King Charles Issues Rare Cancer Update And Leaves Fans Heartbroken

King Charles has issued a rare update regarding his cancer diagnosis leaving fans heartbroken.

King Charles has issued a rare update about his cancer as he receives ‘ongoing’ treatment.

The beloved monarch, 76, first announced to the public that he was battling cancer over 18 months ago.

In February 2024, Buckingham Palace released a statement which read: “During the King’s recent hospital procedure for benign prostate enlargement, a separate issue of concern was noted. Subsequent diagnostic tests have identified a form of cancer.”

He has since put on a brave face for all public engagements and royal events, but updates following the initial announcement have left fans heartbroken.

The royal family was dealt a double blow when it was announced in March 2024 that the Princess of Wales also had a cancer diagnosis, after undergoing major abdominal surgery.

Despite now being in remission from the disease, after preventative treatment, Kate Middleton has admitted that the aftermath has been hard to deal with.

She made her return to public duties with a meaningful visit to a hospital garden in Essex, U.K., where she spoke about finding her ‘new normal.’

Middleton said: “You put on a sort of brave face, stoicism through treatment.

“Treatment’s done, then it’s like, ‘I can crack on, get back to normal,’ but actually, the phase afterwards is really, really difficult.”

The 43-year-old added: “You’re not necessarily under the clinical team any longer, but you’re not able to function normally at home as you perhaps once used to.

“And actually, someone to help talk you through that, show you, and guide you through that sort of phase that comes after treatment, I think is really valuable.”

But after visiting the public in Suffolk town centre last week (July 22), King Charles made a brief admission about his cancer.

One person in the crowd, Lee Harman, 54, asked the King about his cancer.

Speaking to PA, he said: “I asked him how he was, and he said he was feeling a lot better now and that it was ‘just one of those things.’”

After informing King Charles of his own battle with the disease, Harman added: “I said ‘I’m all good,’ I got the all clear from cancer last year.”

But one royal insider has suggested that the King will not be so lucky.

Royal insider Camilla Tominey, claimed in The Telegraph that sources have informed her that King Charles’s cancer is ‘incurable.’

Although it’s not clear what type of cancer he has, it’s previously been reported that it was caught at an early stage.

She says that while the monarch’s cancer is currently under control, it is ultimately incurable.

“The talk now is that he may die ‘with’ cancer, but not ‘of’ cancer following a rigorous treatment program,” Tominey said.

Despite the concern, the insider noted that there are already plans in the works for King Charles’ 80th birthday in 2028.

But because of his ill health, neither he nor Queen Camilla will ever move to Buckingham Palace.

Instead, the pair will remain just a stone’s-throw away in Clarence House, where they have resided for over 20 years.
