Pizza delivery driver ‘stabs pregnant woman 14 times in front of 5-year-old child’ after getting a $2 tip
A pizza delivery driver has been accused of stabbing a pregnant woman over what she believed was a low tip.
Tipping has become a serious issue across the world, with a handful of employees demanding that customers give them a tip that makes their time worthwhile.
However, one pizza delivery driver from Florida was allegedly left seething over a $2 tip from a pregnant woman which resulted in her stabbing her numerous times, as per a police report.
On Sunday, Brianna Alvelo, 22, was in the process of dropping off a pie at the Riviera Motel in Kissimmee when the customer paid for her $33 order with a $50 bill.
However, as Alvelo couldn’t change up the large note, the customer reportedly found $2 which she gave her as a tip instead. The driver then allegedly left the establishment and returned with a friend before allegedly stabbing the woman 14 times.

The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office revealed the details of the alleged incident in a press release posted to Facebook.
“It was discovered that the victim had ordered pizza from a local restaurant earlier in the evening, and Alvelo became upset about the tip she had received,” the statement said. “Alvelo later returned to the victim’s motel room with an unknown male suspect, who was armed with a firearm, and forced their way into the room. Alvelo, who was armed with a knife, began attacking one of the victims.
“The victim was stabbed multiple times, and items were taken from within the room,” it went on to say before noting that the victim “was transported to the hospital and is currently in stable condition.”
The pizza allegedly cost about $33, so Alvelo was asked to give change for a $50 bill, the affidavit said. But Alvelo did not have any change, and the woman searched for smaller bills, giving Alvelo only a $2 tip in the end, authorities added as per NBC News.
The outlet also reported that the victim was with her boyfriend and her five-year-old daughter at the motel, celebrating a birthday at the time.
According to police records reviewed by NBC, the victim then tried to shield her young daughter from the armed intruders and was hit in the back by the pair.
The woman then allegedly “threw her daughter onto the bed and attempted to pick up her phone,” only to have Alvelo smash it and that’s when the knife attack reportedly happened.
Alvelo was charged with attempted murder, home invasion with a firearm, assault, and kidnapping, according to sheriff’s department records.

In a statement, the owners of Marco’s Pizza, where Alvelo worked apologized for the incident.
“We are deeply saddened by the tragic incident that occurred,” said the statement, obtained by WKMG-TV News this week. “The local owner and his team are fully cooperating with local authorities, who have launched an investigation into the matter.
“The safety and well-being of customers and team members are always our top priority, and we are taking this incident very seriously,” they added.
