The Prince and Princess of Wales have revealed their official Christmas card with a personal touch this year, using a snapshot taken from the video released when Princess Catherine announced the end of her chemotherapy treatment.

The picture, which was captured by film maker Will Warr, shows the royal couple and their three children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis smiling with their arms around each other, after what has been a difficult year for the family.

It also includes the message which states: “Wishing you a Happy Christmas and New Year.”

A version of the card, along with a touch of festive spirit, was posted to Instagram where it gained over 215,000 thousand likes within 24 hours, as well as hundreds of messages from fans who wanted to express their love for the royals.

“Perfect Christmas card for everyone who watched the video. Have a blessed and healthy celebration,” wrote one user, while another added: “Merry Christmas to this beautiful family. It’s been a rough 2024 but you’ve made it through together. 2025 will be full of health and joy. We love you all!”

A third also chimed in writing: “Thanks for your beautiful card!! Happy Christmas, wishing your family a happy and healthy new year.”

And this user also sent their well wishes: “Happy, Safe and Healthy Christmas to you all.”

The emotional video was shared back in September when Catherine had completed her chemotherapy. The 42-year-old shared an emotional message with fans who were worried after she initially announced she was battling cancer in March earlier this year.

“The last nine months have been incredibly tough for us as a family. Life as you know it can change in an instant and we have had to find a way to navigate the stormy waters and road unknown,” she wrote in a caption alongside the video, which showed pictures of the family in the Norfolk countryside.

She continued: “The cancer journey is complex, scary and unpredictable for everyone, especially those closest to you. With humility, it also brings you face to face with your own vulnerabilities in a way you have never considered before, and with that, a new perspective on everything.”

She also noted that she hoped to remain “cancer free”, going on to thank her followers for their support during this difficult time.

“William and I are so grateful for the support we have received and have drawn great strength from all those who are helping us at this time. Everyone’s kindness, empathy and compassion has been truly humbling,” she wrote.

“To all those who are continuing their own cancer journey – I remain with you, side by side, hand in hand. Out of darkness, can come light, so let that light shine bright,” Princess Catherine added.
