The sexual health expert shared the 10 sure-fire ways to spice things up beneath the sheets

If you’re looking for ways to change things up in the sheets or improve performance with your partner, then look no further…

Dr Rena Malik is a urologist, sexual health expert, and pelvic surgeon based in the US – and she’s now provided her expert advice on how you can spice your relationship up.

In the past, the medical professional has revealed how long sex lasts on average, warnings about No Nut November, and if size really matters. Now, posting advice on her YouTube channel, the expert gave us 10 ways to ‘increase pleasure’ in bed.

Communication

Though it might seem like a no-brainer, Dr Malik says that many of her partners go to see her and admit they haven’t asked their partner about said problem.

She explained: “Sometimes they’re just not sure and it’s not your fault because no-one taught us how to communicate about sex. It’s not something you learn in sex ed, it’s not something your parents usually talk to you about so how do you even start doing it?”

She pointed out that you have to communicate out of the bed room, and ensure it’s not a serious conversation right before or after being intimate.

It needs to be in a neutral situation where everyone can feel secure, and it may need a few conversations, emphasising that it’s nothing wrong with the other person, but more about what you want to try out.

Being open to masturbation

You might be surprised at that one, but Dr Malik says that it’s important to ‘be open’ and ‘learn’ from self-pleasure.

Describing it as a ‘great’ way to explore your own body, it can help you find out what works for you.

She pointed out: “Don’t take it as ‘oh, they’re finding pleasure by themselves, I’m gonna be replaced’, it’s more about ‘hey, this is great, my partner is finding pleasure and is able to communicate that with me!”

Highlighting that this can work in relationships where there are mismatched libidos, it’s also a way to find if the erogenous zones work for you.

Stimulate the clitoris

Aimed about men aiming to pleasure women, the health expert says that the first thing to aim for is ‘stimulating the clitoris’.

Using science to back it up, she explained: “80 to 90 percent of women need clitoral stimulation in order to climax,

“Because the clitoris is the homolog of the penis and what this means is that they both develop from the same tissue embryologically.”

Foreplay is key

While she explains that it’s key for men and women, she pointed out that it can take up to 20 to 30 minutes for women to become fully aroused.

Failing to do this can result in the sex being painful as the woman’s sexual organs aren’t lubricated enough.

Some women may find this harder to do due to age, or with it being a genetic condition, Dr Malik explains.

Use lube

While some people may avoid using this due to the stigmas around it, Dr Malik explains: “Lubrication is fun, it’s great, it’s cheap and the bottom line is lubricants are meant to make things more slippery, more fun and have less friction.”

She highlights that it’s for ‘every age’, as she advises that you use water-based ones as they are easy to find and buy.

Silicon-based lubricants are actually longer-lasting though, and oil-based lube also lasts longer, though it can break condoms.

It's also important to be open minded to new things, like using lube (Getty Stock Image)

Performance issues are okay

“There are times where a man will lose his erection early or ejaculate earlier than he wanted to and that’s okay,

“It’s important to realise that that’s not a sign that something is wrong with you,” the urologist highlighted.

Speaking to female viewers, she explained that it could be due to alcohol, medical issues, or something mentally – the point is it’s ‘okay to keep going’.

“There are other ways you continue pleasuring each each other,” as she suggested foreplay or even the use of toys.

Relax more

Basically, if your body is stressed, it releases cortisol and increases your fight or flight response.

Dr Malik added: “Your body can’t differentiate between a stressor like a lion coming after you, or a stressor like you had a rough day at work, your body does the same thing.

“If you’re stressed you’re just not going to be able to get blood flow to the genitals because it’s working somewhere else – it’s going to be much harder to get aroused,” the American health professional said.

Couples relaxation before getting intimate can help, and it could be anything from yoga or meditation together to getting a massage.

Communication is at the root at all of these points (Getty Stock Photo)

Schedule time for intimacy

Dr Malik noted that a lot of people wouldn’t want to ‘schedule sex’, as it should be spontaneous, but sometimes, life can take over.

“When you’ve won been in a longer term relationship or you’ve got other stressors in life, it’s more difficult to get aroused just by seeing your partner,” she explained.

Apparently, there are two types of desire – spontaneous desire, and responsive desire.

The latter isn’t triggered by just seeing them or thinking about them, but while you’re being intimate together and cuddling, or similar.

It signals to your body that you’re ready for a bedroom session, though if you’re lying in bed facing away from each other on your phones, it doesn’t help.

This is why scheduled time can make a difference, because you might have everything in life scheduled to a tee, apart from your sex life – which is time with your partner, after all.

Mindfulness

Being mindful is very important, and it means being present during intimacy and trying not to think about other everyday tasks.

It’s about living in the moment, focusing on the touch of your partner, if they smell nice, how it feels to be back with them after work.

“Focus on those sensations, it can lead to a overall better sex life, better pleasure, better orgasms, better overall experience during sex,” Dr Malik highlighted.

Exercise

This should be important anyway, from a health point of view, but it can help to reduce stress and improve long-term health.

She further explained: “Exercise has also been linked with increased sexual

arousal – that can be with things like walking, swimming, yoga, strength training,

all those things have been looked at to increase sexual arousal.”

She suggested going to the gym quickly, then come home to shower with your partner and ‘see where it leads’.

Why do commercials for Super Bowl LIX adverts cost so much?

Super Bowl LIX is almost here and with it, a flurry of commercials that have cost millions to make, and then air, on TV sets around the United States of America.

With the Kansas City Chiefs looking to secure a ‘three-peat’ of Super Bowl wins having won the Lombardi Trophy in 2023 and 2024, a big focus will be on Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce, with cameras expected to largely focus on the latter’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift (you might have heard of her).

Jalen Hurts and the Philadelphia Eagles will be looking to upset the Chiefs’ party in search of their second Super Bowl in nine years, with President Donald Trump watching on from the stands of the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

The Super Bowl, and the NFL in general, is known for its stop start nature, with breaks in play every time a ball goes out of bounds, when a play ends, and when a team uses a timeout.

And it is during these breaks, and the longer pauses when a quarter ends and before and after the halftime show – this year headlined by Kendrick Lamar – that the majority of specially-made Super Bowl adverts will be broadcast to the millions of eyes watching on from home.

Getting your advert on TV takes some amount of financial backing, mind, with the cost of a slot across the Super Bowl going up and up as time has gone on.

For 2025, CNN was told by Fox that it had originally asked for $7 million (£5.59 million) for 30 seconds of footage.

But a source informed the outlet that ‘at least 10’ Super Bowl commercial slots had been sold for more than $8 million (£6.39 million) for a half a minute slot.

Per second, we’re talking a whopping $266,666 (£213,074) handed over to Fox. Incredible scenes.

With many of these $8m deals happening decently, the confirmation of the likes of Kelce and Swift being a part of the event are likely to have played a role due to how many extra eyes will be on the TV due to the celebrity nature of the game.

And given the addition of social media in recent years and people actively seeking out Super Bowl commercials from an international audience, with the ads only for US audiences, there is more return for your buck than in previous years.

In 2024, adverts cost $7m, which is $233,333 (£186,440) per second.

It is a big contrast to the state of the commercial costs from the turn of the century, where in 2002 it would cost advertisers $2.2 million (£1.76 million) for a 30 second clip.

To complete the comparison, that is $73,333 (£58,595) a second.

Adverts for 2025 will be from the likes of Anheuser-Busch, which makes Bud Light and Michelob Ultra. Coors Light will also be having a slot alongside Reese’s, Uber Eats, and Taco Bell.

Away from food and drink there will be Booking.com, Dove, FanDuel, Duracell, and Tubi.

The YouTuber shared a tour of the suite onboard the Royal Caribbean cruise ship

Having the opportunity to travel the world is a lot of people’s dreams, but how about doing it in luxurious style?

One man took it upon himself to show people what you get when you splash $4,000 (£3,200) per night to stay in a spacious family suite on board the Royal Caribbean Utopia of the Seas cruise ship.

Sailing across the world as a form of travel is a pricier option than flying, but you do get quite a lot for your money, despite all the rules. But would you spend a few thousand every night at sea? YouTuber Bryan James shared his what the suite features.

In his channel description, he said he is ‘living on the world’s biggest cruise ships’, and also revealed that he will be sailing on the Utopia of the Seas cruise until 7 March, having disembarked for the first time on 22 October last year.

Bryan is working as a musician on board the cruise ship though, and won’t have the luxury of staying in the impressive suite.

People have booked the room in the past and revealing what’s really inside, with a father previously sharing what you get in the suite as part of a blog.

It’s full of quirky features, such as stairs which act as a piano, playing notes as you go up and down the steps, electronically operated blinds and more.

It’s ideal for families in particular, with the double bunk beds in the kids’ rooms boasting a TV per bed, along with their own headphones.

The two-story suite has three bedrooms in total, as Bryan toured around the unit with his camera, showing off the ‘really nice’ bathrooms and bedrooms.

There are also coloured windows on doors and walls, in various shapes, while featuring a massive magnetic board downstairs for the kids.

That’s not all though, as there’s a slide to get you from the top floor to the bottom, a cinema room, and all the latest game consoles to keep you entertained on the water.

Going out to the balcony, he found a hot tub, table tennis table, dining table, and a lovely view of the sea.

If all of this wasn’t enough, it turns out that occupants in the room get a ‘Royal Genie’, an on-call private butler that gets anything that you please.

Users took to the comments to share what they thought of the suite, as one wrote: “This for real shows how BIG this Suite is!!!!”

A second said: “Let’s be honest, Royal Caribbean is another level cruise line”

And another pointed out: “I would go insane with the musical stairs. I’m sure lots of kids would be going up and down constantly.”

Is the Drake curse still a thing?

Drake has publicly bet millions of dollars on the Super Bowl since 2022, but with his arch nemesis headlining the halftime show, will he do it again this year?

Kendrick Lamar, 37, is expected to perform the Grammy-winning diss track ‘Not Like Us’ at Super Bowl LIX, according to TMZ.

And fans are wondering if the Canadian rapper will tune in to watch the Caesars Superdome crowd shout ‘A-minorrrr’.

This comes after Drake’s legal team filed a defamation lawsuit against his own label, Universal Music Group, for releasing ‘Not Like Us’.

In the track, Kendrick calls the 38-year-old a ‘certified p**dophile’, while Drizzy has continuously denied the serious allegations.

But with Drake’s partnership with Stake.com, will he bet on this year’s Super Bowl final?

Identical twins who followed two different carb and fat diets for 12 weeks reveal shocking results

Ross and Hugo Turner are human guinea pigs for their experiments

A set of identical twins known for performing health trials on their body have settled the debate on whether following a high-fat or high-carb diet is better for the body.

36-year-old brothers Hugo and Ross Turner have become known as a pair of human guinea pigs in recent years, with the pair allowing themselves to be monitored during a series of lifestyle and fitness tests in the name of science.

The brothers have climbed Europe’s highest mountain in different sets of clothing order to understand the impact of high-altitude on the body, uncovered whether it’s better to work out for 20 or 40 minutes as well as comparing vegan and omnivore diets.

So it’s fair to say their nickname of ‘Adventure Guinea Pigs’ is one which is well-earned.

For their latest experiment, the brothers were once again testing the impact of diet on our health – this time comparing the merits of high-fat versus high-carb diets.

Explaining the experiment in an interview with Business Insider, the twins revealed that Ross had added 500 calories of carbs to his diet while Hugo did the same with fats. The rest of their respective eating schedules remained fairly similar.

The brothers then performed similar workout routines throughout the experiment in order to ascertain whether or not it was better to have more fats or more carbs.

So which diet is best for our bodies?

Well, it looks like the long-held demonisation of carbs has been an unfair one.

Scientists monitoring the pair at the University of Loughborough acknowledged the experiment wasn’t big enough to confirm whether one diet could be considered ‘better’ than the other.

However, there were differences in how both the brothers were feeling at the end of the process.

Results revealed that Hugo was able to gain more muscle by consuming a larger amount of high-fat foods such as olive oil, butter, nuts, eggs, and avocado, but the adventurer had admitted that he’d felt more fatigued on the diet.

Scientists found variations between the brother's bodies but stressed a balanced diet is best overall (Getty Stock Images)

“I just never felt good,” he admitted. “I was eating at least six times a day and never felt full or satisfied, hence I was constantly hungry.”

Meanwhile, Ross saw less muscle growth but also lost body fat and performed better on tests. He was able to feel fuller from the meals but also had cravings for higher fat foods.

So what does this mean for those of us mere mortals who are just looking to get healthier but don’t have access to laboratory-run tests? According to the scientists who ran the test, not much beyond the fact that’s important to follow a healthy and varied diet.

But you probably knew that anyway.

Woman who was filmed by furious mum after refusing to swap plane seat for crying toddler sparks online debate

The incident has provoked a debate over what is appropriate behaviour from parents on planes

A woman who was filmed on a plane after refusing to swap seats with a crying toddler has spoken out to give her side of the story.

Debates over what is and what isn’t acceptable plane etiquette isn’t anything new, with stories of people taking their shoes off mid-flight, fights over assigned seats and drunken behaviour going viral over the years.

And Brazilian woman Jeniffer Castro recently saw a clip of herself in this exact predicament circulating online.

During a short 50-minute journey between the cities of Rio de Janeiro to Belo Horizonte last December, Castro boarded the GOL Airlines flight to discover a young child was sitting in the window that she’d pre-booked.

Castro then asked the child’s mother for the youngster to move out of her seat – prompting the woman to whip out her phone and begin filming the 29-year-old, saying: “I’m recording your face, this is disgusting. It’s the 21st century and people have no empathy for children.”

Following the clip going viral on social media, Castro has appeared on Portuguese language podcast Cola Mais to give her side of the story – revealing she is considering taken action against the mother for sharing her face online.

“Measures are now being taken,” she reportedly answered, when being asked if she’d considered legal action.

“What I went through wasn’t easy. The flight attendants could have asked me if I need anything, or if I was bothered by the passenger, but they didn’t. They stayed out of it.”

LADbible Group has previously contacted GOL Airlines for comment.

Castro didn’t clarify whether or not the ‘measures’ she was considering taking were legal or not, but went on to shed further details on what went down during the short journey.

The 29-year-old explained that she’d waited for the toddler to leave after boarding the flight, before another passenger instructed her to change seats.

“A guy across the aisle said ‘Change with him, you sit next to the aisle and he’ll have your place’,” she said.

After getting her assigned seat, Castro claimed the mother behaved ‘very’ rudely towards her while the child ‘cried’ throughout the entire flight.

Castro also revealed that she was thankful for the support she’d received online from people who were supportive of her decision not to swap seats.

The video had received a mixed response from viewers, however, a good proportion agreed that it’s unacceptable to demand someone swap seats with you and then film them for saying no.

“She is well within her right not to move! I’m sick of self-entitled parents,” one person wrote under a clip of the video on Facebook.

“Passenger didn’t asked to be filmed because of parent being entitled. Hope she wins,” a second added.

Flat Earther has unexpected comeback after people claimed selfie taken from top of Mount Everest proved Earth is round

Flat Earther has unexpected comeback after people claimed selfie taken from top of Mount Everest proved Earth is round

The Earth isn’t flat, but hear me out on this on

This is something which has been proven by scientists, astronauts and viral YouTube experiments time and time again (hate to break it to you Flat Earthers but the world is round). Sorry.

So how then was a Flat Earther able to win an argument over a selfie taken on Mount Everest?

Just because the Earth is round, doesn’t mean us so-called ‘Round-Earthers’ are right about everything, as this unfortunate soul on Reddit discovered.

Taking to the thread r/pics, user u/amazed_spirit shared an apparent selfie on the tip top of Mount Everest, which stands at 29,030ft.

“Checkmate Flat Earth Society,” the caption read. And fair enough, the Earth’s horizon in the background does look pretty round.

But it didn’t take long for the original poster’s argument to be disproven, as you’d need to be at a height of 35,000ft minimum in order to see the Earth’s curvature.

Which means that summiting Everest means you’re still about 6000ft off.

U/SadConfiguration said: “You can’t see the curvature of the earth from the top of Everest. That’s a fisheye lens. Flat Earthers are a waste of skin but don’t be fooled into thinking you can see the curvature of the earth from 29,000ft. If that were true you could see it from plane windows.”

A user – who’s since deleted their account – wrote: “There is better evidence of earth being a globe than a fisheye-lens photo (namely science done thousands of years ago & verified ad nauseum).”

Mount Everest is pretty high, but not high enough to see the curvature of the Earth (Getty Stock Images)

Mount Everest is pretty high, but not high enough to see the curvature of the Earth (Getty Stock Images)

World Atlas also backs these arguments up, as a person standing on the summit of Mount Everest would be able to see 230 miles into the distance – which is not enough to see the curvature of the Earth.

Emboldened by the original faux pas, Flat Earther, Pete Svarrior took the opportunity to get a rare win over his adversaries and did a ‘quick Google reverse image search’ which came up with the ‘original photograph’.

Revealing his findings in Flat Earth Society forums, Svarrior wrote: “Sure enough, it wasn’t taken in 2018, and sure enough it has nothing to do with the Reddit user. It was actually taken in 2012 by Dean Carriere.

“More importantly, Dean was kind enough not to strip EXIF data from the photograph. A copy of the (seemingly) unaltered original file can be found here.

“Anyway, let’s finish stating the obvious, now that no speculation is required. The photo was taken with a GoPro Hero3-Silver Edition with a (35mm-film-equivalent) focal length of 16mm. It’s an ultra wide-angle lens, and so the entire image is distorted.”

An adjusted version of Dean Carriere's original photo (Instagram/dean_carriere, edited by Pete Svarrior)

An adjusted version of Dean Carriere’s original photo (Instagram/dean_carriere, edited by Pete Svarrior)

And as you can see in picture post adjustment, well, the curve is nowhere near as dramatic as the Reddit user’s post or the photograph with the lens effect still in play.

Although, the remaining slighter curve Svarrior puts down to an ‘irregular’ occurrence which he attributes to ‘imperfections in both the lens and the correction algorithm’ of course.

We’ll get ’em next time.

Haliey Welch admitted that her boyfriend also invested in her controversial cryptocoin

It seems like yesterday we were running around shouting ‘Hawk Tuah’ at each other, but the internet comes at you fast.

Things seem to speed up though, particularly if you’re getting accused of a ‘pump and dump’ crypto coin scheme.

The meaning is in the name, it’s when a coin is ‘pumped up’ in value by a celebrity or something else driving it, and then sold so that the creators can make profit.

‘$HAWK token’ lost its buyers millions, and as the face of it, ‘Hawk Tuah Girl’ Haliey Welch was cancelled on social media.

The cryptocurrency scandal threatened to end her career as quickly as her viral street video started it.

News of her alleged transgressions with the coin did the rounds online, but it looks like Welch is back, in a leaked podcast episode with content creator FaZe Banks.

The cryptocurrency, which reportedly reached a jaw-dropping value of $490 million (£393 million) at the end of 2024, CoinTelegraph reported that it dropped by more than 90 percent.

Lawsuits have been filed against those behind the coin, while the conversation around the unlawful promotion of selling cryptocurrency also became a popular topic online.

She took to her podcast to reveal that it wasn’t just regular people that suffered, as her own ‘pookie’ (boyfriend, for those not down with the slang), was also hit.

Kelby Blackwell, Welch’s significant other, even teases her about it.

“Pookie lost money too,” she revealed. “He said, ‘How you going to take my money?’ He still gives me s*** all the time. He says, ‘I wish I had my $300 back’,” Welch added.

It may just be $300 (£242), but the fact he had to bring it up really sends the message across.

Speaking more about the crypto venture as a whole, Welch admitted it didn’t go to plan, and felt sorry for those who lost money.

Explaining that it was a ‘friend of a friend’ who came up with the idea, she said: “It was brought to me as a long-term coin that would change the way everybody thinks about crypto,

“And I feel really bad for all the people that got affected by it. It just didn’t go the way I planned.”

Looking back, the internet star also said that she should have reacted more to red flags that she noticed about the person behind the project.

She admitted: “I probably should have looked into him a little bit more.

“He was acting a little bit weird on the day of the launch, and that made me suspicious.”

President Donald Trump has made history becoming the first serving US president to attend the Super Bowl in its 59th year.

But at what cost has it come to the taxpayer?

Well, apparently some people have crunched the numbers… but the figure varies considerably.

Anyway, Trump bared witness as the Philadelphia Eagles added a second Super Bowl to their trophy cabinet seeing off a toothless Kansas City Chiefs – who were favorites going into he match.

It was a convincing win for the Eagles who didn’t ship a touchdown until the third quarter, as the scoreline of 40 to 22 reflected how toothless the Chiefs were.

So what’s the eye-watering amount it reportedly cost for President Trump to attend Super Bowl LIX?

Well, according to one Threads user it will cost millions.

“Trump attending the Super Bowl will cost taxpayers an additional 4 million dollars,” they posted.

The post garnered plenty of attention with one person asking whether the POTUS is allowed to take personal time away from office.

They commented: “So he’s not allowed to have a day off? What about sleeping? That okay? Can he attend any form of public event or just certain ones?”

But over on Twitter the claims were even wilder.

One user posted: “Secret Service: $7M to $10M. Air Travel and Motorcade: $4M-5M. Stadium Security Upgrades: Additional metal detectors, bomb sweeps, security checkpoints: $2M. Local Law Enforcement: Overtime & personnel: $1M. Trump’s Super Bowl attendance: $15 to $20M. Where’s DOGE?”

‘DOGE’ is the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which Elon Musk is heading up, and has been created to streamline the government through plans to axe thousands of jobs and drastically reduce the wage bill.

Despite claims that the Republican’s attendance will cost the taxpayer millions of pounds, the authors of both posts did not back up their claims with facts.

However, the Super Bowl did heighten security after President Trump announced he was going to attend.

As well as the dominating Eagles performance, the 78-year-old also watched Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show – which he used to take a swipe at Drake amid their ongoing beef and legal battle.

He performed his Drake diss track ‘Not Like Us’, with the lyrics reading:”Say, Drake, I hear you like ’em young/ You better not ever go to cell block one/To any b**** that talk to him and they in love/Just make sure you hide your lil’ sister from him/They tell me Chubbs the only one that get your hand-me-downs.”

“And Party at the party playin’ with his nose now/And Baka got a weird case, why is he around?/Certified Lover Boy? Certified p**ophiles/Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, Dot, f*** ’em up/Wop, wop, wop, wop, wop, I’ma do my stuff.

Adult industry giant Riley Reid opened up about the unplanned on set incident

Popular adult star Riley Reid has made a grim admission about the worst thing she’s done while filming.

The Pornhub and OnlyFans creator is one of the most popular in the world, which is proved by her eye-watering earnings.

It’s said the adult industry titan has made a reported £15 million after 14 years in the line of work, having started aged just 19.

Reid, real name Ashley Matthews, has been given countless awards and was even inducted into the XRCO Hall of Fame back in 2021.

With so much experience though, comes many stories, enough to make you grimace.

Reid is now married and has a child of her own, though she hasn’t stopped making spicy content.

But she did make the move to stop shooting with men, believing it ruined her dating life, and a year later, she met her husband Pasha Petkuns.

However, when she was making content with men, she made a horrific error that’s enough to make any bloke cross their legs and cringe.

While speaking about BDSM on the Stiff Socks podcast, Reid was asked: “What’s the most you’ve ever f***ed somebody up on set?”

While she mentioned that she would have to stomp on guys and even kick them in the crown jewels, there was something worse, because it was unplanned.

“I actually once, or actually twice, cut a penis with my nails j***ing it off, my nails sliced going down,” she admitted while giggling. Sorry for putting that image in your head, lads.

The 33-year-old went on: “Before, I didn’t used to do acrylics and stuff ’cause I used to be all natural, so I’d just have like my real nails,” with co-host Trevor Wallace comparing it to ‘a bayonet’.

“Acrylics are thick so you can’t scratch it. I had my real nails which are thin so I slid it like a f***ing paper cut, and we couldn’t finish,” Reid said as she revealed that she’d accidentally done this to two poor lads.

“Every time his d*** got hard, blood would start squirting out of the little cut. I don’t know if it HURT hurt, it felt kind of like a paper cut,” the adult star explained, and then finally took the measure to file her nails down before future scenes.

Though it wasn’t on purpose, it sounds incredibly painful and thankfully for male actors in the industry, it didn’t happen again.
