How would Donald Trump and Barack Obama perform in a head-to-head election? A poll has revealed the hypothetical outcome.
Republicans claim that Trump won the presidential election with a ‘landslide’ victory in November 2024, following an election campaign like no other.
He faced bullets, scandals, rumors, and headlines, but still managed to become only the second Republican to win the ‘popular’ vote since 1988.
The president has faced a number of democratic opponents in his time, including Kamala Harris and Hillary Clinton.
And the party has also teased the president running for a third term in 2028, despite the fact that it would go against the U.S. constitution.
The 22nd Amendment prohibits anyone from being elected president more than twice.
But Trump has been very vocal about making a return in 2028, despite being in office for less than a year.

“A lot of people want me to do it,” he told NBC News.
“But, I mean, I basically tell them we have a long way to go, you know, it’s very early in the administration.”
But if the republicans did manage to get the enormous change in the Constitution over the line, who would he be up against?
Of course, there are many options.
However, the return of Barack Obama has been on everyone’s lips, following his successful tenure as President of the United States between 2009 and 2017.
So what would happen in a hypothetical head-to-head between Trump and Obama?
Well, a new poll has revealed all.
The research was conducted by Daily Mail and J.L. Partners, and proved to be very telling about the current mindset of Americans.
The study included 1,013 registered voters, and one leader performed particularly better than the other.
The poll revealed that of the voters who participated in the survey, 52 percent favored Obama, while just 41 percent backed Trump.

Obama performed particularly well among Hispanic voters, with 73 percent backing the former president.
Black voters also generally voted in favor of Obama, with 68 percent backing him compared to Trump.
But while Obama confidently defeated Trump in the hypothetical race for 2028 presidency, other potential opponents didn’t perform quite as well.
The poll revealed that Trump would in fact narrowly defeat both Hillary Clinton and former president Joe Biden.
It comes after questions surrounding the president’s mental acuity have arisen, after showcasing odd behavior at campaign events, during interviews, and at press conferences.
Speaking with The Guardian, psychologist John Gartner said: “What we see are the classic signs of dementia, which is gross deterioration from someone’s baseline and function.
“If you go back and look at film from the 1980s, [Trump] actually was extremely articulate.
“Now he really has trouble completing a thought and that is a huge deterioration.”
