Eminem appears to have removed controversial lyric from song in live performance after mum’s death

The rapper has removed a barbed lyric from a song during a recent live performance

Eminem’s mum, Debbie Nelson, passed away last week from complications of lung cancer at the age of 69 and it appears that the rapper is already trying to signify his remorse.

If you know anything about Eminem, you’ll know that his relationship with his mother was fraught.

In fact, the star has dissed Nelson in several songs over the years, including 2002’s Without Me.

However, during a recent concert at Abu Dhabi’s F1 Grand Prix, his performance of the song took out a line directed at his mother.

Whilst his fans continued to sing it, his decision to refrain said a lot about his intentions.

The line in question?

A simple ‘F**k you, Debbie.’

To say that the two of them had a strained relationship over the years would be putting it mildly.

At one point, Nelson even sued him for defamation after he called her out in one of his songs.

When she won $10 million in compensation, their divide deepened.

The offending line was from Eminem’s song My Name Is, in which he sang: “I just found out my mom does more dope than I do (Damn). I told her I’d grow up to be a famous rapper. Make a record about doin’ drugs and name it after her.”

In Cleanin’ Out My Closet, he went even further with his disdain for her, saying he hoped she would ‘burn in Hell’.

He also accused her of spiking his food with Valium as a child.

Reconciliation seemed to be possible after 2010, when Nelson was diagnosed with breast cancer.

He even released a song in 2013, in which he apologized to her.

Unfortunately, the truce didn’t last long and the two were back to feuding within a decade.

It’s not clear whether or not they made amends before her recent passing.

Nelson gave birth to Eminem, whose birth name was Marshall Mathers, when she was only 18 years old.

Due to her age, she struggled to keep a job.

This meant the family were constantly moving between Missouri and Michigan.

Nelson had repeatedly denied many of the accusations hurled at her by her famous son, including her alleged drug use.

At one point, she even tried her hand at musical messaging with the song ‘Dear Marshall’.

In it, she sang: “Dear Marshall, I just wanted to start by saying I still love you.

“Marshall, I did the best I could. I went without so you could have.”

However, it wasn’t all sweetness and light, as she made reference to creating a ‘spoilt and angry young man’.

It was a rocky relationship, but it has now come to an end.

TikTok star addresses Barry Keoghan cheating rumors after actor shared lengthy statement

The influencer claimed the rumors were ‘so ridiculous’

A TikTok star who sent rumors spiralling about allegedly cheating with Barry Keoghan has spoken out about the ‘ridiculous’ claims.

Despite reposting a TikTok claiming she was ‘home wrecking Sabrina Carpenter’s relationship’, Breckie Hill has shared a lengthy clip quashing the rumors.

Rumors claiming Keoghan, 32, had allegedly cheated on Carpenter, 25, after around a year of dating recently circulated online.

The pair seemed to be pretty serious about each other after he starred in the pop star’s ‘Please Please Please’ music video.

But when the rumors broke out, a source told Us Weekly that it had been ‘challenging’ to maintain the relationship while Carpenter was on tour, despite Keoghan being ‘very devoted to her happiness’.

After Hill reposted the ‘home wrecking’ clip, fans thought they had put two-and-two together, speculating that she was the woman who Keoghan allegedly cheated with.

However, in a video on TikTok, she revealed she only reposted the rumors because she found them ‘so ridiculous’.

Hill, 21, said: “I just recently got out of the hospital. I got into a skiing accident and I broke my spine.”

She continued: “Now that I’m out of the hospital, I just wanted to make this video and address these rumors that have been circulating all throughout the internet.

“To put it simply for you all, no, I did not get with Barry. I have never encountered this man in my life. The only time I’ve seen him is on my TV from watching Saltburn.”

The influencer added: “I’m sorry but if I really was the one getting with Barry, why in the world would I be reposting about it? … Coming from someone who has been cheated on … I would never want to homewreck any relationship or put any girl through that pain – ever.”

Hill previously came under fire after she referred to a drink as ‘too salty’ which fans thought was a reference to Saltburn, a film which Keoghan starred in.

In the TikTok, she noted that she had ‘never gone through a worse time in her life’.

Hill also urged viewers to stop ‘tearing people down’.

Keoghan also released a lengthy statement calling out the ‘lies, hatred and disgusting commentary’ following his rumored split from Carpenter.

Taking to Twitter, the 32-year-old wrote: “I can only sit and take so much. My name has been dragged across the internet in ways I usually don’t respond too.

“I have to respond now because it’s gettin to a place where there are too many lines being crossed. I deactivated my account because I can no longer let this stuff distract from my family and my work. The messages I have received no person should ever have to read them. Absolute lies, hatred, disgusting commentary about my appearance, character, how I am as a parent and every other inhumane thing you can imagine.”

Keoghan added: “Dragging my character and everything I worked extremely hard for and stand for. Talking about how I was a heroine baby and how I grew up and dragging my dear mother into it also. Knocking on my grannies door. Sitting outside my baby boys house intimidating them. Thats crossing a line.

“Each and every day I work harder to push myself on every level to be the healthiest and strongest person for that boy. I want to provide opportunities for him to learn, fail and grow. I want him to be able to look up to his daddy, to have full trust in me and know I will have his back no matter what.

“I need you to remember he has to read ALL of this about his father when he is older. Please be respectful to all. Thank u x.”

The Irish actor has a two-year-old son, Brando, with former partner Alyson Sandro.

James Franco explains how life has changed after being ‘cast out’ of Hollywood

James Franco stars in a new Italian drama film

Five years have passed since James Franco faced a lawsuit following accusations of sexual misconduct, and the once-Hollywood A-lister has now opened up about how drastically his life changed.

His name became synonymous with the film industry, mainly for his comedic performances in movies such as The InterviewPineapple Express and This is the End, but he also was nominated for an Oscar back in 2011 for his leading role in 127 Hours.

That life has long gone for the 46-year-old who admitted he is now trying to ‘move on’.

In many of the productions he’s featured in Seth Rogen has as well, they became an iconic duo but he too cut him off.

This came after Franco faced accusations of sexual misconduct in 2019 and at the time he claimed the allegations were ‘not accurate’ but that he didn’t want to ‘shut down’ those who ‘didn’t have a voice’.

The allegations came from two of his former students at Studio 4, his now-defunct film school, and he ended up settling the lawsuit by agreeing to pay them $2.23 million.

In December 2021, Franco confessed to sleeping with students at his acting school while appearing as a guest on The Jess Cagle Podcast, explaining that he was ‘wrong’ but that ‘it wasn’t a master plan’ – he didn’t plan to do it beforehand.

“Being told you’re bad is painful,” he said.

“But ultimately, that’s kind of what I needed to just stop going the way I was going.”

Now, speaking to Variety after his latest movie Hey Joe was just released in Italian cinemas, Franco spoke about being ‘cast out’ of Hollywood.

When asked if he thought the way he was treated was ‘unfair’, he replied: “I mean, it is what it is. I’ve honestly moved past it. It was dealt with, and I got to change.

“So that’s it, it’s over. I mean, I’ve worked in the US too. So I’m just trying to move on.”

The actor went on to explain how he used the timeout that was forced upon him to ‘pause’ and change his ‘priorities’ and now seeks alternative things to ‘fulfil him in life’.

“Ultimately, I think I’m kind of grateful because it did afford me a chance to just do whatever private work and really change what I need to change,” Franco added.

“So now that I am working, I can just be there for the project. It’s not about me trying to fill some hole with work, it’s just about, ‘Wow, I have a really great life. I’m very grateful, and I hope to serve whatever project I do’.”

The former Love Island star and doctor is celebrating a hefty stint of sobriety

He also explained how long it takes for our bodies and brains to bounce back after quitting the liquor once and for all.

Dr Alex George from Wales shot to fame after appearing on the hit British TV show, Love Island, in 2018.

Since his TV debut, the physician works to raise awareness on topics close to his heart, such as mental health and now, more recently, going teetotal.

Holly Bowles, 19, passes away in Laos after drinking contaminated alcohol

The 33-year-old shared his two-year sobriety journey on his YouTube channel, @DrAlexGeorge, and in the 30 minute clip revealed some surprising insight into what it’s like to really ditch booze for good.

Dr Alex quit for good two years ago (

Karwai Tang/WireImage)

Dr Alex started by answering how he ‘got into this mess’, saying that medics often turn to alcohol to relieve stress and pressure, though his relationship with booze turned sour over a period of six years.

He explained: “It’s something that crept up on me and I didn’t really realize how much of a problem it was until I’d stopped drinking for about six months.”

His life changed ‘dramatically’ since leaving the reality TV show as he said he started to use alcohol to ‘numb’ and ‘calm’ his nerves when attending social events – and then he suffered a traumatic event, with not only the pandemic but the loss of his brother who died at the age of 19 in 2020 to suicide.

Dr Alex said he coped by throwing himself into work – and to booze to ‘suppress’ those emotions.

It was on December 4, 2022, that the physician had his eureka moment when sat in the chair at his hairdressers as he said he looked ‘lost’, ‘puffy’, overweight, and feared he could die at 40 if he didn’t make a change.

Dr Alex admitted it took a while for his body to adjust to quitting alcohol, particularly when it came to sleep.

He explained: “It’s because, although alcohol leaves your system very quickly, the effects on your body takes many many months to change and reverse.

“One of the things that does take time is the effect on your brain. Alcohol causes cellular death in the brain. It kills brain matter.

“If we drink over a long period of time, it causes all sorts of issues. When you stop drinking […] it takes time for your brain to adapt to a non-alcohol state.”

However, once he mastered the art of ‘sober sleep’ after about eight weeks, he said the benefits are an ‘absolute game changer’.

He continued: “All of sudden, falling asleep is easier. You enter deeper sleep and wake up feeling rejuvenated.”

Quitting alcohol is no small feat, particularly when many social events often start – and end – in a pub or bar.

However, the Welsh doctor said while he still enjoys socializing in bars, he soon discovered most people don’t care about his decision.

He continued: “You might get somebody asking ‘You want a drink?’

“As soon as you’ve answered a couple of questions, nobody cares.

“And even if they do care, they forget because they’re probably drinking.”

The doctor added another major benefit to giving up is the extra time he’s found to pursue other hobbies and interests and had some words of advice for those looking to follow in his footsteps.

Dr Alex said: “If you feel like you can go and not drink, it’s really useful.

“You can go and enjoy it, and realize you didn’t need a drink to enjoy it.”

Juan Soto makes history by signing world's richest sports contract ever with New York Mets for $765,000,000

The 26-year-old baseball outfielder has landed himself the largest deal in professional sports history

Juan Soto is reportedly set to sign a $765 million deal with Major League Baseball’s New York Mets.

On Sunday (December 8), the Mets are reported as having offered the baseball outfielder – full name Juan José Soto Pacheco – a 15-year contract for a staggering amount of money, according to multiple sources.

And the deal doesn’t just stop there either.

What is the deal?

Soto has just spent one season with rivals The New York Yankees, who reportedly offered him $760 million for a 16-year contract, however, representatives for the baseball player stated that he would be signing with the biggest deal which comes his way.

And this deal certainly dwarves all others, multiple sources telling MLB The Mets deal with the 26-year-old is for a whopping $765 million, including a $75 million signing bonus alongside an op-out after five seasons and no deferred money – the contract ultimately potentially ending up worth over $800 million.

And other historical deals don’t even really come close in comparison.

Historical deals

In March, 2021, Francisco Lindor signed with the New York Mets for a 10-year contract worth $341 million, and in March 2019, Mike Trout signed to the Los Angeles Anegls for 12 years for a mega $426.5 million.

In December 2023, Japanese baseball player, Shohei Ohtani, signed a decade-long contract too – worth an eye-watering $700m – with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

However, Soto’s deal ultimately overtakes them all and is, on record, the largest in professional sports history.

And it’s not taken long for baseball fans to weigh in.

One Twitter user said: “Holy moly, that’s more than enough! That’s $51 million per year.

That’s $980,769 per week! Overpaid? Yeah my boss thinks I’m overpaid at $1000 per week.”

“You could buy an entire team with that much money,” another added.

A third commented: “Baseball clears every sport tbf,” while a fourth resolved: “CHRISTMAS CAME EARLY.”

Granted, it’s a hell of a lot of money, but Soto’s deal very much reflects his stellar career so far, despite only still being 26 years old.

He’s become known as one of the greatest hitters the sport has ever had, breaking into the league when he was just 19.

Soto already has 201 home runs to his name, alongside a 2020 bating title and five Silver Slugger Awards.

MLB reports: “In 4,088 career plate appearances, Soto owns a .285/.421/.532 slash line. His on-base percentage is the best among active Major Leaguers.”

‘Worst Episode Ever’: Viewers React to Season 5, Episode 13 of ‘Yellowstone’ as a Popular Supermodel Makes a Cameo

“Yellowstone’s” official account welcomed the supermodel to the show’s family, though it remains unclear whether she will appear in any future episodes of the neo-Western drama television series.

Viewers were left disappointed by the unexpected cameo of Bella Hadid in “Yellowstone’s” Season 5, Episode 13, with many expressing their frustration on social media.

In the episode titled “Give The World Away,” which aired on December 8, 2024, Beth Dutton played by Kelly Reilly travels to Texas to meet with Travis, portrayed by Taylor Sheridan.

Upon arriving at his home, Beth is introduced to Travis’ girlfriend, Sadie, played by supermodel Hadid. The episode also features a brief cameo from Hadid’s real-life boyfriend, Adan Banuelos.

Viewers were surprised by Hadid’s casting, questioning its necessity and criticizing the writers for straying from the show’s core. One viewer couldn’t hold back, saying, “Worst episode in Yellowstone history.” Another viewer added to the criticism, “This part of the episode was very unnecessary…”

A different user voiced their displeasure, “Worst episode ever, just wasted my hour watching nonsense. Hopefully next episode is better.” Another user decided to point fingers, penning, “A spoiled brat actor ruined it,” while one fan declared, “Yellowstone TRASH, tonight’s episode! So disappointing and left off with so many unanswered questions.”

Some fans were more focused on the supermodel’s unexpected appearance, with one person noting, “This is the most random cameo on tv 😂,” and another individual exclaiming, “What is Bella Hadid doing here?”

For some, it was all about the show’s direction. “This was unnecessary, no point to Yellowstone! Just someone showing how much money they have and wanted to show it off! Very disappointed, when your [sic] the writer, you can do what ya want!” one fan lamented.

Another viewer similarly voiced, “Ugh was this necessary? We want to see the OGs, not some random model posted in the 2nd to last episode.”

A more conflicted fan expressed their mixed feelings, “I really love Bella but this was unnecessary from my point of view. Now you’re going to think I’m watching Yellowstone just because she appears.”

On the performance side, one person bluntly remarked, “Zero talent,” while another humorously added, “Bella Hadid on Yellowstone is crazy work.” The cameo didn’t sit well with everyone, as a frustrated fan wrote, “Gotta be honest, when I saw Bella Hadid, kinda rolled my eyes. Awful casting, bring back Abby! #Yellowstone.”

Some took their criticism a step further wondering if the plot and casting choices were the reason Kevin Costner, a former main character, departed. One viewer remarked, “I see why Kevin had enough and left. These episodes are stupid.”

Another viewer didn’t mince words either, jotting, “Can do without this episode! No wonder Costner quit.” A fan who had strong feelings about the episode shared, “Tonight’s episode of Yellowstone was the worst in it’s series history, nauseating to even watch. Team Kevin even more than before if that’s even possible.”

Some had a more specific gripe about the casting, with one joking, “I know this man Taylor Sheridan didn’t just write Bella Hadid into Yellowstone and made her his girlfriend 😂.”

Finally, a viewer summed up the overall sentiment by stating, “Yellowstone has gotten so random 🤷🏽‍♀️Bella Hadid! The gross scene with the women in their undies. The writers are phoning it in for the last season.”

Despite the criticisms, Bella Hadid has received a warm welcome from the “Yellowstone” team, who wrote on Instagram, “Welcome to the Yellowstone family, @bellahadid! #YellowstoneTV.” It is still unclear if the supermodel will have more screen time. However, her debut episode has faced backlash.

A reviewer criticized the penultimate episode of “Yellowstone” for wasting valuable time with unnecessary filler, rather than advancing the season’s key storylines. They expressed disappointment with the episode, noting that it failed to deliver exciting moments, leaving viewers with a forgettable experience.

As the penultimate episode did not meet viewers’ expectations, it puts even more pressure on the finale, with fans now anticipating action-packed scenes and long-awaited answers to lingering questions. The finale will need to deliver on these fronts to satisfy the audience and close the series on a high note.

However, season 5, episode 12 of “Yellowstone” had more action compared to its penultimate episode. A shocking horse-related death stunned fans, igniting debates about the show’s daring twists and sudden losses of beloved fan-favorite characters.

The episode centered on the sudden, tragic death of Colby, a beloved ranch hand played by Denim Richards, sparking an outpouring of emotions on social media.

The dramatic moment unfolded as Carter, a young member of the Dutton Ranch team, attempted to handle a volatile horse nicknamed “Maneater.” While trying to refill the animal’s water trough, Carter was attacked, leaving his face bloodied.

Colby rushed to intervene, stepping into the danger zone to protect the teen. Tragically, Maneater trampled Colby before delivering a fatal kick to his chest, leaving fans devastated by the cowboy’s sudden and heroic death. “So upset with tonight’s episode 😭 why Colby!” one viewer exclaimed.

Another expressed their frustration, “Wow, not Colby! I’m so fed up rn 😂[sic].” The emotional weight of Colby’s death resonated deeply, with one fan remarking, “That hurt worse than Johns [sic].” Someone else typed, “Can’t believe Colby is gone.”

Meanwhile, others commented on the rapid losses of the show’s roster including Costner’s John Dutton III, “Characters dropping like flies after John Dutton exited.”

More viewers took to social media to express a range of strong emotions following Colby’s unexpected death. One described the event as unnecessary.

Another reflected on Colby’s demise in comparison to John Dutton’s earlier departure, noting that this latest loss felt more emotionally impactful. One commenter described the death as particularly devastating, emphasizing its unique emotional weight.

Colby’s tragic fate followed Episode 11, which featured the violent death of Sarah Atwood, a longtime adversary of the Dutton family.

Episode 11 revealed Sarah’s downfall after her plot to assassinate John was uncovered by Beth and Kayce. Outmaneuvered, Sarah faced betrayal from her own hired hitman, who turned on her to avoid exposure once John’s death was officially ruled a homicide.

While some viewers praised the acting in Sarah’s final scene, some critiqued the pacing of her demise, wishing she had faced more consequences before her death.

Sarah’s abrupt end marked a pivotal shift in the season’s trajectory, largely influenced by behind-the-scenes factors. Dawn Olivieri, who played the cunning character, reflected on her character’s evolution and the accelerated storyline.

Speaking about the changes necessitated by Costner’s departure, Olivieri remarked, “We had to wrap this all up in lightning speed.” Her portrayal of Sarah — described as a serpent and chameleon — captivated audiences, even as they cheered her downfall.

While many fans relished her exit, not everyone was satisfied with how her story unfolded. A recurring sentiment was disappointment that Beth, known for her ruthless tactics, didn’t get to exact her revenge directly.

Fans expressed frustration on Facebook, wishing Beth had taken her revenge on Sarah personally before her demise.

The episode also heightened tension for Jamie Dutton, Sarah’s co-conspirator. With the Dutton family closing in and fans speculating about his fate, one viewer aptly noted, “Jamie is next.”

Family blames Elon Musk after son dies while Tesla was driving in ‘autopilot’ mode

It was alleged that Tesla’s autopilot driving feature is ‘ill-equipped’

Genesis Giovanni Mendoza Martinez, 31, was crushed to death on February 18, 2023, after using his Tesla’s ‘autopilot’ drive – allowing users to take a back-seat while the car drives itself.

A lawsuit has been filed by Mendoza’s parents, Eduardo and Maria, and his brother Caleb, who was also injured during the crash.

They are currently blaming company’s CEO Elon Musk, after allowing the ‘ill-equipped’ feature to be used on the roads.

Tesla has argued that the cars have ‘a reasonably safe design as measured by the appropriate test under the applicable state law’.

(Contra Costa County Fire Protection District)

They also suggested that accident may have been partly caused by Mendoza’s ‘own negligent acts and/or omissions’.

“No additional warnings would have, or could have prevented the alleged incident, the injuries, losses and damages alleged,” the company responded in a court filing.

But it’s not just the family who have blasted the company for its futuristic features.

The US government has made its stance clear, as transportation secretary Pete Buttigieg in particular, has strongly opposed the ‘autopilot’ technology.

Attorney Brett Schreiber, who is representing the Mendoza’s, told the Independent: “This is yet another example of Tesla using our public roadways to perform research and development of its autonomous driving technology.

“What’s worse is that Tesla knows that many of its earlier model vehicles continue to drive our roadways today with this same defect putting first responders and the public at risk.”

He added that the loss of Mendoza was ‘entirely preventable’.

The attorney described Tesla’s ‘autopilot’ feature as ‘ill-equipped to perform’, and accused them of ‘rushing’ to push product out.

The Mendoza family says their son was persuaded to buy the car after seeing an abundance of marketing from Musk, showcasing the self-driving feature.

Schreiber added: “Giovanni believed his claims were true, and thus believed the ‘Autopilot’ feature with the ‘full self driving’ upgrade was safer than a human driver, and could be trusted to safely navigate public highways autonomously.”

The vehicle he was driving had been in auto-pilot for 12 minutes prior to the crash, and had been driving at an average speed of 71mph.

It collided with a firetruck at a high speed, resulting in his death.

Four firefighters also suffered minor injuries as a result of the failed autopilot system.

And Mendoza isn’t the first to have been victim of a crash using the feature.

Between 2015 and 2022, Tesla customers reported 1000 crashes using the system, and over 1,500 complaints about sudden, unintentional braking.

Black Harris staffers say they were mistreated on the campaign, blames leadership for taking base for granted

The allegations only came to light now because staffers were reportedly advised against speaking out

Black Harris staffers are accusing the campaign leadership of mistreatment and “outright racial discrimination” in a damning new article outlining numerous allegations against the now defunct campaign

The New York Times published a story Sunday titled “How Alarmed Harris Staffers Went Rogue to Reach Black and Latino Voters.” The story details a clandestine operation by some campaign staffers who ignored directives from the top and took matters into their own hands after feeling frustrated by the campaign’s lack of sufficient effort to reach voters of color in Philadelphia.

“Many staff members felt that Philadelphia’s racially diverse neighborhoods were ignored,” the Times story reads, adding that “Black campaign staff members and political operatives said campaign leadership dismissed concerns that Democrats were taking their base for granted.”

As the election drew closer, the frustration with campaign leadership on the issue reached a boiling point, according to more than 30 staffers interviewed by The Times.

“After Ms. Harris’ loss, Black campaign employees set up a call to talk about career opportunities with Angela Rye, a political strategist and podcast host. The discussion quickly shifted as they shared their anger at how the campaign had treated them, and how underfunded and haphazard their field operations had been in several battleground states, according to a recording of the call obtained by The Times,” the article reads.

Some staffers were also reportedly peeved that the campaign did not hire enough people of color or contract with consulting firms that had Black or Latino owners.

The Times story cites staff members who alleged that many campaign offices in Philadelphia were “filthy and lacked basic supplies like tables, chairs, cleaning products and printers.” Some campaign offices targeting predominantly Black communities were moved to upscale areas, far from the areas they were assigned to serve, according to the Times.

The Harris campaign reportedly commissioned an internal survey, which concluded “that Black staff members were frustrated with campaign leaders and felt that their ideas were ignored at a rate far higher than their peers,” according to the Times.

“Some complained of outright racial discrimination. The campaign’s leadership was made aware of the survey’s results,” the article says.

Staffers were reportedly afraid to leak these allegations to the press for fear of ruining future job prospects. The Times cited an all-staff call after the election hosted by Quentin Fulks, the principal deputy campaign manager, who allegedly told staffers that talking to the media would hurt their careers.

Harris campaign spokeswoman, Lauren Hitt, reportedly denied that Fulks had “used that language or tone on the call, and said that he had instead counseled staff members against saying something in a moment of anger that could come to hurt themselves or the vice president,” the Times noted.

The article features Quentin James, founder of the Collective PAC, a group that focuses on Black elected officials and voters that worked with the Harris campaign, who revealed “frantic staff members in Philadelphia, Detroit and North Carolina calling him in the final weeks of the race to say they did not have enough money to provide food or water to volunteers.”

Still, “Harris campaign leaders seemed in denial about the situation in Philadelphia,” the Times wrote.

“Late on election night, Jen O’Malley Dillon, the campaign chair, wrote an all-staff email saying that the Harris campaign had ‘over-performed turnout expectations there,’ especially in areas with nonwhite voters.”

But it was Trump who over performed with key demographics in Pennsylvania, improving his numbers in predominantly-Black and Latino areas which helped him win the critical battleground state and ultimately the presidency on Election Night.

Harris, by contrast, netted more than 30,000 less votes in Philadelphia than President Biden did in 2020.

Some Democratic operatives and campaign staffers still disagree on whether it was voter outreach that fell short with people of color or a lack of relatable messaging by the candidate.

Kellan White, a senior adviser to the Harris campaign in Pennsylvania, told the Times, “This campaign did more in Philadelphia to reach Black and Latino voters than any campaign has done in a long time. The issue is not that we didn’t knock on these doors — we knocked on a ton of doors. The problem was that the message itself didn’t connect — and that’s what we as a party need to spend our time and energy on, trying to understand why when we knocked these doors, what we had to say didn’t resonate with enough voters.”

Comedian Chris Rock appeared as a surprise guest but ended up leaving soon after

Comedian Chris Rock allegedly cut short a stand-up set and stormed out of a holiday party being hosted by a billionaire after seeing something that ‘upset him’.

News of Rock’s sudden departure comes from New York Post writer Cindy Adams, who wrote in an article published on Sunday (December 8) that she’d witnessed the scene while in attendance at the party hosted by Anthony Pratt.

An Australian businessman, Pratt is an executive chairman of the recycling and packaging business Visy Industries, known as Pratt Industries USA in the US, which was started by his grandfather in Melbourne in 1948.

According to Forbes, Pratt has a net worth of $11.3 billion, and on Saturday night (December 7) he used some of his wealth to throw what Adams described as a ‘part business, part holiday’ party.

The event was hosted at a Mandarin Oriental hotel and featured a sit-down dinner with multiple courses, followed by a Keith Urban concert. Attendees included customers and longtime employees at Pratt’s business, as well as the surprise guest, Rock.

Rock’s set came after a performance from a comedian named Wali Collins, who entertained the guests during the first course of the meal.

Adams explained in the Post article that Rock was the entertainment for the second course, writing: “No big announcement. Nobody had seen him. Nobody heard he’d be there. He’d been officially hidden.”

The comedian and Grown Ups star was described as being ‘casually dressed’ as he appeared on stage to ‘big applause’ and ‘big excitement’, but guests apparently didn’t get to enjoy his jokes for long as it turned out to be a ‘very short set’.

Adams claimed that Rock was ‘barely minutes’ into his set when he ‘saw something the audience did not’.

She believes the comedian clocked something while looking into the crowd, who were positioned in front of the back walls and exit doors of the room.

Adams claimed: “Whatever he saw – or thought he saw – upset him. Like he went momentarily ape and shouted something like he wasn’t supposed to be taped, videoed, reported or whatever else wasn’t supposed to happen.”

Rock reportedly didn’t offer any explanation, but he ‘didn’t do one more minute’ of the set.

He allegedly moved ‘quickly, forcefully’ through the crowd to the exit and ‘stormed out’ without a ‘second’s hesitation’.

Adams recalled the audience as being ‘stunned’ by the sudden turn of events, but the night soon got back on track with a lengthy set from Urban.
