Katy Perry doubles down on X-rated ‘love language’ act she does for Orlando Bloom

The ‘Roar’ singer eluded to comments she made about what happens when Orlando Bloom does the dishes in a special London performance

Katy Perry has revealed her thoughts for her New Year resolution and Orlando Bloom certainly has a lot to look forward to come January.

From speaking out about what she gets up to on the first day of her period to talking about her sex life with fiancé Orlando Bloom, Perry is apparently Unconditionally herself when it comes to offering fans an insight into her life.

Getting down and dirty doing the dishes

During an appearance on Alex Cooper’s Call Her Daddy podcast in September, Perry spilled some of the x-rated secrets – well, not so secret anymore – about her and Bloom’s relationship.

Without naming him, she opened up about “If I come downstairs and the kitchen is clean, and you’ve done it all, and you’ve done all the dishes, and you’ve closed all the pantry doors, you better be ready to get your d**k sucked.

“I mean like literally. That is my love language. I don’t need a red Ferrari! I can buy a red Ferrari. Just do the f**king dishes. I will suck your d**k! It’s that easy.”

And clearly it’s working for the couple, Perry doubling down on the comments.

Perry’s New Year resolution

Perry filmed concert special Night of A Lifetime at Central Hall Westminster in London yesterday (December 11) and during the gig, a fan asked her what Bloom would say the singer’s most frustrating habit is.

Eluding to her comments made on Cooper’s podcast, Perry responded: “Maybe being on time which is constantly my New Year resolution. But I think it might be that I don’t do the dishes.

“But it’s better for him now that I don’t do the dishes.”

Later on in the performance she added: “He does the dishes, he gives me water.”

And Bloom certainly seems to have no issues with the arrangement either.

Bloom’s response

When Perry first made the comments, Bloom took to the comments section of the video – shared on the Call Her Daddy podcast’s Instagram account – to respond.

He wrote: “I’ve cleaned the whole house.”

And fans of the pair have been left in utter stitches by all their comments.

One wrote: “You better believe Orlando is scrubbing the entire kitchen right now.”

“Orlando’s already has that kitchen cleaned, he’s working his way to the bathroom, laundry,” another wrote, as a third commented: “I have so many questions.”

Terrifying simulation reveals what really happened to the baby who fell into a pipe for 56 hours

The 18-month-old was trapped in a tiny pipe for over two days

A haunting simulation has revealed what happened when a toddler fell down a narrow pipe in Texas.

Trapped inside the super tight pipe, the country held its breath as authorities worked hard to free the toddler.

What happened to baby Jessica?

On 14 October 1987, Jessica McClure – aged just 18 months old at the time – was playing in her aunt’s back garden when she fell down an eight inch-wide well.

Jessica fell 22ft before she became stuck with her leg above her head.

It’s hard to imagine how it would be possible to fall down such a narrow well, but in a simulation created by Zack D. Films, baby Jessica can be seen hurtling down the pipe before getting stuck.

In the clip, Jessica is playing in the garden before she steps backwards on top of the hole.

While one leg immediately falls into the well, her other leg ends up above her head as she hurtles down the pipe.

She then becomes stuck on a dogleg within the narrow opening, where she remained for 56 tense hours.

So, how was Jessica rescued?

Incredibly, authorities managed to drill a hole adjacent to the well, before lowering a ladder into the shaft and drilling through hard rock to eventually reach the child.

After inserting a microphone into the well, rescuers were able to hear Jessica singing Winnie the Pooh, which reassured them that she was still alive.

Eventually, a paramedic climbed down the drilled shaft and was able to return with the little one.

The toddler suffered a cut to her head and also had to have her toe amputated due to an infection caused by having her foot elevated for so long.

Now a mom herself, Jessica says she cannot remember the incident at all.

Speaking to People, she said: “I had God on my side that day.

“My life is a miracle. I’m hoping my children learn from [my rescue] to always be humble.

“And to remember that if you look hard enough, there are so many good people in this world.”

People continue to be shocked by Jessica’s story even today.

Commenting on the simulation clip on YouTube, one viewer said: “Mad respect to this rescuers for not giving up and saving the poor girl. Truly amazing work.”

While another added: “I remember when that happened. It was 1987 and in Texas. I had just moved there and I had a child about her age. Jessica Mclure was her name I believe. All of us prayed so hard for that baby.”

And a third wrote: “This just made me feel so bad for that baby to go through that. So so so beyond grateful for the people who helped her! Can’t imagine her family’s relief once she made it out!”

One person spent more than an annual salary on the meal

It’s hard to imagine spending an entire house deposit on one meal, which is why people were left in shock after a man racked up a bill of $108,000 from Salt Bae’s restaurant in Dubai.

When you think about all the things you could buy for over $100,000, it seems absurd to spend so much money on one dinner.

Which is why renowned chef, Salt Bae – real name is Nusret Gökçe – has been criticised after he shared a receipt of the extravagant meal on social media.

In a post on Instagram, Salt Bae shared a picture of a check from his Dubai restaurant at the Four Seasons which totalled 398630 UAE dirham ($108,000).

The customer had managed to spend more than a year’s salary – or the price of a house – on the luxe meal, and people were pretty horrified.

Now, we know that Salt Bae’s restaurants come with a hefty price tag, after all, the chef has previously made headlines due to the high prices at his restaurants.

But people were left in awe when they saw the itemised receipt, which revealed exactly how much all of the food and drink totalled.

The check listed everything the customers had ordered during their meal, including $13 fries and three ‘Golden Steaks’, which totalled almost $1,400.

The customers also indulged in drinks including four porn star martinis ($130), two bottles of Chateau Petrus 2009 ($53,900), one bottle of Petrus 2011 ($17,700) and five double glasses of the exclusive Louis XIII cognac neat ($7,500).

The meal didn’t stop there, with the check revealing 11 ‘Golden Baklava’ desserts for $1,250.

By the time a tip of $24,500 had been added, the bill was way beyond what most people would expect to pay for a meal.

Alongside the photo, Salt Bae wrote: “Money comes money goes.”

But people were pretty horrified in the comments, with one writing: “Who tf is spending $40k on a dinner?!!!” while another said: “And you guys think this is normal 100k for dinner??!!”

And a third added: “I can probably grill and cook a steak the size of what he does for about 30 bucks and make it taste even better. Gold covered stuff is just wasting money there’s literally no health purpose and literally you can save that money.”

Another said it was ‘the most overpriced restaurant’.

Biden commutes sentences for 1,500, pardons 39 convicted of non-violent crimes

The White House hinted that this isn’t the last of Biden’s pardons.

President Joe Biden said Thursday that he was pardoning 39 people who were convicted of non-violent crimes and was commuting the sentences of 1,500 people on home confinement, who he said have “shown successful rehabilitation and have shown commitment to making their communities stronger and safer.”

The White House described the actions as the “largest single-day grant of clemency in modern history.”

“These commutation recipients, who were placed on home confinement during the COVID pandemic, have successfully reintegrated into their families and communities and have shown that they deserve a second chance,” Biden said in a statement.

According to the White House fact sheet, some of those getting clemency on Thursday include a military veteran who spends time helping church members in poor health, a nurse who has helped in emergency response and an addiction counselor who volunteers to help young people.

The White House hinted that this isn’t the last of Biden’s pardons during his final months in office, saying that “in the coming weeks, the President will take additional steps to provide meaningful second chances and continue to review additional pardons and commutations.”

Police have been visiting homes across the UK Anyone using a dodgy firestick in the UK has been issued a warning following police visits to homes across the country.

This comes as someone in the UK was jailed last month for selling and using ‘dodgy’ firesticks.

It is technically not against the law to own an Amazon firestick which has been ‘jailbroken’ in order to give access to any streamer of your choice.

It is, however, illegal to use the to stream paywalled content for free.

Police have visited homes up and down the country in a clampdown on illegal streaming.

Spearheaded by the ‘Federation Against Copyright Theft’ (FACT), a two-week enforcement operation is underway.

This is occurring in partnership with local police forces, and, as per The Mirror, is primarily focused on ‘dismantling piracy operations, targeting more than 30 suppliers selling unauthorised access to paywalled content’.

They are, however, also making stops to individual persons to serve cease-and-desist letters to those using dodgy sticks. Letters were also sent via the mail to various addresses thought to be using illegal streaming sites to watch TV, films, and live sport.

The clampdown applied to regions across the UK, which include:

  • London
  • Kent
  • Sussex
  • Norfolk
  • Northamptonshire
  • Lincolnshire
  • Staffordshire
  • East and West Midlands
  • Greater Manchester
  • Cheshire
  • Merseyside
  • Northumbria
  • North Yorkshire

The clampdown followed the jailing of Jonathan Edge, 29, for three years and four months.

Edge received the jail sentence after ignoring a cease-and-desist warning from FACT. He continued after this to sell and use dodgy firesticks, and was faced with a private prosecution by the Premier League.

In addition to this, a 42-year-old man from Newport was arrested as part of FACT’s operation.

The CEO of FACT, Kieron Sharp, said in a statement: “Our cease-and-desist measures are not just warnings—they are the first step toward holding offenders accountable. Many who ignored these notices in the past are now facing arrest and criminal charges. We strongly advise anyone involved in these activities to stop immediately.

“If you’re supplying or using illicit streaming devices or illegal IPTV subscriptions, take this as a clear warning: you are breaking the law and risk facing serious consequences.

“We will continue working with police to track down and shut down these illegal operations. The police across the UK have been unstinting in their efforts to tackle this criminality and we are grateful for their assistance.

“To those using illegal streaming services, the message is that you’re not just committing a crime; you are putting yourself at risk. These services often expose users to malware, scams, and data theft, with no recourse when things go wrong.

“The safest, smartest and only choice is to stick to legitimate providers for your entertainment.”

Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco first began dating in 2023

Selena Gomez has taken to social media to share several photographs announcing her engagement to Benny Blanco.

The Only Murders in the Building star and the producer first started dating in 2023 and have since revealed they’re getting married.

Relationship timeline

Gomez and Blanco collaborated on the song ‘I Can’t Get Enough’ which was released in February 2019, it’s music video shared the following month showing the pair together, as per Billboard.

Blanco also co-produced Gomez’s track ‘Single Soon’ which was released in August 2023, however, the pair hadn’t yet gone public with any sort of relationship.

In December of that year, Gomez confirmed she and Blanco had been dating, responding to a series of comments to fans on Instagram calling the producer her ‘absolute everything’ and admitting they’d actually been seeing each other for six months already.

The pair went Instagram official later that month, with Gomez sharing pictures with Blanco on her feed, and the romance has since seemingly blossomed from there.

Hannah Kobayashi’s family have spoken out just weeks after her dad Ryan Kobayashi died while searching for her

Warning: This article contains discussion of suicide which some readers may find distressing.

In the space of just over a month the Kobayashi family has suffered immense loss after their daughter vanished in LA.

On November 8, Hannah Kobayashi was meant to be heading to New York having departed from Maui in Hawaii, but when she landed in Los Angeles she decided against waiting in LAX airport to catch her connecting flight, and instead vacated.

The aspiring photographer is understood to have text her friend saying she had had a ‘spiritual awakening’ and traveled into the Californian city.

The 30-year-old was later spotted with an unknown man and three days later, on November 11, her family claimed to have received texts from her explaining that someone was trying to steal her identity.

Her father Ryan Kobayashi flew into LA to help search for his missing daughter. However, on November 24, Los Angeles Police Department confirmed that Ryan was found dead in what is believed to have been suicide while searching for his daughter, at around 4.00am.

Now, the Kobayashi family has released a statement through their attorney Sara Azari on Twitter, thanking those that have helped and revealing Hannah has been found ‘safe’.

“We are incredibly relieved and grateful that Hannah has been found safe. This past month has been an unimaginable ordeal for our family, and we kindly ask for privacy as we take the time to heal and process everything we have been through,” it began.

“We want to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone who supported us during this difficult time. Your kindness and concern have meant the world to us.

“Brandi Yee & Sydni Kobayashi.”

It comes more than a week after Los Angeles Police Chief Jim McDonnell gave a press briefing explaining Hannah is ‘voluntarily missing’ and that ‘she has a right to her privacy’.

“As the family is aware, late yesterday after traveling to the US-Mexico border we reviewed video surveillance from US Customs and Border Protection which clearly shows Kobayashi crossing United States border on foot into Mexico,” he said.

Adding: “To date the investigation has not uncovered any evidence that Kobayashi is being trafficked or is the victim of foul play. She is also not a suspect in any criminal activity.

“She has a right to her privacy, and we respect her choices but we also understand that the concern her loved ones feel for her.”

Doctor reveals 10 minute power napping technique that Navy SEALs ‘swear by’ to feel refreshed

A TikTok video has revealed the potential health benefits of a 10-minute power nap technique

There’s a 10-minute power napping technique used by the Navy SEALs which should give you an effective ‘quick energy boost’ and it’s even backed by a doctor.

Particularly at this time of the year with the build-up to Christmas well and truly on, it’s hard to squeeze in enough sleep so the idea of a 10-minute technique to give you a boost? Bring it on.

The technique

Dr Joe took to TikTok last month to share the hack which he claims ‘many of our elite forces swear by’.

To get into the position, you ‘find the edge of a bed or a couch’ and then pop yourself in the position where your back is on the floor and your legs are elevated up on the surface of the bed or couch.

There's a way to maximise your nap time (Getty Stock Image)

There’s a way to maximise your nap time (Getty Stock Image)

Why it’s so effective

Well, Dr Joe has said laying in this position with your legs elevated in such a way accomplishes not just one, but ‘two things’.

“First, it’s going to reduce swelling in your legs as well as return blood flow to your core – both of which are going to trigger relaxation,” he continued. “Second, by limiting the time to 10 minutes, you’re going to wake up during the light phase of sleep and therefore wake up feeling refreshed.”

The caption added: “Studies show that short naps improve alertness and mood without the grogginess of deeper sleep. This trick is ideal for a fast reset when you’re low on time, helping you feel refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of your day.”

And it’s not taken long for social media users to flock to the post and weigh in.

One TikTok user said: “If only it didn’t take me 3hrs to fall asleep I could enjoy a 10 min nap. The relaxation looks nice though.”

Another added: “I’d like to know HOW to fall asleep once I close my eyes. It’s a minimum 30-60 min no matter how exhausted I am. seriously, how do people just… sleep?”

While a third commented: “It will take me 30 minutes to get back up off the floor for that 10 minute nap.”

A fourth wrote: “When my back is out I do this for 15 minutes 2-3 times a day and usually by day two I am back to 100 percent. And apparently rested!”

And a fifth, who seemingly tried and tested the method, revealed: “Spouse said I was out in under nine minutes, a deep sleep.”

Whether you can actually get to sleep when your body is in such a rogue position is another thing entirely, I guess.

However, Sleep Advisor recommends an adjustable bed or mattress to help.

The guy revealed how much cash he’s saved since he starting driving an electric vehicle

If you’ve ever wondered how much cash driving a Tesla could save you, one EV driver has done the math for you.

It’s not new information that President Biden has made some ambitious plans to have America’s roads filled with electric vehicles.

In fact, the Biden Administration outlined plans last year to have EVs make up at least 50 percent of new car sales by 2030, as well as build a national network of 500,000 electric vehicle chargers along the country’s highways.

While it’s unclear if these plan will still go ahead when Donald Trump returns to the White House in the New Year, there’s no denying that there’s a lot of perks that come with buying an EV such as a Tesla, and that they grow more popular as each year passes.

One key benefit of purchasing an electric car is the money you save on gas – something Tesla owners have long been raving about.

For example, one person worked out that they’d spent less than $400 over a 12 month period to charge their Tesla, which worked out to be $0.023 per mile.

In comparison, Americans spent $2,148 on gas over the course of 2021, Motley Fool Money reported.

On average, Americans spend over $2,000 a year on gas (Getty Stock)

On average, Americans spend over $2,000 a year on gas (Getty Stock)

This went up to an average of $2,449 as of last year, says J.D. Power, working out to be around 3.2 percent of a household’s yearly expenses.

Now, another Tesla owner has opened up about how much money they save each month thanks to their Tesla.

Appearing on a TikTok with influencer Suleyman Dolaev, the guy explained that he has a Tesla Model 3, and in the five years he’s had it he’s raked up 100,000 miles.

When asked if he thinks he’s saved money by driving an EV, he said yes – a main part being because he’s able to charge his car at home rather than at a Supercharger.

“I haven’t seen that much of an increase in my electricity bill,” the Tesla owner added.

He was then asked about how much he saves (on average) a month because he drives an EV.

“Urm, an estimate would be maybe, like, $150 to $200,” the guy replied. “But that’s just on gas in New York City, never mind what I save on oil change and things like that.”

He went on to say that he ‘definitely recommends’ people ditch their gas car for an EV like his.

“Electrical vehicles are def the move,” echoed someone in the comments section of the TikTok video.

JK Rowling has been criticised for her comments about the trans community in the past

JK Rowling once suggested that she’ll never forgive Emma Watson and Daniel Radcliffe after showing their support for trans rights.

The Harry Potter creator has certainly come under the spotlight in recent years after she made controversial comments about the trans community back in June 2020, during the heart of the Covid pandemic.

Rowling appeared to make light of the efforts to be inclusive to the trans community as she shared a link to an article titled: “Opinion: Creating a more equal post-COVID-19 world for people who menstruate.”

On top of that, the author commented: “‘People who menstruate’. I’m sure there used to be a word for those people. Someone help me out. Wumben? Wimpund? Woomud?”

Rowling was met with much backlash amid the comments, with Harry Potter stars Watson and Radcliffe offering their support to the trans community.

Radcliffe issued an apology for ‘the pain’ Rowling’s comments had caused and wrote an essay for LGBTQ+ organization, The Trevor Project.

Watson, on the other hand, told her trans followers that she and ‘so many other people around the world see you, respect you and love you for who you are’.

While many would think Rowling would try and steer away from such comments, she caused more chaos in the trans community earlier this year.

The actor shared a since-deleted tweet about the Cass Review, which examines gender services for young people in the UK, in particular the use of puberty blockers.

Rowling called paediatrician Dr Hilary Cass’ report ‘the most robust review of the medical evidence for transitioning children that’s ever been conducted’.

The author claimed the findings showed ‘kids have been irreversibly harmed’, adding: “Thousands are complicit, not just medics, but the celebrity mouthpieces, unquestioning media and cynical corporations.”

In response to her post, one Twitter user told Rowling: “Just waiting for Dan and Emma to give you a very public apology … safe in the knowledge that you will forgive them …”

However, Rowling responded to say the two actors she worked with for so many years were not ‘safe’ in that knowledge.

“Not safe, I’m afraid,” she wrote. “Celebs who cosied up to a movement intent on eroding women’s hard-won rights and who used their platforms to cheer on the transitioning of minors can save their apologies for traumatised detransitioners and vulnerable women reliant on single sex spaces.”

Rowling has previously made clear she would not take back her decision to misgender transgender people, saying she would not ‘delete posts calling a man a man’.

She also suggested she would ‘happily’ spend time in prison rather than referring to a transgender person by their preferred pronouns, saying: “I’ll happily do two years if the alternative is compelled speech and forced denial of the reality and importance of sex.”
