real changes are the ones you can’t see.

Their hearts will have become weaker as the internal organ hasn’t had to work as hard to pump blood around their bodies.

Various other fluids will have built up in their head and not drained thanks to gravity, so they may be feeling as though they’ve caught a cold in space but it’ll soon pass now they’re back on Earth.

Something they might really have to worry about is what space does to the shape of the human eye, reducing eyesight and weakening their vision.

Meanwhile, that exposure to cosmic radiation will have had an impact on their very DNA, but previous experiments indicate that most of the damage will be repaired within a few months.

He’d been talking about how his parents ‘supported me through everything’

Stephen Graham was brought to tears during a recent radio interview as he spoke about the support his dad gave him throughout his career.

The iconic actor has been gaining heaps of praise for his recent Netflix series Adolescence, where he plays a father whose son (Owen Cooper) is accused of murdering a classmate.

With four episodes each shot in one continuous take many viewers have found Adolescence absolutely gripping, as well as a disturbing introduction to the world of the ‘manosphere’, the terms they use and the worldview they induct men and boys into.

Graham was recently chatting to Capital Radio about the inspiration his dad gave to him, telling hosts Jordan North and Sian Welby that his dad used to get him movie posters for his wall including one of the Martin Scorsese film Taxi Driver.

The Adolescence star described the moment he got to tell his dad he’d be working with the director and the movie’s main star Robert De Niro on 2019’s The Irishman.

Welby said ‘it must have been the proudest moment’ as Graham recounted the emotional conversation with his dad.

He said: “I went, ‘Dad, you’ll never guess who I’m going to be working with’, and he’s like ‘Who?’ and I went, ‘Marty’s asked me to do a film again’.

“And he’s like, ‘That’s amazing son!’, and I went ‘Yeah’.”

At this point Graham started welling up with tears and told the studio ‘oh I’ve gone’, but ploughed on to describe how much his parents supported him throughout his life.

“You know, he proper backed me, and me mum. They supported me throughout everything. Do you know what I mean? All the struggles you go through and everything,” the celebrated actor said, before pausing to let his interviewers know ‘me contact lens has fallen out’.

“And he was, yeah, you can imagine it was unbelievable.”

Graham told the hosts his dad ‘was so proud’, while North apologised by saying ‘we didn’t want to make you cry today’.

“All it takes is one person doesn’t it? To help you achieve your goal, or to believe in the dream you have,” he said of his parents.

“It takes that one person and my dad was that person. And my mum.”

Graham and De Niro recently reunited on the sofa of The One Show during an episode last week (13 March) where he got a chance to personally tell his co-star from The Irishman what an inspiration he was.

The actor explained that when he was younger he told his father he wanted to properly get into acting, so his father rented The GodfatherTaxi Driver and The Deer Hunter to watch.

He said: “We went home and we watched these three films and we watched them all over the weekend.

“And, you know, it was just, you were the beginning of my whole love of favourite films, really.

“I don’t think I ever told you that. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

This got a big grin from De Niro.

Mark Zuckerberg’s Insane Spending Habits: You Won’t Believe It!

Mark Zuckerberg, the founder and CEO of Facebook, is one of the most influential and wealthiest tech billionaires in the world. Since the birth of Facebook, Zuckerberg has not only built a social media empire but also amassed an enormous fortune that allows him to enjoy a lavish and powerful lifestyle. This article explores his massive wealth, luxurious assets, and the extravagant items he simply cannot live without.

The Tech Empire and His Massive Fortune

Mark Zuckerberg began his journey to billionaire status as a student at Harvard University. With a groundbreaking idea for a social networking platform, he and his team launched Facebook in 2004. The platform quickly gained popularity and fundamentally changed the way billions of people interact worldwide. As a result, Zuckerberg’s net worth skyrocketed. Today, his fortune is estimated at over 100 billion dollars, securing his place among the richest individuals on the planet.

Following the transformation of Facebook into Meta Platforms, Zuckerberg expanded his tech empire, acquiring Instagram, WhatsApp, and Oculus. This strategic move increased his financial power, cementing his status as a dominant figure in the world of technology. He is not just a company founder but a symbol of modern wealth and influence.

Lavish Mansions and Exclusive Living Spaces

One of the most striking aspects of Mark Zuckerberg’s wealth is his collection of luxury real estate. In 2011, he purchased a multimillion-dollar mansion in Palo Alto, California, for 7 million dollars. Over time, he expanded and upgraded the property, turning it into a private sanctuary with state-of-the-art facilities such as a home gym, an infinity pool, and a private movie theater.

Beyond California, Zuckerberg owns an entire private island in Hawaii, valued at an astonishing 100 million dollars. The island offers complete privacy and breathtaking landscapes, making it the ultimate retreat for a billionaire lifestyle. The estate is equipped with top-tier security systems and a self-sustaining energy supply, ensuring Zuckerberg can live comfortably away from the public eye.

Luxury Cars: Symbols of Wealth and Power

Although Mark Zuckerberg is known for his minimalist fashion, his car collection is anything but simple. Among his most impressive vehicles is the Porsche 911, a high-performance sports car that represents both luxury and speed. Additionally, he owns a Tesla Model S, showcasing his commitment to innovation and sustainability.

Despite his vast fortune, Zuckerberg is not often seen in extravagant vehicles. Instead, he is known to drive relatively modest cars, such as the Honda Fit and the Volkswagen Golf GTI. This approach aligns with his public image, which portrays him as a focused tech entrepreneur rather than a flashy celebrity billionaire.

Yachts and Luxurious Getaways

As a person who enjoys traveling, Mark Zuckerberg does not hold back when it comes to extravagant vacations. One of his most prized possessions is a luxury yacht, fully equipped with a swimming pool, spa, and a private helipad. His yacht allows him to escape to some of the world’s most exclusive destinations, from the Mediterranean to the Caribbean.

Besides his private yacht, Zuckerberg and his family frequently enjoy vacations at the world’s most prestigious resorts. These trips include stays at five-star hotels, private islands, and exclusive beach resorts. For Zuckerberg, these high-end retreats serve as a way to recharge while maintaining the balance between work and personal life.

Exclusive Watches and High-End Fashion

Although Zuckerberg is famous for his simple wardrobe, consisting mostly of gray t-shirts and jeans, he still owns a collection of luxury accessories. Among them is a Rolex watch worth millions of dollars. While he may not flaunt his fashion sense as much as other billionaires, his collection of luxury items demonstrates his appreciation for fine craftsmanship and exclusive brands.

Unlike other tech billionaires, Zuckerberg does not often appear in designer suits or extravagant red-carpet outfits. Instead, his approach to fashion is practical and consistent, reinforcing his image as a dedicated entrepreneur rather than a high-profile socialite. However, behind the scenes, his luxury collection speaks volumes about his status as a top-tier billionaire.

Private Jets and VIP Travel Experiences

Despite his preference for a low-profile lifestyle, Mark Zuckerberg spares no expense when it comes to private air travel. He reportedly owns or leases a private jet, ensuring that his business trips and vacations remain comfortable and efficient. With his vast wealth, he has access to some of the most elite flight services, including personalized cateringonboard entertainment systems, and top-tier security.

Having a private jet allows Zuckerberg to travel with maximum privacy and efficiency, avoiding the hassles of commercial airports. It also enables him to conduct business meetings across multiple continents without disruption, ensuring his tech empire continues to thrive.

A Billionaire Lifestyle with a Low-Key Approach

Despite his immense wealth, Mark Zuckerberg maintains a surprisingly low-key lifestyle. He avoids extravagant celebrity parties and focuses more on business innovation and philanthropy. His everyday look—simple t-shirts, hoodies, and sneakers—suggests humility, but his financial empire tells a different story.

While Zuckerberg may not be as showy as some other billionaires, his vast collection of luxury properties, high-end vehicles, and exclusive assets places him among the world’s most powerful figures. He controls a social media empire that shapes how billions of people connect, communicate, and consume digital content.

The Ultimate Takeaway: Zuckerberg’s Wealth and Global Influence

Mark Zuckerberg is more than just a tech billionaire. He is a visionary entrepreneur who has built one of the most valuable companies in the world. His wealth allows him to indulge in luxurious properties, elite travel experiences, and high-end possessions, yet he remains focused on expanding his digital empire.

For those fascinated by the lives of the rich and powerful, Mark Zuckerberg serves as the perfect example of modern wealth, technological dominance, and strategic investments. His success story is a testament to how innovation, risk-taking, and business acumen can lead to extraordinary financial power.

Philanthropy: A Billionaire’s Commitment to Giving Back

Beyond his luxurious lifestyle, Mark Zuckerberg is also known for his philanthropic efforts. In 2015, he and his wife, Priscilla Chan, pledged to donate 99% of their Facebook shares—worth billions of dollars—to charitable causes through the Chan Zuckerberg Initiative. This organization focuses on education, healthcare, and scientific research, aiming to improve global living standards. His commitment to giving back reflects a deeper purpose beyond wealth, proving that his influence extends far beyond the world of technology. Despite his lavish assets, Zuckerberg’s impact on society remains one of his greatest legacies.
