Princess Diana’s final words have been revealed by a firefighter who held her hand after the fatal car crash.

Shockwaves were felt around the world when, 28 years ago, Princess Diana tragically died.

On August 31, 1997, the 36-year-old and her partner Dodi Fayed were trying to escape photographers in Paris when the car they were travelling in crashed.

It’s reported that chauffeur Henri Paul lost control of the car at the entrance to the Pont de l’Alma underpass and struck another vehicle, before swerving to the left of the two-lane tunnel and colliding with a column at an estimated 65 mph.

The crashed claimed Diana, Dodi, and Henri’s lives. The only passenger to survive was Dodi’s bodygard, Trevor Rees-Jones.

Emergency services rushed to the scene following the catastrophic crash, and among the first to arrive was firefighter Xavier Gourmelon.

Gourmelon said he didn’t immediately recognize Diana, but said that the ‘blonde woman’ in the backseat was conscious when he approached the vehicle.

The firefighter claims he was was holding her hand and reassuring her while they waited for her to be extracted from the wreckage when Diana said four words that would end up being her last.

“My God, what’s happened?” she asked moments before going into cardiac arrest.

Diana was later pronounced dead at Pitie-Salpetriere hospital in Paris. Speaking to The Sun, Gourmelon recalled what happened on that tragic night.

“I massaged her heart and a few seconds later she started breathing again. It was a relief of course because, as a first responder, you want to save lives – and that’s what I thought I had done’, he told the outlet.

“To be honest, I thought she would live. As far as I knew when she was in the ambulance she was alive and I expected her to live. But I found out later she had died in hospital. It was very upsetting. I know now that there were serious internal injuries, but the whole episode is still very much in my mind,” he continued.

“The memory of that night will stay with me forever. I had no idea then that it was Princess Diana. It was only when she had been put into the ambulance that one of the paramedics told me it was her.”

People around the world grieved following the news of Diana’s death. Tens of thousands of people are said to have flocked to Kensington Palace to pay their respects, and her televised funeral was watched an estimated 2.5 billion people worldwide.

Kendra Licari speaks out for the first time since her arrest in the Netflix doc

A mother who was found to have been sending her daughter daily death threats is the subject of a new Netflix documentary taking the internet by storm.

The wild Netflix doc features the first interview with her since the incident, as well as police body-cam footage showing her being confronted by police.

The documentary focuses on a young girl who, in late 2020, began receiving bizarre text messages.

Lauryn Licari and her at-the-time-boyfriend Owen began receiving numerous text messages and, in 2021, these escalated to full on regular death threats.

Eventually this led to the FBI becoming involved and the trail lead back to Lauryn’s Mum, Kendra Licari.

The documentary, called Unknown Number: The High School Catfish, has shocked Netflix viewers on social media with its insane twists and turns as they try and figure out why Kendra did it.

Twenty-two months after the messages began, however, Isabella County Sheriff Mike Main discovered that it was actually Lauryn’s mum sending the vile messages.

Footage included in the documentary sees Main going to the family’s home to ‘try and get a confession’.

After a brief discussing with Kendra, he explains that they have found information tracing the messages back to her, saying: “The messages coming were originating from you… your number even though it was being hidden was showing up on every message.”

She then responds stating that she didn’t start the messages but did indeed send her daughter some of the messages she received. Lauryn and Owen were at times receiving up to 12 messages a day.

Dave Barberi, the prosecutor who eventually led the case in which Kendra was found guilty of two counts of stalking a minor that earned her up to five years in jail, said in the documentary that it wasn’t a ‘clear confession’, though she didn’t deny it.

The bodycam footage then shows the Sheriff informing both Lauryn and her Dad, Kendra’s at-the-time wife, Shawn Licari.

Speaking in the Netflix doc, Shawn admitted that he never imagined that it could have been the person telling their daughter to kill herself.

Shawn now lives in Michigan and has full custody of Lauryn.

Kendra speaks in the documentary for the first time since she was released from jail last year, shown in tears after the footage is shown.

She said of the day in which it was revealed she was the one sending the messages: “It was a very high emotional day in our house, a day of confusion.”

She goes on to bizarrely state: “Every single one of us makes mistakes, not a single one of us has lived a perfect life and, realistically, a lot of have probably broke the law at one point or another and not got caught.

“I know to some I’m a headline; I’m a villain I’m a bad Mum, I’m a whatever. But that’s because they know one little piece of my story, they don’t know my whole story.”

Kendra states in the doc that she was assaulted when she was around her daughter’s age at the time of the messages, and that she was scared of her growing up and so wanted to keep her close.

Viewers were not sympathetic to Kendra despite this, however, with one tweet about the documentary saying: “Why is Kendra acting as if she made a silly mistake like forgetting to pick her daughter up from school, this woman is seriously unwell how she is not in jail is beyond me.”

Former President Joe Biden was seen walking and smiling with daughter Ashley in pictures she posted on Instagram over the weekend — as a macabre Internet rumor claimed President Trump had died.

“I feel so grateful for our walks and talks. #1 dad,” she wrote under a picture of herself and her father walking in Cape Henlopen State Park in Delaware.

The photo shows Ashley, 44, smiling broadly as she looks at the camera, the 82-year-old former president by her side on one of the park’s walking trails.

Another snapshot depicted the father-and-daughter duo standing on a boardwalk at the edge of the Delaware Bay, the ex-commander-in-chief clad in navy blue shorts, black walking shoes, a long-sleeve top with the collar popped, a baseball cap and his trademark aviator sunglasses.

It was the first time Joe Biden was photographed publicly since July 31, when he addressed the National Bar Association’s 100th Annual Awards Gala in Chicago. Biden’s office announced May 18 that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer that had spread to his bones.

Meanwhile, the Internet conspiracy machine ginned up a dark rumor that Trump had passed away after the White House released a blank schedule showing no public events over Labor Day weekend, sparking hashtags such as #TrumpIsDead” and “#WhereIsTrump to trend on X.

The president’s thin holiday weekend schedule was announced four days after Trump’s last public appearance during a cabinet meeting Tuesday.

But Trump-haters’ hopes were dashed when a photo surfaced showing him dressed in a white polo, black pants and his signature red MAGA hat Saturday morning with his granddaughter, Kai Trump, 18, as the duo headed to Trump National golf course in Sterling, Va.

Trump did not appear in front of reporters at the White House on Friday, but he did post to Truth Social about a federal appeals court ruling smacking down his tariffs trade agenda as illegal, warning it would be a “total disaster for the country” if the tariffs went away.

Couple charged nearly $4,500 for two Starbucks coffees after selecting ‘no tip’ option

Starbucks has since provided a statement following the incident

A coffee-loving couple were charged close to $4,500 for two beverages at Starbucks, despite selecting a ‘no-tip’ option at the popular chain.

I mean, guys… there is a cost of living crisis going on, alongside President Trump’s tariffs, a lot of everyday goods are going up in price.

But over $4,000 for two cups of coffee? Well, that’s just absurd and, of course, a mistake.

Jesse and Deedee O’Dell had become long-term customers of Starbucks for 16 year prior to the incident, starting their day off with an iced americano and a cappuccino.

However, the couple’s opinion on Starbucks changed in 2023 after the process of ordering their usual tipple ended in a massive sum of money leaving their bank account.

Typically, the coffee order sets Jesse and Deedee back around $10, but a February 2023 order cost them a whopping $4,456.27.

Without realizing, the couple had been charged a gratuity fee of $4,444.44 on top of their regular coffee order.

What makes matters even more confusing is the fact Jesse said he remembered selecting the ‘No Tip’ option on the card machine.

It wasn’t until days later that Deedee noticed the mix-up when she was at the mall with her four kids and her card declined when she tried to purchase something.

After getting to the bottom of the missing funds, Jesse got in touch with the Starbucks district manager, and was told there must have been an error with the network that the card machine uses.

The couple was told they had been sent two checks that would add up to the full gratuity amount, but when they arrived, the checks bounced, CBS reported at the time.

That day, Jesse said they’d contacted the customer service helpline ‘probably 30 or 40 times that day’ until a representative assured them that they’d be sent new checks – though, at the time of the interview, they’d had yet to arrive.

Jesse, Deedee, and their children had been planning a trip to Deedee’s home country of Thailand to visit her sister, who she hadn’t seen for years.

Such transaction made that idea dead in the water.

A spokesperson for Starbucks later told UNILAD that Deedee and Jesse’s problem had been sorted.

“This was an unfortunate situation that has since been resolved,” they stated. “The tip was entered by the customer in error.

“While the original refund checks had a typo and therefore did not go through, we issued new ones on January 31, which were received and cashed by the customer on Monday, February 6.”
