On December 27, a Netflix special titled Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year aired on the streaming service and saw Blake Lively mentioned in a comment made by comedian Hannah Berner.
The show aired just days after news of Lively having filed a lawsuit against It Ends With Us co-star and director Justin Baldoni alleging he sexually harassed her – which didn’t land well with all viewers.
Attorney for Baldoni as well as Wayfarer Studios and its representatives, Bryan Freedman, told The Hollywood Reporter the accusations are ‘categorically false,’ slamming them as ‘another desperate attempt to “fix” her negative reputation which was garnered from her own remarks and actions during the campaign for the film; interviews and press activities that were observed publicly, in real time and unedited, which allowed for the internet to generate their own views and opinions’.
Author of which the It Ends With Us film was adapted from, Colleen Hoover, has since spoken out amid the lawsuit alongside Amber Heard.
Comedian Hannah Berner has also taken to social media too after a joke she made on Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year mentioning Lively was met with a bit of backlash.

During the special – which aired after news of the lawsuit arose – Berner made a brief comment mentioning Lively.
She said: “The word c**t was trending this year. I don’t think Blake Lively was that bad.”
And it didn’t take long for people to flock to social media to condemn the remark.
One Twitter user said: “It’s amazing to me that women aren’t supporting Blake Lively better.”
“How is that comedy,” another added.
A third commented: “That is not a nice word.”

Indeed, the Independent reports the special was filmed on December 17 at The Bellwether in Los Angeles.
